It's not hard. It's Friday. I am barely alive. Wow, barely but we are live. We are live. This is Ari the data. Queen joined by analysts whole map, Mascari in hazelnut Rollins. On today's weekly wrap up, we got Boeing Sky, new boss, right? That was announced. That was a thing. Assassination is bad for business. Is back back and more stuff. Excited for Today. Show you guys are you sure is brought to you by fearful analytics, everything you ever wanted to know about who runs public companies. All free. If you want to know who to blame for that plane part falling out of the sky, which plane part. I don't know all the blame Birds. Well, the one that landed on your mother's card in, don't guess. Look it up at free full analytics.com actually, we should Get more ad copy for already, just read. The first time, yeah. It all you can just live. Read it like randomly, not knowing what's coming, by the way. It feels like the best way our sponsor does stipulate that the copy should be read after the theme. So we already You know, breach of our contract. Oops, we already screwed up. So you have to get back to the 10 cents, they give us every week to read that. Actually is an overestimate. You know what we have today and we're gonna get started with story. Well, I like it right into it. No hellos, no goodbyes. Look, Ari's hungry, and she's tired. She's gonna be eating the goldfish that my kid left in the office right now. We don't have our six weeks, we don't have our summer intern Chantal anyway, so this show should be less than four hours, right? All right, let's go. I have five quick stories. I actually don't have a lot of stuff to say this week Boeing names. Robert Kelly. Ortberg as new CEO. So his nickname is Kelly. His middle name is Kelly. Okay, everyone calls him Kelly ortberg, I how long I haven't done a deep dive on him yet and I'm not sure that I care enough anymore because it's basically just. Yeah. I mean, it's ridiculous. I do like that the headlines that Kelly ortberg, and it made it seem like a glass. Cliff CEO. Yeah. Because of the name Kelly. Well, what about the Robert was I missed the robber and the headline it was just Kelly and then and then I would want immediately wondered how quickly I could connect him to all the existing Boeing board members and I'm sure it's going to shows, I'm sure. But otherwise, do we care about this. This is how much I care Elliot. This is the next headline. Elliot management offers Starbucks settlement to allow CEO to keep top job. So Elliott management is taking a significant stake in Starbucks. They have proposed board expansion and governance Improvement at Starbucks and settlement that would let CEO laxman nearest semen. Keep his job. What is boarding? I don't know. Governance Improvement is what expansion is kind of like the Supreme Court expansion, right? It's kind of the same thing. Maybe they're getting ideas from the left. Spanish expanding. Yeah, maybe they are. The expansion is the governance Improvement. Next story. Oh, I like this one. Melinda French Gates says billionaires Ackman. Musk teal don't count as philanthropists. So she had an interview. with the New York Times, she specifically commented on the charitable giving of billionaires like hedge fund manager, Bill Ackman block CEO, Jack Dorsey, PayPal, co-founder, Peter, Thiel, Tesla, CEO, Elon Musk, the tech Bros Tech Bros. She said, quote, they used their voice and they used their megaphones but I would not call those men philanthropists. Go look at their record of actually giving money to society. It's not big. I love this. Wow. And then she dropped the mic and walked out of the interview part of. The reason why this conversation is started was that while yes, Warren Buffett has given a lot of money to the Melinda Gates and Bill Gates Foundation. Over the years, he has actually stipulated in his will that he's going to give the money to his children, but there, but there there's no directive that the children actually keep giving the children are allowed to do what they want with the money. The Assumption being that they will continue the giving but he's actually not directing them to do that. So we don't really even know. Here this philanthropy count. If you give all the money to your family trust, that's like a like a non-profit Foundation anything. And then that Foundation hires all your children for like 10 million dollars a year, I think it is that is that count? When you peek through the windows at night and they're lighting their cigars with 10,000 dollar bills. That's yeah, that's when it doesn't count. All right. Fourth, big story. I don't know if it's a big one but I pulled it anyway. Meta platform reaches one. Oh, I should say Mark Zuckerberg Mark Zuckerberg reaches one point. Four billion dollar settlement with Texas over privacy lawsuit filed in 2022. The Texas lawsuit alleged that meta was in violation of a state law that prohibits capturing or selling a residents biometric information such as their face or fingerprint without their consent. So wow, This is an interesting Texas food. Well can all states suing liberals. They're assuming the Silicon Valley that's probably their. Probably excited really. Are we calling what Texas thinks that anyone from California is basically he's One and a half billion dollars, that's a lot. Yeah, it's a lot. And finally seem like a lot. Well, it's not a lot, considering his personal wealth and the wealth of the company. I mean, wasn't the Purdue settlement for basically decimating Society, Still Still seven or eight billion, wasn't it? Like 8 billion dollars like so this is like one seventh of the Purdue settlement and it's just because they took your the picture of your face. Those database wasn't their father was just painkillers. Oh okay, yeah I actually did the math and multiply that by 50. I thought if everyone's if every state sued then that is a considerable amount. Finally, the 5th, the 5th story of the week back to this is an old refrain, the headline is for hottest days ever. Observed raised fears of a planet nearing tipping points but they say, this always we're nearing tipping points. It has been hot. It has been hot, does feel hotter Tipping Point to your thing? It has before hottest days ever doesn't ever sound great to me. That's in a really in a road too. Right? I think I have a winner and America's all about winning and this is a winning streak. Yes, Simone biles and hot days. That's all we have. All right? The four. Stories, there are Boeing's new president and CEO. Did not say whether he's gonna be board. Chair just said, president and CEO. Well, they've had a moment conference currently board chair. Right. But they better history of separating the role. Have they not? I'm trying to remember before Calhoun. Calhoun is poor chair. I believe, you know, bird was stripped board chair. Because of the max 8 planes that was, that was when they separated his first punishment was getting into chair and CEO save it. Elliot's Starbucks settlement, Melinda Gates says Tech Bros, not actually philanthropist and metis lawsuit of 1.4 billion and four hottest days ever. There's a lot of stories. I think the hard one. Well man. For me it's between Boeing and Starbucks. Wait. Wow. Cracker before you decide really Starbucks. I'm surprised you're picking that. Yeah, that's, that's not bored. Expansion Starbucks. I wonder what they want. Well, do they want the new people to just be better at being anti-union? probably Starbucks actually is part of my predictions this week, so Oh well, I'm gonna go. It's done. All right, why not definitely the wrong answer. I have a feeling of immigration, a tie. I can sense that. Yeah, you definitely breaking. It is not. So there you go. The big story. This week is hope not right. Boeing's new CEO, I think look, oh yes for our company. Yes of course. Know this Boeing for GDP between itself and it's a players represents something like 0.7% of all GDP in this country. It's a massive massive drag on on our country. In terms of economic output, it is now in its what sixth year of shit falling out of the sky. And like I just finding like screwdrivers that they just put inside the walls of planes as a side note, can I just say that? So I potentially taking my first airplane vacation, The next few weeks I have I haven't been anywhere since 2022. And I kind of promised myself in 2022 that I wasn't gonna fly again because I hate it but I might be going away. But what I was discovering while looking for flights was that I have to pay a premium picking Airbus flights. I just seem to be more expensive but I'm still gonna do it. I'm actually paying extra I also yeah. On a side note as a tall person, I have to pay extra to pick my seat. Now I don't like that at all. Yeah and to sit in seats that have actual legroom terrible, that have no legs. What made me laugh? Was that while I'm avoiding Boeing specifically in my tickets, the Trump campaign announced that JD Vance's new plane is a is like a 20 year old Boeing and Trump's playing all the boat. I just made me laugh at they're going with bowing. And I'm going with their, they have to because it's the only American made plain. They have to go with the American made one for, that's why he won. But yeah, that's really the winner. Sorry. Ari. But yeah, well we're a company based on people and we talk about Boeing way too much. We got out, we got to go with Kelly for this one so let's move on Starliner. Sorry, yeah, that's it. That's go on to Introduce yourself. Goodluck to have the Wii. I can't wait to see what you guys have to say about my headlines this week. now, with Amazon CFO blames the Olympics and Trump assassination for slowing sales. What saying customers? Only have so much attention waiting for the good news. All right, go ahead. Go ahead. This is so funny. Go ahead yesterday, I believe the Thursday, they're referring to yesterday on Thursday. It was done stock prices fell, by more than 7% after the CFO, Brian Olson, ski announced that the revenue Miss for the third quarter. What are cheering here this year was because the people are just too distracted to shop. Well, I that's where I was just, I think I'll see if I was holding back here. They're not, they were too distracted to shop. They were depressed. Every American the least in my circle's was really really depressed for many weeks and months really but now everyone's perked up. So maybe they're shopping again, I don't know. But yeah, I already go ahead. so, what he said was that, It's going to be hard to predict whether or not people are gonna buy the stuff that they would have bought like in the past, if they're gonna buy it this next quarter or if they're just gonna forget about it. And if they just forget about it, it is people buying crap because they're bored, and that's it. And wow, but and this is assassination. Kept them from buying know. It could be from being bored. Know, this. That's where I think he's long. It didn't keep they're not bored again. This session is very depressed. They're depressed because everyone thought that because Biden was running, the assassination was gonna help Trump. The polls were going his Direction the Olympics excuses, stupid since when is watching TV fold with ads making people not want to shop. I mean I've been watching Olympics every night. There's there's a ton of ads. Why is that stopping me from shopping? I mean I don't understand that part of it. I actually I think it's point is actually that people are doing like paying attention something else and you can't shop while watching TV people. Don't people do that religiously. If you're depressed and watch, I was TV with a iPad on your lap. I wish like you just like and you've got like, four dollars of extra income, nobody's like putting it in their, you know, Ira. They're spending it on fucking Rubber Chickens on Amazon. I think he's just saying like they're actually engaged in other things. Like, I think it was conversations going out watching something. I keep some keeps their attention and stead of nothing but I think Americans were worried about the chaos of trump winning again. I think they were depressed. So that's just, I think how the fourth quarter goes, I don't know. I think he's basically saying Kamala Harris ruined their sales but they missed the mark by. Oh, she's gonna help. I think it was the previous quarter, all right, we'll see we'll see. All right. Number two, I think you're really sorry, and no sense of the of the word is that story good? Where is the good story? People didn't buy crap. That's good. I am what whatever I'm with it people. Buying less papers, good fine. Listen to this one. Fake caller app. I know you get these sake calls, fake caller app shut after thieves. Duped thousands, forget about the second part a company or a platform called Russian comms allowed criminals to pretend to be colors from a bank or telecoms firm. In order to steal money personally details from thousands of people around the world, thousands, they have thousands they've been shut down by the UK's National Crime agency and this agency said that between 2021 and 2024 over 1.3 million calls were made to to half a million unique UK phone numbers. That's a lot. That's a lot, right? Like not that long period of time about 170,000 people in the UK are believed to be victims with the average reported laws of more than 400 that's pounds. That's 10,000 dollars. We're stupid people. I love getting those calls, but you answer those calls, I don't know. My dad who is who's a smart man, but got a call from somebody saying they were from Microsoft. And oh, where vulnerability? You know those calls, right? He picked up the phone and he was like, my son, is he? I happened to be there. It landline. Okay and handed me the phone. He's like my son deals with all the computer stuff and I strung the guy along for like an hour just for fun. I was like and then I ended other people. I I ended the call by saying, like should I wire the funds to your personal account or or to, you know, like, do you have a mom or a relative? You want me to send it to and then they hung up on me? Well, it was the greatest waste of their time, my Microsoft is down today. It's it's stock price. So, maybe because of you that, it's because of me this security vulnerability. So this is great. Bad guys, got call, I don't feel good story. Just makes me feel like people were really dumb like there being duped too, easily. I don't know. All right. Well this one is really hey people. People people in the UK, your bank's not calling you, okay? So just stop, that's true. They don't call my mom always got duped. Well, no, she did the people got into herself and she got an email, definitely a phishing email from Apple, but she was like, I'm too smart. I'm not gonna click this link. Yeah, I'm gonna Google Apple customer service phone number and call applesauce. She did she called the first hit on Google and that was the first, it was really damn devoting this game. Wow I like that one. See that's a scam. I appreciate it's like a chess game that one. All right but last yeah give me something good. These are four come alive. Wait this was my prediction. This is my prediction last year for Kamala. There's another group I predicted that there's gonna be support for comma from from CEO. So that's right. Yeah. Well on Wednesday Leslie. Finds a big, the founder and CEO. she launched a VCS for Kamala as a response to the outside VC voices, like Elon Musk, David sacks and Mark our favorite They were all very loudly endorsing, Donald Trump and throwing a ton of money behind him. It started out as a tweet. Don't yell at her. But it gained momentum and over 600 Venture capitalists are. Now that a lot I don't even know how many Venture capitalists are there supporting candidates. That seems like a lot. Well like Executives and VCS being like we're doing this as supposed to just you know like five billionaires being like I mean yeah Trump I like anyone supporting combo but I don't even really feel good about this story are. I'm wow. I mean, you could have like, there's so much going on the Olympics Simone biles had this great tweet this morning about how she's saying, she loves her black job. The guy from Worcester. Yeah, we're doing. Yeah, that's true. How does that affect what we're doing? Nobody knows about the Olympics for 25 minutes saying that people aren't buying mops, because the Olympics are on. I don't know, they're not living in filth because the Olympics are on well, read Hoffman, what are your favorites? Co-founder of LinkedIn or founder? So, not one of my faves LinkedIn. Irritates me because it's probably the best social media site because it's all right. I know that I am officially cute. I don't do this very often, I don't know if I've ever done this. I am officially I am pledging my I'm giving my vote to, Matt. Matt is gonna speak for me, on this vote, whatever. He says wins. I don't care about any of this. I don't want VC's fine, like whatever, give your money to Kamala, that's okay. Matt, what's the winner? Like what hours exciting. The winner here is Amazon's is like it's the natural extension of the seven other things that have happened. And I feel like everybody's riding on the train, this is good. But but this this is Amazon saying they're down 7%, um, because no one wants, no one cares about buying stuff on Amazon. I like that. I like I wish they were down 7% every single week. Okay, I'll take it. All right, that's my turn. Oh that's the winner because I got Damien's vote. I just proxy voted for Dana excited. I'm like I'm like I SS I was kind of like oddly excited about that moment. I didn't know what you're gonna pick. All right, I'm going to start off with a lot of data, and on the other two are really short, short and easy. All right? Here's the data. 25,000 us directors active right now. It's about 20 for just over 25,000. The number of new directors in the United States. A publicly traded companies were pointed between June 1st 2023. And June 1st 2024, which is roughly proxy season 1,875, new directors. Okay. Yeah. Roughly like one director for every board. Almost pretty much the way it works out for the most part. The average time between appointment to aboard and election at an AGM. He's about four months. Where do you have that data you? You have the start date and then the AGM date. I have I took me a long time, okay, that's a tricky data point and that is a very true that we've argued about and yell about for a while. This is obviously a intentional strategy. the average TSR performance of those 1800 and 75 directors to the extent they've ever been on a publicly traded board before Is 473, is the batting average? What does that mean? Meaning, their average, they're just below. Barely below average. I mean, average range. You'd expect between 400 and 600 batting average for this. So they're literally squarely at average, maybe slightly below average, so you've added 1875 directors, Who are average at their, if you expect them to deliver stock results, they're average at it, they're not great. They're average. And the average vote in favor, for those directors, these new directors who are average Is 907.9% in favor. It's actually higher than the US average of 95% in the global average of 96%. You do see that in the voting patterns, you see that shareholders react to new directors? That's like yeah, like let's give them a choice. Let's exactly. Just put them on the board will sort it out later. Oh, my solution is better than this, which is that put up two directors, have them competing against each other. Here's what why I'm going down this data rabbit hole? There were nine different headlines that you pulled this week. Just this week of directors added to boards at the following companies well Tower NetApp nexstar Boston Scientific, kenview defi Technologies, American Airlines AEO and Williams-Sonoma that's just this week or any of the elected Well, all of them were appointed. Every one of these is American airline names. Howard Unger leader to its board. Kenview announces board changes. They said, Boston Scientific elects, David Hayden to board of directors but Boston Scientific shareholders didn't allow Boston sign in Texas, right? Right. And here's what I realized. The Williamson. Take Williams-Sonoma as an example, okay? William sonoma's last annual general meeting, in which shareholders vote for directors. That's where they do. The voting was on, May 29th of this year. Arianna Huffington was added to the board. 10 full months before the next AGM. That's so close to one year. Why didn't if she serves? Well, there are no rules. Average tenure disregard if she serves the average 10 or 10 year of seven years, Before she gets a vote, she will have served 12% of her total 10 years, you with percentage on elected. Wow. 12% of the time. She's a board member at Williams-Sonoma. If she serves the average tenure, she will be unelected if she serves less than average like, if she's just lasts for three years, a third of her time on the board. There was no for her, except you're forgetting. That the company's assumption is that since all of these directors have become rubber stamp now with we don't worry about it. Like, they're essentially elected to the board because they see the voting patterns, right? I mean that, well, with that argument, That might be there automatically grew with any way. This Harold democracy seems to be dormant when it comes to directors. It applies in 98% of the cases but Thomas Gaynor. Was added to the Coca-Cola board of directors. He served ten full months before he got a vote, and investors voted 39.1% against his election. He really, he was added to the board. He served there for 10 months and he actually was voted against your asshole. Here is the shareholder democracy, which is an unelected democracy for the most part. There is no democracy dormant, they're being put on board. Imagine if Kamala Harris, was named president of the United States, but that's what I want. Yeah, 10% off. And then people elected her this. Imagine if that was the case, that's our fucking mind. What? You're just describing. What happened in the TV show Veep. That's that's what I wanted by to do was is actually step down so that Kamala was already the president just like directors and can I say Matt this speaks to my point I made on one of our shows within the last few weeks is that so the the investable universe Thinks says that a controlled company is a is one where a single entity. Owns controls 30% of the vote. Right, that's right. Msci, considers a controlled company. That's why I said that. If, so if a director gets 30% against, they should call that. Yeah. Get out and effective majority, right? Because, yeah, if that same number control company, then Thomas Gainer should be out with 39%. That's My Philosophy at least, why not? That's a great Theory. Thank you finally my favorite. My favorite under the data that I looked at was a company called Mercury systems. Actually had three new directors appointed between June 23rd of 2023 in July, 2nd of 2023. The AGM, didn't happen until October 25th to 2023. It's a classified board was going to say. Yeah, classified. It had nine directors at the time. So they basically appointed three new directors, a third of the board and now it's got 11 directors on it, but a third of the board at the time, I wonder if no oversight and guess where they put them on the m&a committee, right? Oh, meaning in the, what six, five, six months between when they were put on the board and when they were elected, quote unquote to the board by shareholders. Imagine the amount of m&a, you could get done, you could negotiate a whole, do you buy a company and shareholders had no, say in the people who are overseeing the purchases that company? It's a fake democracy. People doesn't have to be so that, That's my first asshole. All right. It is the fake shareholder democracy. The other two are way easier to understand, but that one got me rolled up. When I look at what else, here's the data. For number two, free float uses of the word Ai and selling its massive data set and models. You want to how many times when we sell till like a client our data set? We say AI, not enough? Zero times. I've said, it's zero times. I get asked all the time. Do you guys use AI for this? And I say no, what are they care? Free float. Capital raises saying, the word AI getting SoftBank money. Trickling in pretending we're not full of shit zero. We've never said it when we went to an investor and said we we don't say. We use AI full disclosure though when we were when we were working on an investor deck. I did say we should put in AI. If you did you said that and then I said but then we'd be full of shit. Know you said I didn't put it. No, you said how do you spell AI? That's a direct quote. Total Capital raised by firms claiming to do AI in just the second quarter of this year. 55 billion dollars looking for unicorn. That's all I care about. Here's your headlines study. Finds consumers are actively turned off by products that use Ai. And second headline AI, toothbrushes are coming for your teeth and your data. This is what you spent 55 billion dollars on a toothbrush. Well, they brush my teeth for me. I would like your data. Well, what? Black, amounts the swirl, whether I got far enough back in my past like not that you're asking that but I've watched a lot of Shark Tank. How come no one's invented a device? That brushes your teeth for you? That. I mean that's what an electric toothbrush is. No, but really, you just put it in your mouth like a Roomba in your mouth. Like a robot back. You just put the Roomba in your mouth. Let it go to work. What are we waiting for me? Maybe you morons who are giving 55 billion dollars to every firm that just writes the word Ai and what they do yeah, should give that money to a company. That actually does something that people want, maybe like voting in the shareholder democracy and measuring, who's even have to be that about anything, who's the asshole that the asshole is every Visa, who's giving 55 billion dollars to the word AI. Even if they're supporting us, even if they're supporting common law. Know. That's why you guys didn't vote for VCS. I can't vote for VC. I don't like the way of BC's out their Capital are. I'll be honest. And for my last asshole, I'm Gonna Give You headlines first and then we'll come back. Okay, this is my game here. The head here, the headlines, Marvin Ellison. Who's Lowe's, you know, Lowe's department, you know, Home Improvement. Marvin Ellison says, a Throwdown with Calvin Butler would be a short fight because excelon CEO is a little fella. Here's another headline, Marvin Ellison. Really wants you to know. He's a chain guy now. What's that mean? And he wears chains. Oh Marvin Ellison, weird. Jane Fraser Citi group City CEO, Jane, Frazier, through Sandra Duckett who's TIAA Cref CEO and other Finance millionaires, brawl over politics Ramen LaGuardia, Pepsi CEO. Accepts the challenge to fight a Venezuelan strong man. He will chicken out. And finally know you're covered. But I mean, novakovic who's General Dynamics CEO defends posting a deep, fake video of Kamala Harris with a vulgar dig. She said in response to Governor, Gavin Newsom. She said, on X, I checked, with renowned world Authority, Professor Sagan Deez Nuts, and he said, parody is legal in America. Novakovic DoubleDown comments, she's really saying not to mention, pull it surprise winner, Dr. Head first named dick and Newsome, should create an endowed wink, share at University of California, for Professor, Deez Nuts. This is really depressing. I know what Joker going for here, but it's really depressing me. If those people actually said those things which none of those headlines are real well except I just changed the name. Yeah the headlines are real but the not the names. If those people had said, can you imagine, can you imagine? I had no phebe novakovic, the sea, the female CEO of General Dynamics. Said, I checked with renowned world Authority, Professor Sugg on Deez Nuts and he said parodies legal in America. But Matt, or if the Pepsi CEO excepted a challenge to fight Venezuela but Tesla stock is a meme stock. I mean, right? I mean that's what it is. It he just attention. That would be the last thing. They said in those positions Not only would it be the last thing they said their boards would fire them. Immediately shareholders would ask, what the hell? Those words were doing the boards would get even their brothers in the board would be like this is too much. Get a job for 10 years. It wouldn't they'd never have a job again. They never get a board position or at least until people forgot. Meanwhile, the real headlines are Elon Musk said, a Throwdown with Mark, Zuckerberg would be a short fight and Mark, Zuckerberg wants you to know he's a chain guy. Now, I don't really like you lumping in Elon with Zuckerberg on this was Mark. Zuckerberg is not a vile character. Three to fight Elon Musk, he agreed to that fight. That is hungry, that's silly, but there really is no comparison. Elon Musk is a vile human being Martin. Mark Zuckerberg, we don't have evidence of him. He just for the record. Yeah, it was Elon Musk who said those things about you. Yes. Elon Musk. The asshole here is macho bulshit because not only were these headlines where man babies were just spewing Macho bulshit. Like, oh, you've been as well. Oh, Mark Zuckerberg, too. Oh, you know what? We're gonna fight over politics? Oh, I can fight again. You're talking about Elon Musk. How fucking old are you people? Not only that but here are two other headlines that I didn't say. Yeah, male comments are completely meaningless online. Reviews. Have a master, Jen, massive gender divide. So, they found when they look at reviews between male reviewers and female reviewers, that women actually review the product and men just say stupid patrols like on these nuts. And how about this headline On The Wall Street Journal? Merit excellence and intelligence and anti D E? I approached catches on This is just man babies being man, babies. I'm so fuckin tired. Like I want every one of these headlines to switch to a woman or a black person and then, and read it out loud. And then say, oh my God, that's a horrific thing for that person to have said, there's and then realize someone actually said it, and just because they were a billionaire man, baby does not make it okay. There's a thing. It's gross that phebe novakovic would say suck on these nuts, to somebody else saying, why is not gross for you, Matt. There's a headline from fortune that I tagged this week. Here's the headline. I'm a tech CEO. And I asked a group of diverse women to expose biases in our AI chatbot. It didn't take long. That's the headline. It's, it's really, it's shockingly. Unbelievable to me, what we put up with because of who said it having nothing to do with the Merit of what said, we just say other billionaire or they make me money or you know like that's just boys being boys. Meanwhile, I substitute any name in there. Like can you imagine Marvin Ellison a black male CEO whose worked his entire life to get to that position. There are six of them in the Fortune 500 Saying something like oh fight one of the other black males CEOs he'd be a short but because short, right? Like like what kind of so fucking stupid. Oh boy. All right, so those are your three. It is the fake but that's really a long-winded way of a very clever. I will say, but long-winded way of once again, just ripping your hair out because the ongoing presence of Elon Musk, right? Because this really is about Elon Musk. It's not it goes. On Elon Musk because we're listening to David sacks and Vivica Ramos, Swami's whole campaign. Okay well man babies being or media. So tired of media organization like relying on the clickbait of these type of stories, they don't have to keep pump like this one about the chain. Where is that? One? It Mark Zuckerberg really wants you to know he's a chain guy. Now, that news outlet should not be putting out stories like that is. Not sure that's business. Absolutely, that's just absolute nonsense. Exactly what businesses, I know, but it's nonsense, it's nonsense. Like, when Trump got shot in the ear, the picture of him, like fizz pumping the crowd with the American flag behind him. And people being like, Oh, that's what a president looks like. That's fucking Macho. Bulshit if you listen to a single thing that guy said, whether or not I got shot in the ear, should be absolutely immaterial to your vote. Like, look at that picture and they say that's guys Macho. So go ahead and vote. Dave, there's your three. The fake shareholder democracy children, democracy. Fake, AI, bulshit. I give us money and Macho bulshit. Okay, much of bullshit. I mean look. Yeah, we do talk about this weekly, we don't see, we don't see me. Moving the needle when it comes to like what are we supposed to do with Macho? Bulshit and Elon Musk? So, in a pass on that one, that's a recurring story. It is, it's Ai and it drives me nuts. The AI story really is about the VCS but I'm in full agreement with you is that the way they allocate money is disturbing because really they're just waiting for unicorns, right? They want to, they want to invest in that one company that turns into Nvidia, so they can be ultra billionaires, right? It's, it's if they vote, if they were to give their money to a firm like free flow, which is like that, doesn't say AI the scale Growers. If no, they can get fired, if we fail. But if they gave their money to AI when everybody else is, you can't get fired because you did what everyone else did. But the one that, of course, the is most relevant to me and in into this company, of course, is the the ineffectiveness, the dormant shareholder democracy because there really aren't enough people in our industry who are yelling about these same points. I mean and I know they agree. But yeah, but they needed they needed to talk about it because this is a this is a very Niche issue this this although I think I remember, I feel like I remember either Nell or Bob talking about this back in the day it was now but very issue. The boards are pointing directors before their elected. But it but it feels like in an important one because it does it undermines the role of oversight, undermines the role of shareholders. Think of it, in terms of the percentage of their tenure their average you already you already you already told us that that is my that's crazy to me, 12 percent of your tenure. That's crazy. That's my vote. That's my vote. Matt's gonna have to break a tie. Oh sorry, know which way he's gonna go, but the fact that you're Macho asshole, bulshit thing you That was a real gasp. I had no idea what you were doing. I wish I had no way. These women are singing these things. I wish I hadn't collected. Those headlines. Maybe I would have fallen for her but I did enjoy. That was good. I it's I have to go with the data one but don't I don't, I actually agree that the Macho bulshit one is but that's not really a weekly. That's not of this week issue its ongoing unfortunately come on oh I guess the other nuts. Come on. All right. Yes, I believe. Maybe I think from now on our that Matt she goes second. So we're always ending on this depressing down But the Macho bulshit just really cracks me up. So I'm gonna go as a high, but I'll go first, I have a headlining us this week and it is Mark, Zuckerberg goes, It goes on stage gets excited and says swear words and what I don't know why that just cracked me up. Everybody knew the time that it was meeting my friends puppy and the puppy got so excited. He peed on me and it just has a friend he gets on. Who's he your friends? The puppy. What was the swear word? Did you actually read the article? Did we know I like that line? I think it was noodles. That's the way to my headline. I just thought this headline was ridiculous. One of the world's top airlines and first of all headline writers, can you just tell us the name of the headline in the it's are Korea. Just not American. You think, I'm not gonna care. I'm gonna care one of the world's top. Airlines will stop serving economy, passengers in Flight, instant noodles over fears of burns, due to Rising turbulence. And like there's that there's two things, his headline kind of leaves out one is that they're still gonna serve. First class. Passengers. Instant. Yeah, they do. And second, the reason why there's a rise in turbulence is the scientists, think the effects of climate change climate change. I do want to point out that, I think, I think that as a perk, you can still get instant noodles in first class where you paid like 7,000 dollars more for seven percent noodle. Yeah, as a freezer as a freeze, that's my official title here at the company. I just love the phrase in Flight, instant noodles, who knew? That was a thing. I love that so much better. All right, here, the inflate magazine, I'll tell you that much. Here's mine in my why it's mine because it's actually not that good of a headline McDonald's. Gargantuan, big arch Burger contains 2/3 of your daily caloric intake and that's true. No fries. Or drink is that true fries? That's the one stop. That's what people are doing that. But I just Well like it 25 10 Gallery. Hey 65 wow. Yeah, it's a lot. Um so I just like to think of the pitch meeting when they were like guys the stock is tanking, people are not buying as much McDonald's. We jacked up the price so much because agreed inflation. What do we do next? And someone raised their hand and was like have we worked out the idea of not just a burger but like a big burger like a bigger one like with more stuff in it we'll charge more for it. But how about a big like that is burger? And you know that the love that the cycle of these decisions takes years so they just yeah, I can't wait for someone to drive through Ai and order an arch burger and it gives him 4,000 Arts Burgers like seven years worth of calories. I will say this to McDonald's credit, that it might be worth 40 dollars because it is your basically, your all of your days meals. See right well, If you didn't eat any more meals, which you shouldn't and won't because you're gonna feel gross. Yeah, I I'm if they were picking a headline here, I'm going with Ari's though. Oh, please say gets excited says swear and is the idea what noodles a dog peeing on Ari's leg actually just just are you vote for that? One? Just move on. Let's go. Yeah, which gets us winners and predictions. All right, well, my winner, this week is Elon Musk for saying all those things and still having a job really is your winner. That's the worst winner for sucking, but still having a sucky job and still I had a company with the winner. I think the winner Should Be Few, you know, the covid for not having said those things. Despite the fact that I pretended she did. Mine is quick. Yeah, and boring. It's, it's still Kamala Harris. It's still my winner, although probably should be Simone biles because I did stay up watching. Oh, there you go. She did, she did bring in like 300 million dollars for the month of July, and she more than doubled drums, and I'm gonna be honest, I'm I did shop yesterday so I feel like it's her. Oh, no, depressed anymore. That's good. But you know, the winner should really be NBC for like hiring Snoop Dogg and all these other personalities that have seemed to have paid off its. Yeah I don't know, it's all the entertaining, you know, why they're high again, it's back to the Amazon story because Americans are suddenly not depressed. I think was giving us hope and feeling we're feeling patriotic about something again. Well you're both wrong about the winner anyway, the winner was the company Bosch. Yeah, it's a company that won this week. Here's the headline up. First headline, I saw Bosch to buy Johnson Controls air conditioning assets for eight billion dollars a Smart Buy. And I saw the next headline I saw, like, literally the next one I saw was four hottest days ever. Observed raised fears of planetary point. I'm imagine, that's by imagine that purchase baby air conditioning. It's not as day and in France's attempt to make these Olympics, like sustainable, whatever. The however you want to find that word, they're really, they're making their best efforts to not destroy everything around them while hosting these Olympics. One of them was to not have to not have a ridiculous usage of air conditioning and you know who's complaining about a lack of air. Conditioning is the American athlete, the Americans. Yes, we don't like because most Americans, I mean, I live in New England, so I don't really know air conditioning that well, but most Americans live, like constantly like 60 degree air conditioning like in Houston like that. That's their expectation, you're crazy, America's are crazy. All right. What a prediction. You have a prediction. I don't I have a prediction. I have a very boring CEO based prediction. I actually, I'm throwing it out there. I'm throwing my Boomerang out there. Howard Schultz back at Starbuck's question mark. Wow, that's why not. Because it's a real prediction. Let's not forget. Like Bob Iger he lurks around. He creeps around a LinkedIn. He's he's criticizing the company, he's he's putting his dumb point of view out there so I don't know, maybe we're getting Howard Schultz again, I never thought it would happen but I, I like that prediction and hate that prediction at the same time. All right, my prediction, the final prediction. McDonald's, a points, a big arch Burger to the board. Oh, Haze it 400,000 dollars with the signing bonus and used to the corporate Jet and it serves nine full months being before investors get a chance to say. Why is there a hamburger on the board of this cup? I love the idea at McDonald's. They could put a burger on a board. You're forgetting. The other part of that prediction is that that burger also gets a point of the Starbucks Port as part of their expansion because that's how this is how bored membership Works in this. The people 500 Man, it's good to be the big arch Burger. We got. The data clean. I mean it's hazelnut Rollins, we are free float, we'll be back next week to do more of the same thing. Come out on Tuesday. Listen to the show. We've got, I think we're doing, we did nuggets this week. Know it's a weird listening, maybe whose phone is anyway, again, whose fault is it. Anyway, that was our show this week, I was great. Um, we got a proxy countdown possibly next week which is our other show, and we'll be back next week on Friday until then goodbye.
