FRIDAY WRAP: Norfolk’s half win, Dorsey and the board, batteries in CA, child labor at McDonald’s, and woke vs. not woke food

Transcript

It's Friday. Oh, and we are alive. This is Ari the data Queen joined by analysts whole mattress, cardi, and hazelnut Roland. Yeah, yeah, we're finally back. We're back. Where were we? We were back. We were away. He's let me just tell all the listeners. Yeah, it's not been good. We missed a proxy countdown yesterday. Sorry, we should put in your contract that you have to do. The proxy comes on solo and we're out by myself. Yeah, I should just live stream myself. Trying to write to the something. Now that would be fine. I'd be fine with that. I'm not opposed to that. I would be miserable. Yeah, would be your worst nightmare on today's weekly wrap up. We have story of the week. Yeah. Winners and winners. No, losers and production. Yes, that's right. So you just you just listed the categories. There's no tease. There's no cheese. What in the category we have chapters in our book? Yes. All right. Well, Tammy, what'd you guys started with, yeah? I'm ready. Yeah. Tell us what's going on, let's not hold back. Since I feel like I haven't done anything in a week. I, I hope I get this right because I was in the ER, on Saturday and now I'm doing a show and I don't really know. Did I get these stories right last Saturday, you know, I said last Saturday, I'm just saying, like, I haven't paid attention until last night, so I hope these stories are an accurate, portrayal narrative. Yeah, there we go. Weak narrative, do it trying? I'm trying. Here we go. Right at the top. This what this is a shout out to us kind of activist investor wins three Norfolk Southern board seats but will not have control to fire the CEO. So We're talking about Ankara, right? Ankara that they are the activists investor. They, they put up a huge battle at Norfolk. Southern, they actually basically wanted to hold new board. They wanted all new management. So this feels like a bit of a loss in some ways because who is coming back is CEO Alan Shaw. Yeah, somehow shareholders are okay with him but he was not Yes, but who's not coming back and this is a credit to us because there are two names here that I signaled out. Who's not coming back, our chair. Amy miles, Leah. Nominating committee chair, I believe, Jennifer Scanlon and John Thompson. So they so they did boot three Norfolk Southern directors. So it's a partial thing right women? Yeah they got rid of. Why are we keeping Alan Shaw? What is this? That's the real problem at the altar of the CEO. Yeah. That's that's the real problem. If you wanted to you could have kept Alan Shaw as CEO and booted him from the board, right? Like you could have him, you could have the board, okay? With that and not given in quora enough, which is what our suggestion was, I'm proxy countdown, don't give them enough people to vote to fire him but take him off the board. And now what you're going to get is like still has influence and you have less than a majority of the boards. Yeah. So congratulations. Yes. And what it did. You really? It up and you really should be paying more attention to us. Because what you did is by eliminating, Amy miles and Jennifer Scanlon. Your consolidating full power with the CEO, you're giving him all the power. Well, so it's kind of a weird mixed message there. You know, there'll be some power transfer because the activist one. Right. Like so the activists so, like the Slate? Yeah, some level of power, but it won't be a little bit. Yeah, it won't be a lot. So that's Story. Number one, I don't next big story. Let's stay in kind of our world here. Read it kicks off. Its first ever earnings call in a very Reddit Way by answering questions from users so AMA style or what kind of a okay that that's what I thought, right? Ari that that's that's what the headline is making you believe, right? And I'm referring back here to Friend of the Show. Doug cha he was on a. We did a live stream about something. What was a Disney movie live stream? And we were talking about how it's time 2024. It's time to open up these meetings, stakeholders and shareholders in a different way. Like let's get access. Let's do this. Let's have fun. So, that's what I thought, Ari. But here's the terrible reality and maybe this is the actually, the indication that Reddit is full of shit. It's a dictatorship by CEO Steve Hoffman, right? He has dual class shares. He's a dictator. So any of you who believe that the redditors are still in control of this company are wrong, because he did not take all questions. The company screened, the questions beforehand. Of course they did. Enter the call, and they picked two questions. Two total questions can say answering questions as in Floral. Yeah, yes, exactly. And it makes it, it does make you think that it's a Reddit AMA and the two questions sound like boring analysts. One of them. For example, is, how are your initiatives going in terms of Licensing data? Models. I mean, my husband texted me this morning because his mom's in town joke. Reddit, you've jumped the shark. That's my second story of the week. Third story that we got, this one's for Matt. Oklahoma anti-esg law blocked by state judge. We're a couple of years now into this. This woke wore, this this anti-e issue war, and now we're starting to see unravel, right? This is the first signs. Well, so, it's a temporary injunction because they're waiting to see whether or not like someone filed a lawsuit against it and they're waiting to see whether or not It that lawsuit wins the judge who blocked. It said that they that that lawsuit is likely to succeed, which is one of the reasons why they blocked the law. So I actually almost picked this for as holy ass because like not three days or two days before this story broke. Oklahoma, actually added Barkley's. It's divestment list and there was there was a question of whether or not the Oklahoma list is. They can't work with BlackRock State Street Bank of America, JP Morgan Wells, Fargo now Barkley's and then something called like climate first climate bank or something like that. So obviously first climate Bank wasn't going to be on that but yeah, let's get rid of that, they picked. He basically just said we can only work with City, that's the only Bank we can work with anywhere and and I don't like and now they're like, confused that that all their rates are going up costing. Like of course, they are. You idiots? That's the third straight fourth or the week. This is another classic one for free flow analytics. Here's the headline. Jack Dorsey said Twitter's board has always been a problem. What he and that he plotted his exit from The Firm because of its activist investor listen to these quotes. I was Chow. I was extremely challenged by my board oh but the board has always been a problem with that company and I was happy to see it and there was only one way for it to end which is going private. And then he said that he didn't want to be on the board with an activist. He's referring to Elliott management and that's for, let's not forget Elliott management was there because they were rightfully pissed off that he was the CEO of two S&P 500 companies at the same time, which is absolutely ludicrous. He says twice as good as everybody else. Yes, exactly are. So, he was the CEO of square and Twitter and he said, I don't want to run a company like that, it's not creative, it's diminishing. Oh, but how about the attitude, though? From the Dual class? Share owning dictators tech companies. These tech companies. CEOs, who are angry at the boards for pushing back for doing their jobs. I mean, that he is that he admit his Outlaw. He's admitted right. He's She's absolutely admitting the game full transparency from Jack Dorsey, what? David's Idol? Yeah. What a tools X Idol know. I do think Elliot, I don't know how much you know about other companies but there is a company that lost 40% in its share price this year, whose CEO is currently the CEO of five separate companies. Yeah, you might take a look and say well this that applied over here, does it all so apply over there because in their last earnings call Elon Musk said. If you're valuing Tesla as a car company, you're fundamentally valuing, it wrong. You're misunderstanding. It, we're in AI company that's like while he raises money for another AI. I don't know if he knows that they sell cars, like, I don't, that's not the main product for you. If you were call cars, at least South Korea and California, but still cars, right? Like that's those car chargers that we were so going, 100% of their money comes from cars and chargers and we fired their Chargers team. So now it's just the car. You're in a weird tangent but can I bring it back to the story? Matt? Is that speaking of you, one of the reasons why Jack Dorsey was angry, it was that he tried twice to bring Elon Musk onto the board of Twitter and the board said no. Angry that the board is doing its job. It really the audacity of this. I just love the heat, he's telling us the game, he is admitting the game that the board is there to protect the CEO to do it a bidding of the CEO, right? And if they don't they're gonna throw a Sam Altman like fit, right? I mean that this is It's craziness this is why all you people who are listening who actually have power over the universe. Let's get rid of dew, clutcher companies and let's, you know what? And let's take it a step for, let's get rid of CEOs on the board there. Yeah, because it's not just, it's not dual classes, a problem in in and of itself. But Dorsey was on a one share, one vote company and he's unlike the, the game here. And this is what must feel, right. Twitter was was one year, one vote. Yeah, Twitter was one share, one vote. That's why was the only one who was right for a tape takeover by anybody because no one else could take any of the others over like Disney in a sense. So it's like, It's basically what he's saying is we should have been dual class and then I would have picked the board and fire shoulder and I threw a fit. I'm not a dictator and now elon's throwing the same fit and saying I need to become a dictator or I'm leaving I was so here's what I swear and here's what happened, he threw a fit the company lost all its value, it fired, thousands of loyal employees and the Nazis are back like that's the outcome of Jack Dorsey throwing his fit. I'm just wondering, is there a single? Can we think of a single like male CEO? Doesn't throw big fits? Like, I can't think of a female. Maybe a yoga, someone who runs like a Greek Yogurt Company. All right. So these are four stories, they are Norfolk. Southern sort of lost, sort of win reddit's not very like fake AMA, earnings call. Oklahoma's anti-esg law is blocked and Dorsey, throws a big diaper fit. These are really good. Yeah thanks. I like this a lot. Good luck, good luck. Voting story of the week. Well I think I know what I'm going to choose. These are more. Esoteric know? I'm never wrong. Probably wrong. The answer is Jack Dorsey. That's the answer. Why tell me why is that the story of the week? Because look, the We're talking about the culmination. The it he's admitting, yes. What investors know to be true and don't care about what the market knows. To be true. And doesn't care about and what every CEO thinks their right is and don't say, right? He's saying it. Why are data is important? I feel like deep down, he's he's saying effectively, the only one, the only voice that should matter is mine, the CEO because he telling investors, you chose the board, they're fucking annoying. They're keeping me from like doing what I want and and what I want is the most and what I'm what I'm what I want and I know what's best. And that attitude is the one that the board is specifically supposed to be there to put defense and he's saying out loud. The quiet stuff in a way that if any investor was reading that and connected the dots, And looked at every other board that they elect at a 96% for rate, an investor should be saying, well ship man, how many Jack dorsey's are in my portfolio who are pissed at their boards for doing their job because I don't want a single one of those CEOs have too much power. And the only measure it is with us influence, it has to be a vast majority. I'm thinking at this point so I mean it has to be I think you're right. I think he does support. I think this is just supportive of our company. I think two of these stories really are great support of our company. Okay, well, you know, I I go with Norfolk Southern. Oh, that was my exactly what you me. It wasn't gonna be the other one side, the different, okay? Because I do think it's a big issue, I think? Yeah, just half win. It's not that it's a win or not. I think it's a big deal. And I think that like different from the Jack Dorsey story, Board members don't matter. That's that's what I got from the Busters. So There it is. It's a more. It's certainly a more timely story, right? It's of the week. And Matt, wouldn't you say that the voting out miles and Scanlon is a bit of a victory for us? I feel like I'm gonna take maybe 95% credit for that. Um, yes, Damien please do well, not well, not full pick. Look I think. Alan Shaw is thinking what Jack Dorsey just said like Alan Shaw's, definitely think it would. Vote for a diaper baby. So I'm gonna agree with uh sorry that. Yeah. Wow. Breaking press Southern we've been talking about them for far too long so I'm putting a bow on that. That's the story. Well, this means and coming fresh from my way to bring you. It's not we're not competing. We are the win. Always up the week. All right. We're gonna start with a really good one. FTX customers are getting back all the money they lost. Oh customers. So they can buy more Teslas. There are some people in our society are trying to catch up with wealth, AKA black people. Yeah. They are a big part of this exchange that the they lost a lot of money. Like To their net worth, you know what I mean? Yeah, we did. We have proof of this there are. There were survey linking. Yeah, black ownership. There were surveys, done that suggests that the biggest, the biggest betters on crypto at the height of the crypto, craze were people of color and lower income. They was lottery tickets. So, but he talking about their money like 9%, right? Wait, are you talking about the percentage of the volume or you talk about the actual like percentage of purchasers of token of of crypto, you know, tokens and we talked about like 10 dollars, you talk about significant but either way as a percentage of their of their Network, it's significant. It wasn't like look, really. Oh and like, you know, Ken Griffin aren't betting on crypto on you know FTX exchange. Those guys get their money back, they know like that's right. That's better stories though. Well my second was about batteries, so All right, all right, I'm ready. Batteries are taking on gas plants to power California's Knights. This is a big deal this really is because it's been years in the making for California, which should I remind you, it's bigger than most countries. Yeah Canada that's for sure. California's record 10 gigawatt of grid, batteries are finally pushing solar generation into post. Sunset hours is the quote from the headline basically. California has all the solar, right? And the biggest drawback is that solar doesn't work. When there's no sun and they are testing out this these batteries that they can potentially Supply all the energy. The California needs after the sun goes down through the night. Okay, so so we don't know what they're working yet. It has been shown that it works in the month of April. So the first time in the month of April, the first time they have proved that it actually works and it's happening and they have to see this through the other months. Now, when the summer comes, the energy, demand goes up because of air conditioning and stuff. Oh, shoot your air conditioner, open your windows. however, here the sun's also out way longer so I think I like this. Sorry, what? I'm surprised, I'm sorry. You know what? Because I'm relying. You know what? Because going into the future, I'm in relying on California, in Massachusetts like God, our country through this madness. So maybe I like this one. I agreed and my third headline. It will speak for itself. You don't need any details. At now, we'll cover for fertility, treatments for lgbtq people under Court settlement. They, they weren't before. Correct. And now they will, this is great. They weren't covering for children for for lgbtq. Are you surprised? I I guess I'm I guess I'm stupid to be surprised, right? Yeah. Okay. I mean, I don't understand National reason. Do you have not to cover your people under your plan? If you go in, if you want to have a baby you need fertility treatments. Right? Like I do, they ask you are you having this baby? Like with the same sex partner? Yeah. Therefore, you're not allowed to like but what if you're single right? Like you just want to, that's what's crazy about it. They literally had it so that you couldn't do that. Yeah. Whenever single Yeah. FYI insurance doesn't cover this because it's I didn't know fertility like infertility. So if you realize that yes. But what if your personality baguettes infertility? Because no one wants to be with you. Excellent question. Is that a medical condition? That is probably is. Yeah, those are your three options, FTX customers. Get it all back. You were always allowed to do the thing but now they're gonna cover for it and I think. Wow, are. I don't know how I feel about that. I feel sad and happy. FTX customers are getting back. All their money. Batteries are winning in California, nights and Aetna. Will finally cover fertility treatments? I know, btq people, I think this was quick. Yeah, I'm just going batteries, yeah, I'm going batteries too. Although I'm on the fence about FTX customers, getting their money back because getting it back with interest how many bankruptcies happen I guess we just don't care about people's rights. Well, mostly like I'm the only thing that makes me torn about FTX is they were betting on stupid, fake money to begin with, right? Like yeah, I want to see more data about that, but who these customers it's like, beanie babies. Like, you know, like Beanie Babies buyers make money back after being babies. Collapse could be the headlines are great. Grandchildren. Well, maybe it's a little stupid. What I'm worried about is that 90% of the customers are, yeah, like, like black or poor people, but but 90% of the well, they're like four guys from Palm Beach. That's probably got their money back. Down. Thank God. I was right. How often does that happen though? Like, I don't know. Leave me alone. I don't know. We have for us. We're on to something else. That's something else is me. It's, you know, oh, are you sticking with your own format? I like this format. Okay. Yes, here's the data. 2300 child labor, law violations since 2013 202300. Yeah, that's a 10-year span that's if you're doing math. Oh, one a day, write 15, child, labor law, violations. Per 100 stores. Here's your headline, McDonald's, shareholders demand company, tackle child, labor problems, why isn't McDonald's? Why McDonald's do we know. So it's happening at McDonald's, this much because this is the same campaign that shareholders ran last year, these shareholders have a couple, you know, billion dollars in assets at their that they're going are I think two trillion in total assets and a couple billion of shares, but this is how McDonald's answer their, their lead independent director answered last year. They said, oh, I can't do the live track actually that we, they wanted to, they are concerned about it all. So the board is concerned about this, but they are highlighting that these incidents took place at franchise locations. Not corporate owned stores, is that an important distinction? So, the owner of the corporate owned stores is McDonald's, the franchise locations. They're technically not the owner, they just Okay, all the stuff. So, but the, but the, but the corporation benefits from those locations, of course, they do benefit from childhood, that's the joke. It's kind of like, well, I mean, like we can't do anything about like, you know, like Gary over there, who's hiring all the children like it's that's there is that like, is that like, Duncan saying like, yeah, the glazed donuts are killing people, but not the plane, does it know? It's more, like, it's more. Like, if people only got into crashes and hurts rental cars and her, they were like, well, it's all the people who rent the cars that are doing the crashes, it's not the cars. Because, you know, corporate is really strict about like how a store. Looks what things are sure, if they go in audit the shit, but they don't care who's Jersey the food. They don't care who works in the back. You only have insane. They're like, It's like guys, we have like so many restaurants who could keep track of it all. It's just it's Madness. So this letter was written to Mi white the incoming lead, independent director, one of our favorites miles away is affect our renamed her child after this. Yes, that's true. 100%. I mean, to be fair, that is. That is factually, true. Yeah, that's true. Named after our favorite directors. My next kid is going to be dobberstein mascardi. It could be worse miles away. Just according to our data. If you go to free flow, analytics.com and sign in for free miles away, is controversies batting averages, 105, the incoming lead in directors, all the other boards, actually, I would guess. Lower horrible for controversies. They always do bad stuff, but here's the real asshole. The average board member for vote at McDonald's in 2023, when the first letter was written 96.8%. So those investors that are writing a letter to McDonald's about child labor problems, They still voted for every single director at McDonald's. What are you doing? Is this a problem? Is it not a problem? Are they, are they just doing what iss tells him to do? You wrote the letter to the board? Because you're concerned about something and immediately do nothing about it with your vote. You actually can remove the board do that. It's not congruent. You know, they see is the theme of asshole is listening. Can I say like I don't have the data to prove this feeling but one of the byproducts that Bothers me. The most from the anti ESG movement is that you're finding a lot of investors just saying, you know, we're going to just vote for management. Now on especially against stock shareholder proposals, especially voting with the boards because they don't want to appear to be two pro at ESG right to to show. It's almost getting worse. I feel like I I except for a select. Few share the proposals, like, simple majority votes. I just feel like most investors don't want to, they don't want to have the appearance of caring about anything that runs against the corporation anymore. I, I don't care why they're petrified, but you're idiots for being petrified you, I agree, fucking shares. I agree with what you want with it, and no one. No one can stop you from doing but I will make you a shareholder but I do suspect. This is one of the lasting effects of the anti itchy movement is the investors more than ever. Don't want to appear like they have any opinion about anything. I mean yeah, good for good for them. I suppose. Um it's a standard assshole for me, the investors of the ass holes miles white. Um, all right, here's the data. For number two, It's just one data point, minus 4.3%, same store, sales drop in the second quarter of 2023 is all it took to get this headline, just minus 4% sales, drop 4%, not talking about first, it's a lot, but it's, it's a one quarter sales job. Okay? One, one quarter headline is Target to pull lgbtq themed items from some stores during pride month. Wow. How did they determine which stores? Those are. That's the right, they will only offer the products, lgbtq themed products, quote curated based on guest, insights and consumer research, is basically looking to see where do people hate gays, the most that's terrible. Pull it off the shelves there. That's pretty dark. Matt really. I mean, that's really dark. Yeah, but time out wasn't Target. Didn't they like stand behind? Or whatever not so much you know they talked about their mouths, I think. Well what they what they were worried about last year and rightfully so is that their actual staff was accosted threatened like verbally assaulted? Because they were like as if you know, Mary who's behind checking out behind the counter, he's anything to do with putting the, you know, choosing what goes on the Shelf. Would you say that this is good then? Well, know what, I think this is is why is Target cowering, either, do the thing or don't do the thing. Because now, what you've got is Blue State products and red state products, which I'm sure they already do that. Like, how many people in blue states are buying Hawaiian Punch compared to read State? Excuse me, excuse me. Yeah crackers. This morning he's been a blue state for decades. I said I know but I'm assuming All Hawaiian punches manufactured in the beautiful state of Hawaii. All I know is that everyone's fucking cowering at the anti, it's not right. And we got to stop calling it, the anti, or anti woke Movement. We need to call it the anti-gay movement, or the anti-black movement or the anti-woman. That's just all it is. It's just you anti-woke is a euphemism for all those things anyway and we all know it. But the problem is Target who's board is one of the most diverse has the fewest power gaps, right? Lower power gaps, positive power gaps for women and people of color on its board somehow is cowering in the face of a 4%. So quarter drop in sales, I'm of two minds. I either want to I either want to buy everything I can possibly find this lgbtq themed from Target or I want with it. I want to write a letter to their board being like I mean when you say curated based on guests insights and consumer research. Say what you mean? Which is we want to find where people hate other people and we're just sell it there, right? I mean, just save that say that don't bulshit me with curated based on just I agree with. Yeah, we operate in homophobic community and therefore we will not have we won't sell gay products and homophones that we don't even need to sell in the first place. I have a good solution for this problem. We, we buy in the blue States, we buy all the, The Pride merchandise, helping the same ship is the sales for those, right? And we send it all to Oklahoma. And they can sell back the merchandise, like to pawn shops, to raise money, for all the money, they're losing their people. If you're listening to the show, that's called the circular economy, that's called So, get ready. Oklahoma for all the gay stuff. All right, so, number two, assholes, Target your third here are the more points. This is the last one. These are quotes. These are all quotes from a report, okay? A mission's must peak in 2025 and reduced by 43% by 2030. The merits of the case are fully accepted. The, in fact, the arguments that are being made are stronger than in 2023. And that scope 3 targets, carbon targets that include scope 3 targets. Are not currently part of companies strategy. In fact, or the proposal might imply, the board must review the Strategic Direction, here's the headline. ISS, voting recommendation at Shell contradicts, its own analysis. Okay? So just because I'm a little behind here because I'm a verify more on. So you're saying that the first things that you read were all part of their assessment. All part of the issa's, assessment of the shell shareholder. Proposal, that was submitted by follow this. It's resolution number 23, for those of you counting. Yeah, the resolution says shareholders support the company by an Advisory Board of vote to align its medium term emissions, reductions targets to Paris including scope three to the Paris climate agreement. That's the short of it, okay? ISS wrote a report agreeing with the entirety of the Merit of follow, this is proposal. They agreed. With everything. And then the logic the science science. And at the very end, they wrote given quote uncertainty and quote in the impact of the resolution, we suggest you vote against it. They agreed with that. What about the uncertainty aligned with voting against it? What about that? Yeah, we're being this. But there's uncertainty on both with a positive vote, and a negative vote, issuing iss's stuff. Like, ISS, what iss? Where is there? Certainty in the universe, where, but I want to know. What, if you're everybody, everybody's buying ice, that's everybody. Like the only reason the what this admits like Jack Dorsey, saying the quiet part out loud. What this is admits is iss's job is just like when I when I worked as a stockbroker like a financial advisor, which is basically just selling shit. My boss told me that I needed to have a story. Why you everyone, I call shouldn't buy. I should buy IBM because it's the greatest company in the world and why they shouldn't buy IBM because it's the worst company to buy the worst stock to buy. That's all this is. This is the same. Exact thing is this goes out to the market and says whatever you vote. You're right because you're voting it and we will give you a reason to vote against and a reason to vote for That's called not advice. That's called nothing you reiterating the problem hundreds of thousands of dollars with ISS to get nothing. Again, I'm gonna put a play out to our listener. Doug, or Dave, or Ed, whoever you are Julie. I don't even know what's her listener's name? Do we know I cigarette? I think they're in Finland. If you have any buying power and you're already, you're buying the services of ISS call us. We will put together a voting plan for you Basin. Our data that will wildly save you money. I'm gonna promise you right now guarantee we're gonna save you a lot of money. We will put together we'll get our data. Queen on it, we'll get Jesse the money Whisperer back. We'll create a plan of recording recommendation plan and we're going to save you a lot of money. So follow this. I know you follow us and you're listening to the show, give us a call. We will give you the data to back up. I mean you don't even need the date, is this agreement but we'll give you the data just in case you know? Like so those are your three options. You three options are the asshole McDonald's shareholders, writing letters to the board about Labor problems. Without you to be. Clear to be clear. You're mad. You're not mad at Miles Away. You're not mad at the management who, let's not policies shareholders. Okay, it's the people complaining without voting, right? You can vote Target, Clear? Yeah. Target polling lgbtq just say what you mean which is not curated based on guests, insights and consumer research. We will no longer sell gay items in homophobic States. Just say that. Just say that and ISS who literally talks out of both sides if it's mouths and somehow some people still buy it. I don't fucking get. I'm so excited. Yeah. Are you go? I'm not voting for Target because Target can do no wrong my eyes. Oh, no, it's there. Is it the closest department store to your house? Yeah. What is it called? Big Box store. It's a big box. Big box truck. Excuse me. I'm old. Give me a break. Like Nordstroms, you know? Anyway, not voting for that. I love the McDonald's thing. I cannot believe that they will write these letters but not vote against anyone. Yeah, you love child, labor. Okay, that's your vote. And the fact that corporate is like, yeah, child labor, what? It's not us. We can't do anything about it. Yeah. The quality of what it looks like the quality of the ketchup. Yeah, that's us. We control that. We we audit them the catch up. Our can you be real? Yeah, I'm going guys as an asshole. Oh you're not going to McDonald's. Wow, I like that. Oh whoa, I assess but Matt I mean This could turn into the ISS as an asshole, show because voting work recognition to come out. Basically weekly. We could just vote for ISO every week. I know Skip your category, right? Because they are, they agree. And follow a logic only They regularly pull it really have no point of view. They when they wanted pelts on the board, it was, we think he might be a good addition to this board and vote against this person because we feel that there is a probability, that they're not useful on the board. I mean, like they don't, they don't think that's but they recommended pellets. But not even the other directors of the pellets wanted to bring. Yeah, they said none of it makes sense and there was no analysis. There's no, like, there's no you and that's the difference. This is analysis. They did the analysis where they said, like I'm gonna I'm gonna vote for is I just, like I said, being the ass. I was just going for, I love the stories. I love the like. First of all, I love the the joke that is leading independent director miles away. I'm already laughing. Because this, I mean, he's independent, at that company, is just funny to me. And I just, I Love the the constant shareholder, anger. And then they're just, they, they refuse to vote against directors because I don't want to hurt people. I don't know why. I don't know why. I mean that's basically like the summary of our company but I like to say the ISS an asshole so I'll just agree with Ari no sleep. All right. I'm right. That brings us to something else. You headlining. Is another cat game. I can win. I have a game. Yes, you have a game built into the game. Oh boy. All right. I'm gonna start I think. Well, maybe you and Damien are gonna face off. Oh yeah. In fact, I'm gonna give you a little bit of game show music for underneath this game. What a treat. What a Friday treat. It's a Friday Friday. Right, here we go. I'm gonna make it like Eerie game show. Oh would you want Happy music? Yeah, let's make it happy music. Here. Okay. Ready? Yeah. The headline is a definitive list of woke and non woke Foods coming out of the New Zealand Herald because whose list. So this is the reporters. This is their list is their termination, did he die? Because an MP in New Zealand decided that certain foods being served in school cafeterias were well and that they were no longer going to serve the woke up. Is this kind? Oh man are we like is this close to the Ron DeSantis crap in Florida where he's Banning cultivated meat like lab culture. I don't know what yet but all I know is that the list is Fabulous. Okay. So you have to guess woke or not this food served to Children. Remember, I'm ready. Let's start with a banana woke or not. Not That can't be woke, right? It's been around forever. You are both correct. That's not woke. All right. I'm just a level setting. Here we go. Beans not. Whoa. No it's woke because it's a it's a protein. It's a meat replacement because they're loaded with proteins. Correct. It is right. I'm gonna throw you a curveball baked beans, not not, because it's like old-fashioned like right American. Oh, what's amazing about this is that you have no, you haven't read this but you know, immediately which food it would be considered. Whoa, trick here like a trickier right quinoa? Well, stop for sure. Come on. All right. It's Super Bowl, right? Yeah. Quinn. Noah. Wait, what? Not? The same, it's not the same. Are you just mispronouncing? Are you making a sound like, native? New Zealand know? What are you doing? Oh, is how it's supposed to be pronounced. Yeah, if you say it quinoa, is it Wok or not? This is a target versus Hershey. What is it? I mean, I guess I guess mispronouncing. Anything is not woke. Yeah, it is still woke but it's less woke. That is according to the article, it's still woke. Wait, no, that's really good. Yeah, that's what we're doing that. We're doing. There's a culture. I love the quinoa was straight up woke. There's no question, quinoa. If you're saying it wrong. It's a little less woke. It's still woke up by it but it's less woke. Terrible potato chips, salted or salt and vinegar. Not whoa that's correct. Potato chips. Any other flavor than salted or salt and vinegar especially the delicious Kettle? Cook that if it's delicious it is woke. I don't know I'm saying not what it is woke. It is woke me. Any other flavor. Now this is New Zealand, so they added in chicken flavor as not woke because that's the thing in New Zealand, but in any other flavors, I'm not sure. They have, like, ketchup chips and Dill chips and barbecue and sour cream. I don't know what they've got. Matt, what I have learned is that, if anyone, any good, meaning person comes along based on their education, try to make anything any product better. That's what it's a step too far. If you take if you make it healthier, if you make it more delicious, it's whoa. They did give some math at the bottom of the article that explains like how to quickly identify what's wok and what's not. But here's another one. There's only a couple more plant-based jerky. Well, that's obvious, it's obvious. It is not well. What New Zealand because you're in New Zealand. So it's like you know you take a key and you crush it and you dry it. That's not woke. You're just oh I was thinking of like meat replacement. Now. That's right. That's how they're throwing you off. These are like fruit jerky. Definitely not woke your out in the wilderness. I never heard the fruit called jerky, okay. But Yeti Not woke. It can't be world. It is well. And then the next one gives it away. Canned spaghetti. Oh, never will. Never right. So if you eat the spaghetti by taking spaghetti, stop it. Boiling it and putting sauce on it. That's Whoa, stop I'm just okay I'm serious basil pesto with meat in the dish, not all this no but the meat is not woke but the basil pesto sounds not. I'm conflicted on this. I'm gonna say whoa, it is not put meat in anything. It turns it even if it's like farm-raised land. It's and you love the idiots. One salad made with iceberg lettuce. Okay. This salad is woke but Iceberg just like the meat makes everything not woke, that's my guess, but maybe they don't like Iceberg, maybe Iceberg. So I think Iceberg has no nutritional value Waters. That's not woke. I'm gonna say. Whoa. It is. Oh wait, let's do this for the end. Not well, come on. It's kind of woke but it's not woke. Yes, they said the word salad is woke but iceberg is not so exactly what I said, that's it, so that's it. That's my headline. Yeah, that's my game show. I like that game. That's fun. Thank you. New Zealand, Herald great article, great. I mean, like, I believe the time I think a great ways to think they were like 100 items on their list. It was really good. All right. Damien, you got something. Yeah. So the competition for headline is is only two, I guess we can conclude Matt's headline, a definitive list of woken on woke up. I mean, that itself is just stupid right now. My headline is very nerdy free full analytics. Here's the headline does beckton Dickinson and companies, CEO pay. So, we're now at the point where like does it even do we even care? He care about anything. Yeah. Oh man. Okay. Journalists are having a moment. My headline for headlines of the week is, SPF has a new currency to trade in prison, rice? Oh, is he actually trading rice? Did you read the article around rice? White rice. Gotta be white. That's that's dead. Dead giveaway, Ari? This is another good example. Because why enriched rice process would definitely be not woke and brown rice, definitely woke, right? I don't know if well rice, pilaf is Right white, rice mixed with some healthy. Rice is not feels very like Middle Eastern but it's not. Yeah it is packed with sodium so it's not so I got as a New Zealand Herald, those are three definitive list of walking on woke Foods. Beck does spectacular Company, CEO pay matter? And yeah, right. Yeah. I'm definitely going back to Dickinson. That's what I'm With. Yeah. I mean, yeah, because I got I mean, what is alarm? Stupid fucking head? What have we come to? Yeah. All right. That means we're on to Winners and predictions and we're done with the show, which feels like it's been going on for six hours but it's only been going on for 45. All right. Winner is who won the week? You guys. I have a quick One, so Southern CEO Alan Shaw. I don't know. We survive this. I don't know why he survived this because voting him off the board is not remove his title of CEO. You're not firing him from an executive position. I don't know how he's, I don't know how he skates through this. I don't know why as Ari was was smart to point out. I don't know why you target too powerful women but you don't Target the guy. I don't get it but he's the winner. Well, I totally agree. That was all my winner. Oh, mostly because it means that the Ankara winners without the majority will have less influence on the board actually make change and without Amy miles Alan Shaw will gain influence. So you have a CEO, it was an hour to tell the Ankara slate. He doesn't care about what they think. That's, it's hard to pick anybody else for winter of the week. That's not Alan Shaw CEO of notebooks Southern oh prediction. Well I almost went with I almost went with SBF. Why because why is customers got all their money? Delicious know if they got all their money back. He's gonna be like SPF is like what the f people? Why am I in jail? I told you. So like doesn't it kind of a winner? Ellen Show. No. Okay predictions right? Matt you might be right? Yeah, go ahead based on this headline. Howard Schultz is giving his successor at Starbucks advice on LinkedIn. Oh, shut up hours. The NeverEnding, Boomerang know, exists. For Howard Schultz. A different take on that headline. Are there headline is? Howard. Schultz is backseat driving Starbucks. Wow. So he's already so I mean every backseat driver wants you to pull over to, they can drive And everybody's annoying as hell. My prediction is a giant. Matt somehow alluded to this earlier in the show. He equated a diaper with Jack Dorsey so but that's my prediction. A giant diaper falls on Jack, dorsey's head. That's just very simple prediction. I don't know what it means. I don't know if he gets her, I don't know what happened, but it's gonna a giant One's Gonna Fall Right on his head. I read this one. This is apropos of nothing, but I read it and I thought I'm gonna do it anyway as a prediction. This headline was lonely teens or making quote-unquote friends with ai's? That's their lonely because they're talking to the AI instead of real people but they're making friends with them. I predict where 24 months away from the first legal marriage to AI in the United States. 24 months. Okay. Matt, let me ask you this. Will at give benefits to people who marry AI looking for fertility benefits, will now be available to them by court order. Only though, not unless the unless the AI is gay and investors will 46%, four vote the marriage. So everybody wins. All right, now that's the show, that's the queen, I am already, we are free float, go to free, float analytics.com, sign up for free, get all bunch of the day that we talked about today, but you can also reach out to us because we can actually anti ISS your recommendations.
