Transcript

Live from your ESG thrift store. Oh, really a thrift store old crappy stuff that smell kind of funny. It's a business pants Friday show here at August 25th, Lane Studios, featuring all your favorites. While some of your favorites, Jesse the money whisper An analyst whole Matt mascardi. The first time I can actually call my boss and a hole. But it's analyst hole but I could shorten it. Yes. You could have called him that. Yeah, knows what he is. He has been done before. All right, we just doing the normal thing. What are we doing? I think we might as well. All right. Stories and assholes and net. Something they want to say, Jesse announcement. Did you get married for the seventh time? No, no, that's that's a couple weeks away, right? Oh, but my name did officially change. So I'm gonna now. Oh, I'm not a feminist. I'm not changing it. Anywhere in our professional documents. I'm protesting your I am too. You are your life? That's your loophole. That's, let's do it in the week. Yeah. I got a lot of anti-feminists in my stories, me too. in honor of Jesse who was, who is Abiding by the patriarchy and changing her. Yeah, God knows finally. Someone is I have a bunch of I have a bunch of very prominent anti-feminism in my stories of the week. Starting with. Start with the with what is oh, we don't have a slide show. We don't have any visuals know. We don't have visuals, but I think everyone seen it by now. I'm calling this one, I guess the director bio picture of the year. I mean we you know we collect part of what I love about free flow analytics.com is to see the people's faces to see the pictures of the directors. And as much as I don't really want to cover this story, this is got to be the picture of the Year and that is, of course the mugshot of former president. Yes it is. Donald Trump. It's really let me get into the ESG data on this. Here's what's weird is that he reported his height and weight to be six foot, three and 215 pounds. Despite the fact that in April, he reported his height to be six foot two, and his way to be 240, he's getting tall, a picture going around with him and Justin Trudeau. Justin Trudeau is actually from a province Jesse at Quebec where women are not allowed to change their names to the men's name is that true? Yes. But Trump is pictured by prime minister. Justin Trudeau. Trudeau is six foot two. And Trump was noticeably shorter. So anyway that's that's my that's my blood. Hey I want to subscribe like I know that you know, diet pills and stuff or like all the advertised on X and Truth social. Now I want whatever pills he's taking where he lost 30 pounds in like three months. Good for him. Speaking of true, social and Twitter and all that nonsense. He also made his return to Elon musk's company last night. Moments after surrendering literally, that's what it's called. The legalese after surrendering to the Fulton County Jail system or whatever. He put up a picture of his mugshot on Twitter saying Never Surrender. Oh I mean no seriously surrendered. But to me it was like the perfect encapsulation of social media, right? I mean, there you have it, it's just a bunch of nonsense, mistruths. I don't know what it is. I don't know what the world is it anymore. I really don't do. We, should we question? Should we began only showing mugshots of directors on free flow? Analytics.com. I don't have a lot of. If they have a mugshot, we should show the mugshot right. Sounds like a weekend project for Jesse. Let's do that. That's that would be amazing next door. The week BlackRock voted against a record 91% of all she has a proposals in 2023 so they supported Only nine percent, a proposals in 2023, which is down from 24% last year and down from 43% support in 2021. So they have fallen off of a cliff falling off the ESG cliff. I mean, what we thought we, we talked about this on Wednesday, we have no idea what percentage of those proposals were anti-woke, we have no idea like what the content difference, they've clearly something clearly stopped doing a thing, right? But we're also talking about shareholder proposals. Those represent like 2% of all votes, not even. It's one percent only matters who they vote for his directors. Because these are mostly asks for reports. So I if they voted against 20% more directors, but that isn't reported here then, isn't that impactful we just don't. That's, this is, like, half the data. That's my point. Yeah, I like, unfortunately, the reporting here does not have the precise number of directors voted against it? That's correct. Say that they voted for 88% of all management proposals. So, I'm guessing that a large portion of the management proposes. They rejected were directors and I I'll say that I am not a black rock apologist at all. They, this is actually going back to form, right? Like we weren't it wasn't like, BlackRock was a progressive organization condo, but low not percent, might be a bit low, but this is closer to what it used to be. But if they've like ballot, count your balance that by voting against more directors, I'd rather they vote against more directors than okay. I was a shareholder proposals. I know. Larry Fink is listening. I know he's a fan of the show Larry. Yes, You caved quickly to the anti woke movement you know just cave and the opposite direction to us and she can't get that number up a bit more next year. Get up to 20%. Yeah, what are you doing recalls recap cave? That's right. Yeah, okay. The third story of the week. All my stories are just about like, dudes and power, whether we like them or not. I just wanted to fly this one again, because it's just think it's important, and because they're really weren't a lot of other compelling Stories. The week, Meadows news, band and is preventing Canadians from sharing Vital Information about the wildfires. We covered this, I think on Monday, but I think it's important to note that there's a dictator running, a social media company who is angry and decided that he's not going to let a whole country. Share news articles on a social media platform. I, I mean, I'm of two minds of this number one. It is a super petulant temper tantrum because basically Canada said, you have to pay the news organizations if you're going to use it as part of your platform and he threw a big temper tantrums, like no, I won't pay and now you don't get any news. It's like a Diaper Baby. But at the same time, why are we getting our fucking news from meta? That's baby. I was just about to say the same thing. I I just don't know why we're only getting our news from there. That's not the only place to get your news but it is a convenient way to share the news, right? With a large group of people all at once may, I suggest truth social Well, there's suggesting that now that Donald Trump is back on X for the first time in over. What a couple years. Maybe this is you official unofficial end of Truth. Social, I don't know. Oh anyway, he showed up at ruined it. And finally, in a story that we haven't covered this one is just it's long-winded and ridiculous and terrible. I pulled this story. Because yesterday, I to me it represented a little bit of a victory, like it to me it represented, like, you know, we've come a long way in 2023, like it, like there's something to be hopeful for about the future. And this was the story. I picked to represent this Spain's soccer Chief to resign after unwanted kiss of female World Cup player, ignite, Scandal exposing a deep level of massaging, right? So, that was the original story yesterday because I, I can't tell you how many women I have known in my life. Who have told me that upon greeting certain men, they are literally kissed on the lips and it makes them feel absolutely disgusting violated. Some of them have even stopped hanging out with those people because they didn't know how to tell them. So they've just like ended the relationship. Anyway, so I thought, you know, isn't it remarkable that we've come this far in our society that these things can be pointed out? And that that heads of, you know, this guy. Runs. This organization is actually going to step down because of it but then this morning, There's another headline Spain's. Football chief, his name is Luis. Rubiales is now saying he refuses to resign saying that the World Cup kiss was consensual and the quote from him, he was shouting at an emergency meeting saying, I will not resign, I will not resign, I will not resign. So this story is taking a turn the woman who he kissed, who he said was consensual, kiss is she's already saying that she intends to pursue action. There are several Ministers of government who are already. The second, Deputy Prime. Minister you'll under Diaz and One other Irene Montero Spain's government Minister for Quality already want this guy removed. So this is a big deal over there, so I don't know. I don't know where the story is going to end up, but that's the current state of it. That's the worst part about this is, they won the World Cup, right? Like, but we're not talking about the performance of the Spanish World Cup winning team. We're talking about the fact that their gross Like like the gross, fucking coach can't keep his lips off a player, you're right. But I think the players are are accurate in portraying this as part of the road of the progressive, you know, path of women's sports. Right? Because that that were, we've got to a place where the Women's World Cup is now an important event. One that's watched by many people. One that's reported on by male journalists what is already an achievement. But but this is part of it like this, getting to this point, getting to equal pay getting to equal broadcasting. All that is this unfortunately is part of that story, right? So I think Unfortunately, they're kind of in their twined in some ways and this is what imagine the men's team won. This would never happen. I mean, you are not going to see. Oh, even if it was a female soccer Chief, was would not go up to a men's soccer player of a winning team and grabbed his face and kiss him. If roles are reverse on the lips, she would not There's another part of this story, which is, you know, just speaking to, I guess who he is, but he also apologized this week for grabbing his crotch while standing next to the queen. I guess he, when they won he grabbed his crotch as a way of like taunting the opposing coach, right? Right. While the queen was there and he he actually did publicly apologize for that saying he was so emotional. He lost control and he hands there. He just saying that this he's calling this false feminism and he's been quote, unquote, hunted since taking the job in 2018 that he's been suffering. Every day of his life for five years, I can't believe you almost didn't include that. Jesse, there's so much more I couldn't It's just, it is a horrible question. Is what board seat is? He probably up for next year. Once this all blows over. Yeah, we think this He also said that, he said that anyone who saw the incidences seeing that as anything other than a kiss between two friends, celebrating something. We're idiots and stupid people. So he's including the idiots and stupid people as two, ministers in the government and the and the person who he kissed, who hunted, his filing action. He's just being hunted. All right. Stories of the week is Jesse include the Donald Trump mugshot. Blackrocks, voting meta's news band and Spain's soccer, Chief not resigning, not resigned, flip-flop, soccer, Chief Jesse. But again, Jesse, I will say again, I pointed out the reason why I selected that story is we have come quite far in our society that right? That's the story. Okay, but still I I'm way over to me. I'm old Donald Trump. I'm gonna go with his mugshot. He has a fucking mugshot. Are we really? Got our president. That's correct. That is the, that is the correct answer, but there's no way he's 200, but it's not. Yeah, it's actually not for the fact that he has a mugshot. It's if there ever was a case for radical transparency, about every director, and every CEO, and every politician it would be that he changed his weight and height on a whim for a like, after a mugshot for, like, if he shot, he also clearly practice for this mugshot. It's very strange. He's trying to look tough. He clearly practiced this for you were talking about the overlap between our favorite anti-esg, dude. Vivica promise me and Trump and how they they both kind of use truth in a fall way, right? Like They used truth is the ultimate Gaslight. If you keep saying what I say is the truth and then you say something demonstrably, false immediately after you just said, what I say is, yeah, and yeah, everything they do is to undermine actual truth. Yeah. There's no, there's no real truth involved. Yeah, they're really good at that. All right. That brings us to what's what's Matt's boat. Hi, voted for Trump. Okay. And don't don't talk over the music, the music is the best part, whatever I want. That brings us to good list the week. There are two and a quarter. Good ladies the weeks Damien gears is the first one in the absence of re let's Ari's. Actually, I thought here Ari was here. Early she's like half working. I think she's taking a nap on the couch or she would like to because she's not here, she's not even supposed to be here. Not on her of Ari because she wouldn't even say hi to me. My goodly is that the UPS workers? They approved their massive new Labor Day. They proved it this week, which a record 86% of vote. Can you imagine? I can't imagine voting against this. Yeah. Who are like teen percent? Yeah. So this represents 340,000 workers, which is incredible. It's incredible amount of workers. And here are the highlights of this new awesome contract. Huge wage increases for full and part-time workers for drivers full-time. Drivers will average 170,000 dollars in paid. I'm gonna quit the end of a so called 2 tier employee classification system. That disadvantage Junior employees installation of cooling systems. That's called So just stop right there. That's it, that's the win. And the an end to required overtime work on an employee scheduled day off. This is, this is incredible. I, this is just beautiful. I, I don't know how other when upon seeing this, I don't know how all groups are not like rushing to unionize but they're not I'm surprised. I wouldn't be surprised if every other like FedEx and you know, Amazon drivers, they all just apply for UPS jobs now, like every single one of them and they never they don't have a problem for a decade filling a position. Because not only are you actually cool while you drive your truck but you have health care. That's a pretty good deal. This, my only beef with the story is it's the 45th time at we've talked about it as like goodly, but it looked like a dragon. It was ratified, it was ratified this week and I needed to feel good about this feels this makes me feel so good. It's it's hard to find as Jesse will point out later and in this segment. It's hard to find good stories this week. I, my good list was not actually good either, I admit, um, but I saw this headline, BlackRock pumps breaks on Municipal bond fund amid ESG backlash. Yeah, so here's the backstory, BlackRock had announced an ESG, Municipal bond fund, Municipal Bond like state and local government bonds. The fund was designed to quote tilt towards issuers with high health and equality scores. So the fund would use state level data about like equality and labor and like policies and stuff like that and health outcomes. You know, like mortality rates and whatever data Big Data they have and tilt the bonds accordingly but this is what I like about the story. Do you know what state suck at Health inequality data? I could guess but tell me every state that banned BlackRock and he is she right. So, the ridiculous part about this is the article makes it sound like this is part of ESG backlash, but imagine if BlackRock had put out a municipal bond fund, they've been working on for two years, that tilts away from all of the states that are now anti-esg States. And towards all these blue States, the media basically hasn't looked at a single data point. So they have no idea what the actual outcome of this fund would have been. This isn't like their pumping the brakes because of the backlash, they are pumping the brakes. Because if they were to put it out, then every fucking conservative would have jumped on this. And said, see, you're discriminating against our state. Well, but this, despite the fact that the day just says you suck, But that's what, but but, I would agree that the Optics do suggest that. No, it's suggests that they're being penalized. I just there. Are they being penalized like, because they suck? Like, would you I'm with you? I'm with you, but I'm saying that little isn't, but to me, I wonder if if this is not exactly what black rock is doing, if they are caving again, I don't understand. What's the, what's the, what's the other rationale for, for, not doing, for not for not releasing this Bond? I don't get it. Well, this, this is what I like about it. Because if Black Rock comes out with the bonds, six or eight months, from now after the election, right? Or when the election is, sort of like full on and it kind of, maybe they wait until they'll actually passes if they wait until then then, you know, and it comes out exactly as I would expect it to come out then you know that they were just pausing until the idiots. Stop talking about it so much if they the, it comes out before then and the red states that And ESG or BlackRock are in the fund like, they're not quote, unquote discriminated against, and discriminated. It's like, it's like, we want to talk about vivix meritocracy. The states fucking suck at these things. The data says, the state suck at these things, so meritocracy, like, speaking of vivix meritocracy, Matt. I follow the CEO of vivix former company, strive Asset Management that you founded. I figured out how this who, how the CEO of strive became the CEO. He released a photograph of him at high school with Vivek, So that's that's how the meritocracy actually that's high school together. They come out with this fund and it doesn't tilt away from the States. You know the data says suck and instead is like something more sanitized then their calving right? Like that to me is your compromising the In order, I don't know, I I just love that. This story is a story because it's make, it makes it amuses me. I have no desire to like, jump on Black Rock and attack Black Rock. But I gotta tell you like it for 2023 when authenticity seems to be, you know, the thing that people like seek the most, I think, honestly think BlackRock Anheuser-Busch Target. They've all blown it. Yeah, they're all caught artists, why don't you? But why not just lean into what like lean in to what you're doing? Like, why are they running so quickly? Oh, I don't get what we said on Wednesday. We said reclaim the acronym just, you know, just, I don't know what you're afraid of. I mean, I think I I'm guessing that 90 plus percent of black rocks clients. Absolutely believed that I, you know, identifying long-term risk. Using ESG data is absolutely essential. Yeah, I don't know. What are we terrified of here? I don't, I don't know. I really don't know. I'm Jesse. you have a good list, but you're good list is what my goodness is that there was no good this week because I'm too. Depressing, the Republican debate to choose anything to see any good in this week. Did you actually watch the debate? I only got like 35 minutes in. Oh, that's, and I started crying. I didn't even try. I had to talk me off a ledge after I completely. I I know how much these things were all me up and make me crazy. So, I just, oh, yeah, it was not for my mental health. I watched the whole thing. It was it was. Yeah, because you can just like laugh at it but I'm like, I'm like ready to move like move my life off grid and not have kids ever and bring little innocent people into this terrible world that we're about to live a little innocent people. I just like the outcome of this, we should actually relatively enjoy because the read on Vivic, right? So when you watched it, DeSantis is an empty vessel. That guy doesn't have a thought, right? Like people run? Yeah, he putting fingers doesn't slide show, you were gonna see ya. All right, senses winner of the entire world anti ESG Ron DeSantis. The broad consensus winner of the debate was the only woman on the stage. Nikki Haley is viewed Shockley as the winner of the debate, as the adult was the adults, right? The, which is, I guess not that shocking. But Vivic was the most divisive person because Most people thought he was either Trump 2.0, Trump like acolyte Trump figurehead, right? So, if you're into the Maga thing then then that's what he's there for. Or he's a divisive little like snot-nosed Punk kid, who's cocky arrogant? And that's how you get headlines and say shit worth listening to, but the fact that he's, he broke up, not Democrats who think that, but he's breaking up Republicans, which suggests that the Republicans are kind of like A little over the Maga thing. Like there's a, let's hope there's a big section of Republic, I don't know. I, I thought it was. I thought it was great. He was, he was in rare form too. There was one point. I was just answering a question and Vivek pretends to lick his finger and hold it in the air. Like he's just taking where the wind comes from and saying that, I'm like unlike Vivek, who the media has been now that they're paying attention to him. Are constantly reporting that everything Vivek says he has said the opposite in the past. Yeah, which is amazing. He was on our show to a fall. Yeah. May I remind you listeners, he was on our show using CRT and and basically theories of systemic bias against marginalized communities to describe why there aren't that many women or people of color as CEOs. I want to do on our show can we do over in that show? Because I was trying, I was I was overdoing being diplomatic. Yeah, I wanted him to keep coming back on the show but I want to do over now. You guys for like I mean I couldn't even get through that show. What? Because at the time Because it kind of shows I hate Jesse they're ones were both sides are just preaching to the choir. I was channeling my mom and the best way possible and that trying to find a middle ground trying to find a diplomatic Middle Ground where could actually have a conversation about something but you can't you just couldn't do that with a con artist and a nurse. I know he really in. Oh, I was trying I honestly there were there was like one or two things out of the 40 minutes of things that he said that I was like yeah that's right. Like he I don't just agree with you. The problem is he then interweaves it with seven other things that are basically non-defense. Indefensible, there's no date. We're like managing to get like that's the Republican party. Yeah, it does. All they all their good at is. Hey. So I guess the only goodest that we can vote for is the UPS workers. Oh, it's just move. Pretty much that. So, UPS workers, win for the 400 time. And all right, it's worth celebrating you dope. As holy is to the week. This is where we actually get into. There's only three, there's only three. I already riled up. All right, here's the first asshole, this one's pretty easy Kid Rock's Bud, Light hypocrisy was his outrage all for show. Sham shocked Kid Rock was if you didn't see, this kid rock was seen on social media in a picture. Drinking a Bud Light just like the other day. Just like two days ago, he likes. But like that's where the whole thing's ridiculous this after. He used an AR-15 to shoot cans of Bud Light, got someone at a BM Bev fired. At least one person began a Deep Run, I mean, you can argue women fire, a woman fired. You could argue that kid. Rock is the Genesis of the conservative snowflake boycotts, writ large, like the target boycott, all of that, it was because in part, sure, he was sort of like the lightning rod for it. Turned everyone in a Maga hat. To like a hater of one trans person like they just dumped on one individual trans person who was not part of any kind of AD campaign. Just was given one commemorative can and has begun like this movement to like have an alternate ecosystem of products that cost six times as much but have a flag printed on them, right. Twenty dollars for six pack of beer, plus 25, dollars shipping. And there was a great article in in I think the Atlantic who bought some of these products. And they they waited about 10 weeks for the six-pack to come here. Yeah. It was like great. Like you're not exactly tailgate. Excellent. So Kid Rock basically might be a total hypocrite. It was just for show, which is not shocking at all. Kid rock is not in our influence metrics, but I thought we shouldn't, we should illuminate. Why a b in Bev, probably didn't give too many fucks about Kid Rock, because here is the influence of the Board of directors at ABN Bev as of July, by nationality. Okay, us. Well, they are there. There are notably international company, right? They're headquartered in Belgium, and Belgium, right? So so we're talking about a company where, you know, everybody wants to bug. Bud, Light, boycott. Everybody wants to say they're woke. But the reason why they probably don't care that much over the long term, you ask board member influence 24% of the board is is US board member influence, Brazilian board member influence is 35% of the board. Brazilian nationality, belgians are 38%. Colombians are 1% in. Indian is 2% which I mean. Yeah. The funny thing about that list Matt is that the US is the most woke up of all five of those. Those are. Yeah, go ahead. 76 percent of the board though. Does not care about a tiny like fraction of the US population. Yeah, who is liver is like deeply upset about one of the brands? Yeah, I want to know. One brand out of 1,000 held by a trans person and Kid Rock shooting it. Right. That's why again like deeply disappointed that they even caved. That's just be like your your hate is repugnant get over it. Yeah, that's correct. So Kid Rock is your first asshole the week. Number two, Here's the headline dicks. CEO blames. Oh alarming. Retail theft for a surprising profit drop quote. It's a problem for our entire country. Oh, you mean for the other CEOs or everybody? I it was unclear. They talked she was talking about retail, this is actually an asshole reminder. Okay, okay. The CEO of dicks is a woman named Lauren Hobart, okay? Dick CEO and founder was Ed stack, who I heard his way into a glass Cliff replacement. And he still is executive chair and hold her of more than 50% of Class B shares. So he owns the vote with his co-founder. Whose on the board Bill Columbus still makes more money than the CEO. He actually takes still, he's take home, pay is larger than the CEOs, take home pay. So what she is is she's the Linda yaccarino of of Sporting Goods. Like she basically just shows up and has to face bulshit, but this is your reminder. Stack is 38% of the firm influence and Bill Columbus 32%. The CEO has a distant empathetic seven percent influence. This is another one of these companies. That I mean, I don't know who here has spent time in dicks. I feel like it's dominated by female Shoppers, right? Really. And Another and and as we point out, many times women, make most of the purchasing decisions in the household. Dicks. Another one of these companies that has basically no female influence. None, basically. None there. No, there's Beyond influence. There's only three out of like how many members like 12 or something. I mean there's just don't exist there. There's no women in power there and Ed stack and this is your asshole. Reminder, Ed stack made a big show of cutting his salary during covid. Do you remember we covered this on the show during covid, he cut his salary, which was a million dollars to zero. They cut the salary of all the executives and somehow still managed to give himself right before cutting his salary to 0 a massive stock award. While the stock was hovering at its all-time low, right? He made Millions more than any prior year as a result. And then after that, he has his fake CEO Trot out and say, like, we had a surprising profit shop because people have to steal shit in order because they can't afford to buy it post-covid and she gets to give that message. I just I just want everyone to know when it Lauren bobert. Oh my god, when Lauren Hobart comes out as a CEO of dicks and talks about like anything happening at Dick's. Ed stack is Dick's. She is not to blame, don't blame her. The guy hiding up in the executive chair. Getting paid more, who paid himself more during covid than, but made a show of cutting a salary. That's the guy to remember as the asshole I like it, which brings me to number three and last. Here's the headline, Ron DeSantis wants to strip Disney workers, a free passes and discounts arguing. It sucks Millions from Florida's economy. Wait, what? so, I understand Really, we're getting, we're getting that. We're Central. Florida tourism, oversight, districts board, submitted a complaint to the Inspector General saying that Disney giving out free passes to Florida employees. Florida residents means they're robbing the state of tax dollars. That's oh wow. That's like a this is like extra levels. So how does that affect Florida? But he said it amounts to quote unethical benefits and perks. But is that true though? But when Company gives out free passes. They don't have to record those and then still pay. They record how they record it, right? Probably Yeah, they probably do pay the taxes on those gifts but it's different like tax bracket and they get paid less taxes. But here's what, here's the funny part is the Florida Commission on ethics has just had to quit his job because he's also on the central Florida tourism, oversight District board and he quit to join like, which is on ethical. He can't sit on that board and on the ethic, be the commissioner of ethics. And he chose the one that pays him 400,000 dollars a year and just to prove that this story is all about as Damian's been saying all along. It's just like this anti wokie like petty. Shit is All About Women gaze unions and brown people. Here's Disney's, do proxy. Here's Disney's not executive staff. This is Disney's disclosures their their staff that they want to stop giving four dollars worth of candy corns. At the gift shop. This is who their, this is who they're targeting. The staff is 52%, female 50% people of color 31%, Hispanic or Latino and 53% unionized the median wage is 1715 an hour or 36,000 dollars a year, which is an 11 to one pay ratio next to just gilzean was good. The Disney board that was put in place. Yeah, so they're assholes. So those are three. Luckily, Matt, none of those people really vote for DeSantis anyway. So they're not his voters. Well that's why they can hurt them right. Like that's why they don't care. Kid, Rock Dick's, real CEO and Ron DeSantis. Stripping Disney workers that Like a new level new level that I can't really wrap my head around. The santis one. Yeah, it's real. I mean, ridiculous, but to think that again, like not to get back to the same old tired story, but that the Republican Party itself is the one telling corporations, they're not, they're not telling corporations, don't give your workers free passes to their to your own company. That's what they're saying. That's, that's really, that's what they're saying now. Oh, what I what I like about actually this that story is that with a four second look, you can see who because Disney disclosed a tremendous amount of data about their Workforce. So you can see that I can't tell who that is in Florida, but we do know that the majority of that non-executive staff. It works out of Florida out of parks, right? So what we know is that they're targeting literally women, Hispanic people and people of color and Unions, that's what they're targeting. That's all their targeting. So those are your options, any votes. I'll go I'm gonna vote for just this sounding vote ever. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna vote for Ed. Stack Dick's actual sea Dick's dick. Got it. That's I like a good hiding CEO. I think that I think we actually do write expose people exposed directors like this. Well, absolutely, I could use a birthday. I feel like we should, we should make a marker because we have the same thing with Walgreens. Oh, um, Damien did a deep dive into Walgreens and we looked at our data we found out that like You know, female lead Rose in. Brewer, looks like the CEO but is not, I mean there's a hiding CEO on the board. Yeah. So these hidden CEOs are all assholes to me. Well, you know what? It reminds me of how Mark Zuckerberg used to use Sheryl Sandberg, which is trotting her out. Yeah. When times are rough to apologize, essentially. Right to deal with the crap. Despite the fact that as you pointed out Matt I'm looking at their proxy statement a dicks. He is the high most highly paid exactly across the board. He's so anyway, I'm reading this are I got sidetracked because I'm reading this article out of Fortune. How Disney firefighters are pissed off? DeSantis taking away their free park passes. So they're um, as they should be, this is a tough one, but I think I'm gonna I'm gonna agree with Jesse, in the sense that I'm not gonna have a point of view, we have, as Well she's right this sort of beautifully showcases what our data can do, right? So I agree with you, I think it's great to point out that Dick's CEO is still a oh no, not not CEO. Dicks executive chair. Yes. Is that still? Yeah, that's it. So that's my dick's fake. CEO is not the asshole Dick's. Real CEO is which brings us to. Oh, man. Now we're gonna do exhausting us now. We're gonna get exhausted more men that can exhaust. All right, all right. First headline GOP candidate, Larry. Elder thinks access to Capital. Isn't an issue for women? Entrepreneurs know, it's not. Yeah. So, pitch book, came out with this statistic that companies, founded solely by women received, just 2.1% of all venture funding in 2022. Then you get firms. That have male and female co-founders, they get only 18% of venture dollars. The women are dragging down the men, 82% of venture funding goes to companies, founded by males. And this guy thinks that this isn't an issue, it's not an issue, it's only it only has to do with your effort and meritocracy, kind of sounds like another person. We know who dressed touts Mary Know, yes. She I have a question, though. Should we refer to him as GOP, candidate, Larry Elder? Does anybody even know what Larry was running? Was he on stage now? He didn't get enough. Donors didn't get enough. No one cares about him. Well, okay, we'll just call him Larry Elder God. It's like, guys, yeah, guys are fine. Can I point out another thing Jesse? Just on that same? Subject is equally exhausting that just wanted to get off my chest. This is from Harvard Law School Forum on corporate governance. This is something that nobody still gets angry about, and yet we should all be very exhausted by. They're talking about female, CEOs, they're looking at the S&P 500, the foot c100 and then K 225 write 41 in the S&P 500 10 in the foot c100. One in the nick cayde 225 one woman. One woman, that's the state. This is the state where I mean, Larry Elder knows, better is what I'm trying to say. Yeah. I don't think he does actually sorry for that tangent Jesse, that's okay, speaking of more annoying men. South Carolina Supreme Court. Now has an all-male board. Hey, just replaced the lone woman on the board, Justice, Kay Hearn with a dude and of course, once they did. So they voted on the six week band for abortions and they, of course reversed their prior vote that Would not uphold the six-week ban. Well, it upheld the six-week ban but now they were reversed it. So now there will be, there will be no abortions after six weeks in South Carolina, did you ever watch Parks and Rec so like there's like these the episodes when Leslie's part of the like the Town Council or whatever, right? And the old guy has a calendar of when her periods. Are do you think that all the other men and the South Carolina like Supreme Court were like sitting around waiting for her to leave like oh my God. Like is it that time in the month for her? We shouldn't do this cake. Like yeah probably cuz she reached her maximum age so they were it was probably the day after or like they probably had her birth hour and they were like, oh sorry you're out. Its 10 a.m. you're out here. You gotta go. All right. Everybody want to vote again. And they've got cigars, I you know, when you know anything. About her was she was she conservative judge, do we know, I can't imagine any judge in South Carolina being liberal, I just use liberal but like I had enough vote. So they voted for to know four to one this time. But prior I mean, they had to have enough votes to have voted the opposite way. I don't know what what was that question here is, I guess there was a change in language. That they were voting on but the one person who dissented, the one male who descended said that, it wasn't a strong enough change in language to Warrant reversing what they had already voted. So basically go change language, more and make it stronger and so we can so we can just revote on it. It does strike me though as a very odd coincidence, if the minute she's replaced, they basically reverse this, I like I wonder if there's social pressure in these rooms like because they're all voting on a women's issue, right? Women's Healthcare women, women's rights women's issue bodily autonomy. If they're all sitting around with a woman in the room even if they're all conservatives and saying to themselves. Well like I don't I don't want to come out like two like not in front of her. Right. I don't think they care about her that. Yeah, I'm sorry. What are you talking about? It's different when you're doing it on Twitter versus doing it in someone's face like I'm gonna make a decision about women bodies. You're talking about people who for years for decades have put out, press photos of himself, a bunch of men proudly signing these horrible laws because there's no women but you know what I'm saying? You why would you put out those pictures? Why would you do that? You know what also sucks is that watching the debate Oh, Nikki Haley. She she had to Like preclude her statement that she thinks that states should just be wick on the abortion issue. She thinks it should be a state's decision but she had to preclude that and say, oh, but I'm very pro-life because I had trouble getting pregnant and my husband, like, you can't even be a woman in politics. And just say, I think women have a right without saying, oh, but I'm very pro-life. Like, if you're in the states that are like, I don't even believe in the first place. That's why you imagine being in a closed room with Nikki Haley and saying Nikki. We're we're voting. We're voting down like abortion rights period and Nikki Haley's. Like, how much experience do you have with that? Exactly like, um, and I don't get to that conversation. You don't get to the no, not in the Republican side of the aisle, I don't think that they have, they don't think that they know, in fact, that's something like a very woke. In fact, I know that they don't because here here is what one of the justices John Kittredge, who wrote for the new majority acknowledge. Okay, this is what he said. After the vote the 2023 law. Also infringes. He acknowledges that it infringes on a woman's right of privacy and bodily autonomy. But the interest of an Unborn child, but to live interest of an unborn child to live, so that's what the calling a fetus and unborn child. Well, and that's the whole thing is, they're using fetus as language when it has been scientifically. Proven that before that at six weeks, it's still an embryo. The heart has not developed. It's not a fetus yet, it's an embryo. So, anyways, they're just twisting all of this, however, they want so that they can vote on it. And the implications are that Planned. Parenthood has paused abortions right now, while they work to understand what this means and South Carolina's hospitals have already turned away patients. Jesse let me mansplain this for you. Yeah I think what you're trying to say is that no man should ever be part of the decision making on here. It should never. I don't even we don't even need to hear their opinion, you don't even need to. You don't even post it on true social whatever. We don't care believe that they have any input, they have the right to any They have to vote because they control an entire Supreme Court of the state. They should say, oh, we're gonna let the women decide that should be just until there's no women in. Just how about this, how about the women them? They're constituents. The female never situations. We're gonna let them so so their vote is, we're not Jesse this is how about this, if if you're invited to or Thanksgiving dinner, Right. A meal with these guys. That's the only place. You're allowed to voice your opinion. If you only a Thanksgiving with your family and friends, yeah, I will allow you to tell me what you think about our Bob about that. That's it. And there's more exhausting history. There's so much more. Thank you, so excited. Well, this one, I don't know why. This is crazy because you pulled this one. It's just more of a PSA for myself and others but okay, here's my daughter tomorrow. Yeah, the College Board tells tiktok and Facebook, your SAT scores. So Gizmodo ran a test and found out they went on the college board's website and they have this Search tool where you can put in your SAT score and your GPA and see what college is, you'd be accepted to that's their Search tool and what college board does. But this that found out is that they use pixels kind of like what? Be tracking app or site does and sends your data. They use pixels to track your info and they send that what they figured out as they're sending it to tiktok and Facebook for targeted ads. And Gizmodo reached out to college board and a spokesperson was like, we don't do that. They said, we do not do that, and Gizmodo sends them, a screenshot of their tests, proving that they do that. And they're like, oh that's just the that's just the efficacy of our advertising. So you do that. Like, how could you say you don't? And they're like, we don't pass on any personal information, no names, no addresses. And it's like, how are these scores not personal? What do you that just doesn't fall into this? So, anyways, Be aware that this is happening on sites like this. So like if it's happening on College Board is it happening on FAFSA? Like I don't know, there are very in any ways because Moto found that 20,000 other apps are sharing your information with big Tech obviously. Like so every time has your bush just like Black Rock and eyes are Bush Target. Big Tech just lean into what you're doing. You're sharing everything with everyone, you're giving and selling all of our personal information constantly just lean into it. We know this Rose now, right. Like there could they've come modified know Jesse you. But they I didn't even think about this. I mean this didn't happen when I was flying for schools, they weren't I wasn't getting targeted ads on. I mean I wasn't on social media but I wasn't getting targeted ads on my Instagram. Go here, go here, try here. Like that just was not happy. I think actually that had more to do with your D, averaging, your 720? Yeah, I think actually, we should create an app or like a, like a side application of some kind that whenever you type anything into a computer ever, it shows you the picture of the person who effectively controls that data, whether it's Mark Zuckerberg or it's Elon Musk or its or Sergey and Larry or its Sachin Nadella. You should just have a face pop up and be like thanks. Thanks constantly. Well, because to be fair to suck into the Dell, it's a bit more of a democracy there. Well maybe, but like you can't, you can't avoid. I mean, you can avoid using the Search tool, but you can't avoid going on college board. Like I can, I don't. Okay but these are just can't like it's this is wild. Like you can choose what apps you get on your phone. You know what Chrome just did? They Chrome updated automatically? I want to my computers and it said, like we've added enhanced privacy and I was like oh cool. And it was like, do you want to see the settings? And of course, no one clicks the settings. But I clicked on the settings and the enhanced privacy was the ability to turn off all these things that they turned on which was sharing all my information. So, the hands privacy was actually, unless you go in and look at the settings to see that, they took it from not giving that much to give giving everything with your ability to turn it off. Then like, you'd have to click through and turn it back off and order to get enhanced privacy. Think the, this is exhausting. Jesse. I we also heard a couple weeks ago the colleges themselves. This is Supposedly, they track student. So when they send emails to students, The universities themselves track, how the students interact with that, right? Where they, if they go to the website, how long they're spending on the website, what they're clicking, what their website, everything, totally. Yeah, because they're pretty using it as a measurements, or they're using, yes, perspective. They're using it as a measure of Engagement to see if they, how much they actually care about going there and they're using that data as part of the decision process. To admit students. Supposedly, I mean, yeah. Anyways, blue Jesse's mind. There's one more. Just I mean, everybody does that, but I didn't know there were using it in a decision process later on, like, oh, you this person spent 15 minutes more interested than you were gonna admit them. Even though, the point, the point is just when you, when you wake up, I'm talking about, you specifically, when you wake up, crawl out of your coffin, whatever you sleep in. And engage with the world, it's all being tracked and sold and by, you know, I mean, you have to know this, I know there are there. I woke up and use the Peloton app this morning. The, the phone has, like, when I move it, it has like, you know, motion sensor Direction, sensors. It actually is a heat sensor. So they know everything like there was so scary. Two years ago about people like having phones in their pockets and people, they were tracking the temperature of the people write. The scariest thing to me is that it has tracked my behavior so much that it will predict things that I don't even know that I need. Yet, in a targeted ad, it'll be like, oh, you did in your upstairs. So you must need this lamp. I don't like, oh shit, I needed a lamp. Oh no, don't listen. What does it tell you that you need to buy three more kegs? Who stayed in the room. We got rid of it. Okay. This was actually sent to me because I'm on my FIFA Soap Box lately, which for good reason because now, all of a sudden everybody's interested in pifas, I've seen tons of yeah. Actually, I'm crediting Jesse with starting the phone was Antipas Revolution. Yes, just Always paper straws are more likely to contain, harmful forever, chemicals and plastic straws. New research finds Which like obviously because without them, they would degrade. So now we are faced with choosing interestingly, save the turtles or do we save ourselves from pifas? Neither just all go, everybody should be dead. All right. Those are your those are your four three and a quarter is mine's Larry. Oh, male board and all the same version, I don't care about the second two. The first two, I care about college board tracks, your everything and paper straws have pifas I think by definition though, The last one that we're glossing over, is the most exhausting. Like yeah, you're creating a solution for a thing that is plastic in the ocean. By making it paper and biodegradable, which now adds forever chemicals into our body actually biodegradable. So I mean, like it, basically everything about the solution is a fake solution like as in humans can't even think their way out of their own shity. Problems, they created, like we can't figure out except that. I don't know if you've been to Starbucks in the last year. If you buy an iced drink at Starbucks, they don't even give you a straw anymore that. So why do we even need straws? Instead, you're sipping it out of the plastic top, which is full of people getting that instead, right? Vote. Can you just vote yourself? That's correct. I'm exhausting you, I'm going with paper straws. I'm going with the last one because it hits all of Jesse's buttons. I gonna go and it's The Larry Elder one because you didn't even. The story is so much worse than you even. You were kind to Larry Elder was he has this. He has this exchange at this conference with a, with a woman, who knows the data and has done the research and, and even even despite that he's like, I don't, you're wrong. No, does I don't agree with you couldn't quote, the entire exchange know. I know, it's just the point in the exchange. I don't know where you're getting your data or something like that but that's not right. It was like show me the date. He says, show me the date which I don't agree. I don't, I don't know that. I agree, I don't know that, I agree with that, I'd like to see this is what's amazing about that, this is, and this is the Vivek Trump Playbook, right? You make the assertion that is demonstrably false. Someone gives you information that shows that it's false and you say I don't trust your Source but you never gave a source for your assertion Like he never had to say like that. I like, he says, I think X, he just States it like X and is true. This is the whole truth thing. X is true. And then you say, no, it's not. Here's the data. And then they say, no, I don't trust the source of your data or show me the sources of that data. I'm not sure about the attribution for that as if he had any fucking attribution. I love that. I think it's, it's the male thing you can do. I don't. It is I don't understand how you get so amped. It excited that their assholes like this it like a good fiery like hate. Oh, see. Like I like a good asshole. That's why I just represents a political party where I think it's about a third of constituents don't Evolution and all. So think that no and also think that the Earth is flat. Yeah, right. So what so anyway so I'm going to just Both the all-male boards. I don't oh this is tough. Which not actually, yeah, I'm gonna pivot to the, I'm voting for all male boards voting for Women's Healthcare as well. That's my tiebreaker I wanted to. Sorry, I do want a non-sequitur here. Just to say, you said correctly said that like a third of the, you know, the people that might vote for Larry Elder. Can't don't think the world is round. The Earth is round. Yeah. How is it that 96% of investors? Can agree that every director is qualified for their jobs. A third of people don't even think the Earth is not doing the due diligence. Unbelievable free. Float analytics, subscribe to our product and we can help them with that at a premium level. We will actually provide some level of Consulting and we can actually, we can really help you do your duty. Let us help you, but let's do winners. This is the longest. Let's do winners and other things, I'll go predictions. I'll go quickly my winner historically, historical. Oh my historically, black college and university graduate from Howard University Fannie Willis. Wow, she's my winner of the week. I like the Jim Jordan is now investigating her Great. Yeah, taken down by a black woman, from a non Ivy League school, pure poetry. I have a much better winner than you, though. Oh, what's my winner is college dorm room poster makers because what percentage of Southern college students will have Trump's mugshot as a poster in their room and well before school starts. Can you imagine? That's the greatest poster. To go along with that? What percentage of North Eastern college students will ironically have a trump. That's right. I mean like someone is minting money off of that mugshot. That's amazing. The company bio Agave for making straws, out of agave, skins that I've been third-party tested with no pee fuzz and now that I mentioned them they're gonna Skyrock. I don't want to blame her this. But why do we need straws? What do we do? That's what I said. I said if you don't I told Matt earlier except for post-surgery situations, have your own glass or stainless steel reusable, straw that you bring nobody need that. You don't need that either. Drink it just like a drink but also if there's gonna be a lot of assholes out, won't do that by. What's probably male run company funded by men. I couldn't. let's, Great predictions. Please. Your money. I have a quick prediction I think I made before but now I'm absolutely, I'm absolutely certain, I don't know if I've done it on this show before I hope I haven't, but former strive CEO Vivek ramaswamy. Is gonna ride this whole anti-esg, anti whatever anti women. Everything he's gonna ride it. Into being Trump's pick for vice president. Yeah. To that horrific statement prediction. You just made, I'm predicting that by the end of 2024, I will have moved to New Zealand. I will live in New Zealand and a tiny house. That's off-grid sheep will be my only friend. Bye forever sheep. Wait, can I come yeah? Yes. Yes, you in Courtenay. Which brings me to my prediction, which has nothing to do with either of those predictions. It's much better. Florida's Board of Education, this is the story. Florida, education is forcing State College's to fire employees who don't use bathrooms of their assigned sex at Birth. Every employee my prediction every employee fired by a Florida State College because Florida is deeply interested in where you shit applies to work at free float and wants to dig up, dirt on every CEO founder or board member, who donated to Ron DeSantis to the Florida. Republicans we give them jobs and not once do we asked them where they urinate? Because we don't care. That's my prediction that's our show. Seven hour long show. We're on day, two. This is like a bathroom. That's Damian. Robles Jesse, the money was for I am and your analyst home at MSG, we'll be back next week until then goodbye.
