Rattling. Live. There you are from your ESG walk-in pantry. I can kind of walk into my Pinter. I have to kind of stoop and kind of move over by the dog food. I kind of get in there. It's a business pants Friday, show here at August, 4th Lane Studios, featuring some of your favorites, Jesse the money Whisperer. Wait and analysts whole matte mascardi. Yeah, on today's weekly wrap-up? Shiny glass Cliffs A.I, Jesus. Dual class shares enables sexual harassment and Florida, still sucks. Yeah. Why Florida? All right, let's do this story on week. Are you ready? To hear that music. I expect representative Sean Cason to walk in the door. I'm really hoping that representative, Andy, Barr answers my request to talk to. Well, I'll say this, about ISS. I requested an interview with ISS yesterday. So if anyone, if any of our listeners did they work for ISS? Please tell your bosses that they very rudely shot. Me down within like, 30 minutes, but I did. I sent a follow-up saying actually, you know, we actually do have very nice conversations with people. We've had a lot of people from your field and come on. Don't don't throw us away so quickly. They were that one and that was gonna say I was surprised they responded the first time at all. Oh, the quickest rejection ever? My history was when we asked him to the show, he was the quickest. Yes, ever. I mean, within under two minutes, he said, yeah, I'll do your show. All right? He asked nothing about the show. He had no idea who I was, but I don't know, like, building a city. Yes, I don't like this is great. All right, come on. All right, do the story. No particular order Adidas pledges to donate 110 million euros to Charities that fight anti-Semitism racism after selling about 400 million euros worth of Yeezys. So, they're now, they're now selling their backlog of Yeezy shoes. and I, I guess they're sort of Guiltily committing. Some of that money to hate group that wait that's there. So, The story says they generated 150 million in operating profits from the 400 million dollars in revenue from the sales of the Yeezys. Yes. And there are donating 110 million. Yeah. So is like Gus the, you know, shoe designer who worked with Yeezy demanding is 40 million and bonuses? What is that? Actually, a good point, it would have been a better PR move to just say, you know what, we'll give you all the operating profit from 100% of the operating profits. Basically, no Revenue just a prophet, but no, they even had to go a little bit, a little bit under the prophet just a little bit. Like they're, I think they're hoping nobody notices, they took a taste of his on the way out. Well let me tell you here, we report this back in the day but a quick reminder, a quick free flow analytics. Reminder about the people on Adidas board. This is a board of 16. People only two people of color. They have absolutely no influence one is Jing. Ulrich, she has 6% influence. She's a banker from JP Morgan who serves on zero board committees and she only attended six of nine meetings last year. Okay? That's one of them six. Not other person of color is a former athlete. Jackie join. Our cursey, who has zero percent influence, And also serves on all so serves on zero board committees. So maybe they should donate some of that money to finding better directors that may prevent relationships with anti-semite. I don't know. Maybe directors that show up and or have some say at the meetings. Yeah, I got a lot of a little bit and Jackie join a kersey's bio. She listens 16 things, 15 of them are the medals that she's won. No, I'm serious at different. I'm just saying. I'm just saying, look at like, don't poo poo. It I have been one life. Know you could have just said, what metals you could have had one line about like one 15 medals that very, you know, how to list. That's true, you don't want every single metal in there came in first, in the 1999, bringing some of his boys back over at Disney Making this section planning their even more muddled. So he's bringing back Tom Staggs and Kevin Maher. Kev, that's Kev doll. Kev doll. Yeah, these were two of the people who were purportedly up for to be the next CEO, a couple of years ago, he's bringing them back on as quote, unquote, Consultants, whatever, that means. So and don't forget that they just extended blah bloggers contract to 2024, I believe a few months ago. So once again, they did, yeah, the craziest succession. Bond boondoggle. Is that the right word? Well looks like corporate history. Continues what I read was that they brought he brought them back to advise on selling parts of Disney. Yeah. But but let's go on there's more there now. Part of the succession plan again. Should we call it an anti-wolf? Because I woke up like are they basically joining? Would they be joining a Disney that sells itself off in the wake of lower revenue and lower profits and a state that basically hates it for like a thing? About a gay person? One this is a good say way to my next story because Disney is the perfect Company to have a great, big shiny glass Cliff, right? You gotta have a woman take over for It to you really do. I know you're at this point, I know you're thinking go for the handsome white, man, but you gotta have a, it's probably be a black Trans. Woman, is what it should be. If you're gonna like glass Cliff it up. Speaking of glass Cliff, I have three big glass, Cliff stories. That's my third story of the week. The first is they find a replacement for Anthony fauci. It's, of course. Oh, the most, the most hated RFK Jr. Hated good, man. In America. He is the what he was the director of the National Institute of allergy and infectious diseases being replaced by Dr. Jeanne marrazzo. So it's a glass Cliff Laurel there. Yeah, she's my boss, one of my favorite glass Cliff stories ever, the new CEO at Jetstar Stephanie Tully, she took over less than a year ago, she apologized for the entire 20 year, history of the company. It was the greatest of allergy, 20 years of sucking ship apologize for. Do you think it who told her to do that? Do you think the board was like we will hire you a CEO but you need to take the fall for everything that's ever happened to this company ever. And finally a story I think Jesse's going to talk about a little bit BT group over there in the UK. This is the headline BT hinges turnaround on first female CEO Alison. Kirkby. So, there you go. The couple of glass, Cliff stories there. Um, that's a lot of glass cliffing. I don't know if I Like because Disney one and the glass Cliff one feel kind of the same to me that all feels the same, it all feels like failure. Failure taste, like failure, and the final big story of the week is probably just for me, it's a big nerdy, corporate governance, ESG story. But when I talk about way too much the SEC adopts new rules on cybersecurity disclosures for public companies here, the three big takeaways they're gonna have to disclose and 8 KS when there's been a cybersecurity incident. Of course, I like that, of course. The companies is probably going to be able to They're gonna fudge when they when they actually discover the incident, when it's actually incident. And they're gonna play all kinds of games with this one. Six years from the incident, they discover the, what is supposed to be four days after the incident occurred? The second, wow. The second is they're gonna have to have annual disclosures in the 10K to just talk about cybersecurity risks. The third is my favorite one to finally disclosed about cybersecurity governance, including with oversight by the board. So, what I'm hoping is that we're finally not only will be a push to get cybersecurity experts on the board level. But we'll finally learn who actually has, you know, has these expertise, what they're doing a battle, all the stuff you will never believe who is against this who on the FPS. Hester Peirce right? Well SEC. Commissioner has prepared. That's against it. That's the crazy thing. It was a three to two vote, a party line, vote, Democrats versus Republicans. I don't really, how could this not be unanimous thing? I think we're not. I think we've stopped. Sorry, it's important content of the regulation. It's just who proposed it. And if it was somebody on the Democrat, then the Republicans have to seriously those, if you're focusing, all your attention on protecting shareholder wealth, shareholder value. Why would this be an important disclosure? I don't understand. Well, I, it's specialist and said, AI could wipe out Humanity. First like, you rest to shareholders security risk to me, it feels like maybe something we should understand. All right, those are my big, my four big stories Adidas, you know, kind of fake pledging money, Disney succession, craziness glass, Cliff stuff, and cyber security. Disclosure the SEC. Like, you know, tell me if I missed something, I I intentionally avoided all my favorite, all the Elon Musk stuff. There was a, he was like, suing some group for, you know, disclosing that there's a bunch of hate on Twitter. And that was funny. I don't know what else what else did I miss? I don't know the X sign falling. Yeah, I don't know. He denied inspectors access to the building. It was blinking all night in the neighbor's were like this is, this is the worst I'm having epileptic seizures. Something about Mark Zuckerberg, eating 4,000 calories a day. I saw that it's a lot of McDonald's, so I don't know. Now that it's August, though, the the business news really kind of takes a break, but what do you think, Jesse? You gotta you gotta vote here. Yeah, I think I'll vote for Your Enthusiasm over the cybersecurity. Oh wow, that the story but for Damien's enthusiasm I don't I you know what, I didn't even know the story of the Adidas thing happened. I knew they how much revenue they made. I didn't know how much they donated. So, I don't know how I can consider that story of the week when I didn't even know what happened this year, when I do is read the fucking news. The other one I passed over is a yeah, another more investigation into Vince McMahon, but we'll cover that later too. I'm gonna let Damian Break the tie because I'm gonna go with glass Cliff. I think I just, I do like apologizing for everything that ever happened at a company. She's been there for, like, five months, she's apologized for 20 years of company behavior. That to me, seems like the glass Cliffs thing you can do. So, I'm gonna go with that one. um, I mean, I support you in spirit, Jesse, but it's hard for me to to put my flag into the nerdiest most boring story of the week ever. So I'm just like a shame. It wasn't hard for you to pick it. I know, I know, I'm a shame to anoint that I, I I'm gonna go with Matt, probably, the biggest thing. I'm gonna go with that because I feel like we're the only company that I look, I troll so many thousands of articles, I think we're and I look at all the ESG news. I think we're the only one who takes this glass, Cliff stuff, seriously. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna support us by saying, it's these, what, you know, a sick. I am a headline like this BT hinges, turn around on, first female, CEO. I've just kind of sick of those stories, anyway, all the stories and that gets. So, the story of the week is glass, Cliffy stuff. And that means we're on to good list of the week. The crown just wake up. Where she stopped feeding your ridiculous baby. Miles Abbott. And come to that. It's not right? And we we're miles. What is the Xcel of Abbott Labs. So I'm gonna call this baby miles Abbott. Just like a sign scientist. Data science. Yes, she's data Queen. Okay, I'm starting. Taylor, Swift reportedly. Gave her entire touring company. 55 million in bonuses. That's 55 million, is that it includes a hundred thousand to truckers that are following. The that are on the tour, she gave them all 100,000 dollars. That's seems significant. But the air conditioners Hopefully, they just cut up. Yeah, I I mean, this is something I'm not gonna complain too much about this story, but can I just tell you that could they give a bonus back to the people who bought the tickets to is, that possible? I saw I saw on tiktok, yes, I was looking at tiktok. I saw some footage from Gillette Stadium here. In New England, these people hosting these people were accounts. So far away from the state, they paid thousands of dollars for the tickets Jesse thousand. Oh, they were so far away from the stage that they could not see Taylor Swift thousands of dollars trying to do here. And I were having this conversation earlier this morning actually and it's not really on them like on who It's not really on Taylor Swift. Like it's on the resellers Live Nation, Ticketmaster like they're the ones that are hiking the prices. I mean, sure, could she take a stand? Probably. But like, I mean, why should she and Beyonce have to forgo millions of dollars, like look? Yeah, it's annoying. Oh, I know that I still think this is good for gazi, which is probably was as popular as Taylor Swift. I mean, definitely they limited, you've never heard, did they had a cap on their ticket prices for shows? It was like, what was like eight dollars or 12 dollars? Yeah, MSRP. There is there. Why does she need to make a billion dollars, like the Acme Lounge in Providence Rhode Island? They were not playing MSG about this? She's not getting all of the revenue from the surgeon or whatever he's doing anything. Wrong. It just it's just a fun. It's a little fun greed. That's okay. Her old jams, spent like half the 90s fighting Ticketmaster and they did an entire tour where they went to like, you know, ballparks and they played it, you know, and Gus's backyard once and they played it a, you know, Pigs die. Yeah. And they lost millions of dollars because Ticketmaster owns, the right to sell the tickets at all of the big venues Pearl. Jam, went to Congress and said they have a monopoly on on these venues in these ticket pricing and Congress didn't care. Nobody cared everyone called them big whiners. And now, we're paying dollars. A ticket to go see beyond say, or Taylor Swift because, Ticketmaster jacked up the prices, they can't even sell the tickets. They don't know how to actually digitally sell the tickets without the whole thing crashing. And it's not Taylor Swift's fault that she's going out and playing a show. No masterful, he has surge pricing, and he just like, Sports industry. There's bigger problems here. Yeah. You can't ask the artists to to then give the money back to the person who went to go. See. But you can't ask them to give back to her stakeholders. What she's doing, just back, 55 million dollars, which, you know, their her estimated take-home and like, 2013. 2014 was 55 million dollars for the entire year. She gave a Year's worth of salary to her people. Her estimated take home, was only 55 million dollars. Are you kidding me? That was in 2013 for the early but but that's a great point and she setting a precedent Beyonce and Jay-Z's net worth is two and a half billion and I didn't see her giving out. Bonuses Taylor Swift's is 600. I'm sure she probably has Taylor might have good PR. I'm sure. Beyonce's giving back to summer. I don't know. I don't know. We can't assume that's true. That's true. Good. Yeah, look, I'm not it's fine. She Okay with it. I'm okay it's good but it's not as good. Next door is better. Yes, which is here's the headline egg. Jesus shows a fascinating refashioning of the biblical Prophet for the modern era. I have, I spent another half hour this morning my gripe with this, is that he was, he looked like he looks on every course come here. The programmer is, like a white guy from, you know, like Iowa. Like, I don't know, he didn't look either Middle Eastern or Jewish. So I don't know what the hell, I what audit for three minutes? It was I would say this area and Jesus. Okay. This I actually went on, I found it. Very relaxing, and soothing I had to tell you very weird. It is, I like yeah, I like this. I was like, and but and his voice. Like so if you go to Twitch and I think it's asked underscore Jesus is just, you can ask a question of Jesus in the chat and Jesus will answer random questions and there he answers questions about what video games, how do you beat them recipes? Which it was like. It was like things things were like. I mean, it's twitched so people asking, like, my friend is gay, should I cover them in mayonnaise? And, and Jesus was the answer, the answer things like that are like us. Thank you, tdd 63. I believe that if your friend is okay, with being covered in man, right? Then that is why not that you, you too can do at your own place. Something down on But like some sheets and like gross sheets or some plastic or something on the bed. I've watched it for like the hand motion is he does this all the time. Like, my people, my flock, I think it's fantastic. Because it's hysterical. There's basically no biblical value to it. There's, if you're a religious person, it is absurd. It's there's that, well, it wasn't going on, right? Yeah, but it's just so funny. It's, it's hysterical. All right. You asked was asking Jesus about like, you know, the our stories. Like, do you think Elon Musk should, you know, dot dot or whatever? It's gets great, take a minute. It's the goodest, the week, for sure. My choice, although just you something to say about my choice, the Woman's World Cup was TV's. Most watched show amid record breaking viewership. That's the game against another one's most watched show on television. What do you have to say about this Jesse? So I had actually picked this. Yeah, I was very excited about it, and I was having dinner with my husband and I was sharing this with him and he was like hmm, what he was skeptical. So he's like pull up the article and what the article says which you have down is that it's the highest ever english-language viewership of a group stage match in women's FIFA World Cup history. Very, very specific. But how I had presented it to Rob like, oh my God, record-breaking viewership most watched show and he was like, I don't think it's that one. It was it? Not the biggest show on, it was the biggest show on TV last we could Talent. There's a lot of caveat World in there. Get over it. Don't have, you don't have yet, the women's soccer team, I just thought that the women's soccer team was making bigger gains, but when I realized America, that's a big game, It's not that it wasn't a big game. It were there. The headline suggests? I know. I know. It's like the most watching ever that's ever happened here. I didn't read it that way. I read it as not when I know that that regular Network TV viewership is down in general. So I know that most people aren't even watching TV but I read it all the most it was the most watched show on TV. It's something I don't know. It was the highest ever English language viewers. Oh stop group. Sorry. Match in Women's World Cup. Those are the three that was good Swift giving back AI Jesus. I cannot vote for Women's World Cup. He's gonna vote. I'm voting for egg Jesus, which was an hour of entertainment this week. It's always good for us. I can't vote for, I'm sorry. I know you guys gave me this this long. Wait like, you know, something this long-winded rebuttal about Why tell her she can't blame Tower, Swift blah, blah blah blah. I can't. I don't know. I want to see. I want to see her take home. If I'm gonna make fun of Adidas, I want to see where her take. Hold it for once. You were taking was on this tour. I'm gonna go for Oh my God, I'm Really Gonna vote for egg Jesus. Yes, you are. I am only because I I've been feeling a little stressed this week, and I actually did make me feel relaxed. So I'm gonna give I'm gonna, it's the only thing on Twitch while he didn't work for two days out of the week, just because he wasn't working. I'm glad you're. You're your feet froze there. I didn't hear the insult. Well, maybe you froze. All right. Good ladies to The way Jesus. but next up is, Oh, the week. Um, oh, these are really bad. So sad over this. So I was angry this morning over this. All right, number one, I got four here. Number one is really easy, Vince McMahon? Yeah, proving that dual clusters are the worst thing ever, just so everybody knows. Vince McMahon was subpoenaed this this time by the federal government over the sexual harassment and, and his payment to basically silence. The sexual harasser, the sexually harassed. So Vince McMahon subpoenaed again, somehow magically whisked himself. Back into the executive chair at WWE, because he has dual class shares. And the Vince, the McMahon family owns 100% of the Class B shares, the family being so him, you know, Stephanie has A few years and then their trust has shared. So Vince McMahon's. Number one, that one was easy but number two was the one that really set me off this week. Ed Blum. Who's that? No. Ed Blum is no Ed. Blum is the lawyer behind the affirmative action case that went to the Supreme Court that struck down affirmative action. Had to stop there. He just stopped there, right? So he's the lawyer who filed that. He started the group. He filed the lawsuit and he's lever. He's been fighting affirmative action for decades like he apparently hates the idea. That black people or people of color anywhere should have anything of their own. He doesn't like that. Now he's got a new case. Here's the headline, conservative activist behind us are primitive action cases. Sues Venture Capital fund. It's fucking Next. Level asshole re the target of the suit, is fearless fund. It is a black women owned black women, run Venture Capital firm. They have a grant contest which Awards, black women who own small businesses 20,000 dollars in Grants and digital tools. Help them grow their business. It's a privately held Venture fund. He is suing them for discriminating on the basis of race. I mean, what? He's, he's suing because they only are giving out grants to Black. Is this women run companies? I mean, it's kind of like what Ron DeSantis is doing. Rhonda says, is such an important, a hole that he's actually making his own party, not care, about fighting woken anymore, right? This is the same thing, like people like, Ed, Blum, and Vivic, take are taking it so far that it's just, it's absurd. I mean, it's absurd exposing themselves as as it isn't about the issue. It's about something else. Right? Like it wasn't affirmative action. It's really you just hate black women. Like there's no, this is a privately held Venture Capital fund. Private, like, they can spend their money, however, they want, they started their own Foundation, it's a private Foundation, they give out grants to black. Women run companies. In fact one of their funders is Walmart who also gives out grants to minority run companies and all sorts of, you know, issues they didn't fund, or he didn't, you know, Sue Walmart's foundation. He sues a tiny black woman run Venture Capital fund. I mean, why not? Sue, the KKK for only allowing white people is there any basis for like can you could just do anyone without? Well that's Asus. That's the absurdity. Yes it goes because he's not eligible because he's not eligible for the reward, right? He's not eligible for a grant as a white man, and therefore, suing No One's Gonna take this seriously. She, she's gonna have lawyers that are able to accept that. This is the, This Is The Logical Next Step from that Supreme Court case. No, that's what he's doing. He's going after this fun, but there are also talking about going after diversity programs at corporations, anyone that focuses on diversity now, he's he, it's an intimidation tactic. He's willing to file a lawsuit against anyone. That means everyone becomes a Target. That means this is what's happening with the ESG anti-wolf rhetoric soon as everyone's a target for a lawsuit, everyone stops saying they do the thing or they don't do the thing anymore because they just don't want it the to deal with being sued, right, but the fact that he Sued. A black woman run Venture Capital fund. You want to know how hard that is to find? There's like 10 of them are. There's that many. Yeah, you literally cannot find them. That is in fact the stats suggest that black women run companies make they have no Venture Capital, funding? Forget. Yeah. Women LED private companies, can't raise Capital. It's so fucking heinous. Yeah, and it made me, I started down a free float analytics alert before I had a data krash problem, but it, we know that 74% of the market cap. For publicly traded equities is run by white men, right? But their influence on market cap, what are we talking about? That's just the men. That's not the white women. Like as soon as you get into people of color, you're talking about an infant messy, small amount of money that these people control. That's who you're suing. You're suing them. What are we doing? Fucking asshole. You are, you know why? He's Number two. Why do you have anything else? Why is that number two? I want now. I mean you could it was a bad week, it was a bad. Oh we're not gonna vote for that, you know, you're gonna vote for that. But but here are the the next two, not a number three is anti-wolf rhetoric. Okay, here's the headlines for Bud Light. Bud Light sails, down 10% after right. Wing boycott over campaign with transgender influence her. Also a Bud, Light headline Bud. Light owner ab-inbev beats forecasts in quarter dominated by boycott. Let's not forget that. The a b in Bev, they control like over 600 Brands, right? They are a massive multinational, beer. Brewer a few Hicks. Not drinking Bud. Light is, is really not gonna. It's not gonna hurt the overall company. That the amazing part is you can have two narratives, right? The New York Post can talk about how the boycott is killing Bud Light. And then the rest of the world just reads the quarterly filing that says we made a shit ton of money. No to mention that some of their other brands. All so compete against Bud Light. Yes. I would like to see and and they've said that those have seen an increase in sales in increase because people are not drinking but life right in the same company. That's right. They need to pay attention to our social media. I agree. I agree because we're basically exposing the fact that you think you have all of these choices. But if you go and look at who their owned by, there are going to be a few dominating players. Yeah, I will take a look at that series. I have not looked yet. How about this one Vivek? Oh, we have to this is yeah, this is an email that he just. I'm on his email list. This is what the email except it's look how much I hate the globalist email, quote, two years ago, Wes World economic Forum, tried to throw false bait by naming me. A young Global leader. When I explicitly rejected, their ridiculous award, they repeatedly failed to remove my name despite Escalade ball and so we're false base. That's that's his words. So what he did was he sued the world. Here we go. In order to have them remove his name from an award that they gave out two years ago, to him for being a global leader. He didn't want any association with World economics that work, that lost to work. Yeah, the lawsuit, they apparently just said, sorry, like we didn't know you really didn't want this and they took his name down that was but he's using it as a campaign Finance tool. He sending it, like look how I fight the global he used, the money he got from the source family to buy a lawyer. They did not. He did not send back the money from the Paul and Daisy Soros Foundation. What in 2011, they handed him a scholarship and he started turns out. He started Roy vent, the company that made him a billionaire. He started revent with another Soros scholar recipient. It was too Paul and Daisy, Soros Foundation scholar, recipients. The, his co-founder at Roy van actually reached out to him, because he heard of him through the Soros Foundation. And that's how they interacted and then they started relevant together. They built up together. It was back in that fucking money. So ostensibly a career and an education billed on affirmative action and, you know, quote unquote, race based Global giving a globalist money. And then, finally, you mentioned this already, but the anti-walk literally hate themselves at this point. The headline was even Republicans, are getting tired of non-stop political Crusades against. Yeah, it's because of vivid and Ron descent is because it's, they're taking it too far. I mean, to sue, the world economic forum for being offered. I mean, it's just it's, it's silly performative nonsense. And I do think people are recognizing that like they're getting one narrative, but as soon as you read, even a little bit more, you realize, like, oh, what are we really doing? What are we accomplishing? Can't go to Disney anymore. I can't, I can't watch a Marvel movie. I can't drink beer. I can't watch a movie. I can't go to Disneyland. I can't go to Walmart Target, like I can't, I can't even go to Chick-fil-A anymore. Like, what, what is my life? What's the point? Well, yeah, hey, I just could solve some of those problems. I'm gonna ask egg this after the show. Yeah, number four. Last year's. Las Vegas. Oh now I could have just said, Las Vegas is just left it at that, of course but after A. Like basically they've been living in hell yeah. It's a lot of month ever recorded know it is that hottest month ever July sets all time lost Vegas Heat record. They have decided to spend 48 million dollars of taxpayer harder and taxpayer money, not on Wheeler conservation, not on air cooling systems, not on combating climate change know, they are giving it to the boring waiting. They're giving actual taxpayer money on that to a world's richest man. Actual money, they will be funding. The boring company will dig a 68 mile tunnel Network Under Las Vegas. Instead of building, even they did, they their problem is traffic. They didn't decide to build public transport which on average public transport carries, build a Subway there per train. It's like 1 to 4,000 people. The way boring company works is per hour, they can get like something like 500 to maybe, you know, a couple hundred people because the boring company builds a tunnel for cars unsafe tunnel and then they drive Teslas in it. Yeah, that's what they do. I read that the really yeah, that's all it is. That's all they do. I read that the city council passed this unanimously in like 12 minutes and they. Yeah, and they also on the council and the same meeting almost an hour discussing, whether someone should have a permit to build a vestibule on their property, that's correct. Yeah. So did Elon just bribe all of those people, this is the cult of personality just said, of course they, they just said, give my money to Elon. Let him hang out here. Well, That's why still make us cooler. This is why cities and states were throwing cash at Jeff Bezos, right? Yeah, I mean, but they finally wise up a little bit, but they were, they were giving him tax breaks to build headquarters there and Etc. That just just for context, sake, Lake Mead, where they get most of their water in Las Vegas as a historic lows, or lamb is just about at a level where it's called a Deadpool. Meaning, the water can no longer flow through the damn, it's too low to actually flow. And then it's like unusable, they get 90% of their water from the Colorado River. And this is how they're spending their money. Unless they plan on becoming mold people because it's too hot on the surface. This is a stupidest way to fucking spend, not to mention that I've ever heard of losses million. Wow. Number one, in the list of cities that people are moving to Las Vegas. So there you go. Your options are Vince McMahon which needs nothing else. Just get this over with rhetoric in Las Vegas, clean sweep? I was hoping I might, I might have you like stop for a second and be like, I mean, there's Vegas that they are, all right. For to get even more tired, I'm not actually tired yet so this would be good. Jesse previously obviously. Okay, will do challenge accepted, so I'm gonna go back to BT Group which you briefly mentioned in your glass glass Cliff section. The headline, I read was telecoms giant BT appoints first female CEO and its history. Yeah, good for them like this before because why, why are you framing this like it's good. You've been around Kirby 1800s? What why is this good finally? Qualified woman. Talk to see works, but the rest of the headline continues, its her priority will be clearing out almost 55,000 steps though. I will say cuz she's got on their board, but this is Sheila, but this one, but this is why I highlight these classical. Yeah, often the only companies that women Are being promoted at you have, so I got news for you. in like eight months when we run out of money because we don't have enough clients and no fund us Um, Jesse, you're gonna be the CEO. I'm Gonna Make You the CEO. You might have to clear out all the staff and do all the work by yourself. He's looking at me, right? How are you supporting a new baby? Sorry, that's just the way it's gonna work, but I did do a little bit more. You know, I did the obvious next step and went to our data, just because I was curious like, okay, who are the men that are on this board, without this to happen, boys. But what I found and I'm very surprised is that, okay? So they're bored is only 27% female, that's not surprising, okay? They just have year later, hundreds of years later, but what shocked me is that there the most influential person on their board is a female. And her name is Isabelle, Francis Hudson, and I couldn't track it to nepotism. So, I'm a little bit confused. I'm like, huh. Yeah, there are several others that have there's like four people with high influence. But I was just a little bit confused. This is the novice analyst in me where I kind of hit a dead end but the problem just seems like. Yeah, the problem just he's at the next eight with the highest influence are all man, which is unusual. Yeah, right. But I'm kind of mad at Isabel like you seven years. You can't Advocate to get mad at, you know, leadership, why don't be mad? She could have been advocating to get women in there. Well, okay, you are look, you're highlighting something important, but but the bigger takeaway here, I think is the structure of UK boards in general. They are very much a democracy right influences often spread kind of evenly. So there's not any one person who has that kind of power she does have the most but these boards are not set up to be run by dictators. That said, they are set up to do this. 73% of the board members are connected within two degrees or less and they own those connected. Directors, do own 703% of the boards influences, as well, which means it may not be dictators like one person, but this is one set of people who have been in charge who continue to be in charge, how How thick do you think the branch? They're letting Allison Kirkby. Walk out on is like, she went, she has, according to our data, she had 4% of the influence on the board. The lowest they put that woman in charge, that's what's wild. And then the rest of the board is going to what? Give her a lot of rope with which to hang herself. Well, I'll come back to that in my prediction. But but what's interesting is that they're gonna start cutting these expenses with her salary because her predecessor made 3.8 million and she's gonna make 1.1 first options. Are you have a, you know, you can be the janitor in the boardroom or you can be the CEO of the company with less pay and you have to apologize for the 20 years of history of this company. What do you take? So this is exhausting to me that is right. Well, yeah, I mean, she volunteered. She she's there for it. All right. Next story. Wisconsin's, dairy industry. Relies on undocumented immigrants. The state won't let them legally drive. They can register a car. Yeah, they can have a car, buy a car, and register a car, but the minute they drive that car. They get pulled over and they're just a massing tickets, like they want to go buy groceries, they get behind the wall of their car. They don't have a look, they can't get licenses, they can't get licenses because they're undocumented. Yeah, yeah. So but this whole, the whole dairy industry relies on undocumented immigrants and I bring this up because there's a lot of Industries in the US, Like farming construction production, they all rely on undocumented immigrants. And their, I'm sure most of them have similar stories to this, where they're trapped in like they're trying to get away from heinous things. In this case, a lot of these undocumented immigrants are coming from Latin America so they're get trying to get away from like, like Wars there. Basically, the good news. Is that the monsters? He might be working in Wisconsin. I know there's a big Progressive push is just changed over the entire makeup of the Supreme Court there in Wisconsin. So maybe this is the type of thing that they can help change it. Just yeah, if you're undocumented, immigrant come work for free float, like, we will allow you to drive cars. Yeah. You will allow drive my car when I'm down. You will let you thought. That's where I'm just saying. Like the baby will sleep in the basement, in my guess was? Yeah, no. Offense. But you could walk to work for Murray's house. That's true. But I don't understand. I mean like the When there's so many oppressive factors, if you think about, like, what an undocumented immigrant goes through in order to work and provide, you know, sustenance to their family. Yeah. I mean it must be so much worse where they're coming from. Yeah it has it has to be significantly worse than it is here and There. I we should just be looking at them and being like them, go get rid of them, get their fucking, maybe this is a good maybe. This is a. Whoa do maybe it's a woke ploy to support public transportation. That's what this is. Oh, and that's the thing. There aren't Uber's around. There are not buses and the closest grocery store is 25 miles away. Thank you. This is like a dangerous servitude. I mean, that's basically what it is. Write a bike if they could. I'm sure, but they can't you all. So, add Jesse's guest room. Just does. Technically did not have a door. Oh well, this okay, but I'm just saying to those listening all two of you. That I stayed in her guessing, there was no flying it. There is no door, there was no door. Okay, Jesse opens her house to you. All right, so that's my second story. What dairy industry, just a little alert. I'm still alert. All right. Last story is Florida, socks like that. That's how it was introduced AP psychology. Of course, I took, when I was in high school, I really enjoyed. It is now effectively banned in Florida, schools following the states. Don't say gay law. Not a humble brag. I really liked it. It was great apes. I called you that the entire course is banned. Well, okay, so here's what's happening. The College Board said that Florida's Department of Education rules restricting, the teaching of gender identity issues, effectively, banned, AP site, Because to be clear this is this is a statement from the College Board to be clear any AP Psychology. Course taught in Florida will violate either Florida law or college requirements. Therefore we advise Florida District's not to offer AP psych until they reverse their decision and allow parents and students to choose to take the full course they're not going to take Snippets out just so that Florida schools can offer it. What can the College Board? Be a little bit more feisty and fighting It sounds kind of fighting. I guess. That's a, that's a pretty good still like like there a little harsher. Can't they channel Matt during his asshole segment and really start yelling at people? They said, under the group's policy, their policy centered curriculum, does not qualify for AP designation. So they all. So, don't want to give out the credit to students if only taking portions of the course it is horrible. but, I mean April. Okay but I thought right they all have no I got like my school was like you could take AP economics, AP math or like AP science. It was like there's Jesse what Matt's trying to say is why do you need AP sickology? When there's AI? Jesus, that's exactly right. That's Here was another course that they oh Rhonda Santos. Yeah. Um, was angry with the College Board earlier this year because they have an EP African-Americans. Yeah, blah blah. So I stopped you kill me. Okay. How many people take AP psych? This is a seven. I don't want to talk about, my class was full and from what I hear people are, this is a big class. I mean, all right, whatever you're right here. Another reason why this guy is failing miserably is that he takes everything way too far away. It's he's too much of him. He's a big meatball fashion, these high schools on the opportunity to learn and entire school. And yeah of course. They do have a Jesus though. So maybe it's like a win. Three exhausting to see the week BTS, first female glass cliff in history. Wisconsin is finding every undocumented immigrant who ever set foot in a car and AP Psychology is not a Florida thing anymore. They can't learn it, tough. This one's easy for me. Oh, and it's just the one line. Her priority will be clearing out almost 55,000 staff. How many people? The first things she does is get a job. Take a cut at that job. Take an immediate pay cut. She is the least influence on the board before she got the job. And then she apologizes for the entire history of the company and follows that up by fire that was 25000 people. She wasn't the one who apologized for the history of the company. That was Jetstar CEO. Oh Cuts. All right you get a break the tide Jesse because I'm gonna go With this undocumented immigrant one, mostly. Because because I'm I am tired of this narrative. So, Matt Carvers kind of regularly this this bizarre anti-wolf push. Right now, how everything's racist now and supporting people of colors racist and meanwhile you know, America runs on the back of these people. I mean really, I mean, this is something we don't maybe it's just it is hard to tell the story like on a quick news story and maybe why most people don't care or don't understand. But this America wouldn't run with these people. So this is I find America runs on Dunkin. Yeah, well it does up here in New England but there you because I feel like we give glass Cliffs enough glass, Lewis enough airtime. She's doing that to say, she's gonna pick the wrong, I'll go back to your guest room. She's just privy to go back to the guest room. All right, that means wrong too. Winners, winners predictions. I have a prediction. I have lame everything this week. I'll go first. Winner of the week, maybe me because finally bored level cybersecurity disclosure. I've been, I don't know why I care about this and been Yelling about it forever, but the SEC listens to this show, obviously know this this is really easy. The winner of the week is Taylor, Swift's truck drivers. That's the winner of the week. There's an LA 100,000 dollar bonus from from T Swift. Nice nice. That's cool. I chose cyber Security Experts that are going to be snatched up for boards. Oh that's true. That's I like that. They want. I think they're probably celebrating the Damian angle but back the other side that prediction set out. I have a prediction, a quick prediction that is the co-founder of ocean sea, who sent a submersible to that Titanic, that promptly exploded because it was made out of popsicle sticks. And, you know, controllers, the co-founders suggested, they take a trip to Venus now. My prediction is the first trip to Venus fails. I mean, that is my prediction first 11, verse 11, maybe he'll go on that trip. And then the company will be no more. Yeah. Yeah, my guess is the first trip to Venus, makes it approximately seven feet off the tarmac before it explodes. Well, you have to go on that trip. Yeah. As a rule. Yeah, you know. But what's very odd about that plan trip to Venus, this is showing how, you know, genius this company really is it starts underwater, actually it goes first at submerges longer trip. I'll go second because, Jesse, you actually have a good prediction, a serious students once I'm gonna get. So I'm gonna give my stupid one next. My prediction is that has elevated cholesterol numbers and just declared pre-diabetic, right? He knows, he's eating 4,000 calories a day, including his favorite, McDonald's order, 20 nuggets a quarter pounder, large fries or not watched Oreo. Oreo McFlurry. I'm not done, Jesse, apple pie and maybe some side cheeseburgers for later. This is what sucks said. So my prediction is that he is pasty and thin Again by December and his wife Priscilla. Sells his fighting cage. It's in their backyard and donates the proceeds. The Chan Zuckerberg initiative that. There he goes. My prediction. Wow, that's that is an intricate. I do like Predator. Okay. Just your prediction, okay. The show in a good note by being smart. Is that Philip Janssen? Which is the former I guess, former BT groups. CEO only 505 is gonna be a boomerang CEO. And there it is. I like it. I think you got because you know what? They are gonna hate her. So much. He's only been there since 2019. So we'll see ya Boomerang back. Great predictions. She's gonna fire the entire staff. He's coming back. That's your Friday around. I am your analyst hole. Matt Scott, analytics.com, go there sign up while it's free.
