it's Friday. And man, do we need it. Well, you do. That's right. We are live and alive. I feel alive is not convincing. We're Half alive, but still alive. This is are the data Queen joined by analysts whole, Matt moscati hazelnut roles and special guests Chantal. And turn Chantels back? No nickname. Yeah, internships. Today's weekly wrap up. We'll have story of the week. Oh, we're back. Jen. Zest of the week, I got. That's what that is. Are you? Are you gen Z? Are you Millennial? What are you? I am. Definitely a millennial. Yeah. Sad. Damian, why don't you take it away? All right. Just going right into it. I want to say hello to Sean for or anything. Just go, right to a candy bar in a nap. That's what, that's what we're here. I won't always been at school and traveling the world and busy doing like real life stuff. Meanwhile, we're here I would say hello, Sean, Paul, but we're in my segment now, technically, so I don't, I don't have the time to be personal or friendlies, so go ahead. All right, I'm gonna start off on a non-depressing story. Is it really? Yeah. Okay. There are those Sean Paul. You're probably not aware of this but I love when CEOs apologize for things and it's actually when they this one where he's deeply. Sorry I love deeply sorry I love what comes before the apology. She I just the greatest. So I just thought I would pick something that wasn't doomsday. Although it is sort of Doomsday but compared to the other stories, it seems like a breath of fresh air crowd, strike Windows, it outage CEO deeply. Sorry for Global chaos. Caused by Microsoft update and warrant fix may talk takes some time to where I already have already getting texts from board friends in New York who have nothing to do today, because I guess their workers aren't working, but they should stop bothering me. I don't care. My computer's not working. Yeah. Why you have apples? Maybe what is that? I don't. Um, Yes, this is this. I guess is fun, but I'm a little disappointed that he's not laser focused on his apology. He's just deeply. Sorry, I'm gonna take the time to here's what actually. His name is George Kurtz. Okay, this is the guy. This is actually the CEO. If it was a woman, they would have put the woman's name in the headline, but since it's a man that they don't put the name, I don't know how that works, but it was a woman and D. E, I was shame her. It's a yo, Jane Frazier or something. So, but here's what George Kurtz should actually be sorry for her. First of all, he controls 20% of crowdstrike through because of his voting power. That is not. It's not based on his actual ownership of shares, it's based on a rigged system that he helped create where his class B shares are worth 10 votes per share. So, so, George is already sort of starts part of the problem here. He's, he should also be sorry for being a co-founder and a CEO and a director despite already. Oh yeah, 20% of voting power, according to our data, he 64% of the influence so really? He should just be sorry for himself for. Is there anything? He's not sorry for should also be sorry for picking a board chair. That's Gerard watzinger. That was serving as an executive at McAfee while. He was also an executive at McAfee, so that's the independent. Chair. Yeah, well that's the funny part about that sentence is independent but that's what they call it. They call them Independence but you're telling me that he wasn't CEO and founder and chair. No, that's the miracle. Here he found a friend from McAfee to be the independent chair and they've served side by side for over a decade. Now you know, the other co-founder of this company all so worked at Mackay and George Kurtz. Actually, he did some like he did the kind of programming you do when you're in your living room and you're 12 years old and you're hacking into the Department of Defense, you know, like or that's what you're trying to do. But then he went and he got his, he's a CPA, he got his degree in accounting that which does not seem to align with a global cyber security solution accounting. I will say this, the chair got 26% votes against his reelection this year. So without his buddies, sure ownership. He might be gone, but still there like that. He should also maybe apologize for wasting another board seat on the crowdstrike board, with the former Chief marketing officer Joanne our flower. I don't know why we need her. And maybe we should apologize for having a classified board. Meaning that the shareholders don't even get to vote that annually and all the directors. They have to wait. Every that is three years. And how about this? Maybe he should apologize for having a say on pay vote? Not every year, but every three years, which means which didn't even have a say over his, almost 200 million dollars in pay for in 2023 and 2022, they couldn't vote on that. Maybe he shouldn't apologize for that. That's that's not his. Anyway, that's he that's the guy. Deeply apologize. George Curtis. I like deeply apologizing. That's a good story. And there's a segue he'll say and this is for all you Tesla owners, just to make you feel a little bit more shame of yourself. Elon Musk. Yes, it's already blaming diversity initiatives for this outage. He's already. He's Which is finally said it, which is okay since nothing goes wrong in his company. So I think he has Authority here to make fun of I did, I, I saw that headline that he's blaming Dei and now all I can think when he is like, mocking someone and saying deis to play, all I can think is giant Wiper. Like, that's now all I can think like he had to recall every single cybertruck because of giant wiper failure. That's I like that. Okay, let's move on to my next door. Unfortunately is about Elon Musk. Elon Musk says on 40, sorry, but it does seem like a big deal. He says he'll pledged 45 million dollars a month to a pro-trump. Super PAC that's potentially about 200 million dollars donating to a man who hates electric vehicles. So take that Tesla shareholders, yeah, that right to the bank. Even in Texas yet. Yeah. Haven't even made it there yet, right? Where I, I'm surprised he didn't already have something ready. Like what are we waiting for know? They're they're currently in the airport waiting to get on the plane. To get to Texas, but the crowd strike knocked them out. Well, I hope to the airline. They use does not have a Dei initiative. The third story of the week, speaking of horrible stuff, John Deere remember, a couple weeks ago. Tractor Supply did this. Now it's John Deere. Is it called John Deere anymore? Dear, it's called deer right here in company Deering company caves to conservative backlash and Dei efforts. Here's his own horrible and creepy statement. They made about rejecting Dei policies. They said quote, that they're committed to our customers, but Which customers are we talking about here, just their white customers right there? White male. Yeah, what kind of a statement is that, man? I mean, they're trying to say that their customers are against Diversity Equity inclusion. I don't understand how they even know that they're committed to their customers who don't like black. I find that creepy. They had to say that. Sorry. Are they laying people off or they just not well. Publicizing what they do. Internally, I don't know if it's just a coincidence or they're just assholes, but at the same time, they're also sending American jobs to Mexico so I, you know. Yeah. There you go. You know. Mexico is full of people of color. Are they committed to them? But yeah. I was keeping those jobs in the US. Oh. Is that the way it was working? Oh, so they got rid of. I'm so confused. What you guys been doing? I don't dear. And finally, this week was Prime, what are they called Prime day even though Prime days not two days? Prime month. I think it's a record 14 billion dollars they made on selling nonsense to Holy Holy Holy this headline, caught my attention. Nearly half of American Amazon warehouse workers. Get injured in the prime Day rush. How was this? I mean, how was this? How do they let this happen? I don't understand this. Why is this okay? I don't get this part of it. Why, why are you? Why the government shave? Able to tax Prime day differently, half half get injured, half, that's Bonkers to me. Those are half of all workers. And what are we consider an injury? Is it like a paper cut like from the box? I don't know, or like yeah, I don't know. That's not reportable a paper cup. You don't think so. Okay, you know, back stuff and, you know, wrong equipment, use and stuff. Like what if it's a paper cut in your eye, brighten your eyeball right in the middle of your eyeball? Well, have you seen the ever seen the show alone? It's on Netflix. It's like the show where people like, they send like, survivalists with like three matchsticks and, you know, a can of beans and they drop them in the center of like Canada and they're like survive. As long as you can, the winner gets 500,000, but they have to do all. They have like all every single episode. Like is basically someone eating something that's contaminated and getting sick. This is or like injuring themselves. It was there was an episode where a guy basically gave himself a paper cut. Like it was like a tiny cut and it's like a great tangent, infected Rose. You see my mom, there's something wrong with your mother. See this is you listening. Look, it's these jobs can be dangerous. I'm saying those are my four stories. You're you're four stories here are crowdstrike but not crowdstrike going. The I the massive Global. It outage it is the apology that's actually your story deeply. Sorry, CEO. Yeah. Musk spending all his money on Trump, Super PAC John Deere deer caving to conservatives and Prime day hurting injury, the prime day injury one, that's not new. We know it's happened this week like a story. I sure that's true. That's the story of the week is definitely Elon Musk saying he'll give 45 million dollars a month. It's a shocking. Totally there. And remember, Tesla shareholders just voted. They're trying to rewrite his pace. So basically, they're, I guess they're just funneling, they paying it. Yes. Now they are funding it. That's so that's actually key. And again, anyone listening who drives a Tesla have fun with that today. A fun going to. So it's dumbest So, Ari's vote is for musk Trump wedding. Chantelle, who you voting for? I'm gonna vote for the crowdstrike. Yes. Yeah, deeply. Sorry Global tailor act. All right. I mean Global chaos that's bigger than your dumb musk story. And isn't this, isn't it? What is AI related? So I saw another headline on our headline sheet about George Kurtz and Microsoft AI initiative that I don't know I don't I don't know that. I know what wasn't? It's not a side. I know it's not a Cyber attack at all. I really know. I think they were up quickly and said something and maybe AI. It was updating something. I have no idea. Honestly, I am also as much as I want to go with musk Trump. I can't because I actually I think the the fact that a dual class semi dictator because he doesn't have full control but it's considered a controlled company because between him and the private Equity Firm that sells it in him. They own over 30% of that 35% of the voting power. But I think every time one of these things happens, you should be asking yourself. Why do we allow like a single dude, to make all the decisions. Why is this? Okay? Because this is what happens. There's no accountability for that guy. Okay? To donate 45 million dollars a month. Wait, two super wait, wait, you're off the, you're on a different path. She's going somewhere else, yeah, it might be okay with me. If the amount of shares you owned were a majority of the shares, but but not, when you rig the system and your Shares are worth 10 voting, for sure. That can we stop calling any of the controlled companies public companies? Because the only thing you can do is an investor is buy the shares. And it's a gamble, it's a bet. And I think that's it's not public. It's a private company, your bedding on. It's it's like going a horse races. Like I don't own the horse, I'm just betting, I don't know, I don't know. Anything else on the horse race. What's your vote? You are. That's the story of the week and it's the correct story. Let's move on to mine. Oh, good. I'm Gonna Make You Feel Good. The first story is Amazon. Oh, Oh, the one that's injuring. Have its warehouse workers during their two-day shopping. Yeah, Festival. Amazon hits 100% renewable, energy goal. All right well that's pretty good. They announced earlier this week or maybe it was last week that they hit this goal, seven years, ahead of their initial Target. That actually makes me sad what they have spent a lot of money investing in renewable energy. Purchasing renewable energy funding projects that lead to renewable energy and emerging Technologies. So I think, you know, they're showing the rest of the big companies with to do. Well, what about this headline from bass company today that says, Amazon Prime, day is a festival of consumption is terrible for the environment. How does the place? Yeah, well, so yeah. None of that renewable energy. Goal includes driving your stupid package to your stupid. What do you talking about? How does it not It's all the isn't. It's it's powering Global operations. But the cars are not all electric, so not to mention, I don't think they even own all their infrastructure or do they own aren't a lot of those The Last Driver they've increasingly owned because they couldn't find anybody to actually do it? Well, but like, occasionally, and I don't know if you've had this happen occasionally, like a guy in a car, will drive off a pad. I don't want him, it's really confusing. I don't know where that guy's from how you, it's really awkward. I don't know if this is good, it's good. And also does that make you feel? When you hear the Amazon hits his renewable, energy goal, you're how the Gen Z it does make me feel like, it's just another green washing story where they're saying and these specific area. Yeah, yeah we need to. My school is trying to be carbon neutral and they're doing things like trying to not plant trees and call those carbon sinks. But like, a lot of places will find little sneaky ways that they can say that they're carbon neutral or completely renewable. But that's true, which is why it's important to know how many billions of dollars. And I don't have the number because I say this to your school's credit, Sean told they, they do not run a prime day, right? They don't have a global sale. The schools they do make shity grilled cheese sandwiches though, all right, speaking of billions of dollars and grilled cheese, My other good story, Michael Bloomberg, donates a billion dollars to provide free tuition to Future doctors at Johns Hopkins. I like that. I mean, right? That's cool. Well, I mean, earns less than 300,000 dollars and there's also money for students in nursing school and public that, I'm going to begging a billionaire to make more doctors. Why? I like that. Why does the headline exclude? The nursing school? And why are we focusing on the doctors? Oh, stop just saying because we need more doctors and med school debt. I'm sort of okay with that one, I don't. Why does Michael Bloomberg have a billion dollars laying around a donate? I don't really get what he did with it that you're agreeing with. Yeah, but finally, yes, from a very A week filled with a lot of good stories. Pick up litter and get free stuff in Copenhagen this summer through eco-conscious Rewards program. What is the literate itself is free? You mean if you pick it up, There's something about a Rewards program that Ari cannot. I love it, too. I like, I love. It's like if there's a little star involved, if you can, if you collect little badges, as you go, our days at Starbucks, you know, Arya is all in on everything that looks rewarding. Anyway, but Copenhagen they have a listening lunch. Yeah, and you can get free lunch break up coffee or kayak tours or a free entrance to Museum and you can participate in different activities like biking instead or taking zero missions public transport instead of driving or picking up litter. Do you think they'll use AI to determine if I just brought my trash in from my home? Yeah, we'll travel our own litter to get the free stuff. I love this so much. I mean this should be in every city across the globe. I exactly, this is just great. What is the lunch that they're giving? I don't care what it's not salted fish for their food. If it's a if it's like a grilled cheese from Chantel's school, I'm not insulted fish head, it's salted fish head, I'm out, I'm out. All right, you're three options is Amazon. It's renewable. Energy goal, seven years, early. That's amazing for the planet. Michael Bloomberg gives a billion dollars free tuition for future. Doctors noting that those doctors, the families have to earn less than 300,000 dollars a year. Which is pretty good 300,000 is a lot of money. Yeah. Um and picking up litter, gets you free stuff in Copenhagen and including a cup of coffee that look I'm gonna go first. That's easily my vote. Yeah. Well, I mean, it was good. That one in for me, that was Copenhagen, which is in Denmark and not France, I don't care, it's all good. I want to go next. I'll have to say Bloomberg. Oh, recognizes the value. He's probably trying to get a job. He's listening in. Yeah. Um oh man, you know what? I really Amazon? I don't I I'm gonna go with the one that nobody wants to go with. I'm gonna go with Amazon just to make it a tie. So that Ari has to pick. I'm ready, which ones actually good. It is definitely 100%, renewable, energy goals. Wow, I was right, I was right kind of surprised by that. Are you kidding? It's not a pledge. It's like, no. I know. I, I just I like Sean tell said though, I I feel like there's a bigger picture. We need to be understanding here, but I look, I they made a pledge right by 2030. They hit 2023. Like I can support that, it's fine. Every single company, that makes a pledge magically either hits its five ten years early, or it just disappears, The Ether, and they never mentioned it again. It's like there's no in between but that does bring us to our segment of the week, I would say. Yeah. Right Chantel segment, let's wait. Why does she get segment of the week? Because her segments going to be better than ours. Okay, she's jenzie. It's Jen zest of the week. That's why it's the best my pronouncing that right? If to gen zers, that's that pronounced correctly. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. When you consult, A dictionary. That's exactly how it said, okay? Yeah. So my first headline of the week is a wired headline, about our favorite Court, the US Supreme Court, not my favorite Court. Uh-huh. Which is the US Supreme Court has handed. Tech big Tech of big gift. So related to a lot of things in the business world as everyone knows they overturned a lot of things recently, including the Chevron Doctrine, which means that federal federal agencies, who used to have the like interpretation power of the laws and policies that they made. Well, now have to defer to lower courts to decide how things actually get interpreted. So, it's taking away a lot of power from the EPA. But there's, there's a two kind of double-edged Sword to this where Well, it might work in our favor and the sense of if you're anti-trump and Trump is the new president and he fills a bunch of his, I know just a hypothetical heels of his, you know, Administration with kind of cronies who are anti-environment the courts on the lower level. Yes, through your interpretation. Yeah, I'm holding out on the Earth right now. okay, so what you're saying is that that if we're lucky enough to live and say New England, we won't have to listen to their nonsense. Is that what you're saying? Like, if we live yes the right jurisdiction. But if every single lawsuit is brought in say Texas, that's pretty much screwed, Texas. And Florida for instance, right? Pretty much. Yeah. I mean it is the double-edged sword. It's getting a lot of things and it's overturning. A lot of Prior precedents and three cases right now that are kind of hot topics are meta which is filing a lawsuit against the, FTC about how it wants to collect and profit off of minors data, which was previously ruled unconstitutional. She's yeah, And back to us, SpaceX filed a lawsuit. Alleging that the National Labor Relations Board was wrong for accusing, the company of Legally, firing workers, that criticized Musk. So okay once again and then the net neutrality thing which is a whole entrusting concept of you know protecting consumer protection principals allowing you know streaming services to not defer some types of better treatment to some people versus others. That was something that I feel like a lot of conservatives make a big huh about you know feeling so well. Be dirty on the show who has Aha wrong wrong thing, but it was introduced under Obama ruled back under Trump and reintroduced under Biden. That can be rolled back again. So basically, you're allowed to discriminate on the streaming services. Surprise again. Yeah, I'm confused by feel good about any of she's not search for you to feel good. I know so angsty and it says the millennial to the Genesee. But I like talking about the Chevron Doctrine as not about Chevron. It's about 700 other companies I hate that's that's that. Does that does expand the net of uncomfortable uncomfortable in this that I have but also it's like correct me if I'm wrong. Sean toe. We're, we're chipping away at Federal Authority. Is that the whole goal here, which, which I don't like that. And we're so. And also, what you're saying basically is 100, what is 160 years later? We're basically still fighting The Civil Wars that were doing. We're still, we're still battling. Yeah States. Right. When you combine it with the Dei thing, then yeah, it actually might literally be that. Yeah. All right. What else? Next one is a lot better have a functional. I love talking about the current Supreme Court. Yeah. And I had to throw that in there but in better news, 7/11 might be receiving some serious upgrades. Oh, he's all in. That's all you it's done. Are you kind of? Yeah. So Japanese 711 are known for their snacks and they're coming to the US. Particularly isn't that where you ate half the time you were in Japan? So when I was in Japan, No in Japan. It's like that's the their versions of seven elevens. Like that's where you go to get. That's the good news like you get food there. In fact, my youngest daughter. That's all she would eat. It was like the chicken at the Family. Mart at that was right below where we stayed. Yeah. Someone Actually, I have to. listen to Us were only really known for us, Slurpees and stuff like that. She's Damian wants to go pick up litter to get a free cup of coffee would not go into a 7-Eleven and get a fucking Fish Head. He'd take his own trash together. All right. So that might be up on the horizon for the US in general. I just like this 7/11 is dead Long Live 7-Eleven was a concluding statement of the article and our 7-Elevens get replaced with other 7-Eleven. I just like that. You're excited that you. So you're saying Chantal that you you and your generation is excited by 7-Eleven. Yeah I like just going to say I was like this bodes. Well for our future like Chantels like hanging out with her friends and they're talking about the Supreme Court Chevron Doctrine and how it's destroying Federal power to regulate. And 711 is going to have awesome snacks. Those two things are that just awesome. Everyone needs access to some really good snacks. I think that Japanese 7-Eleven's provide that, right, it's true Americans have, they don't have enough access to really good snacks, we're deprived here in America. It's Too. The US is basically. Prices. And And, um, tobacco sales, and the Japanese 7-Elevens are dependent on really good frozen food. So, wow, I'm all for switching the economy to go from tobacco and gas to frozen food. Maybe that's what we need to do. Open up the 7-Eleven that the company. Yeah, that can be asked for half the block. Anyways, just really hungry. Yeah. And my last one relates to meme stock. Oh this sounds very cheesy. Yeah, I like this. Yeah. Okay. Now, we're talking, yeah, like all my high school classmates participated and the whole Game Stop thing really two headlines here. Oh yeah, okay. So they all were they screw it up 100% with 300 That's why we care. Yeah, even more in Tokyo, the dollar is great right now but the two Meals our GameStop stock drops after CEO posts on X the mean roller coaster continues. Okay. So that was looking like a little bit of a downfall for Ryan Cohen. Who's looking for like mobile app developers in Dallas and says, that no college degree is necessary to apply. Okay, so, this is why it might be interesting. So this is why you think it dropped though because of that post? Yeah. No insinuation. This is the part of the show where Chantal announces that she's dropping out of college. Oh good. I can't come through, then I'm dropping out of college. Yeah, I hope your mom is listening. Because every time I talk to Chantal, I I suggest that she do it. She drop out of college, so if I finally. Yeah. Good. That's great. That's good mentoring. Yes. But in a kind of raising the whole Game Stop connection chewy a different company shares stage short lived rally. Well yeah, chewy shares stage shortly as filing. Repeal of reveals bring Kitty takes steak, right? So basically chewy the like dog food company, super popular with young people. Yeah, they Rose 15% on Monday. Um, after on the filing showed Keith Gill, which is also whose known as Warren Kitty. And who was the guy who kind of manufactured the whole Game. Stop thing had picked up a 6.6% stake, and the pet products, well, and, and Ryan Cohen. If I'm found correctly. Founded chewy. Yeah, right. Uh-huh. That's that's the Three line there. So or roaring Kitty. Know couldn't tell you he hasn't disclosed that information but he has you know, basically gained a stake worth about 245 million in this company. So And chewy know, what is your perspective on this Chantal? Are you, are you a degenerate game stopper? Meme person or why? Why did you choose a story? you know, I personally have never even opened Reddit, so, I've opened it on Safari, but I've never opened the app, and I've never gotten beyond my specific search. That was, somehow happens to pop up on Reddit first. but I feel like it's interesting because I feel like roaring Kitty has this kind of whole like, Alternative, like Persona of this guy fighting Wall Street with the whole GameStop thing and it's kind of funny to see where he goes next and where people are kind of doing next with their random Investments with 245 million. Yeah, I mean, he's, he's a random guy fighting the system who now has 245 million dollars to win and who follows around Ryan Cohen essentially, right. I what does he do anything? It's not attached right? Call left chewy, didn't he doesn't ownership stake? I'm sure he's got a steak. Yeah he bought a ton of shares of GameStop, right? Yeah, calling. Yeah, he's a CEO of GameStop now he is. Okay. Yeah, they're just so well. Yeah. a not sure if it's just this emotional connection to GameStop that you know is now translating into another emotional connection to pets, you know and that whole Corporation in generals and funds but I think it's funny how, you know, it seems like a lot of people my age, kind of, put their money, kind of where they want things to go to. And so, it'll be interesting to see more people. Follow him. I think this is the most revealing segment we've ever had, because Chantal went from one of the more depressing things that you cannot control, which is the removal of the Chevron Doctrine the ultimate. Yeah, the end of sort of control Federal Regulation and controls of things that we want to. Let's eat our feelings at 7:11, and gamble. The money we have no future prospects. It's like, is it does sum up nicely? How? Like, an entire generation like real? Yeah, I will say, go ahead. My alternative is, it's all. Take down the system like yeah you know, taking down regulations does suck but if it's undermining Administration where we might have a fascist Administration, then maybe that's not a bad thing. 711 down to gasoline. And tobacco. I hate both of those things, too. And meme stocks down with Wall Street. Yeah, take down the system. Wow, that's a good reframing, right there. Uh, are we voting on this? Yeah, we're voting on these. What is the Gen zest? This is, you're specifically trying to which one is the most gen Z related closer for a bunch of non gen Z people for some reason, I can just picture all gen Z congregating at 7:00. No to take down. Yeah, I don't believe that. All right. That's, that's a solid vote. That's weird because I feel like our generation Gen X are the seven eleven people weren't we the ones accused of just like hanging out in front of smoking the cigarette after he was nothing else. There was no internet, nothing. Just you're the reason why that they have no loitering signs. Yeah. Oh yeah. Phone calls on the pay phone and telling people, I'm at the 7-Eleven come pick me up. I don't understand the 7-Eleven thing. I've never been to Japan, so maybe that's why I don't understand it. I don't know what you guys are talking about. I think you're idiotic. So I'm gonna skip over that one roaring Kitty. I don't think I actually care about roaring Kitty unless he's a fan of the show and wants to become involved with us and use our data to help. In that case, I'm a huge fan of roaring kitty. Yeah, yeah. But I'm gonna vote for, I just like, hearing young, people get sad about the Chevron Doctrine, because that's why I'm sad about too, so I I'm gonna vote for that one. I'm gonna make Sean celebrate the tie because I'm going to pick the obvious gen z e one, which is the gents. Here's who are betting on Meme stocks, which is still a thing 2020. Should we call it a meme? If it's been four years and we're doing the same thing, I would call it a style of investing in which you're looking at companies, you describe a totally different view of capital markets then every fuck face in a, you know, salmon colored shirt and khakis talk about me walking into their Boston offices. So I'm gonna go with her meme stocks. So Sean, Paul tell us what gen Z really thinks. You know. I'm gonna have to go with the meme stocks in the Twin too. Yeah, that is correct. I got it, right. I think it's the most random story. That's crazy that some guy who basically just posted a really successful mean once on Reddit, was able to gain millions of followers and then, you know, gain a whole Army of people who would follow his stock choices. So that's still in 2024 years later, they're able to change how the stock market, maybe that gives us hope Matt You know, but Keith, I know you're a listener or the show Keith Gill. Um, we have a plan. We're gonna do, meme vote. Let's vote some directors out. Let's go. Do that. Do that with us? We can certainly use your followers. Yeah, just take over the company with some voting. Wait, does that mean it's my turn? Yeah, segue into yourself. I don't know. You're the host as holy ghosts. I'm waiting. I'm waiting to get segwayed. All right, here's your data for this week. Take my headphones off. 32 directors that have that sit on. 66 board seats for 32 directors, they sit on 37 company boards. Nearly all of which Have Dei targets or efforts that have been disclosed. Okay. And these are Damien's headlines, Tractor Supplies, customers cheer as it dumps. Yes, she says, survey Microsoft reportedly fires, Dei team becoming the latest company to ditch woke policy and John Deere Cuts woke programs moves jobs to Mexico. Really? What I the assshole here to me is effectively the boards of these companies. They must approve your company, they had to put out Tractor Supply put out an 8K, their statement saying that they were not going to do Dei not report to you know Human Rights Watch they were not going to. They were going to scrub their Works their Dei targets. That's a board level decision. And it got me wondering if the board members would have approved this attractor Supply. Wouldn't they approve it? Everywhere? They are, and they're on 37 different company boards. Oh, maybe they're the ones. Not just Tractor Supply, its tractor, deer and Microsoft board members, who are on 37 company boards. I mean, there's a smattering of the Hypocrites. Okay. All right. Not to be judgmental but the Tractor Supply deer that doesn't surprise me. The Microsoft thing is concerning. I don't. I'm the Microsoft is. Yeah. It feels like a big deal although their didn't scrub their targets, they just fired their team. Yeah that's that. Feels like you know when Tesla fires its supercharger team but still is gonna build chargers, right? Like that's that's just seems right but here's a smattering of the Hypocrites that I'm talking about how long is the CEO of Tractor Supply but he also sits on the sealed Air Board and this is from sealed Air's disclosures sealed. Air offers unconscious bias training, they have a Dei committee, really? And there have a focus and Targets on increasing diversity and Leadership sealed air does Sealed air. Does they set all of these companies? The thing they have in common is they all set Dei policies in 2020, right? Like when George Floyd happened, they all set these policies. So, how Lawton do you think he's showing up to the seal? The sealed air board meetings being like, Oh no, you guys should keep your policy for sure. Like you keep your child, that's a great idea. You know, I don't know because the trend before the Microsoft Story, the trend would be that if the customers were perceived to be in like Magica counties meaning that I guess they perceive them to be racist. That they'd be angry with these policies. So let's get rid of them before the backlash happens. I love Bud Light, but it is there a sealed ear. Cut are customer Community like who Has, who are they? What is a deal there? Like what does industrial gases? Okay, all right. I'll give you another one known racists. How about Ricardo Cardenas? Okay, he's on the tractor supply board, he's also on the Darden Restaurant board. Oh, definitely don't restaurants, are Olive Garden. LongHorn Steakhouse Ruth, Chris's. Another Steakhouse Yard House. Capital Grille. Another state house. Cheddar's scratch kitchen, Bahama Breeze. Making up words, like, what are you doing? Oh, this is for the background. These are restaurants. There's a lot of unwoke steak. Yeah. There's what this is like, a lot of cows, but a Darden. Here's what they put on their website. Quote, we prioritize our inclusion and diversity efforts, not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes us better, they have set Dei targets, they've done all the things I guess the question is how many of these are going to see scrub the next few years, right? Like I don't just do they know. Did you just Alert Darden at that, quote still exists, and now that they're listening, are they gonna get rid of right now? but, The worst one to me was Joy Brown, who is a black woman who took MacKenzie's Academy, black executive leadership program on her like licenses and credentials on LinkedIn. She's also on the Huron Consulting board and Huron has a whole program called. I matter that they have a black Alliance Disability, Advocates latinx group, a Jewish group, a Pan, Asian group. Okay. Veterans group and a woman Joy Brown is on the tractor supply board. She's on the tractor. So supply board. These people I don't know. So look, we don't know if it was like they don't listen to her. Yeah, they didn't they didn't say it was like a unanimous board decision to do, but she might have been into voice. All these directors are attached to other boards that have these polls. He's in place. I mean what so what are you doing? Why are you fighting for this side? I just don't understand. Honestly and by the way just just so we're clear black Farmers. This is a headline black farmers. Not happy. No. After Tractor Supply ditches. Dei efforts that so they're not actually happy. Yeah, they're actually, they're actually trying to get rid of the CEO of Tractor Supply. Yeah, they're trying to get the CEO to step down how Lawton can step down onto the sealed Air Board where you can kill their Dei programs. All right. Asshole there. The answer is the directors at these because you're worried about future asshole. Worry about getting rid of Dei programs to other boards. Is what you're saying basically this is a cascading effect, what we know, all right so the research shows there's a paper about this. What we know is that board behavior is viral. Meaning if you go on one board and say they have financial statement that looks like, it might need to be restated, it's like on and that Gray Zone and they decide not to restate it. We know if there's no repercussion for that meaning, they don't lose their job. The stock market, the stock doesn't tank, the CEO doesn't get fired, all that kind of stuff. Then they are more likely to take that behavior to their next board. You know, next time that situation comes up, they say I saw this before, this is how we dealt with it. There was that's that's the good way to deal with it. You know what I'm thinking there should be some kind of Kyrie Irving effect in these boardrooms meaning that Kyrie Irving is a player that he used to be on the Boston Celtics. See, he said some some stupid things that people in Boston. Don't like every time he comes back to Boston they boo him right? Yeah, that's reciprocally what I think is that when these directors from Tractor Supply, dear when they show up with other boards this should be booed loudly the whole time, right? Why can't we get this going? Oh, that's your point before you were singing another show that they only way to get after the, like, the Facebook board because you can't both him out as shareholders because Mark Zuckerberg controls the voting power, vote them out everywhere. Vote anywhere they sit get rid of them, so I like yes, yeah. This, this may be a call, not a call to Darden to kill their D e, i program because they just realized that that's on the website. But a call to investors to kill the garden board members who you're anti. Yeah. All right. Here's your second asshole. Here's the data point. 77% voted for the 45 billion dollar pay package. Yes, the asshole is as ever. Elon Musk Elon musk's potential 180 million dollar donation to Trump who hates EVS is a stunning risk to Tesla. That's the headline. What's that board meeting gonna be like, they're gonna be on ketamine. There's not a board meeting. There's just people JD Vance also hates EVS, right? That JD Vance actually said, he wants to tax rebates for gas cards instead of EVS. That was the latest from JD Vance every investor and enabler of this colossal asshole is an asshole. Like there's this ridiculous. This childish cutting against Tesla, the you're now you're supporting a person who's actively hurting his own company and alienating his customer base. The headline suggests that Tesla is the only car company who's Evie sales aren't rising in the US, alienated, the like half the US market love that. Well, there were, there were articles this morning actually about how Badly their tanking in California, like they're just getting destroyed. No one in California is buying Tesla. You can't buy. You couldn't drive a Tesla. I saw there. Actually, on the way out of the office in West Hartford. A cyber truck is parked Poorly because it doesn't fit in the garage. It's parked poorly in West Hartford and I immediately thought what a fucking asshole to give it the finger, like you're Starbucks at him. That was gonna I needed to go to a 7-Eleven, to get something and that be, yeah, throw your Danish trash at it. Here's your last data, point asshole. 22% of the voting power is held by insiders plus 14% held by P. Investor, it's 36% making it in control company and a second date of point, 61% of the voting power held by one College Dropout, Microsoft, and crowdstrike, outage cripples flights Banks and markets, and Trump reinstated by meta on Facebook and Instagram in effort to allow political expression. The asshole here. Confused is your outrage. Wait, wait, we are outraged. Well, we're waiting in line for the stupid outage for it outage and we're outraged. If you're a liberal, like, how can met us, say, it's okay for Trump to go back and lie on Facebook and Instagram. Meanwhile, these are controlled companies, you moron. You're outraged is an asshole. So you saying the Kurtz you talk about the customers with the shareholders. I'm talking. No shareholder is outraged by this, they all enable it, right. This is basically for the general public because when you read the story, Trump reinstated by meta, It implies that meta is a thing as a guy named Mark. There's not another thing. It's one guy like, hey, you can come back. Yes, that's exactly how it happened. I tell you, look at the eyeballs, we are being run. Our, our world is now being run by such foolish, man. Like such foolish juvenile, not forget the Elon Musk stuff. Just talk about Mark Zuckerberg for a second within the last week. Trump was threatening to put him in prison and then he reinstates Trump and now today their headlines that he's calling Trump a badass for looking cool after he was shot. I mean, they're just moving out. This is like Middle School at best middle school. I can't honestly believe who were being run by honestly. So this is who we've handed the reins so crazy. So can your outrage and don't allow dual class companies to exist? Break up the monopolies. Do you know, crowd strike has 4% of the market share. It's the largest market share for endpoint security and Mark by himself controls, 75% of the social media Market, as much as they want to say, tiktok is like the biggest thing in the universe. Mark, Zuckerberg owned 75% of users in social media. That's curious. And think about what I said at the top of the show too, is that shareholders are Croucher? Can't even claw back is that they don't even have a say on his pay every year, it's every three years. so, for this horrible, Performance and behavior right now, what's happening, they won't be able to vote on his Paypal package again until 2027. Yeah, that's a well structure paper. That's all right. So those are your three assholes. It is the board members of all the Dei slashing companies. It is every and investor and enabler of musk in his fucking do that every week. You say that. Yeah, I know, but it's like there's so much of it and then your outrage you're outraged. Mine asshole. Yeah. All of dollars more relevant this week. Okay. David, you go first. Yeah. I'm really stuck on the first one actually because I don't think there's enough attention paid to sort of a very. It's a very simple idea. You're laying out here Matt which is like let's let's trace it back to who's actually making these decisions and instead of just being like generically pissed off that Tractor Supply is doing this. Why don't we actually, like focus on the individuals who made this decision, right? So I like this. I mean, no know who the board members are no, where else they are? Maybe preemptively strike, you know. Like don't let them take away their I don't I like that one. If it's not like on it, maybe other companies can go on the just like constantly playing dumb and thinking that like you know it's just a camera people involved that make decisions. It's just, it's just Target. We don't know what Target does. Like it's actually there actually are people involved with making decisions at these companies, believe it or not, So that's a vote for number one, I am going to vote again for the story of the week and the 180 million potential million dollars. Oh 100. You just trying to get the win. That's what you're trying to do. So it's a Thai Chantal, what he got. You know, as much as I want to go for number three because I feel like our outrage is actually outraged at Zuckerberg who like Elon is kind of just sucking up to Trump right now to kind of cover his ass. I feel like I'm going to join Ari a number two because You know, it just asshole move of this week, just possibly the year. Yeah, I mean, I think, I think it needs to be voted for one of our segments, that just, that, that was only a month ago, that, right? That the shareholders approved, giving this more on more money and almost immediately. It's being funneled. That's what he wants. An electric vehicle company is finally his money to a guy who not only is an important misogynistic racist rapist. I mean, I'm sorry, but he's legally a rapist but but he's also anti electric vehicles. I the whole thing makes your head spin, I really it's crazy. That's banana. All right. Well, that's the winner. Let's just shows going into its 11th hour. So let's get into headline. Yes. Before I succession here so I picked three so that Ari could take one of mine. I didn't think I was born Sean, Paul, sorry. So Chantal you can read my three and choose which headline resonates most with You and and go with that, you start. My headline is actually back to Tesla, but a humorous. One Tesla Factory manager tells workers to please please, stop stealing coffee mugs. This isn't it? This isn't Germany. And an eBay or something. We're importantly, despite the fact they have only 12,000 employees. The Tesla plant manager has bought 65,000 copy mugs over the workers. Just, this is action quote from Tesla plant manager, Andre Thierry in Germany, I guess the employees. Just keep walking away with the coffee. Yeah. Leave him on the dangerous streets. well, I got Donald Trump is considering Jamie dimon for treasury secretary after all Love Fest. CEO meeting. Oh you just picked it for Love Fest. I don't like that one. I like Love Fest and I like that you guys talked about Jamie Diamond all the time. I was like oh I know that guy you work at a corporate governance company. It's your look at the data Queen she could be your treasury. I know that guy. Chantal do any resonate with you or do you want to skip this? The first one is pretty crazy. What is it? All right, what's the first one researchers call for child safe AI after Alexa tells little girl to stick penny in wall socket? Yeah, that's not humorous. It's a little humor. Hey, little girl. Just put the penny in the second baby since it's like baby. You won't, it's basically like a cashless Society. Now, maybe, maybe Alexis thinking, she won't be able to find a penny. Oh right, clever clever Alexa. All right. I was split between two then go ahead. I'm gonna give you both of them. First is NASA Praises, Boeing stranded Starliner for managing not to explode. Well, doctor, space station. That's worthwhile praise. That's good. Praise. And the second one is the world's top HR Association Cuts Equity from its Diversity Program. A midi, like, that class that I love that. That's the wrong. That's the most honest thing. These companies could do, they could just say, you know, we we don't, we'll hire anybody, right? Like we don't care about that, that's not been the problem. The problem is you keep asking for equal pay and like a seat at the table. We're not comfortable with that. So just cut the equity from d e, d e and I make it a lower rate. Um, we vote on these, don't we? We don't we don't really have to. This is a made-up game. Know, well that the coffee mugs has to be the car. That's a great. It's the repetition of 65,000 coffee mugs since we started production here, 65,000 statistically speaking. Each of you has five IKEA coffee cups at home. That's amazing. And the recipe. Please in the headlines. What got me. Please please. Stop. All right, let's wrap this up with winners and predictions. Wow. Pretty empty, huh. You have a winner, I have a winner unfortunately. Well, it's either white, Silicon, Valley Tech, bro, in cell type, you know, like the whole okay, don't like that winner. All the people piling into the Trump parade or miles sat her away. Ari's child. That turned one years old yesterday, right? He did, that's a winner. So winning moment. I kept a human alive or one year. Wow. I actually that's worth it. A white Tucker. Yeah, my winner was literally no one actually and I then I wrote maybe miles who turned one but he's got to grow up in this world. So you've kept him alive for the first year. But every other year is looking worse and worse. So not over here. Nobody's won the election yet. You're already density. Know, Gen X was cynical way before gen Z existed. We we cornered that marketing um, Chantal ra, do you have winners know I got a prediction? I don't have to go into the do you know I predict yeah that Damian is going to travel to Copenhagen get addicted to the free stuff and picking up litter. That he will not come back. That is correct. That is not a prediction like a hotel room because that's what you're right. I wouldn't come back. If that were the case. Damian. Who's your, what's your prediction? Well, my prediction is it next week is gonna be better, right? Because I mean it has to be I mean that the conventions of Biden stepping down this weekend. Okay. Well, I just think that, I think that I really got a prediction that's happening. It's weird for me. Okay. He just said campaign Trail is back on. Yeah, unfortunately I just see that headline. I just think it can't get worse. I think this is like the peak worse and again the election hasn't happened yet so stop not do something. Get involved like, you know, like call people, I don't know, don't just complain about the other thing, my prediction is my crowd strike chair Gerhard. What Watson girl, who I referenced earlier is gonna be like, go, he's the sacrificial lamb, they're going to fight him out, nobody's getting like, oh, don't you have any on the spot predictions? No, not right now. No, I don't know. What is your prediction about Biden? What do you think's gonna happen on? Will he stopped? He is going to step down. I'm not sure when, but I think it's gonna happen and will he take my brilliant idea? Which is not only stepped down from running, but he will step down from the presidency, thereby, creating the first female president ever. Thereby making that ensuring, that Trump is running against the current president Kamala Harris. Giving her an incredible amount of juice you think, that'll happen. That's my pipe dream. I'm actually not sure about that happening. I'm more convinced that's going to be someone like wooden jar or nuisance. So okay, Michigan or California involved? I don't like that at all. All right. Well, I'll finish this. Yeah, this epic show with, I'm predicting a future asshole of the week. Okay? The most likely Dei killer combo. is corteva agriscience, which currently has Nine Dei resource groups at the company and goals of inclusion. But also has both Greg Page and Mike johanns of the deer board on their door, right? Get them boys. Oh man. Well I was torn between that and there was a potato company that has Dei stuff. Oh, potato don't do it. That's it. That's our show. Big. Thanks to intern for joining us this week. She may be joining us a couple more times this summer. And that's hazelnut Raleigh. We are free float. We will be back next week with the normal slate of nonsense. That no one wants to hear until then good. Bye.
