Oh, yeah. Hell That music means it's time. For the show. That's how you get them in. Come on, everybody realm in live. From an ESG scented fanny pack. Yeah, it's an all new. Terrific Tuesday edition of business fans joined by analysts whole Matt buscarte. Whoo. Come on, everybody is. Sent. Well, smell. Your neighbor's fanny pack and you'll Discover it. That is horrible sounding ongoing, post-election hangover called, November 12th 2024. The financial news, headline, trigger game. Is being sponsored by free flow analytics.com. The only platform measuring board power connections and performance for free. So if you were saying it, yeah, go ahead. Go ahead. Let the people clap. They love a good first thing. They've been excited about a week. So if you say, if you were to be playing along from home, when I read a certain headline about a company, which is what we do for the most part, you could open up the database He could open up the board and you could, you could look at who the board members are, and that's a great idea. I mean, you could, if you want to play along at home or or you can just maybe you could argue in your head about Matt's gonna give a score of 1 to 10 about how triggering the headline really is. Maybe you could argue with Matt in your head about it. Now there's no argument with me, correct. So this is a very simple premise here. Is that I look like all the headlines from Saturday, and I just just an old-fashioned like like, which headline made me feel icky inside which game, like a little bit of a trigger warning? Yeah, I think you need to give yourself a bit more credit because Nobody else will as the show runner of these shows. How to read? Thousands, I understand my depression, thousands of headlines and in the last week, their dire, that's not fun. There's nothing entertaining about it. There's nothing uplifting about it unless you're an investor. You know, who's just big on stock market gains off? Yeah, baby. Which I know it's shocking to our listeners, but I'm not that person. Look If you're an investor who's interested in your money going up today, you've done like you're you're very, very happy, but it's gone UPS out. Isn't it been going up for days for yeah, it turns out if you're an investor who cares about money going up, like, in perpetuity the expected tax cuts and you know, the potential world wars and you know, all the, the pain, the next pandemic. Maybe less good. Well, actually, we have a next pandemic, headline. You, and I hate to break it to you all, but we are re-entering. The next four years is gonna, we're gonna be bringing up those arguments once again of shareholder, capitalism versus stakeholder couples. You know, it's in a come, you know, topping, Look just started. The only people they're asking to explain why the Democrats suck are birdie Sanders AOC and Elizabeth Warren and they're all like stakeholder capitalism fans. Got all they do. First of all, like sorry I just everybody suck. I feel like it's not Democrats like everybody sucks. Yeah. Well, I met sucking and winning at winning like winning at winning. Yeah, that's all I meant. That's all not as people not. You have you have from now until inauguration day to still do stuff, do what? No stop do. What? Stop just do something. They're gonna be cooking turkeys. Like they're gonna be buying a bunch of shit. They're gonna throw out for Christmas. You still have an opportunity. You still have a vote with your share, right? Like, so all those people who are happy, they're share prices went up to so go vote with those shares. Actually again several the stories have their are things, you could vote on, you could put on directors, are you could do what we love which is a, you could vote at the at these directors at the other companies, they sit out, like if they already sit on meta, but they sit on like shell, you could follow them around. You can vote them out everywhere. You want one of my favorite things? All right, let's do this guy's here. That's not Show music. Oh, you want game show? Maybe it's not a game. I don't know what this is. I don't know. There's no winners here. It's just I lose. That's the game. The winner is that were commiserating with somebody, okay? If you're listening and you feel commiserated with, let us know because otherwise I'm the loser of this game again out of the roughly match, right? I look at thousands of headlines over the span of a few days and I, but what I do is I called them into I tag about maybe 10% of them, maybe 100, maybe 5% of them. So I don't have those, maybe roughly 100 to 200 come headlines. They actually tagged. These are the ones that gave me a little bit of a gag reflex. Oh, okay. So that's so the, the game little bit. Will Matt gag, that's that? I don't know. You, it's up to you one to 10 ready. You'll understand as the headlines go, you'll kind of you'll catch up to what we're doing here. You're not gonna want to not catch up oh the last headline because that music because that's the one where I'm really curious where her mouth's gonna land. If anyone who knows my mascara, I'm I'm really interested how I was gonna lay on and they all do I come on. Let's go feel like intense and angry. That's the right music. That's been a really long Halloween season of that election, right? It's just constant Halloween. first headline, Donald Trump's Election win will create a Dei Reckoning, that forces companies to either stand up for their policies or step away. Oh, okay. So this was coming when you, this is a victory for the anti-de Dei crowd. Yeah, this was a guarantee, right? And Was already happening even under Biden? Can we stop saying Dei? Because one thing one thing about this is is true. Like I I like the idea that a company has to like stand up or like like actually stopped giving it lip service. Like I like that idea. Like the funny part is Robbie Starbucks for all is anti-diagonal. He's out there saying like that company says the thing but they don't do with thing, right. We did that for Years, 20 years. So nothing new there. But saying Dei Reckoning. Isn't that like black and gay people? Reckoning, isn't that what that says, is the women don't forget women. I mean, Here, I yes. Are we just saying that we hate anybody who's not a white male isn't that just be Dei, it should be be black, G gay, and W woman, DJ W, the DJ wrecking. Well, let's Workshop the acronym because that was, that wasn't great, but, but I do think the election W. Like, if you were to rewrite that headline, it says, Donald Trump's election win will create a reckoning for women, black people, and the lgbtq community, right while all of us are depressed. Yes, and that forces companies to either stand up for their policies or step away. That means when they step away what the companies are saying is we actually don't care about women black people or the lgbtq. Imagine that's your statement. So yeah. How much is that is the statement please which is this trigger this. All right. Clearly, I'm triggered. So it's got to be a nine at least, right? Like I'm literally arguing the headline to best start to this game. All right, let's move on. Okay, so wait, we need intense like music. He doesn't really get better. This one. I don't like this one either tech companies. Well, I think it's a, I don't like any of these. So I won't say that. I won't preface every headline by saying it scares me. Yeah, companies like ready for this one. Tech companies will have it easy under Trump. Just let that sink in but there's more of a headline just like they did under Biden. Oh, Wow. Um I this is like such a nothing Burger headline like we're all shocked the Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg have no morals or compunction or like there were about like a way well like there. Like we're shocked that a bunch of billionaires who own tech companies. They're so terrified of the alternative democracy. They gave themself dual-class shares and perpetuity most of them Bezos didn't but these is effectively like a king sitting up top that company anyway, he wouldn't even leave the company. He's still executive chair of the company. These people so terrified that you will take something away from them. That are we shocked that like, they cozied up to Trump and buy like this, this is, this is about self-preservation. But president accountability. I hear I'm talking. I'm just oversight. None of that. Come on, come on, come on. This doesn't trigger well. The same is really live. This is, this is like, this is just been happening forever and yeah, this is nothing Burger. Come on, give me something. Oh, let's stay with the big, some of the Big Data, big sexy CEOs, Elon. Musk's America Pac spent about 200 million dollars to help electronic with most of that money coming from the Tesla CEO. I mean, let's be fair, let's be fair. All like you like that? we're talking about this, this is Obvious. I don't know. Like this is it look, if you want me to be objective, which I know you do. Musk made the single greatest investment of all time. He spent 120 million dollars and his personal. Net worth went up 20 billion dollars. Right. Yeah. Is there any better way to spend your money and the investor class had nothing to say about about his rule at Tesla or the board members? They had no input, well report, they don't care that all their net worths went up. Well, if their version of the world is purely a shareholder capitalism. Yes. So like this is legitimately a great investment for him. People are saying like he's a genius for having invested. It does it trigger you more? If I include some of the headlines that I didn't actually include which is that he's already been on the phone to talk to the zelinski in the Ukraine. He's already telling saying who he thinks the head of the Senate should be. He's already calling for an end to the FED. I mean do you care Swisher? Call them alaniya because he's basically like Trump's like sugar you more. You just, you just what you this was happening. Look, the trigger here is that like the American public voted to tear down the system and handed the system to like seven billionaires. They are the system you morons. Well, the trigger to me too was a Elon Musk company is one of the few, the We're investors actually have a voice. It's one share, one vote and they still they wouldn't even kick off his brother off. That's because they're all part of the system, I know. But still system still like like that, that we are looking at this and saying, like, oh the Liberals and their wacky ideas in this country and they're there. They were gonna like there were, there were like conspiracy theories that the Liberals were going to like thwart democracy and like, one party rule. Elon Musk said if she wins, it's one party rule forever, right. Meanwhile, Elon Musk is literally one party rule. The party is a bunch of billionaires. But yeah, the difference being that the Harris at least got like, what 47% of the vote were as a Tesla. The investor class. It's not that close. No, it's not even its 90% of the vote every single time. Yeah. Like his brother and it's a, what's the investor class in, why are they so on? Why are they so a new one? What they don't have anything to think about at least the American populace was closed. No, they think one thing which is like, like dollar today went up like stopped. He said money went up, which was fun with that. We're not planning at all for a future in like of any kind. Like we're just what's your score? This one is like it's so expected, I don't know. It's hard to score this one. I'm gonna give this one a six it's like, trigger ish. But it's not. Met is Zuckerberg. That means Mark Zuckerberg. That means CEO for the music. Founder and chair medical platforms. That's Mark Zuckerberg Meadows, Zuckerberg not liable in lawsuits over social media harm to children know Come on. Let's you can't even trigger me with that. That's that that's been. We've been talking about that for 20 years. So that's a two. And so this is how you're playing the game is that, that all the, the things that are bad, you're just since you're not surprised about, you're not gonna dig. Well, you could have read that headline three weeks ago, in fact, that is a headline from like a month ago, didn't they? Were found not liable like that? No, this is a, I do like that Robbie Starbucks made a whole movie about, like, protecting children from trans people. Meanwhile, Mark, Zuckerberg literally is sued for not protecting children because they are addicted to social media. And they, there's a multitude of harms that happened when they're on so media, I'm gonna be clear about this is from a Reuters article. This this came out today. This article, a federal judge said, met up platform, CEO? Mark Zuckerberg is not personally liable, in 25 lawsuits accusing his company of Addicting children to social media. How that's possible when he owns 50 7%. Of the whole thing is maddening is the whole thing is maddening. Yeah, this is about metis efforts to conceal from children to serious, mental health, risks of using Facebook Instagram. But you know why he The children I suppose. Yeah. Fuck you children. That's right. If you get addicted to cigarettes, fuck you. It's your fault. Yeah. Well, you go up 12 year old. You shouldn't. You shouldn't have been attracted to smoking a package, a cigarette. I gotta say, I am I'm still forever amazed. The one success that America seems to have is that we, we fought back against big tobacco. Most of our young people don't smoke cigarettes anymore. Well, when you travel, everyone seems to smoke, not in America, but yet things like this. It's just like a shrug and like, oh, whatever, you know, who cares? I can't understand how a country that is. So hell-bent, on talking about democracy, does not even recognize that there's an entire alternative democracy that no one participates in like, like, we don't care about it all, and certain people, literally, just make themselves dictators, but we think it's fine. It's fine. What do you not personally liable? What do you think? It's it's, it's, it's expected, right? Like And the worst part is when the, when the just because it's expected, doesn't mean it's not, you know, I didn't say it's not true. Yeah, sure. I put I'm not that triggered by because I've already been triggered by it right. Like it's already like. So this is not deep triggering, I'm giving it a five. So this is where I miss our old employee ml lurking. She wasn't old but she, you know, our former employee because she had me a bunch of nines and tens and like you everything this nine. Yeah, all right, okay, this one is sure to make you feel something. You were talking about pandemics at the top of the show and now we have the facetiously. Now we have a president who ostensibly people want to help fight things like pandemics even though he may be failures Bleach, then you're good bird, flu begins it. No man, spray, no, no, no, no, no scramble to safeguard people and livestock know, this is a 40 like, like, come on you, I don't like this. I don't like this that, you know, we're gonna enter a new presidency in this country. With a guy who's solution to the last pandemic was pretty much. It was like in Liberal New York. So let him die. And drink chlorine, where is answers, right? Like One of the, one of the things that I was most quote, unquote proud of, at the beginning of our company was that, because we spent so much time in the Daily News Headlines, the daily Financial headlines, we seem to be able to predict Trends and patterns pretty well. And one of the things that we picked up on before anyone, any of our colleagues and friends was that the coronavirus is really bad. It's coming. And we were already worried about it in January in our shows. And everybody thought we were paranoid Freaks and so I you know, I mean, just pay attention, I don't know. I could see humans. All I can say oh like my wife was flying from India home and we had been covering coronavirus, we're just before it was called anything. It was like, it wasn't cold yet. It didn't have a name, right? Like it was like mysterious like ailments illness. Killing lots of people and I told her look, I know nobody does this, but put on a mask, put on a face mask for the trip home because like this thing's real and she did, and then like a month later, the world was shut down because what shower in this one, I don't know. 40, this one's a 500, like if you ever cheat, I'll give you a five because this one is horrible, like, well actually. There's a lot to be afraid of for some of us with Trump winning the election. One of them being that first headline about the Dei Reckoning, but but, but but it is his management of hell of a Health crisis which is already you know, visibly that's one thing that personally scares the hell out. He's currently putting like the discussion is he's gonna put RFK Jr. And Environmental Lawyer who doesn't believe in vaccines in charge of Health in America. This is why is to cut the NIH? That's listen, this is one of the subtext of why. I think that what we cover are important in, our company is important. Is that what you didn't do, is you rely on a lot of corporate policy and a lot of the voices of our Business Leaders to counteract, the lunacy coming out of our federal government, right? Yeah. Not a great look when our corporate leaders are the ones who said we're not going to take a side on anything anymore because we're worried that Robbie Starbucks going to come after us. We're not going to Jeff Bezos. I'm going to sit out this, you know. Like we're not going to make a endorsement at the Washington Post. Like Jamie dimon says everything except I actually like Kamala Harris better for this country, he was willing to say everything else. I don't know that relying on our corporate leaders. At this point, I actually think we need to Pivot to rely on the corporate democracy. Well, I'm not the corporate leaders, I don't even mean that I, I mean that and then again, this is why we push things like diversity in the Border. I'm not always diversity of skin color and gender by diversity of thought and experience and skill because one of the things that we talk about here is that that you need a board that is ready for shit including like cyber attacks including pandemics. Yeah. Right. So that so that the airline industry doesn't just suddenly fold all together and twiddle their thumbs because they're not prepared for anything like a great Point. Great reminder, that the airline industry is the same airline industry that we covered three weeks ago that they are all doing stock BuyBacks again, right? Like we're literally instead of planning for a major risks, there's no lessons learned and and investors you keep voting these people. That's what I said all other Is an investors technically don't have to twiddle their thumbs and they don't have to support every candidate that the board puts on the board elects, they can actually step in and say, okay fine, but we're kind of looking for someone who has expertise in these areas in case that in case X happens. Meaning in case, one of the risks that you outline in your in report actually we want a direction that represents fighting off that risk. So actually we're gonna say no to this person. Not because we hate them but because we want we want more in different skillsets here to represent us. Sure hold. How about that, for an idea? You know the funny part is we talk about investment, liberal idea. People that's not a woke idea, it doesn't have to be you, wait for Black Rock to like like to do that. Like, you don't have to wait for me. Massive investors, every investor who buys a share has a vote right, which means if you bought three shares on Robinhood of something because you were gambling and it was fun. You still get the right to vote on the thing. You too can say that person is not actually qualified to do this, like job of managing the risks that they say are coming. So I feel free to vote. You know, your proxies when you get that stupid slip in the mail, just, you know, vote, vote against everybody like, change it up. You want to yeah? Next headline. I don't your body might. Yeah, you give it a 500. Oh yeah. 500 sure. Which I'm accepting because it's really gonna help the average your body, my choice. Women are women face. New surge of hate speech. New surgeons. Are you one? Yeah. Of hate speech on X and tiktok following Trump's election, Victor. I'm sure that includes other social media, but this article from fast companies just focusing on X and tiktok. Ah again no no counterbalance, no checks and no, no. There's there's no oversight of these companies. This is the first headline, mostly dual class or like state held, right? I mean there's no pushback at these tech companies. So Heather Cox Richardson, who does a newsletter just sent one out last night and it started with the fact that the Taliban congratulated Donald Trump on his win and what they said was, they congratulated America for not electing a woman to lead it, right? Like, it was beyond Sinister. Like yeah. You've just, you've made a dark show. Way, darker thing, but your lips you lips me? that's, Sorry, eclipsed me. Yeah, I was gonna say I I don't know what lip singing you means, but that's fine. I'm happy to have done it. Um I'm triggering and Miss speaking myself. Yeah, good. That is what that's the actuality when like Trump said, it rallies, like I will protect every one of you women but the reality is not that the reality is something else that we're allowing to happen. And there's already reports in the New York Times of women are starting, moving to adopt a movement in South Korea for be movement if yes and which they no longer have sex with men, they're just saying like it's you know what? It's not worth it anymore, right? Like there's too much risk to us as human beings. It's a version of sex. Diversion just like the Boeing Union. It's the perfect time right to to bargain for your rights. I mean, to me it sounds like the it sounds like the Boeing plane like it's, you know, like the perfect time to write an Airbus and Stead like like whatever your alternative, my phone's go for it. Again, my focus here is not on the, the idiocy and lunacy and misogyny and sexism of trump as bad as it is, it's that there is a platform. There are platform multiple platforms with no checks and balances that are able to disseminate this stuff like like in a blink of an eye to billions of people. One of whom is run by a guy who like paid to get Trump elected and doesn't care. Well, sure, and hates women himself. The other one is run by the Chinese government. So like and then, if you added all the rest of them in snap, is run by one guy named Evan Spiegel who has no investor pushback, because he has all the voting power, all of voting power, and Zuckerberg owned who has all the power. So, we are literally targeting about three human beings, and one foreign government. That's all we're talking about. Yeah. And they're allowing, okay. You're triggering me. More say your body might. This is a 10. This is definitely. It would be a 500 but bird. Flu kills people at least. This is six months away from killing. Not sure. This isn't killing people Harris. Probably is, you're probably right next headline. This is a, this is the pressing me. Here, this whole show here, my whole life Harris's, election loss shows American women. Still face a glass ceiling. I know. Yeah, you can say it's expected, right? I mean, you know, this already. Yeah, that's this is like This is at least she avoided the glass Cliff, right? It would have been a glass Cliff. Yeah. If she had won the country, would have Gone. Bananas. There would have been Revolt. Unfortunately, people with guns and is the one thing. I'm kind of like sheepish to admit to my, some of my friends is that there was a little bit of a secret relief that they, that the bullies won because then I don't have to endure like four years of bullying done. Not only on the internet but with guns with that really the least Ralph Macchio thing you've ever. Yeah, I know, I realize I'm a whim, but but it's like, the only Silver Lining is that they're not even angrier now. Yeah, it is. It was a great thought, I didn't say it was a great thought it is triggering that if Kamala Harris was Josh Shapiro or like he's Jewish so far without analogy, but if she was a man, like Gavin Newsom like yeah, good Christian hero like, Not hard man. Like yeah, that probably would have been a win that is really that. Yeah I do think that probably but I'm gonna give this a six because let's move on now oil giant shell wins appeal against Landmark. Dutch climate ruling to slash emissions. So this ruling came out. I think a few years ago, Where they, they won this incredible ruling which basically was pushing shell to reduce its emissions by a certain year. I don't remember what the exact Figures were. But now, of course, in honor of our of this election, we shall wins this appeals. It really has nothing to do the election but kind of, but kind of doesn't isn't wasn't this brought by a bunch of 2021. What? What I thought that I thought the was this, the lawsuit that was brought by a bunch of women or like, nuns or something. It was climate change. Campaigners, this is in 2021, they ruled that shell must reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 45% from 2019 levels to 2000. I am trying to see who the big recollection that it was like, like, You know, it's an environmental campaign group. In the Dutch Branch of friends of the earth. Oh, and then maybe I'm thinking of a different thing. I'm thinking of an American you think of an American case I believe. Yeah, this seems, this seems like an inevitability I don't. Well, I don't like that attitude. I don't, I don't like your your resigned to defeat we're in a we're in a post climate world. Like, you know, we moved into a post-truth world. The first time, Trump got elected, we're in a post climate world. This is the world where we used to have a climate. Now, we don't have one right. Like, so now we're in a post climate world burn everything. Let it on fire fire, whatever. Like this was a while fires in New York now, right? And I realize I'm about to say something that's very unwanted and kind of like how to the things I see on LinkedIn. That make me crazy. But from my perspective, one of the things of irritates me too is that all this pushback against sort of ESG things ESG industry things there's no Counterpoint to it. There's no there's no one representing the ESG industry that's yelling and screaming and like fighting back the way that they have their Robbie Starbucks like where are there whereas the people on our side. But but where where are the popular? Where's the populist messaging railing against this decision to to appeal to repeal this, this decision right there where there are people, right? Like they're, they're they come in two flavors. Oh morning. Star or msci. Why can't they contribute? Some thought leadership on these topics. One flavor is gluing yourself to the Mona Lisa. That's one flavor. Okay. Except the Mona Lisa's up high on the wall. Yeah, it's kind of hard to get your hand up that high. It's actually awkward like it's all comfortable. So nothing. There's some like there's some barriers around it. Yeah, go ahead. The second flavor is like the nuns and the non-profits that rocks. They file proxies that say, like give us a report about this thing, but it turns out that this This that's happening investors like this more than they like the nuns of the non-profits so that doesn't really work either. So you better unfettered shareholder. Capital left with a bunch of scientists pleading. We're all dead unless you stop. People stuck to the Mona Lisa who are like please stop, because I'm stuck to the Mona Lisa. Now to make you pay attention to me or nuns desperately begging investors to just get some more information and maybe you'll do something different this time. Maybe you'll think differently that's just gonna overturning a decision made three years ago and six. This is a it was inevitable. Okay, this one. No One's Gonna like, I like it. I couldn't even believe this is a real thing, but I don't I don't even really want to go too deep into this because I just hate this so much this headline. Telegram, CEO Pavel Dura. Now, remember, we've been talking a lot about this guy because France had him arrested, right? Yeah. Mostly because he's basically creating a untraceable network of of Nazis and hate mongers, and, and Drug Runners, and child porn Peddler's. And, but this is where we else. Anything else you want to? This is where we first started talking about telegram, CEO puzzle, der because it's not a publicly traded company. Right? It's not right. No, probably held. No, no, but here's a new headline telegram. CEO, Pablo Duro is funding free IVF for women. That's good. Who have his children. Oh no. Why did you ruin it with the second part of that. According to this reports, he has father more than 100 children, over 15 years of sperm donation. And he's doing this look. This program is open to Russian women out of an IVF clinic in Moscow. What is this? This is Obsession that this is the future face of unfettered control of like text. Do you think I know people think? Oh, this is just silly. This is not liar. No, this is not an outlier. This is it. This is the future dystopia of conservatives can have pizza gate and talk about like Satanist rituals that Hillary Clinton was having. No, it's all nonsense meal at the same exact time, Elon Musk and Pavel of our simultaneously trying to populate the entire. This is not a room. Part of the reporting actually happening part of the reporting is based on his own post on his own. As his own company this is not like this is not rumor conspiracy. I mean, these are the grossest human beings alive. The most Fish Man. Babies alive. Why? This is why I go crazy, when when the investor class is not pushed back because this is the future unfolding in front of your very eyes. You, you're witnessing a shift in the global Dynamic. I mean, you're seeing it happen. You're seeing it 70. This is, this is prima nocta and Braveheart. This is like 17th century Catholicism like and you beat them breed them, right? Like in your investors, you're literally witnessing a significant transfer of wealth as this is happening. And you're still voting for every director, anyone, anyone. You supports forget a transfer. Well, this is the, you're enabling, I'm not like you're doing this Behavior. Like you basically have said, as long as my dollar goes up, these creepers can do whatever. Yeah, I don't care. I don't actual independent board. I don't care if they control the voting power, I don't like I can't do anything because of my fiduciary duty to make stock go. Up. But frankly, you're pretty sure your duty comprises three things. It's a duty of care, duty of loyalty duty of good faith, right? Good faith. Is you have to consider the fact that repopulating the world with Elon Musk and Pavel. Durov sperm is, maybe not the thing that you should be funding or about like, your, your duty of care. There are other stakeholders on Earth where they're a ripple effects to your investment in these people. This is, this one's really this one. Like this one, and your body, my choice is the same exact thing. I want to change your body, my choice to be 500 along with this one. So 250 each, let's make it like, a know, your body. My choice was a 10. You're I want to fight and I want to make what I want to make it a 500. And this one, a 500 because you're realizing, you're adding a bunch of 500. It's fine. Yes, I'm realizing. What is out of control? Just like the world. This game is out of control and let's not forget. Something that no one seems to talk about anymore. I guess it's lost. It's like, flavor of the month. You can think, citizens united for Elon Musk, 200 million dollar paycheck? Can we, at least get behind that? Yeah, I mean, at least get that fight going. I mean, I know people like now that now who's fighting? No, no, still talks about citizens united. She's the only one. She's the only one. Literally, the only one she's alone, but now, you're right to talk about it. You're right. To still be angry about it. Finally, on our incredibly heartwarming and uplifting trigger game. November 12th 2024. This is a, this is a philosophical one for Matt to ponder. This is gonna be interesting. I want to hear your response to this one. A cruise company. I know you're already out but wait, just company is offering a four year journey to escape Donald Trump's president. Wow. What do you think about that? I think about calling this the skip forward package. Wow, I'm trying to see how much this costs. I think it's packages range from 40,000 dollars to 260,000. That's seems cheap. What do you get for 40,000 dollars? Have their own room? Um yeah they get a room meals and 40 thousand dollars. Do they put you in an overhead compartment for four years? Like you get free beer and wine? That's it. You don't get any food. You get food. Yeah. Um, but you get to escape, you get to escape the Trump presidency by sailing at Sea before you do anything about that. So, it does this appropriate reaction, it might be the last time you get to see half the things that you would Cruise, you know? Like because everything's gonna be underwater anyway. Like oh, interesting point. So I, um, this is not this book. This both floats. Look it If I may be frank, yes, there is a there is a very strong contingent that was looking at the next four years and saying is this country, this, you know, United States worth trying to save, what's staying and fighting or just escaping, is it time to escape because clearly half the country, the part that voted because a bunch of Democrats, apparently stayed home for this one. Half the country feels like this is a good idea, second time, right? Well, I don't know if they think that but yeah, might be more complicated than that, but go ahead. The headlines are your body, my choice and and Mark Zuckerberg is not liable for hurting children. And and so, what we're saying, we're okay with that, right? Like we're choosing a path, that path is generally. Stock go up and all else can fail, right? Like that's the path that we're choosing. The Taliban thinks it's great. Tell Taliban is congratulating Donald Trump. This might not be the least, logical. Oh, outcome. Like yeah, your journey except I will say to anyone on the, on the left side of the spectrum, anyone who voted for Harris, who is who is considering leaving the country and giving up the fight, you're basically abandoning the very people that you are purporting to want to help, right? You're just making that because those people can't afford to go anywhere so it, you know, I I understand the urge you stay in fight just fight. Let me liberal Elite like you just like you, you're presuming. They want to be helped somehow like okay. That's true, what's true? Yeah, you're right. Absolutely true. Um, I think actually the interesting thing is staying the stay and fight is not a stay in fight. You cannot be able to stay and fight. Like, you'll be able to vote in two years and midterms and whatever and that's what the political processes want you to do this day. And fight is, why'd you go buy some stock and vote out everything like head who turns this in, like who sat this election out, who gave Millions if not billions of dollars more than ever, this guy elected, you know, that is a time to pay attention to the alternative democracy right more than ever did you. Action. And something that Both combines your future Financial Security. Look the data suggests that only 29% of people who make less than 40,000 dollars. A year, actually, own stock of any kind. If I looked at nuns, be like the place, like, by education. If you have a high school degree, you only 40% of people with a high school degree in this country own stock. You know how the rest of the country makes all their money. They own stock. You mustn't make 26 billion dollars because like someone gave them cash. Yes, not cash. His make believe the fictional piece of paper went up and he can cash that out and sell it to you. The sucker. While he has so many billions of dollars, he doesn't even have a place to put it right? Participate. Go out, buy some stock and vote. That's you can, and you can go, right? The alternative democracy is, you can vote in two ways. You can vote as a consumer. You can, you can actually choose the products based on the values that you believe in. And then you can, then you can either buy stock in the company that you believe in and you can vote for the people there or you can buy stock in the companies. Maybe you don't believe in and like the nuns you can actually exercise your your right to like have a point of view and say look I think it's really an article match saying that saying become a nun. I think it's really hard to change consumer Behavior. Like if you only have my brother lives in like Upstate Maine, he's only got a Walmart to go shop at that's it. He never, I never see him. Yeah. He's, he doesn't like come over. Yeah, Mayors don't like to hang out. We like to say. Yeah. But he's only got a Walmart as this grocery store. That's it. There's no grocery store within a like 100 miles of him except for one Walmart, that's where in shops. It's really hard for him to change his behavior and like be I'm outraged about how what Walmart's doing. I don't want to shop there. You can't really you can't just in Portland and go to Trader. Joe's. Yeah. You know what he could do? He could buy stock in a company and he could effectively send a message by voting, by writing to investor relations. This is another democracy. He could call up the blackrocks, the vanguards of the world and say, you need to vote against every director and every account that I own. Yeah you can or or you buy a ticket for your cruise, what's your what's your number? What's your vote on the four year? Yeah now you you got me back to the headline Now 50 what's your number? I just did not trigger me feel like like a weird happy. I'm gonna give it a two. All right, let's wrap up to scoring for today. Let's start with the median, the median, the median. Wow, six. Well I wanted to give people maybe a more accurate version of what the average, but the average on a scale of one to 10 the average score in today's trigger Financial headline, game is 154, that's the real number show. That's hazelnuts. I'm Randall, soulmate. We are free float. We're gonna keep doing some of these shows, but we're talking about what to do. Next changes. Give me ideas to us. Yeah, we want to be active. We want to create some motion here. We don't want to tell me because we can't afford that cruise. We're gonna stay and fight. Yeah, we don't, we don't have choices. So we gotta stay here, but reach out to us. If you want to join the fight, if you want to start the wrong time to give up, probably the wrong time is now if you're triggered by these headlines, ask us what we should do. Tell us what we should like, tell us what we should do. Ask what you can do at a minimum at a minimum. If you work for, if you, if you work a government work in Ohio, and you're angry at Boeing, and you're suing Boeing, at least, vote against the directors on the board of all next time. Like, give you the data for Christ's sake, you get a mulligan, you get a mulligan that's our show, we'll be back on Friday with another show. Until then, goodbye.
