WOKE WEDNESDAY: The 2023 Anti-Woke Awards Show

Transcript

You should probably introduce this. Oh this is business fans. Live from an ESG shaped Christmas tree, it's the ESG Industries, only weakly work data podcast, featuring analyst home at Scotty. and today is ESG flavored egg roll called December 20th, 2023. I didn't realize it was that. One, Matt. Woke Awards. Now, our show today is being sponsored by free flow analytics. The only ESG data platform to measure. Real bored influence and diversity power gaps and much more honestly, but that's just a lot of there's a lot. I actually use it a lot for every show. That we create for all of our pre-production. I'm constantly on the platform getting data about different directors and companies That's interesting. Let's get to it anti-walk Awards. Let's get to it. Let's do this. It is the anti. Yeah, that no one asked for and everyone wants. Actually that's your first lie. I think I asked for it. Did I know I think you did actually, you specifically asked, all right, first up. Are you ready? So the way this award show works is you are judging I will basically say whether or not you're correct, but you are judging and then we will handle the award, too. I have options. These casualties. You have Oscars. Okay, I'm just like the Oscars. I am going to announce the nominees for each category, and you are going to select the winner. And unlike the Oscars, I I haven't like, seen those movies. I've actually, I think I know I've seen these movies, you're gonna know every single one of these movies, or in this case nominees, you know, we covered them all year. This is from our vault, do it and our volt is large. Here's the first category, the anti-woke company of the Year, okay? You can judge this, however, you want to judge this anti company of the Year. Wow, anti woke company of the Year, okay, The first nominee for Antioch company in the year. Svb. Silicon Valley Bank and I will come to the New York, okay? Because of this, here's the quote, from Arizona representative Andy, Biggs, I'm not saying 12 white men would have avoided this mess, but the company may have been distracted by diversity. Demand a word and everybody blamed them and they were an anti. They were one of the companies, the anti-walk really loved to hold up as an example. Why diversity as horrible, okay? Right? And any big size, I know he's Most well known for going after Hunter Biden. That's who in The Bigs is. Yeah, of course, who hasn't really number two nominee and this is an obvious one. It's just analyzer Bush and Bud Light, okay, but they're there. Okay, I'm trying to figure this out though. The are there the anti-wolf company? Okay, I'm trying to figure that I keep going. It's basically favorite companies of the ante in and I woke news. Sure, sure, the anti-walk don't hold up companies as good. They only tell you what terrible, right? Like The number three, option is Chick-fil-A. Who mentioned already Chick-fil-A. Here's the headline that I pulled Chick-fil-A Sparks anti-walk outrage for VP of diversity equity and inclusion post. Yeah, this is so Fox News. Wondered if they jumped the shark with the anti-walk movement that we're going after, one of our most beloved Christian companies. That's what I'm saying. But they what happened was on Twitter, people realized that there was a Dei person at Chick-fil-A that was hired two years earlier and all of the sudden they were Target for boycotting and they're still a photographer, boy boycotting. I'm not sure it's hurt Chick-fil-A at all. And then finally Norfolk Southern For this quote, okay. I want to remind you quote after seeing another Norfolk Southern Train, derailed this weekend. That was the second train after the big Ohio crash. I was reminded of the fact that the company wrote to shareholders stating that it focused on Dei from representative Collins on the house floor, the administer. This administration's focus on Dei is forcing private companies to rethink their goals. And one has to wonder, was Norfolk Southern's Dei policies. Directing resources away from the important things like greasing wheel bearings. Now, this Insanity must stop. I like, I mean there's a lot to like here. I mean, first of all, I had a round of applause to the Biden Administration that they were, they they're so fast and ruthless with with their focus on Dei that they transformed the Norfolk Southern Culture like in what six months because, well, look bid. Came in. Yeah, Norfolk Southern stopped greasing the almost immediately. Right? I mean, we stopped. Yeah. And it took three, two, three years. Yeah, for the train to fall off the track because it wasn't greased properly. Yeah, that's pretty incredible. I mean, I, yeah, if the Biden admission is that strong, that I think we owe them a lot of credit. That's pretty powerful, I think it's pretty good thing. I like here is that it's not, it's not a private company, it's a public company. Um, it is a public company and I will company then so no disease. I was expecting Disney here. Yeah, yeah, you know what? Disney was very 2022 there, but this is he makes another okay later, but it's worth saying about Norfolk Southern their head of the Safety Committee on the board. Yes, I remember was was first of all, not actually a safety expert. Until the year, before he was made the head of the safety that we were trying to say, he knows nothing about safety, he knew. Yeah, I think that's the way to say it. His name is Michael Lockhart and let's not forget that shareholders. Didn't seem to care about any of this. All the directors read, he got elected. He got Five percent yeah 86% vote this year. Something that trained you round some slip? Something bad happened at Norfolk Southern but it had nothing to do clearly with the named executive officers or the directors or the director who actually oversized that. So those are options svb Anheuser Busch slash Bud Light Chick-fil-A in Norfolk Southern I'll just make this quick, although that quote about svb is gold. It's fantastic. But I think it's just has to be. And he's not saying that 12. White men would have not saying that's what I can't not. So, I can't vote for that one. This one, just has to be in, has her Bush. I think it's just because I am Firestorm, it's hard to avoid that one. For me, as an addendum to that, I do know that kid rock is back in the news this last week. Saying like can we end this boycott against Bud Light? He's, he's all so nice of him. All right, next award. This category actually is right up our wheelhouse, and I think I missed some, but I'm gonna read off what I got here. The anti-wolf shareholder proposal of the Year. Oh, okay, it's exciting. Okay, your first option is a Cheryl, The Proposal file that Marriott. It was a resolution requesting that the company published a congruence report of Partnerships with globalist organizations. It was our first mention of globalists. Yeah. He was hoping for elitist, but globalist works. Now, this was a globalist filed by the national Center for Public Policy research and cppr, okay? And one of the things they put in it was quote that one of the reasons why they wanted this report, they listed how Marriott like worked with the world economic Forum in the past and work with the Rockefeller Foundation, which is a globalist organization. But also because quote passed Bilderberg meetings have been held inside Marriott Hotels. Oh, that was that was what Bill de Burgh is a an off. The Record Forum that actually meets between some like European and American Illuminati. It's been happening since the 50s. Oh, I thought he said build a bear. So you saying build no, no, no build a bird. That's number one. Number two, To Microsoft which had the gender-based compensation report filed by the national legal and policy Center. That included this amazing hideous line about women who quote choose not to abort pre-born babies and quote and how they get paid less because they don't because they don't get the benefit to abort. Their they are not getting benefits compared to the baby boarding people. But and so roles that in with trans people, get more health benefits and so such and such it's weird that they think of you get paid more because you get a benefit for medical procedure. Well, total compensation. Is that we're saying the problem? Yes, the problem. But the problem here is, by this logic. If you are obese, you, you are. Also paid more if you are like basically if you have any health need what about all you get paid more. What about men who choose not to curtail their pre-smoked? Cigarettes? oh, here more. When they get lung cancer treatment. They do, they do, but it did not appear. Your third option is Boeing shareholder proposal by and but that last one was National legal and policy Center. The Boeing one also is National legal policy Center and these are part of a series of throwing a uyghur proposals and which they said, shareholders are entitled to full and transparent disclosure of what efforts Boeing is exerting to persuade. Its Chinese business partners to end their unconscionable oppression of their uyghur Muslim and other Muslim, ethnic minority populations. Basically saying they're tolerating the subjugation of uyghurs, because we know that the right in this country is big on fighting the oppression of Muslim communities, they one of the most important things to the. The right, what we do is talk about Muslim ethnic minorities anymore, of course, and they contrast it with Boeing, has a racial Justice in Dei policies but they they're Hypocrites. Because look, they're okay. Weaker. Hats off to find one group. The uyghurs the it's the one group that the right and left can kind of agree on right, the right because they're they're it's basically a proxy to attack the Chinese and the left because what it's a proxy to attack the what the corporates who do what why does the left? Why do they don't? Because they they're not a big fan, generally of people who contravene some sort of Human Rights, but why is it always the uyghurs though? I'm saying, like there are human rights evaluations from corporations across the globe, including our very little like any including our own country know I know. But there's a lot of attention paid to this one subset, but there's a lot of uighurs in the Chinese government has been accused of using specifically uyghurs in labor for corporations like a way to get I'm not voting for Boeing anyway. This one is easy because I think it's the first the first instance where I did a double take while analyzing a proxy and I don't remember seeing language just so Blatantly hateful and and sipid. And that's the, the language from the Microsoft proposal. Yeah. It's all right, answer, because you said not only. They say something about Choosing not to abort pre-born babies, but they also had some they had to also like attack trans people in there too. For some reason, they just throw in a trance. I like there is this thing that seems to happen. Like I think they the Antioch tried a bunch of a couple of these globalists proposals, that really did not go well, and then they've pivoted and they did. So they, they had been doing some of these uyghur proposals in fact, that Boeing proposal got 7% for votes. Well, that's performing, as I said, the uyghur thing, it does appeal to both sides a little bit but now they're pivoting to throw a trans person in there and say discrimination. Um, it's it's a new low. Well, here's here's why. Because I've spent a lot of time on a lot of the websites of these people and they're they basically use this the fundraise off of. They don't care about what these proposals are asking for what's really going on these corporations, they just use it to fundraise. They wouldn't even know what to do. With the report if they got, ya know, yeah. They're just using it for extra money for their pointless organizations. All right. Well, you got all right, here we go. Anti-woke fund of the Year fund of the Year. Okay? Fun. Yeah, there are three options one. I'm thinking it has to be but go ahead. First is the second vote Society defended ETF. I remember this. Yeah, which was forced to liquidate. Because nobody bought it. Yeah, what was that? Again, it's screened out companies that quote opposed second amendment rights. Right. Border security Civil Society or support for law enforcement. There is a when it liquidated, the the fund manager David Blacks at quote, there's an overall failure in either our messaging or a commitment by conservatives and Christians to actually take meaningful steps to counter the successful. Radical ESG, woke leftists well, since when do Christians care about gun rights? Why is that a thing? Why would that be a thing? Because you got a shoot, all the infidels, other Christians were supposed to be pacifists at their core know. Not when you're shooting in shooting things. Okay. But we did an analysis of second vote which offers ratings woke ratings. Yeah we analyzed the 1000 of them and found that with theology scribbled on the on the back of Twix package found in the Dallas airport. Yeah I think they saw in the wall of the Madison Square Garden and a greasy Wendy's bag. Yeah. But we found that their methodology systematically hated three things which was companies that manage any sort of carbon emissions or environmental issues, women cup companies that have unions women and companies that have women on their power. Yeah. Those were getting to women we could demonstrate with data that. That's what they excluded. Yeah. And I bet the companies that manage carbon emissions probably have a lot of women in those roles that are right effectively end up being the same thing. Your second option is right, here we go. There we go, front runner strive strives, their their S&P 500 ETF. And this is why we analyzed strives vote multiple times throughout the year. They've basically, they vote out women. They're not different than second vote but strive is at the pivot. Thanks to Pivot being so anti-woke and loud. In his political campaign and just being a Maga is. Yeah, I gotta say, hats off to the founder of strive co-founder of strife ramaswamy because he probably the most, and this is the year that include like Sam bankman fried and people like that. Quite clearly the most hated man in America, right? I mean, this guy is just ridiculed everywhere. In the left hand? Yes from. Yeah. From the left and the right. He is just hated universally. Yes he had the ramaswami tsunami early on the year and everybody loves it. Alright that's a everybody Beast that we all want to Yeah, we all want to kiss on. Yeah, but they've had to Pivot the new CEO. Matt Cole, who was X cowl purse? I think Calvin's, right? Is it stirs? It's Spurs or stirs. It's a cow. He had he's a, the circulated a letter internal describe saying, quote strive is quote, seen as a political over investment-oriented fund, which is turned off investors. They are having a hard time raising money, so they changed all the messaging to be shareholder value stuff. Not not woke, well, that's surprising. So, because isn't the motto? The rallying Cry of those people. Like go woke, go broke. So what does it mean that? Yeah. What does it mean for go anti-walk? Well, they sent a bunch of letters early on in their their launch and I was letters to Disney and talking about Dei and woke. In fact we covered this year the the five principal questions to ask your financial advisor if you like those were troubling. Yes. And the number one question and this is not an exaggeration. The first question listed to ask your financial advisor is, are you investing in companies that did a racial Equity audit and therefore, like, Run for the hills investment right? So strive is a, is a, is a very strong Contender here. But you're you have a third option and simply because there's it's just too much for me. God Bless America ETF. Oh God. Okay. Y'all is the is the ticker and this is why quote this is a quote from their website quote an investment for God-fearing flag waving conservatives. That's that's it. God fearing flag way we can conservatives. I'm gonna surprise you. I'm not a religious person. No really. Yeah you might shock you but what is with the God fearing? Why is that fun? Why what's the what's you know? What do we do in there? But it makes plain why you need so many guns for the Second Amendment second vote Society defended ETF. This is part of the reason why people love horror movies so much is the same kind of thing of God, then you need a gun to defend in case he shows up and you haven't done the right thing so I don't know. So their largest holding is in video. The largest showing is NVIDIA, Nvidia. Who like, if you are a God-fearing flag, waving American conservative it. Would not make you happy. That Nvidia announced that they're selling new Chips to China. That's their selling a lot of chips to China. Oh also tell you this that if you care about the people who run your company is anyone who's invested with God, Bless America, ETF read some interviews and articles about CEO, Jensen Wong over there at Nvidia. Yeah. He's not going to be, let's just say it's not a good match. It's not it's not a match made in heaven. Let's just say that. Well, if you're looking for a match made in heaven. Yeah wouldn't you go for the I guess this is the God Bless America. Yeah, you would go here. You would go here. So those are your three options. You've got a strive second vote. God Bless America as much actually as much as kind of second vote. And God bless America. Kind of no pun intended. Like trumped the craziness of strive strive as clearly the winner here. Just I didn't choose the Maga fund. I just tell you as a side, note to this whole goal, go broke year that we're having Anheuser Busch. Right when the whole thing, right? When the shit hit the fan right? Was it about 66 dollars, right? Yeah, and it, the stock price, and it's now roughly a 64 dollars. Wow, so it has rallied back from its dip, the gold gold broke thing. I guess is completely meaningless exercise of expression. Here's another go broke. It doesn't exist there, you know, that does that they're broke now? They've lost okay. Yeah. And Azure Bush, and as your bush has failed and collapsed. Yeah, he's no longer exists. Speaking of things that should no longer exists. How about the anti-wolf legislation of the Year? Oh wow. You have a lot of these left? I should talk less. Yeah, go ahead. First, the Florida amendment to section 215 855. That's a good one in, in their their investment policies. Quote, any written, communication made by an investment manager, to accompany in which such manager invest public funds on behalf of government. Entity must include a disclaimer that conspicuous in location. If that letter sent, Discusses social political, or ideological interests. So which is we just remember we discussed this originally which is basically every interest everything to the world known as either social political or ideological. Yeah. So now effectively they this was we coined this as the Larry Fink letter Amendment. So every time Larry Fink writes a letter, they have to write at the bottom of the letter. Now, by Florida law the views and opinions expressed in this communication. Are those of the sender and do not reflect the views and opinions of the people of the State of Florida? I almost have to feel bad for Florida. I mean, the one guy who completely, just the whole thing blew up on it is Ron DeSantis, right? Florida was where go where woke went to die. And yeah, he said that he's probably the single reason why that movement has collapsed because everybody hates him. Everybody thinks that the go woke or You know, go Broke Girls. Ridiculous. No, I'm just saying, like he completely ruined the movement. It's just, it's over. It seems, but go ahead. I mean it the spokespeople for the movement were Ron DeSantis and Vivek Rama. Mike Pence a little bit weighed in He did weigh in and he dropped out. Of course, Elon talks about ESG a bit. Back. He just he John Oliver had a 30-minute takedown of Elon Musk this week and Elon musk's response was what you used to be funny before you went woke so I don't care. Oh yeah. No he went well recently good like that's a good comeback though, right? Go ahead. Number two, Texas. SB 883. Yeah, which is their insurance oversight. Go ahead quotes is provided by a different section and insurance may not use an environmental social or governance model score factor or standard to charge a rate different than the rate to another business or risk in the same class for essentially, the same Hazard meaning. Yeah, you cannot charge a different insurance rate based on a environmental social or governance model score. Or fact, I love that. I love that. You can't use a factor. Yeah. You can't use a data point to charge a different rate. Based on a data point, that's effectively what it's saying. Yeah, I mean, this thing too, is having worked to an organization that created a lot of these Data points. There, there are to a rule. They're all publicly available data points that you can either find in their proxy or on their website, or write none of this stuff is. It's not like made up fairy dust data points. It's all, it's all stuff that can easily be sourced. The validity to which can be sourced almost immediately. But the way, the, what's interesting about this, the way this is written is that? So if you have a utility that lives on the coastline that gets hit by hurricanes, four times a year which is all you. Just describing texts East, Texas or are you utility that somewhere like in the center of the state? That doesn't get hit ever by a hurricane because of where it is. You cannot use a data point about that hurricane. Yeah, to suggest that one company in the one you utility has a higher rate of insurance than the Other utility you have to set the rates exactly the same. So what they inadvertently do with this legislation is increased, the insurance rates for every industry that faces any environmental social governance risk because they do include in their Governance model of governance model as a proofreader. I could save them some space here instead of saying it may not use an environmental social governance model blah blah Factor. Why are they just say may not an insurer may not use a fact. No. Oh, I like to charge a rate different, right? No facts. No allowed to make a determination in this regard. Okay, go ahead. What can only be something you found in a JRR Tolkien novel or the back of that Wendy's bag at the Atlanta airport where strive created Technologies, Atlanta is not Texas. Then by the way, these are only legislation that passed. I did not okay. What this past, finally Wyoming their state investment board rule amendment that suggested peculiars, do not include the furtherance of environmental social governance political or ideological interests. And here is why I love what they wrote and why Wyoming. Because they added this And this is in the states rules for the investment board, these ideological investment criteria, which have crippled corrupted disadvantaged subverted, damaged or otherwise, harmed, the children. Oh citizens. Industrial children. I think crippled the children. I was wondering what? Crippled all the children and Wyoming. The furtherance of environmental social governance political and ideological interests have crippled the children. Wow, that's that's what it did. So, those are your, those are passed. Those are three Florida Amendment where everything needs to disclaimer. If his letter involves so everything, no insurance can use a factor or fact, and Wyoming saying that yes, she crippled children. This is great. Look at the level. I will say that apologies of Wyoming, because that's the best one out of the three, but I have to go, the winner has to be Texas because all all Things, oh crazy or happening in Texas. And this whole idea that you, I mean you're joking, but essentially you're paraphrasing really well that you can't use a fact to make a determination in your own business. To which you determine how to ensure things. You can't, you can't use a factor. Is there anything that isn't a governance data factor or data point? Like, everything is a governing for that means, you can't consider the people who run the computer. You can't consider where the companies are. You can't consider who works for the company. You can't consider anything. I love that, it's great. All right, so I think what you're saying is, let's you want to open some hotel chains on swampland. Is that what you're saying? Yeah, we could we could definitely get it. Insured. All right, what else? Here are your this one's a quicker category you anti-wolf celebrity blowhard of the year. Oh, This seems easy. But what do you got? First up is Scott, Adams slash Dilbert. We haven't talked about Scott Adams. That was this year. That was last year. That was this year. Dave, here's the, here's the read that this is. They have a comic where a, yeah, I'm pretty sure. Yeah, it does totally 2023 X. I hate to really focus in on the image that you created for a pre-production notes, but it does say right there, bottom right corner. September 20th. 2022. Oh no, well Scott, go ahead. This is a great Dilbert. Go ahead. I don't want to, I just won't vote for this, but he has his racist rant in 2020. Go ahead that gets him canceled. This is a crazy Dilbert. Read it, the Dilbert, he wrote that basically kicked off. Scott Adams as an anti woke Warrior. Is there two employees. One is black. When its white white guys saying, or are they? I don't wait. Wait for it. Dave, the white guy says, Dave, I need to boost our companies ESG rating. So I'm promoting you to be our CT. Oh, which we chuckled at map because who the person in the role of CTO, at a public corporation has absolutely no bearing on any ESG rating in the universe. Never never maybe one day ever made one day, maybe we should do that, but it doesn't actually have any effect on any ESG rating. The white man goes on. I know you identify as white so that won't help our ESG scores. But would it be too much trouble to identify as gay, right? So, this is a weird subjects here at the black man, identifies as a white, man. That's the weirdest. That's right, we're chuckle here, the ha ha. So that's a chuckle because like, you can identify as anything that's the chuckle. And then, the black man, says, depends, how hard you want me to sell it and the white guy replies just wear better shirts, which I don't even get, I don't know, I got this. So I guess the black man is saying, do I have to sleep with other men in order to like sell the fact that I'm gay, right? And the way they're saying like, you have to dress Nicer. But have you met any gay people? That's not like a, that's not even a good stereo type. Yeah, well, up where I live in Portland. Maine, everyone looks the same, so it doesn't really matter if you look like you just killed a bear. Yeah. Um, so Scott Adams, got he ended up going on a racist rant on his YouTube live show. Yeah, basically like that, don't. Yeah. What was it? Don't be afraid of all white. People shouldn't shouldn't live near black people. Black people are racist against white people, Elon Musk weighed in and said, he agreed with Scott Adams. What's 20 mentioned, Elon Musk? Because that to me, that was the front one of the anti-wolf celebrity blowhard. So, musk is a another Contender here. I'm not even gonna say the things that don't even bother was just. Oh, it me of ridiculous. And finally, I wanted to give you a dark horse which won't win, but I like I forgot that this happened, Alice Cooper, Alice Cooper, the the Aged rocker rocker agent rocker, who called woke ideology laughable, and he slammed the trans fat Cooper said, quote, I find it wrong. When you've got a six-year-old kid who has no idea, he just wants to play in your confusing, Him telling him. Yeah you're a boy but you could be a girl if you want to be this from a man ever. Yeah, this from a man, a named Alice and B who routinely dressed up in all manner of things and did all crazy stuff throughout his career to get a saying that kids are confused. I'm gonna add to this category a little bit because there's a whole group now of middle of like middle-aged white men, like Alice Cooper who were like, they're real, this is their thing now, they're they're they're this is like they're sitting on the porch at their yelling at the children thing, right? Like, yeah, it's Alice Cooper, it's who else is in this list, Bill Maher. You know, the Joe Rogan types the? Yeah, Joe Rogan was always there. I think he does it now a little bit. I can't think of them all, but there's a, there's a category here, peers Bill Mars interesting because he was like an avatar of the left and his very quickly, because an avatar of the right in some ways. But, but, you know, like, I don't think that they Of I've had nearly the 2023 that like Scott Adams and musk so Alice Cooper's not gonna win. So, to make it easy, Elon Musk. Oh, I, I actually, I sort of want to disagree with you, okay? And I wanted to be Scouts up to me, but there's no bigger anti-wolf celebrity blowhard ever. Then, you know, I must because he's not even I'll give a little bit more. Credit Scott. Adams scared is, is actually almost clever about how he does it. Elon Musk is really insipid. In his thought process, his anti-walk thought process is actually like a dumb down version of Donald Trump. It's really, it's shockingly, the dumbed down. You wants like this is just nothing going on. He's just, it's just something happening. I don't even say dumbed down, I don't know, maybe it's not possible. All right, you're you're next category and there's only Categories. After this, there's only one nominee for this category. All right. I'll still take it. Seriously, I'm still vote. It is the anti-woke defense of the Year. Oh, I think I know what you're gonna say here and this is Disney's Royal Claus. Yeah, that's a good one. The greatest defense of anything, I actually put the Royal Claus in here but it is. The Declaration shall continue in effect until 21 years. After the death of the last survivor of the descendants of King. Charles, the Third King of England living, as of the date of this declaration, 21 years after the death of the last survivor. Why 20 one? I don't even know. Yeah, I remember, we looked at South, there is a reason why they chose 2021, there is a reason, but this is this was to secure the rights of the Reedy Creek. You know, management with Disney and any real property within 10 Mi the after effective. This was to Sanchez was so mad that He basically said we're going to put prisons around Disneyland like Disney. Like like this is, this was a fantastic that could be for the kids. This is why I didn't include Disney in the anti. The anti will company of the year because you know like the Oscars like you really don't want like one And movie taking everything. Disney could have swept almost everything. All right. So that's the year, the Disney's. That's it. I'm only gonna vote for that. What else you got? Um, here are the woke cowards of the Year cowards of the Year, okay? Yeah. In the anti-walk awards, these are the basically the people that anti-wolf can hold up as we won because what cowards number one is Larry Fink. Oh, he's like the uyghurs he's attacked from the left and the right. Yeah, I know, I'm sorry. The week is aren't attacked but you know I'm saying? But they agree, right? I agree. Black Rock CEO. Larry Fink says he's officially retiring, ESG as an investing term, but this, so, but ran away. But then a few months later, didn't he come out and say something? Like, he was making fun of legislation somewhere attacking ESG? I mean, he's saying everything, but everything, he he's no longer using the term. ESG was that I think Larry consistent disappointing? Why would you get Why would you? I mean, why would you coward or a bunch of idiots in Texas? Just don't be a moe. Stop. Number two. The, the tandem of Tariq fancy and Desiree. Fix my favorites. Yeah, I love these two who said, quote, it's time to dismantle this circus, ESG has served its purpose. What was the person that they said that at a conference? There was a purpose. I think it's unclear to me, what they think the purpose of gathering data was. Yeah, what was? Yes, it's over, it's over, we shouldn't do that anymore, I guess. Because he's why, because he's automated it, or cause we don't need the data anymore, which is it? No, because like, they all so conflate the data within outcome so they think it's yeah, it's it's out in the world now. Stop saying yes. Well, Tariq should we stop talking about, okay? Let's say that we get rid of all the data, right? Because it's over as we allowed to even talk about the subjects that that might, yes, she's subject matter are we allowed to talk about, for instance, like the CEO of a company? Because that's, that's a pretty big Corporation. Stop it. Just stop it. So it's over And finally proxy voters as the woke cowards of the year. It's always every year. Every year, Vanguard joins Blackrock in. Rejecting more ESG, proposals from shareholders. This is one of the biggest years for shareholder, proposal rejection in the face of the, the pressure from the anti-walk, or at least that's how it's been spun. Black Rock State Street. All got afraid of all the anti-wolf rhetoric in Texas and we called this as like it's not nearly, it's a reversion to the mean. It's not, this isn't them like You know, cowering, but the narrative is out there, they're running away, they didn't double down, they didn't say well, you know, we have more data or being smarter. They didn't say any of that, they just voted less, that's what they did. So you've got this is actually think seems like the front runner, but between think, fancy fixler and proxy voters, writ large, not voting for ESG stuff. There's some competition here. I feel like this is a category up for grabs. I mean I I'm biased on this one. Usually I've been voting for the front runner but I I have to vote for my favorite Duo and that's Tariq fancy and Desiree. Wow, that's probably the third option I would have thought. Wow, only because it's just, they just encapsulate the anti-esg industries. So well right, they're just, they're so glib. It's so meaningless there. It's just, I just love it. I love their last names fancy and Pixlr and which didn't want them. Say the ESG, the people who work in the es industry are all underqualified. Who said that? Yeah, I was Tariq fancy. He said, it's just most people in the year under qualified, just a nonsense, he piles on. I just, I'm sorry, I just have to vote for for that one. It really it. Like that what bothers me most about them is that they went into ESG thinking, there's a right way to do it, not that this is a data set, you can do whatever you want with it. I mean, you can be upset that like I like fixler is right, that DWS overstated, its green Bonita, and fancy is right. That black rock didn't actually do anything or hope to accomplish anything with the ESG except market fund. But then they went on to shit on, all of ESG. There is just said it's all bulshit and it's not you idiots. And that's why I didn't vote for Fink or like Vanguard because they never really were ESG people. They never. Yeah, that's fighting the fight. So I don't know that they're powered as much as flip-floppers. I don't know. What they are. But the woke, the anti-walker holding them up saying, like, look at our victories think is now backing off of you just now. What are there? Yeah. What is backing off? How yeah, back in the acronym? Yeah, I guess. So what else you got? And your final category. Okay, now my God, come on, the anti-woke wash of the Year, kind of like a green wash. So it's whatever the opposite of a green wash is where you say that your anti woke but you're actually not that anti-woke, right? Like, so it's the, it's an anti green wash. Yeah. Because I think we first, we've talked about this many times using like, say strive as example. They know what they're saying is full of shit that, you know? Yes. That's why. Yeah, that's exactly right. Yeah, right. Because I mean, how could you, how could you look at the at the market, how could you even have to analyze a company these days without using ESG? Did it be stupid to to not take all those Potential risk factors into play when you're analyzing a company. Well, like, forget those risk factors, they still have to vote their proxies which means they're doing ESG, they're doing the G part. They just have a different thing is G, right? Like the whole thing is ESG. So and first up is Vivek Rama, Swami himself, this headline from mid-year. Ramaswami investment seem at odds with his position on what culture because he owned positions in his personal portfolio. According to FEC filing, with a number of companies that have a tremendous amount of diversity and Dei initiatives. Including he owns over a million dollars in Microsoft and Microsoft is one of the Darlings of the of a woke corporate ESG, corporate darling. Microsoft is there Anybody who doesn't think? They're woke their Triple A rated Esky company. I mean, the top is the company about that but the Godfather Microsoft was Bill Gates. I mean he is basically fauci, right? He's Larry Fink. He's like the, he's the woke devil know, Bill Gates. I mean, everybody. Yeah, everybody else would say that Bill Gates is the chips and planting something. What's he doing? I don't know. He is the global. He's the globalist. Absolutely. And then your second option. Here is Texas. Oklahoma. All of the states that have this anti-esg legislation Montana. Here's the headline. Republican controlled States like Oklahoma are rushing to invest in clean energy. Even as conservative groups push for more oil and gas. This is what I've said all along is like I just shut up and makes goes make some money like he usually do. Like investing in clean energy is smart. Just do it and shut up. Leave me but isn't this the Great anti-green? Wash anti good. Like, a woke wash whatever. Yeah would be like this is amazing stuff when they're investing one way. And saying another thing, which includes in there the third nominee, Texas and their fossil fuel discrimination list which There. They keep created a listen to 2022 of as a managers that were boycotted by the state because of their stance against fossil fuels. They added this year, five companies to their divestment list for ESG anti-oil. And of the companies all told that are on their boycott list. Just one is a US company that matters at all and it is Blackrock they didn't exclude JPMorgan or Bank of America or Goldman Sachs or because they couldn't do business if they did that. Yeah, there is no greater anti-wolf wash than pretending that you have legislation to avoid companies that are discriminating against your industry. And then including one that has the largest position in oil and gas in the world that that's black rock that just happens to be run by your Global new globalist Larry Fink I'm going to vote for the only person who was on our show. Vivek. Wow. Anti really wash the air because remind the audience. Matt, didn't we didn't. We basically trick him into admitting. We did that. What what did we trick him into admitting Damien? We had him, do play the good game Damien, pulled a headline about female CEOs, female CEOs in the Fortune, 500 to which he responded, he did not care. He said the the idea that we're counting the number of female CEOs in the Fortune, 500 is Ludacris. And we got into a long debate about well, just buy math, shouldn't there be more female CEOs because they're more Fortune 500 educated, right? They're more educated the more qualified. They tend to like in their only represent like five percent of the 4500 or 10% is 8. Yeah. Some ridiculously small number by maths shouldn't there be more and he went on To admit that because of systemic, barriers to women getting placed in positions black people. Getting educated. That's that's the explanation for why there aren't so many generationally. Right? They they'll catch up because they were held back before, right? Yes. So he used something that is called in colleges critical race theory of course, to describe why there are not so many diverse cohorts in Fortune, 500 by breaking down the systemic barriers that you will essentially level the playing field. and then, And we, then he said he had to go now, it was basically where the interview, I mean, we didn't the reason why I chose a name, not only because he was on our show because I just know, having just spent like an hour with him and listening to a lot of things he said over the year. I just know, he knows he's full of shit. He 100%. No, in fact all this stuff that he's doing about, he's now a conspiracy about January, 6th and 9/11 and all this stuff with Trump. He he's clearly pandering to something. He knows he's full of shit. It's clear. Yeah, well I think he's pandering two Trump to get a moment. So that was our original. That was actually one of our original predictions on one. That was one of your predictions. Yeah, he would go for that, but that's it. That's that's what we got. That's a lot. It was a lot. Let's hope that 2024 there's there's just no material for another anti vocal word show. Let's hope it died. I fall there will be plenty of material. The anti-walk awards are in. There's some big Winners going home with trophies tonight, but the biggest winner. You The Listener of this podcast because you get a chance to go download tomorrow, we're gonna drop another proxy countdown. A new show where you can get all the information, I think, tomorrow's big vote is at Costco. Costco, everyone's favorite, let's go. Come on everybody shops there. Don't you want to know who runs that company? I do. I've never been I wanted to run Yeah, you need to know otherwise we'll have a couple more shows, I think. One or two more shows before the year is out. Until then good. Bye.
