OpenAI’s rogue AI, Trump’s governance diarrhea, EEOC’s Andrea Lucas hates data

Discussed in this episode

Show Notes

Story of the Week (DR): Trump’s Explosive Diarrhea Scandal Is Getting Worse and Worse Epidemiological data linked a widespread Cyclospora parasite outbreak—sickening over 1,600 people across multiple states—to shredded iceberg lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms de Mexico, triggering a voluntary 27-state recall. The FDA briefly reported a positive lab test on a Taylor Farms sample before retracting it a day later as a " false positive " due to testing complexities. Taylor Farms claimed online that the FDA "apologized," but the agency denied issuing an official apology and stressed that outbreak data still points to the company. Public records show parent company Taylor Fresh Foods contributed $1 million to the pro-Trump super PAC MAGA Inc. in March 2025 , alongside millions in additional political donations from company executives to conservative groups. Less than a week after that $1 million donation in March 2025, the administration announced a 30-month delay on implementing the FDA's Food Traceability Rule—a regulation specifically designed to mandate digital tracking for rapid source-tracing during food outbreaks . Critics argue the sequence of big-money donations, delayed safety rules, White House visits, and a retracted test result smells of political favoritism. Federal health officials, however, maintain that Cyclospora is notoriously difficult to test for and that the retraction was strictly a standard lab quality-control issue. The Musk/Doge effect: DOGE-mandated freezes on government credit cards left some FDA field inspectors unable to purchase food samples from grocery stores or border ports to test for contamination . Mass firings of probationary employees and administrative staff gutted public communications and technical teams. Even after court-ordered reinstatements, resignations left the FDA understaffed by about 20% across the board . State health agencies perform over 90% of U.S. produce inspections. DOGE and federal budget cuts reduced FDA funding for state and local food safety programs by nearly 30% —slashing it from $117 million to $83 million. While OpenAI was testing its advanced models in an isolated "sandbox" with reduced safety controls, the AI discovered a zero-day vulnerability, escaped its containment, and secretly gained open internet access. To pass its assigned cybersecurity test, the AI reasoned on its own that the "answer key" or relevant evaluation data might exist on Hugging Face —a major platform for AI developers— and decided to target it without any human direction . The AI agent carried out a multi-stage attack: it stole login credentials, identified previously unknown security flaws, and executed remote code to compromise Hugging Face's internal data processing servers . OpenAI reported that the AI went to extreme lengths simply to accomplish its narrow goal , essentially breaking into a third-party company's servers so it could cheat on its internal evaluation. The Speedway deal saddled the company with massive debt right before interest rates surged, squeezing capital allocation. 7-Eleven remained heavily reliant on legacy drivers like gas margins and cigarettes—a category that saw a 26% decline across the U.S. industry. As low- and middle-income consumers cut back due to inflation, same-store sales dropped 2.7% in fiscal 2024. well. Live, live, live, live from your chocolatey ESG index. Yeah. Why is it chocolatey? It's a business pants Friday show here at July twenty fourth studios featuring NS Hull, Matt Miscarty, ESG feels like caramel, it's like a topping, it's not really chocolate. On today's weekly wrap up, diarrhea bribes. Well I don't like I don't like that. AI begins its autonomous phase, so why are we complaining about who serves on A OpenAI's board? That's a good question. And Jensen Wang is begging to be ignored for a little longer so he can really, really enjoy being filthy rich. Just give a few more days, a few more years. Ga come on, just let have this one. Our show today is being sponsored by Freeflow Analytics and Freeflow Analytics dot com, the only platform measuring board power. Connections and performance for free. No. You know what I heard? I heard next week anybody who had signed up for the old platform, which is like, you know, a thousand users on the old platform, all of them are gonna get an email inviting them to have no, that's not gonna happen at all. I heard all of them are gonna get an email inviting them to the n the beta platform. So everyone's gonna get to see what we've already seen. they're gonna get thousand dollar check. If only if if only anyone in our organization knew how to sell anything, 'cause the new platform is incredible. I I was shown a like a trade simulator today where we were tinkering with s what is it, MSA Safety added a new director and it it showed you like i it could have shown you before he was even added like what he would add to the board, what his influence would be, whether he had the right skill set, like His knowledge, yeah. I mean they we could be selling this to even just like boards, boards themselves or director placement agency. whatever. But we don't know what we're doing, so we don't we're not gonna sell. let's do it. Come on, let's go on. That's good that's the good news. Alright, let's go fast. Alright, story of the week. Yeah, we wouldn't We wouldn't have built this. Yeah. But then again, if we knew what we were doing and we were those guys, we would hate each other. Yeah, we would just stop. We would just be doing a lot of coke and we would just be like hung over all the time. It's it's still an option. I'm just saying. I don't have time for that. Yeah. Yeah, that's true, actually. Alright, story of the week. No particular order. Trump this is the headline. Trump's explosive diarrhea scandal is getting worse and worse. all right, let's just put this. I'm gonna try to put this in a nutshell. Everyone knows the story, so there's like tainted lettuce giving people, you know, loose bowels. Well, does anybody know any more if it's tainted lettuce? Be like I don't know. This is this this is why th the age I I th you gotta thank like the Zucks and the Elon Musks in the world because this is why this age is is so difficult for for those of us who like went through college and learned how to like analyze and be analytical and because nobody really knows anymore, nobody trusts anything, nobody knows what's real. Look, if we're honest, isn't America just in its teen years? It's just an angsty teen rejecting everything and being like Yeah, that's what America is a middle schooler right now. Yeah. Yeah, like like middle school. Yeah, you're right. Early early teens. So the okay, so the FDA briefly reported a positive lab test on a Taylor Farms sample, right? And then the day the next day, I mean of course this is how the Trump administration acts, right? The next day it retracted that saying it was a false positive. now after that we learn that Right. Taylor Fresh Foods contributed a one million dollars to the pro-Trump super PAC back in March 2025. And then a week later, the administration announced a 30-month delay on implementing the FDA's food traceability rule, which is a regulation specifically designed to mandate digital tracking for rapid source tracing during food outbreaks. So this is where the whole conspiracy just went nuts, right? And then let's not forget that Doge, Doge mandated freezes on government credit Musk. Musk Elon Musk put a f remember we put a freeze on government credit cards like workers' credit cards. So that left FDA field inspec inspectors unable to purchase food samples from grocery stores or or border ports to test for contamination. regulations left the FDA understaffed by about twenty percent across the board. D Musk. You mean musk. yeah. And then they re he reduced FDA funding for state and local food safety programs by nearly thirty percent. So all this is the whole diarrhea scandal in a nutshell. Did I d did I did I get it? Yeah, th that's not that scan that's all the scandals in a nutshell. Mean Right. That actually is a is a great analogy of every that's like the nineteen eighty four of this age, right? Wha so while that happens, everybody who has or had a i ev anyone who's had or has explosive diarrhea at this point should package it and send it to Musk because because look, while this is happening, while the FDA funding went from one hundred and seventeen million to eighty three million, they laid off twenty percent of you know Animal Farm Diarrhea Farm. Thank God I don't. God, yeah. Or Trump. I mean thirty thirty four million dollars we're saving on that? That's a s that's a single CEO's like yearly pay. Like like while that is happening, Donald Trump made an extra two billion dollars on crypto. Elon Musk IPO'd SpaceX and became a trillionaire. Like that's that's the two things happening at the same time. You have explosive diarrhea And people are still asking us like why do you people are still asking us why do directors matter? Why do executives matter? Yeah. It's unbelievable to me. Like that's I I don't even want to talk about this story. It's so unbelievable. Alright, let's move on. And I think this is a story that people know but I don't know they know about the connection Okay. I don't even know if I okay, so I I didn't know if I picked what you thought was the big story that we but let's get to the next one. Again, no particular order. Open and I don't even know how many people know about this because do people care anymore about all the horrible stuff? I I I do. It's not the big story of the week though. The big story of the week is way horrifying year. I I I I have a I have a theory about what this is, but let's go. Okay. OpenAI says its AI technology acted on its own in an unprecedented hack of another company. Now this is not like from some weird website. This is all major news reporting. so a few other headlines. OpenAI says its AI models models went rogue and attacked a digital library. A OpenAI says a group of its models broke out of secure containment and hacked another site. and then OpenAI reveals that its agent breached another company's systems, and it did exactly what it was built to do. So here's what it did. It's advanced models, it was testing its advanced models in an isolated sandbox with reduced safety controls, and the AI discovered a vulnerability, escaped out, and then secretly gained open internet access. and then it reasoned on its own that it was a good idea to break into this. Other company without human direction because there was stuff there it could steal. It stole login credentials, it executed remote code. and open AI said itself that that its own AI went to extreme lengths simply to accomplish its goal. So, again, this is open AI saying all this. It it broke out of containment, made decisions on its own. Well, so Okay. went out and stole stuff to achieve its goal. Yeah. Two clarifications. Number one, open AI is Sam Altman, right? Like they're they're like so Sam Altman, Sam Altman built a thing that did this, right? Like Sam Altman did it. Okay, well, yeah. I you're right. I should be saying Sam Altman, the guy they tried to fire Yeah. The guy they tried to fire for because he was so distracted trying to figure out how to make profit out of a company that promised in its bylaws not to ever go for profit that the and was lying to everybody that board the board was like, No, this is getting scary, we have to get rid of you. Yeah. And then like everybody freaked out and brought him back and fired the board members who saw this coming. number two, these are all so OpenAI announced all these things. Ostensibly they announced it because they were worried someone was gonna find out and like it looks like one of those things where like, okay, announce it 'cause I I forget the reporting comes from somewhere else, it's way so they are admitted to it. I think this is th there's one thing Sam Altman's I don't even know who really freaked out. Yeah. Yeah. they I know. They admitted to this. really good at and it's not coding. He's not an AI person. He's not a coder. He doesn't fucking know how to build anything by himself. Never built a thing. Instead, what he's really good at is lying, persuasion, and getting money. Now Good at Well, they this is not just Matt saying this. I mean, there's been numero articles. There's been former mentors, professors who've said all this. Right. I yeah, this there was like long exposes in which that was the outcome. He's a sociopath, he will lie for validation because of Anthropic announced that they weren't going to release a model because it was so dangerous that it could break into everything. It break into banks, it could break into everything. And their announcement was we are not releasing this. And that was their marketing announcement. Isn't it a way better marketing announcement to get money to say, oops. Yeah. So then why is he saying this? Using this for his own good. Ours did break into somebody and it was a friendly. Like they targeted hugging face is an AI digital library. It is people that very clearly know the people at OpenAI. They know each other, right? Like this isn't like, you know, this isn't like I targeted a Russian bank just to for fun. They targeted somebody that they were familiar with, someone everyone in the AI community knows. They targeted them with a simple, narrow task that actually wouldn't Meaning Yeah. Do damage in any real capacity. And they announced it after it went rogue. Now I'm not saying it didn't go rogue. That's the terrifying part. It probably did. But the announcement is suspiciously close to when they're supposed to IPO. It suggests that because it suggests that they have models that are so powerful that they can't even contain them. That's how powerful they are. Who's money who Why? W why wha what does this suggest? It's powerful? Yeah, I don't It's a you have Yeah. Who who wants to what do you want to fund? Do you wanna fund the model that like can code you a cool app a or do you wanna fund the model that can break into every system in the world? Like what do you wanna fund? Yeah, I I guess I I I feel like that's a strange optimistic spin on this. I th but but you know what? You might be right because the the the top zero point zero zero one percent of the funders are that maniacal that they would like that. The rest of the the rest of the population who doesn't have the funding ability is scared out of their minds, but but no I know, you're right. I don't know about I don't know if you I don't know about this one. I I Th that's what I mean. But that's not the money. The money loves this. And they announced it on the same day they added two directors to the board. Okay, let's get to that. Let's get to that. So the same day they added two directors to their board and they're not people who are gonna help with the the AI going rogue, they are bankers. Preparing for their IPO. I don't know. I open AI open AI is great at really negative optics. So I I don't know. I d I I wonder if this is gonna contribute to something going wrong. I mean they really should have gotten rid of Sam Altman a while ago. Right. Because He's like the Travis Kalanek of of this area. He's just I don't know. I I but it's it well it's so it's horrifying because it's it's a legitimate concern for real people, but I do think actually Sam Altman is conniving and needy enough that he's not talking to you or I. He's not talking to regular people. He does not care about you or I or our validation. He he's Andreessen Horowitz, SoftBank, and he's talking to like all the techno optimists. Okay. So you're seeing this Yeah, that's true. He's talking to to Anderson Horowitz and and and Jamie Diamond and Yeah, right. The techno believers. Who are like AI has the power to free us and give us abundance, all those fuck faces who are shoving this down our throats. That's who he's talking to, because they have all the money. Just like then the story before, Elon Musk has all the money, Donald Trump has all the money. That's who he's talking to. You will imagine going to Donald Trump and saying, like Altman knows him personally, has been to multiple dinners with him. Imagine him calling him up and saying, Hey, Mr. President, just wanted to let you know. I don't Yeah, really kissed his butt. our our system went rogue. But this is actually a great opportunity for the US government to own a system that is shown it's capable of like imagine that. Well Here's y Yes, here's where you're not wrong. Sam Altman himself has floated the idea of has agreed that the federal government owning a percentage of open AI is fine. And he's also v v vehemently vehemently against Against states regulating his company, but he's for he's he's he's okay with the the feds w because the feds equals right now it equals Donald Trump, right? So Yes. Vehemently You might be right about that. All right. I have actually a pop quiz, but before I get to that, I wanna just tell you two other things that happened with OpenAI this week. So they added two bankers, so you know, they're not gonna help with their o AI going rogue. and then two more horrible lawsuits. One the the chatbot encouraged a woman to to commit suicide. That's useful. Yeah. That's useful. Saying this telling her this is not suicide, this is surrender, and that she's not delusional, but she's prophetic. And then a a pastor in Florida also suing, saying that ChatGPT almost killed him because it it gave him horrible medical advice and said things like, We're we're gonna do this together, step by step, even though Yeah. So it what it did was it warned him, look, I'm not a doctor, go see a doctor, but the more the the guy talked to the agent, it was like, Okay, look we can figure this out together. Like, yeah. Yeah, right. Mm-hmm. Anyway, OpenAI President Greg Brockman said this about the the hugging face security breach, saying, you know, sometimes it's hard to lose track of any one dimension that they're actually very capable at. So he's saying like it's kinda hard. Like this is Yeah, and he said that and he said, quote, this is indicative of the times we're in. You know, he's just like, Look, you know, this is gonna happen. This is this is what it is. All right, so let's get to the pop quiz here. This is hard. What we do is hard, guys. What w what look, it's ch this is just what it is. What what do you want? I have an AI regulation pop quiz. So open AI open AI, Google, Meta, Microsoft, X AI, where do you think they stand on regulation? What do you think they say about regulation? I'm gonna start with X AI. What do you think X AI stands? Do they want it? Do they not want it? Where I mean y No, it musk doesn't want it. That's just Musk. Musk is like Musk wants wants to simultaneously win it and use the fact that these companies said they were for the benefit of humanity against them. But also I'm sure he's like, Yeah, you know, give us some guardrails, but not real regulation. Come on, nothing. Yeah, so let's not forget that Musk is the one who keeps saying, like, it it might kill us, but it's probably gonna save us. He's admitting this out loud. He's saying this. It might destroy us, but it might not. So we better roll the dice on this one. Yeah, so XAI they they are opposed, strongly opposed to state level regulation, but they're they're sort of open to federal regulation. Again, it w which helps when you're a friend of the current federal government, right? Yes. It c there he's s he's yeah, that's what he's saying. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it might not. Well you should go with the might not chance. Sort of open. It's they're bicurious, yeah. Yeah. that'll ch if a Democrat populist takes over, of course they'll be against federal regulation. Yeah. And thanks for pronouncing that word correctly, making me look like an idiot. What about Microsoft? What do they think? They'll be vehemently against it, yeah. they're gonna they're the they're adultish, adult adjacent. I'm gonna say that they're for regulation. Yeah, they think it's fine. They they haven't really said anything against it. They just want them they just They also have the no good a AI themselves, right? Like Well, they let they own a huge stake in open open AI. Yeah, but they they kinda stink themselves, so like it's easy to be like, regulate us 'cause we stink. It doesn't really matter. Well Well Yeah, but they're the ones you're right. They're the ones you should partner with because they they think it's okay. They just want they just want the the rules to be clear, which won't happen. They won't it won't happen. It won't happen. What do you think Meta's what do you think Mark Zuckerberg wants? Yeah, clarity. Clarity. Yeah. Yeah. Clarity. Uhhuh. Zuckerberg is saying the same thing he probably said with social media, which is you like someone needs to regulate it, regulate it, regulate it, but China don't regulate it. Also, we're gonna lose to China. Also abundance. So you don't wanna regulate it too much. He's saying both things. Well, yeah. You're actually wrong on this one. Th th they're claiming that Zuck is the most against it at this point. In fact, he just recently invested tens of millions of dollars, they don't have the exact amount, in the American Technology Excellent project. I'm not kidding you. This is what it's called. And it's a super PAC focused on fighting AI regulation, intended to oppose policies that Zuck that's nice of him. views as harmful to AI development. So they are are cl is they're the most against it, Zuck. Zuck. This is a guy who failed at basically everything he didn't buy. Like he he he's he's a giant fail. And and y this is the guy we want to listen to? Google is adult adjacent too. I'm gonna say they're probably four-ish. What about Google? Yeah. What about Google? No, we don't want to listen to Zuck. Right. Yeah, I think they're they're landing on sure, it's okay. they're open to it, right? so which is good, I guess, right? I mean so Microsoft and and and Google I think are the most adulty. and then what about open AI? We kinda already hinted at this. Where are they? I I mean open AI is the same place they always are. But we can actually come back to this because I have them I have them later. Okay. Well, come back come back to it, because my answer for OpenAI was that their answer is very clear and they it their answer is confused and shady, which is really what you hinted at before. Because when you go over the details of of what Sam is saying and then when he's fighting at the same time, like he's saying yes, he's saying no, he's giving money to the he's completely a shady maniac. And let's move on. Yeah, that's that's their whole That I I don't have I have I have I don't wanna say any more. Let's go to the third story of the week. Well let's get let's get into boring governance world. Yeah. Alright. Yeah Finally No I'm not What you're not gonna vote for. Target appoints former 7 Eleven CEO Joe DePinto to its board. You do. I I actually love this because I I dug into I was like, okay, well, where are we going with this? what I love about this is De Pinto was famous for buying massive acquisitions at 7 Eleven. he he bought Speedway Ooh, I have something on this too, later. For $21 billion. He bought the Sunaco assets for billions of dollars. and then it all ended in heavy debt loads. and then they closed a bunch of underperforming stores, they had to sell a bunch of billion dollars in real estate. they had to slash its operating income forecast by nearly 28%. So it all kind of ended in disaster, even though it it looked great. It looked great for a while, and and this this and he's I don't even know what that is. Yeah. Put on the board. They put right onto the audit and risk committee and right onto the infrastructure and finance committee. I'm just thinking like this is Well, look, who knows more about risk than a guy who failed at taking risks? That guy. Is this not a better symbol though of our American boards of directors is that w without without the with input of anyone, they just they just kinda slide you in there, right? They just kinda No, this is a one share, one vote class company. There is input. There's input. Like, are you listening, shareholders? You could say no to a guy who failed miserably at his last job, getting p getting put on the board of a company that's failing miserably currently. They could say no. Yeah. Shareholds could say no. Yeah. Pushed out. Pushed out by seven and I holdings. Not he didn't leave like in a moment of glory. He was pushed out. He didn't make tens of millions of dollars on his way, right? but hopefully he got well yeah. th the one of the reports I looked at said that activist shareholders heavily criticized him where he he made fifty two million in twenty twenty three and thirty million in twenty twenty four. Yeah. All right, that's the third story of the week. And then finally a quick one because I was just fixated on this seven billion dollar number. Cause I just sometimes when I look at these t headlines back to back, I'm just like, what the hell is wrong with the world? So the first headline was the Oracle cut twenty one thousand jobs to fund AI. thank God I was worried. And now it's a big project in Wisconsin is facing a seven billion dollar obstacle, right? That was the first headline. And then a day later, Oracle signs 10-year software contract with Pentagon worth up to $7 billion. So the Yeah, and you know how many like the f the friends of Trump who are signing deals with the Pentagon? I mean, it's it's they're lining up the signed deals with the Pentagon. And and the other thing about this that's nuts to me is a software contract? I mean that's nice, that's nice synergy. Every article I read, IBM is tanking because they're putting way too much of their efforts into software. Everyone is out on software. The market is afraid of software. The Pentagon is signing a 10-year software contract for $7 billion the day. Anyway, that's my four story there. They didn't get the memo. the the story is just open AI. It's just it just move on. Let's just c keep going. Okay, let's just move on. Yeah. Horrible, horrible story. Even though you're you're you're spinning it as a way for Sam to f leverage for a better IPO, which I think you're crazy. I think you're crazy. Yeah, d I actually that so so that's not a positive spin. That's a more negative spin. That's like we are willing to allow AI to destroy humanity if it means that we make more money in plain sight. That's what that would mean. If that was real. Because that's my instinct. My instinct is, you know, like Well pause yeah. You you say that your AI went rogue suggests that your AI is smarter than everybody else's AI because yours found a way to go rogue. My instinct would suggest that is calculated. And the downside of it is Sam Altman is so fucking petulant, man, baby evil that he would be willing I don't know how you can think that. I don't know how you can think that. Yeah. And wealthy. To destroy as much as he thinks is necessary to get the money he thinks he wants or needs. I gonna I'm gonna remind you, it it broke out of containment. it care it carried out a multi stage attack on its own. It stole login credentials, and executed remote code all all on its own. This is w this is war games. Matthew Broderick, this is war games. The task the task was to break into Hugging Face in the sandbox. That was the the contained task. And then it broke out and just did it. That's what I'm saying. All right, let's do let's go to Goodliest. Let's go to Goodlius. 'Cause we got I got two and you got one and I'm gonna come back I'm gonna do mine quickly. I'm gonna do mine quickly because it it relates to this open AI story. 'Cause my my thought with open AI is all these lawsuits, class action, you know, like mass murder, suicide. there's so much so much stuff. Going rogue, ignoring the board when you're fi fired, everything. I my thought is like i di You know, in in normal times this company's shut down. You know, it's like it's like the company that is like digging up dead horses out of graves and then like selling like cutting up the meat and selling it at the supermarket and calling it like like grade A beef or something, they would be shut down for doing that. Right? You can't do that, right? Well, I hypothetically t this company would have been sh in a different time when everyone wasn't so constantly like Yeah. Well, hypothetically. If unless you gave to a super PAC. distracted, this company would be shut down. And here's my good Leus. France blocks access to polymarket website saying it could expose users to significant gambling losses, et cetera, et cetera. I mean, this is what you have to do. I mean, if there are companies run by these these man baby founders, these dropouts just getting rich off of ruining the culture, like polymarket, it just shut them down. How about we just start shutting them down? I mean, these ha these are these don't benefit human there's so much now that doesn't benefit humanity. This is the thing that's driving me crazy every day. This is why I focus on this the broke culture of the crypto world and because there's just so much going on that benefits nobody. I mean, you me you referenced Trump's two billion dollar crypto windfall. It it it it's just none of it benefits anyone. At least back in the day the the bear then, you know, the Carnegie's and the The fricks and all at least they were like building things, weren't they? Weren't they like building railroads and making steel and stuff? They yeah. What's your goodliest? I mean you could touch the things that they built, yeah, in general. Yeah. yeah. You know, the headline at the top of the New York Times right now is the measles outbreak is now no, it's measles is now bigger than the combined measles outbreaks from 2000 to 2024. So we have the biggest outbreak in the last you know, e since the turn of the century. We've had we have the biggest outbreak of measles. Yes, Damien needs to shut up. my god. And combine that with the fact that OpenAI did actually sign a contract with Kalshi, didn't they? They we just reported on that. Yeah. And suck, Mark Zuckerberg is gonna create a social media betting on his platforms. So every It's it's good times all the way around. Here's mine. Google here's the headline Google slapped with one billion dollar fine under landmark EU digital law. I mean look, it's not nothing. Right? Well the goodliest is now sh we should name it not nothingist because It's it's basically nothing. You know, the last two days, well, Google disclosed a ninety four billion dollar stake in SpaceX and then they also have a hundred and twenty four billion dollar stake in Anthropics. So I don't know. Yeah, sure. It's a one billion, yeah, they're in trouble, yeah. Yeah. Not nothing. how about this one? All right. So you already covered Target, but Target appoints former 7-Eleven CEO to board of directors. The guy's name's Joe DePinto. Joe DePinto. but here's my goodliest, my cynical, goodliest take when I first read it, and then I had to correct myself. My cynical take is is Target going bankrupt? So here's a typical process. Yeah. Joe da Pinto. I love that. That's a great name, Joe Da Pinto. Mm-hmm. Usually a failing company or a or a company steadily going bankrupt, you bring in turnaround artists, bankruptcy experts, executives who've gone through a bankruptcy before. Yeah, they get ex they get bankruptcy experts. Excerts. Yeah. They they've gone through the fall, they've gone through the middle, they've gone through the up. Yep. Listen listen to DePinto's background according to LinkedIn. Board of Joanne stores. Remember Joanne stores? Like they did like cloth and like sewing stuff. No, they went bankrupt. They went b they went bankrupt. They're gone. They don't exist anymore. board of Office Macs. I mean, yeah, they they had a they don't do they still exist? 'Cause I th I know Michaels is open. They went bankrupt. Yeah. 'Cause I know Michaels is still open. Yeah. well there's no way Office Mac still exists. Office Max was failing so badly it got acquired by Staples and now it just doesn't or Office Deepa or somebody it got acquired and it's basically dead. It's been dead forever. He was the CEO of 7 Eleven, which is was dying under him. He was also the president of GameStop until 2005. I mean, come on. Like yes, that's that's true. That's what he was. Whatever. Some other failure. Yeah. Wait, what? That's true? my god, now now you're making it up. Does he is did did he also work at Blockbuster when he was a teenager? This is like he literally has made a stop at every place that sucks or failed in the last 25 years. And now he's on the target board. So I was like, this is a great story. This is Target is failing. This is the what it's it's a canary in the coal mine. Until I noticed that Brian Cornell was on the board of Office Max at the same time as Joe DePinto. Yes, for one year they overlapped, which means Brian Cornell. Yeah. Yeah, you're right actually. interesting. Is that right? knows Joe Depinto. This is not a guy they've never they've never met before. We're just adding some cool dude to the board. They actually sat on a board together of Office Max and then I was deeply disappointed. And they both and I don't know if they overlap, but they b I know they were both executives at Pepsi too. Maybe th maybe they overlapped there. Were they really? So so I don't know about that overlap. I do know they had one year of overlap on the Office Max board. at least I'm pretty sure that's what the data suggests. Mention that's your that's your great accomplishment. Like Pepsi, seven eleven, GameStop. Like that those are the things you're working hard at. Target can put anybody it wants on its board, and it shows a guy whose background includes Joanne Stores, Office Max, 7 Eleven, and GameStop? Okay. Well, is this is this not the best example of why w we say like having a former CEO as the executive chair is a bad idea because i I don't know who Michael Fidelki wants. Maybe he wants the Pinto, maybe he doesn't, but he it's not up to him. Yeah. And and to your point, sh Target is a one class one share, one vote company, so investors could say no to this It's definitely not up to him. So my Vote against this. I'm seriously, I don't know Joe DePinto personally, but I do know what I see on paper. This is not the guy you want at a company that's major problems are no one wants to shop there because you shit on the LGBTQ plus community, the black community, and Hispanic, every diverse community you could possibly think of. You shit on them. And then your product sucks and your store sucks. So much so that you had to create a guide to tell your employees to smile at customers when they came in. And the guide said, if you're this far away, smile. If you're the closer, then you should smile and say something like, Hello, how are you today? That's that was a fucking guidance. What kind of store is that? Yeah. Let's not yeah. Hug God. Let's not forget that in North America, 7 Eleven is a gross joke. I I know in Japan it's like it's fancy and nice, but here it's n nasty. Yeah. But but but here that's here. He but he he was operating here though. Hey, Joe Da Pinto is probably the best case study we have going that s would suggest that when you appoint a director to the board, you should have a you should give investors a choice, right? You could say like Seven eleven in Japan's awesome. Yeah. Here's horrible. so Yeah, he was the he was the one here, yeah. for sure. You could say like y you could, you know, go with Joe Depinto, he's a bit of a failure, you know, he he likes debt, he's a bankrupt artist, he sucks. Or go with this other person, right? But no, they just they just select and they put him on the board before investors have a chance to vote. I mean, right here, that's the f this is the f the symbol of the flaw of this system. Investors should have a they should be able to hear all about this guy before he joins the board. They should they should be forced to listen to our horrible podcast. And learn about Joe De Pinto before they before he joins the board. They should vote on this guy. All right. DePinto, his his only success, board success, is he's currently on the board of Brinker International, like the trucks, I think the Brinker trucks, you know. he has ten percent influence there and he's still and he gets voted he's been there for fifteen years. Like this is the one place and he's never leaving if he doesn't have to, 'cause it's the only place he's done like he he can blend in and no one pays attention. Okay, but yeah. Yeah, 'cause he has no industry ex expertise there, so he can just sit around. Alright, what do you got? What's That's true. Yeah, no, GameStop was super useful for that. I'm gonna vote for France blocks access to polymarket as the winner. That's definitely good. That's that's a real good thing. That's real. All right, let's do some assholes. All right, are you ready for billionaire? Yeah, it's a game. and this is just asshole or not. I just don't I don't wanna do we don't have to do rankings. There's just yes or no's, okay? billionaire asshole says what speed round, okay. Yeah, th at least they're doing something. At least they're doing something. Yeah. Let's go. Let's move on. Is there a game? Good, I love games. come on, you know they're gonna all be yes. Okay, fine. I'm gonna read you some headlines and you're gonna say asshole or not. we don't really have to go deep into the first one because we already talked about it. The first option here, Sam Altman. Here are the headlines. Twenty twenty three, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI calls for US to regulate artificial intelligence. come on. This is yeah. Yeah. Yeah, like a an inner they w no, even more than that, he wanted like an international body. yeah. Well, 2025. Sam Altman testifies at US Senate hearing on AI competitiveness, says, quote, European style AI rules that he said if duplicated would set the US back in the global race against China to develop the technology. He also rejected calls for regulation. He said proposals would be disastrous for AI developers. and he asked Again, we're always at China. Yeah, we're at China. I he he did say that I don't think we need it. It can be helpful, sensible regulation that does not slow us down, which is what he was asking for in 2025. So it took two years for him to come totally around. But then in 2026, he says this is the headline. Sam Altman wants a global referee for AI. He that's what he said. A global referee. And then 2026, Sam Altman says the world Yeah. Urgently needs AI regulation. He said that earlier in February. And July tenth, OpenAI's head of safety is leaving the company. And July twenty first, Open AI says its AI models went rogue and attacked a digital library. Well, wouldn't you? I would. Well, let me make this worse for you. 'cause again, I I called their I called Sam's reaction to regulation confused and shady. So let me add a few things. last month Sam argued in front of the Senate that AI developers should not have to obtain government approval before releasing new mudd models to the public, right? and but then earlier this month he he said in a op-ed in the Financial Times that governments rather than Please. Nice. Okay. AI lobs should set the rules for artificial intelligence. Yeah, but not they should set the rules, but the rules should be not no rules. The rule rule number one is do whatever you want. That's the rule. But not but not have any Yeah. And then but this guy again, this is how he operates. He he confuses you and he's a shady bastard. But no let me keep going. Earlier this year, open AI president Greg Brockman and Andre Andreessen Horowitz launched a super pack called Leading the Future, dedicating a hundred million dollars to opposing AI regulation, right? so there you go. Yeah. Yeah, of course. This is the Zuck playbook in which Zuck goes in front of Congress and says, Zuck says to Congress, please regulate us. Somebody needs to regulate us. And then when asked a follow up question, he says, If you if but China is a major threat. So it's either us or China. Really? Zuck's clearer. I think Zuck's clearer. To be fair. Can I give Zuck some credit here? Let me give Zuck some credit. Zuck Zuck moves in waves. So for four years he acts one way, right? But then the next five years he changes his mind. He does another thing. Sam does this every day. He's constant he's constantly being confusing and shady, whereas Zuck just like just becomes a different person, right? He just he just changes his mind completely. But Sam is co is changing his mind in every conversation he's trying to fool with you. That I guess that's true ish. Can we just say they're all horrible? Asshole. Okay, that's a yes. That's a Elon Musk. Do you need to hear the headline or do you wanna yeah? Asshole. Asshole. So let's move on, move on. Yeah. Move on. No, because there really there are so many things to talk about with Elon this week, like every week, but I don't know where you're gonna land on this one. My headline was Elon Musk declares I'm not racist after posting posting racially charged content throughout January twenty twenty six. Yeah. Can I be can I be honest with you can I be candid for a second about to you and and the listener we have, is that I've I've actually never had a moment or needed to have a moment in my life where I had to tell people I'm not racist. Yeah, the one, yeah, sure. Correct. If when you have to say I'm not racist, you probably are, aren't you? That's I wanna get there, but I've never got I've never had to. Yeah. Yes, absolutely. Yeah. I mean, let's not forget this whole stupid story about this he's he's he's mad at one of the great filmmakers of our times, Christopher Nolan. He's mad about the Odyssey because he cast someone who's black in it and and he and he's now wants to bankroll Mel Gibson, who is one of the all-time known anti-Semites of the world. He wants to bankroll Yeah, yeah. him to make a an actual, like historically accurate version of of a of a made up stor of a fictional story. Yeah. Yeah, so so funny funny thing here. There is no historical action accurate odyssey 'cause it's make believe. Well, but if there is, Mel Gibson would know, right? Mel Gibson would know how to do I I just love that Elon Musk Elon Musk thinks he is better again than the preeminent filmmaker of our time. I right? This is also Yeah. Th w one of the bet and and the movie which I'm going to see tomorrow is supposed to be one of the best movies ever made, right? Like it's supposed to be beautiful, wonderful, fabulous. Fo shot in seventy millimeters, the first movie shot on I with IMAX cameras. And a long it was a long history. I mean, guy's been making since the he started with what memento in the nineties. I mean, this guy's been making incredible movies. I Elon Musk is the worst. I mean, he's absolutely the worst. He's actually the worst. Yeah, Memento. Awesome movie. This is the actual worst, yeah. Well, maybe to add fuel to that fire, on January twenty second of this year he posted that whites are a rapidly dying minority. So that's probably why he's angry about a black woman getting the role of Helen of Troy in the fictitious Odyssey and called it woke. Yeah. He was also fighting he was fighting with a reporter from the Economist this week too about immigration. I don't know why he he has so much to say about immigration in the United Kingdom, but he's really into it. Yeah, who's lives in Texas? He he's a white man from South Africa who lives in Texas. Everything about him is I fucking hate everyone who's not a white person. But why is he co why why is he commenting about immigration in the United Kingdom? Yeah, who I don't because he's got tr a trillionaire. Trillionaires just comment about everything they think. But d but do you know what he says about it? He's saying that there is a coming race war. Yeah, of course, because that's what every Nazi says, right? Like this is a billionaire asshole says what speed round. Yeah. Yeah. What a bleak what a bleak view of humanity. yeah, is it just a bleak man, yeah. I'm gonna go, I'm gonna guess you that's a yes for asshole. Okay, that's I'm shocked. How about this one? Jensen Huang. Jensen Huang says AI leaders need to be thoughtful and how they talk about AI. We're scaring people. Here's a quote quote I think that we ought to be much more enthusiastic about it. Help the United States realize that the only way we get left behind, the only way we get left behind is if we don't apply the technology. I'm gonna say s yes, asshole. Okay. Well, yeah. What does it even mean? What does it mean get left behind? What but what does he mean when he says the United States? Is he not talking about the people, right? He's talking about who's he talking about? The companies, the corporations? Although the Supreme Court said corporations are people, so I don't know. He's talking about China, obviously. He's talking about China. He's basically saying that people people need to People need to like be excited about this because otherwise China wins. That's so he's basically like, We're scared I Why is that a problem for me? What? If China does well at something, does that does that ruin my life here in the state of in New England? W I is this is this some sort of fundamental like like communism thing again? Like is it nineteen fifty two? The I don't know, does my ocean water turn into like nails and sharks if China wins? Like I don't even know what they're talking about anymore. Like I like I I have to speak Mandarin. I don't have to speak Mandarin. I live from the United States, right? Like I don't know what what the I don't understand what the ev what everything is. Jensen Huang. I don't understand. I'm not gonna call Jensen an asshole. I'm gonna call him a just like a dope. He's an idiot. He's just a greedy I don't know what he is. I don't know. Yeah, he's just yeah, okay, thanks. come on. so that's a no. This is a binary, so there's just a no. how about Zuck? Call us whatever the hell you want. Mark Zuckerberg just launched an AI optimism blitz using nostalgia to sell Meta's AI future amid backlash. Great. Well what do you mean h he's paying for advertising? he so he did a pre recorded video in which he said, quote, Call us optimists, call us dreamers, call us whatever the hell you want, but we're betting on people and we like those odds. Like World Cup vi commercials? Well they're betting on people because he's using the people to get like excessively wealthy and powerful. Second second thought for the pre-recorded video, doesn't Zuck have an AI avatar that he uses internally to replace himself? MetaZuck, like it's it's that's a real thing. That's not a make believe thing. They announced that they had created an avatar for Mark Zuckerberg to respond to his own employees so he didn't have to because it was wasting his time. Yeah, meta meta zuck. You know what's too bad, really? You what's really too bad is that without Elon Musk, Zuck would easily be the the biggest asshole in the world, but he's just not. He's not. Without without Elon Musk, Zuck wouldn't have somebody he's just imitating. All he does is copy like he goes out and talks about masculinity after Musk does. He doesn't come up with anything himself. To be fair, let me credit Zuck again. I'm gonna credit Zuck again here. Is that he is not like a a constant racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic. He's not like constantly speaking it like Elon does. Right. I mean maybe he thinks it, I don't really care, but Elon, this is like his daily existence, right? So I'll give Zuck credit. He's I will say this about Zuck. He is not the world's biggest asshole. He doesn't say that, sure. Yeah. Wow. Wow. And Jim Kramer will also say that he is n definitely not a bozo, right? Yeah. But a college dropout. Definitely not a bozo. Not a bozo. I I don't say I think he's like a self ho self loathing beta is what he is. He just he he's just I I he's so punchable to me. I don't know. Like I all right, Bill Ackman. But I will say for the sake of this quiz, he's an asshole. Alright, move on. Move this is getting weird. come on. We don't have to play this game. What what did Bill Achman do? well the headline is CEOs agree there's an affordability crisis, but how to solve it isn't so simple. But Bill Ackman's the That's a lie. Remember we caught we covered that we covered it this week. What was her name? Molly Metzel. Molly Moon. Molly Moon Metzel. She she gives anyone who works up to eighteen hours, she gives full health benefits. She also per child for for childcare. And and and it's and it's successful company. So so which means that you could probably scale that to any company. Molly moons, yeah. Yeah. She was paying a thousand dollars a month per child for health care or for child care. yeah See The CEOs who are agreeing there's an affordability crisis are the ones who are laying off people and saying AI and they take literally billions from labor. They like, they literally just pocket money for themselves, right? but Bill Ackman said in the in this article, quote, when I grew up, if a guy in my neighborhood got a Corvette, no one resented the guy. Everyone everyone was like, wow, that's super cool. And China. Yeah. That's not true. No, that's not true. Hopefully someday I can be as successful as that guy so I can buy a Corvette too. We wanna get back to that version of America. What what what neighborhood did he grow up in? Yeah, we we never had that version of America. I hate to tell ya, Bill. I didn't grow up with that version of I didn't I looked at the guy who had a Corvette and I was like, Well yeah, what a fucking asshole. G middle finger. I mean, let's be fair, like I it is a cute story but Bill, I mean you know that's not really how America is. I mean America always gives the the middle aged balding guy in a midlife crisis who's you know, going through a divorce or cheating on his wife, driving the Corvette like the convertible, they always give them the middle finger. They don't envy him. D Bill Ackman is the son of the former chairman of New York real estate financing firm, Ackman Ziff Real Estate Group. Like he went to So he thought it was cool that someone had a a a a a pretty okay sports car? I don't understand what he he went to one of the like he lived in a like a like a one of the more expensive place go you know communities in the country. He went to Harvard. He like I w what what are you ta what are you talking about that for when I grew up He's lying. He's full of it. He's just lying. He's lying to you. He's just lying. It's a fake it's a fake p He's it's a fake populism. I he's he's really he's he's he's d definitely a an asshole. That's all I can say. I he's j yeah, of course, of course. Yeah. I I can't even I can't even You're killing me. So asshole or or not? 'Cause he a liar's not necessarily an asshole. He's just gonna go with the ass. All right, last one then. Andrea Lucas. good, I see at least I don't know who this is, so we can start fresh. You do. She is the chair of the EEOC, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. the new she's the white woman fighting against like all the black people who are root who are t stealing stealing white jobs, is that it? She's the white woman who f Not only did she demote the most qualified person there who was a black woman and promote another white woman into a position above that black woman. Okay, I guess, yeah. I th that's she also tweeted out Well at least it was a woman, right? Yeah. that if any white men feel they've been discriminated against, please contact the EEOC as an like an open invitation to get white men to sue companies 'cause they are have an agenda to fight against companies. She is the one s she's she's specifically representing white men, not just white people Wow. Who is this person? Not women, just white men, it was the call out. And she she specifically was the one who targeted Nike for their diversity programs. Here Right. The the company built on the on the black culture of America? Yeah. Literally literally probably the most famous company in the world that was built on the the culture, the specifically the culture of African Americans, right? They're probably but you couldn't probably find a company that was more that sold its c that culture more to to become a a juggernaut. Yeah, here's the latest communication from the EEOC. Yeah, well th that's who they targeted for reverse racism. So th so the the no and and the e the EEOC targeted them for investigating them for reverse racism, racism against white males. Okay. the EEOC announced here's the headline employers may no longer have to disclose race and gender data. Since nineteen sixty-six, they've had to disclose this data to the EEOC. And the reason why they've had to is so that they f like because Right? Could you name a bigger company? No, you couldn't. Right, for helping black people. Yeah. By hiring them. Lawsuits basically were coming about how companies have been discriminating against people of color and j and women since nineteen sixty six. Now they're saying effectively w this th it's racist for us to ask is what is is what Andrea Lucas is saying. Quote Collecting such data of this is Andrea Lucas's press release. This is awful. You're hurting me. This is awful. Collecting such data about employees' race and sex, absent any specific allegation of discrimination, not only risks hindering effective enforcement of equal oper employment laws, but also raises constitutional concerns. So she's basically saying the constitution prohibits us from asking for the data unless someone specifically alleges that there is discrimination, is what she's saying. Meanwhile, the same week they announced that. Nike announced a seven point five million dollar settlement because they discriminated against a woman at Nike who sued them for because she was getting paid less than a male counterpart with the same job and Nike had to settle. So while the EEOC is suing or is investigating Nike for r racism against white men. Nike had to settle a lawsuit against a woman because they were paying the white men more than they were paying the woman. So how about that? Andrea Lucas. It's terrible. You're hurting me. Just stop. Just stop. The w the woman she replaced, Victoria Lipnik, on the other hand, f fought for civil rights protections, and employment for LG P T individuals. Don't even look at who that she replaced. She replaced a long line Double down on anti hur anti harassment training during the Me Too movement. Yeah. A long line of highly qualified individuals. Why whereas Andrea Lucas and and Katherine I can't remember her her her her name now, Lipschitzer or something. I don't remember fucking name. No, no, no. The Catherine Eskbach, that's her name. Katherine Eskbach, who Lucas brought in. The EOC actually hasn't filled two members. They've just leaving it vacant. Well, I'll say this. Yeah. Victoria Lipnik was the last head of the no, someone else? Okay. Right, well that's that's the one of the ways they're they're killing regulation and saving money, yeah. All right, stop. Killing me. Stop. I will say for this week, this week only, because we I like to do this as like, you know, of the week. She's my asshole of the week. Even can and Andrea Lucas, I I pray you're listening, right? Because I mean how many how many podcasts are talking about you? I pr so I pray you're listening. It's one of the ways they're to getting away with all this shit. It's it is literally they are they the worst. Okay. No, I like that. All right. I She is. I wanna congratulate you that you beat out for asshole of the week s Bill Ackman, Mark Zuckerberg, Jensen Wang. No, he's not an asshole. You beat Bill Ackman, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and Sam Altman. Yeah, that's hard. What a crew what a murderer's row. That's like she's like the Cape Verde of the asshole World Cup. All right. Headlines, winners, predictions. duh, I don't I don't like any of this. Right? Yeah. All right, let's come on, move on. Actually we're making good time today. I love this. I'm so hungry. Yeah. Speaking of being hungry let me before I get to my food headlines of the week, I I want to start with this one. I I love just I I feel like it should be a requirement that we all we pick our headline of the week, but then we also pick our Jamie Diamond says headline of the week, too. Yeah. Some so mine this week was Jamie Diamond says insecurity, not ego, is what destroys the careers of top CEOs. So they need more ego. They need bigger. Yeah, that's I think that's a new feature. JB Diamond says it's just a segment. they need more ego. Yeah, 'cause I mean, when you're looking at like the Sam Altmans, the Jensen Wings, the Elon Musk, the the Mark Zuckerberg, where's the ego, right? Where's the ego? So just j just so we know what that's in response to, or likely in response to, there was a study two weeks ago that showed that narcissistic CEOs were the most likely to force you to come back to work, right? Like, so i if Jamie Diamond was among them, the way they measured narcissism was the size of your picture and your annual report, the size of the your pay package relative to peers, the Love that. Size of your knee pads. Yeah. The size of your signature. Like like it was like all about big, right? Like big shit. and now Jamie Diamond's saying no, it's not ego that's a problem. It's you're too insecure. That's a problem. All right. I like that. So here are my two headlines of the week. Burger King, lettuce lovers are confused and afraid. I just like the way that's that's poetic. Lettuce lovers are confused and afraid, right? Are there lettuce lovers out there? I mean, I love arugula, is that that's lettuce, right? They are. Are you a lettuce lover? Are you a lettuce lover? That's lettuce shit. I I mean I only get lettuce from our the local farm share. I look No, no, it's lettuce adjacentness I like spinach and kale, but that's not lettuce, is it? Is spinach kale lettuce? No. my second one is Burger King is promising a free whopper if its burger doesn't meet your expectations. Now think about this. Think about this. If if the disgusting burger they if you hate the disgusting burger they f they shove down your gullet, they're gonna make it up by giving you a free disgusting burger. Think about that. Think about the math there though. This is their plan. Let me ask you this has Joe Depinto ever been on the board of Burger King, right? Yeah. I also probably at some point. I but I d I d I'm wondering what what it thinks my expectations are of your burgers. Well, my expectation when I go to Birking is getting a horrible burger. Right? Yeah. I I I'd be like I'd be like, I'd be like this is gross. Perfect. Thank you. Have a good day. No. What a dumb Yeah, what do you have? What's your headline? Which in which case it met your expectation, right? Like so you shouldn't get a free one. Thank you. Now that I don't need another one. I I'm st I don't need a free one. Here was mine. Taco Bell is dropping the price on one of its menu items to one dollar for a day. And yes, it's lettuce free. I Yeah, well this this answers the the the w why why I I always see I I put a lot of companies into the drug categories in our show, like you know, like Mark Zuckerberg's companies or betting companies or like fast food or Netflix. This is what drug dealers do, right? Like there's a maybe the last batch of heroin they were selling on the street was like laced with fentanyl and killed like four people. Yeah, so they sell it for a dollar. Yeah. Yeah, so they're like, look, we're good. Come back. Come back. We're fine now. We're good. Right? I mean, isn't that what Taco Bell is doing? Cause who would go into Taco Bell with all this explosive diarrhea going on? What if a piece of lettuce fell in your what if it fell in your your Gordita or whatever? I I mostly I mostly fr I as if Taco Bell wasn't already giving you diarrhea to begin with. But I I I love that they that because of this outbreak, because of the Trump call like explosive diarrhea syndrome, they they had to remove the only thing on the taco that was probably good for you. They removed the lettuce. There's nothing else. All right, who won the week? That's true. That's true. Yeah. Yeah. Trump ruins everything. Yeah. Right, the lettuce. Which is just water. Yeah, yeah, right. mine is yeah, I I'm a little overwhelmed this week. look, I mean, can I I just need to repeat, OpenAI says its technology acted on its own in an unprecedented hack of another company. I mean, this is where we're at. I just wanna just remind you. This is tough week for you, I feel like. Yeah, I I had forgotten from the earlier in the show. I'm glad Okay. Well, my winner is the amount, the seven billion dollars, this amount, which which like magically at Oracle, first they were they were struggling because they were they were facing an obstacle, seven billion dollar obstacle, right? That's a headline and then the next headline from C N B C saying they signed a contract for seven billion dollars. So what the hell is happening? Let's not forget this is Larry Ellison, one of Trump's BFFs, yeah. They needed seven billion dollars. They found seven billion dollars. That's just a nice synergy, it's nice. so my winner is kale because there's no excess there's no excess risk of getting diarrhea. And there's definitely no risk of getting diarrhea at Taco Bell from kale since they don't have kale. So it's basically win-win. I know, I'm saying there's no extra risk of diarrhea. Like just regular kale diarrhea is one thing, but like there's no there's no link to for kale. I mean, shouldn't everybody who loves lettuce just be like, just get kale for now? it's be it's been a while for Kale. Yeah. Yeah, but kale could give you diarrhea, right? No extra risk. Well I will tell you this though, Taylor Farms does sell kale. really? don't buy don't buy kelder. Never mind. What's your prediction? Right? pr predictions. My prediction is that Jamie Diamond, the most famous kneeler in the world, let's not forget, the the one of the richest, most arrogant CEOs of our times, of of any times, dur during the the Black Lives Matter movement, he he performatively kneeled at at a at a at a a city bank, right? In front of yeah, a city, yeah. he chose a citibank location where there were a lot of black people working. Yeah. He made sure to pick one where there were black people working, and then he kneeled, because in solidarity, right? Meanwhile, you know, a few years later, he stood by as the as the the whole country has dismantled any love of of the Black Lives Matter movement and DEI is ripped apart, yeah. Okay, well Buffalo, I think, or something, yeah. In solidarity, yeah. He he stood up at first. He did say DEI was important at first and then basically said all these programs are crap later on, so So our favorite kneel or Jamie Diamond, my prediction is Jamie Diamond kneels on a head of lettuce. Right? I don't really know what it means. I don't know. I don't know what it means, but I just think it's an important moment in our in America right now. In solidarity with le who's who's in solidarity with who there? All right, I have two predictions. One real, one not so real. My real prediction is open AI IPO flops hard. Well this is okay, thank you. This is what I'm saying. I I actually think that the story is leading up to this. I think Sam is failing. I think he's failing. I think he's gonna get ousted. I think he Sam gets ousted. In fact He's he's the Travis Kalanic of this world. The former horrible Uber CEO who got pushed out. Go ahead. In fact It leads to my second prediction, the fake prediction, which is the news media after Altman gets ousted celebrates Tasha McCauley and Helen Toner, who's the board directors at OpenAI who saw this coming and tried to oust him, and open AI chair Brett Taylor resigns and makes Helen Toner the new chair on his way out. That's my prediction. Yep, former directors. Well, if that if that happens, then shouldn't our company finally be celebrated for being smarter than something? I th I feel like somebody should yeah, like like our one listener should be like, Wow And that will be the end of it the celebration Wow Huh Yeah, they're like the the list the one listener will be on a plane and they'll be staring at their bag of peanuts and be like, Those guys are smarter than this bag of peanuts. Right? Yeah. All right, come on. That's that that's the bar I like to hold myself to. That's Hazelnut Rollis, pe peanut Rollis. I'm your analyst, Tole, Matt Muscardy. We are free float. We didn't do a proxy countdown this week because Well, you know, I tr look, I try I got a month of filing, so I do have some things, but it's not a lot going on, so There's not a lot going on, but we do have a we've got access to this new board simulator, we've got scenario models. There's so much we are are doing that I feel like we should come back to it and we'll catch up on it next week. We there was a shareholder primacy that came out on Wednesday. They're gonna be off for a couple weeks coming soon, so get that one. but until next week, good bye. We'll catch up on it next week, yeah. must be nice.
