Transcript

Going. Whoo. Yeah. And woke you up. Hello. That's our intro, done live. All right, we really are live. Yeah, we're actually ESG face tattoo. It's a business pants Friday show here at June 16th Lane Studios. Whoo featuring. All your favorites are in the data Queen. Jesse the money was for BS man. Matt mascardi. And you. On today's. Week. But it's up to me. If I use it or not be something by her hair. You like add two inches to your height, duck fries. Those are so good. On today's weekly wrap up, ESG ratings will be a all be a b. One day, everything to be a b, so everything could be the same, maybe a double b. You're delivery driver is about to smell less gross, not beer. Beer is still gay and Comcast still sucks. All right, let's go right in it. Story of the week. Yeah. That is you. Yes, the European Union. Proposes to regulate ESG ratings. Oh, that's the problem. I don't think we would qualify as an ESG rating, not yet. Which means we remain unregulated there. Yeah. According to the European commissioner for financial services, we have no Clarity on how these ratings are reached. And there appears to be conflict of interest. I I don't believe the clarity part, but they're probably our conflict of interest. You know, my favorite part is the CEO of DWS which is Deutsche bank's Asset Management. What an asset management Army, Deutsche Bank, who was rated because of greenwashing, they had a whistleblower Desiree. Fixler blow the whistle on the fact that they were overstating, all of their sustainability. Whatever there are offices were raided, they're under ongoing investigation, the seat new CEO, the CEO is ousted. As a result, the new CEO was complaining about the lack of regulatory oversight and Clarity on ESG. There you go. Without ironing, didn't mention the fact that they are the reason why they're regulating it now is because of people like DWS Thank you regulate, everything I love regulations. Actually, do I do, I like seat belts. Now, I like airbags. I want the ability to get myself flung out of my car whenever I want. Matt's moving to New Hampshire and probably one of the strangest board Refreshments we've seen in quite a while. Biogen refreshes its board. The chair leaves Three directors, leave. Including Alex denner. Save that name for the next part of the story. The new director of a young woman named Susan, Langer. She's the only one who's been a point. Only new director have been appointed. They're funny thing about Susan Langer is that she is Alex denner's, girlfriend, and it was dinner. Himself, who nominated Susan Langer to the board at Biogen. and according to a Biogen, spokesperson, Langer, will bring a fresh perspective to the board. Yes. We just haven't seen anything like this. So, I had to, I had to add it. Incredibly fresh. There's no, we don't. Usually get this level of Gossip Girl in our story. So this is more gossip gossip, there's a 21 year spread between them Alex, denner Georgie and sorry. 32 just you said the youngest it's because she's dating him, she didn't get it on, like be having credentials. Okay, well, you might be right there, according to her biography. She does seem well qualified for the Biogen born and her dad is a famous figure in the field too. With probably age alone does not mean she's not calling. I don't know what to say here. Hold on, wait. So a bunch of people stepped down, but they only nominated one new person so far by a lot so far. It's an important. 3% of the influencer gone walked out the door. Yeah, that's the board sabermetrics. Headline for the story, 43% of the influence, just walked out the door baby and then the whole new board. What happens when we in our metrics when you add a new director, right? Like the max she's gonna have is like four or five percent. Maybe if she gets do we have a girlfriend Factor we had that variable girlfriend tag. We don't have a way of but I mean how would we be able to tag that Alex dinner? Who left the board? Now has more influence because his girlfriend's on? Yeah. Boomerang boyfriend. Rang. I don't know what's happening. Next is how he's gonna propose I give you. The week there was a strange random assortment of famous billionaires in the news. So I'm gonna, I got three of them and this is all just one. Call this one story that we're gonna call random billionaire news. I know, but we don't usually get this level around the building or stories, George Soros. Handing control of his Empire to his son. Alexander, who said Probably to tweak the right, he's more political than his dad. Fund two Vivic promises. He's gonna focus on such things as abortion rights and gender Equity. So that's a good. Oh no, he sounds cool, I like him already. Former Italian Prime Minister billionaire, media Mogul, former controlling shareholder of media set Silvio. Berlusconi, probably one of the scummiest people ever in our database has died. That's another billionaire story right at 806 died, and Grandpa Buffett. Still alive, puppet is a much nicer figure. I'll just Buffett doesn't have any of the Scandal that associated with dogs. Still alive. That's really about life expectancy. She's talking about how does Buffett and Murdock Outlets going to his fiery. Buffet is more staid. So maybe the state life style that's two years. I feel like the other ones are not, you know, eating his fresh. I mean Rupert, Murdoch's been getting, you know, like doses of young people's blood from there, that's right. And the other, the third billionaire in the news JPMorgan Chase said, is reached a settlement regarding victims of late, sexual, predator Jeffrey, Epstein prepared to pay 290 million dollars to resolve the lawsuit. Which, but billionaires involved there. I thought, Epstein know. Was he a billionaire? I thought he was a consuming. He was billionaire adjacent. Yeah, that's, you know, he was a I thought he was a wealthy Mogul. What do I know, Matt? Leave me alone. Yeah, we need a separate the head of our news Division. And finally the fourth story the week, a late edition, thanks to the great Matt mascardi, Walt Disney CFO Christine McCarthy. Who is been with Disney for two decades to stepping down. Oh, Uh, there's a couple of strange wrinkles of the story. First, there's the Wall Street Journal says, to her exit was abrupt, and it took some of her Associates by surprise, but then they're all Disney's also saying that she's taking a family medical leave, which I don't really understand if she's stepping down, but her husband who was not well entered into a health care facility at the beginning of the year but I don't understand which is it. She's stepping down or she's taking a family medicine, she stepping down because of the family health, that's what Disney is saying but I believe that's what Disney said internally and externally and I think the Wall Street Journal is making stuff up, he's making some stuff. Well, here's what the Wall Street Journal says that McCarthy has clashed with Disney CEO Bob, Iger over strategy, including the amount of money Disney spends on content and a recent restructuring that she felt did not go far enough now. Remember, Christine Percy was the woman who essentially got the credit for bringing Bob. Iger back to Disney. I'm gonna go with that, doesn't sound correct? And if the potential Heir Apparent a potential successor. Also floated but she is 67. I don't really know that she would have been the her husband entered into a medical facility. Like yeah, well I believe she's like I'm quit my job for now. This is important. The Wall Street Journal suggests that nothing has changed with her husband's health. So that's what Corporation is fighting amongst itself. Actually, it's a interesting point, I mean, they, they are competitors, right? Yeah, that does not sound credible to me. Okay. So those are the four stories of the week. Yeah. Wanna wrap it up. I want to recap who's doing something. Yeah, looks like we got, that's all you got you doing shit. They're always doing stuff. Biogen's, got girlfriend issues, billionaires are in the news dying and paying and, and Christine McCarthy steps down slash pushed out slash we don't. So yeah, I'll go first, I'll go, yes, are you to the Rescue? All right, just wants to beat me so that I use always doing something. I thought when you first said EU, I thought you were going to talk about the Google auntie. Yeah, Ari. This is our wheelhouse regulating ESG ratings is a big deal. I agree, but it's just a proposal know. Nothing's happened yet, okay, snap your fingers when you say that actually throughout the week, I've been paying way more attention to the Trump indictment this week. So what I am surprised about shocked about really piqued, my interest is to Biogen stuff. Okay all right yeah 5% of influence at the door. That's a headline that would be like whoa, I will say this to according to the reporting at NASDAQ it says the European Union is too regulate agencies to regulate yesterday, what year 2030. Okay? But still I mean for indictment was this is what you know that was that was Thursday last Thursday. Yeah, it ran through that. Um and disturbing anybody else. A vote. Just yeah, I'm gonna vote for classified information. In bathrooms Christine McCarthy Disney. I'm also thinking for Christine McCarthy, someone tell me why for Christine, Christine McCarthy, was the central agent in getting Bobcat ousted. And now, she's stepping down which, and I'm going to jump it as I've done my job. Well, I'm gonna jump all the way to my my winning of the week right now. He's oh, you're, you're revealing your winner of the week, my winner of the week is Ari. Oh, because we ran our first R&D version of board saber metrics using the full executive team. And that the whole sea Suite, that's like cfo's CEOs alongside boards, when we did it for Disney. In the first version, we ran Christine McCarthy was the second most influential person out of all Disney management. But why is that surprising is the CFO was known as being number two. There's usually paid a second. Most yo and the chair of the board and the head of this, who's the first who's the first? Well the first I think was, was it, when do we run it? We ran it. It was last month. The head of Bob egerton of the board, they're usually paid the second highest amount know but none of the other like Executives popped over, you know the chair of the board. She was the second most, a person of the company which means I don't get surprised. This is why it's interesting because we had in our data. Susan Arnold was more influential than Bob chapek when chabuk was ousted as yo if we ran it backwards using data at the time we would like Ugly found at Christine McCarthy was equally if not more influential than even Susan Arnold. She might have been the most influential person at Disney when they ousted when chafik was CEO which would? Yeah, I would bet that's true. This is Juicy. Which would suggest that her stepping down is like a massive power shift at Disney and the way they make decisions the way they do things that's like the were understating it because we're saying like oh the CEO is stepping down, they're going to find somebody. I still there whatever but the second most influential person at the largest content provider in the entire world just step down. That's that feels like yeah. I love a lot of things going on. Yeah, I mean whatever reason for stepping down I feel like that's that's the CFO role is a peculiar one too because they they appear to be interchangeable. In the sense that you could a good CFO could be in any industry. I suppose there there are very strange entity. And you don't always consider them to as part of CEO succession planning, as much as the CEOs or the CEOs of other, well, elements of the company. When did you think like, Some place, like Disney, the chief content, officer creative, or something, it would be like the most influential person like chapek was the CEO because he was the head of parks, which is a massive Revenue generator know. This is the purse. This is like the person with the who says, don't spend that money, who's the second and Angel? And I think her tenure has a lot to do with it too. Because she's been there through a lot of this nonsense. I actually have a prediction for the next CFO of Disney, but unlike Matt, I'm not gonna screw up the order of the show and reveal that. Now, I have a prediction, oh, that I think, Jess is gonna like, you know, I'm gonna forget that you have prediction until that. All right, so the story of the week, I'm a little disappointed. This story should be about ESG, rating, is because anything to plugs when they do it, bring it back in 2020. Okay? I just wanted to like, oh, somehow figure out how to plug us, but whatever the story of the week is that Christine McCarthy CFO Disney stepping down. That hand over time to the great re plug off. Baby shower, Queen. Embarrassingly which are Aries having an event this weekend to her own eyes. As she's like, you're embarrassing. I want to announce the audience that Arya is having an event this weekend that I personally was not invite. I am invited. just to use I like very much but if I didn't invite you I probably like you more through it. I would love to early. Or my mom would have cried. All right. Good least of the week. Yes, we're gonna start with New York City. They did that batteries. They said new minimum wage for food. Delivery workers started. 30 dollars an hour in New York. Well, starting July 12th, New York City's at face. Delivery workers must be paid at least well 18, we'll call 18 dollars. Yeah, 1796 not, including tips, that is not bad. That is up from 11 dollars an hour. So with tips, that's nice with tips. That could be a somewhere normal job. You could live in Staten Island, probably right? But before you had to live in further, I don't even know what's further in the water, Bayonne, New Jersey. There you go. So I think, I think this is good. You know, still workers. Is it argue? Is it like some sort of coincidence that 1796 was the year that John Adams, defeated Thomas Jefferson is, do you think that the mayor of New York is a Hamilton fan or something? That's what I'm wondering. 1796. There must be some. It must mean. Something doesn't mean something said? Yes, 96, we don't shoot random numbers like that. I really just wonder why they wouldn't give him before exercise. Yeah. Come on because they're sweaty jerks, they are sweaty jokes and give it to him. Number two, ups workers will get air conditioned trucks after years. Oh, they don't have air conditioning trucks. Are you don't know? I do know that I'm leading you on. Yeah. Anyway. For years of heat related Hospital. Unbelievable, even baking cookies on their favorite, favorite part of the headline. I'm thinking what about the cookies? Oh, no more cookies, to make their snacks. Oh good. So they're gonna get less obese at the same time. This is all good news. They just dieted. I like cookies. It's a Healthcare Plus anyway, I am wondering, I don't know. Do FedEx work. I only ever hear about UPS workers about better heat stuff are good. Extra drivers. Have I think they do because our Fishers are always very fit and handsome and they're like, they're like, they look cool when they come out sweaty. Wow, what about you? PS truck workers. I don't think that's part of their truck. They don't even have husbands or wives. They're lonely. They get like full, you know, the extra benefits. Federal benefits are let me ask you this. The both of these stories were there like, protracted negotiations? Was there a walk? Like, what led to this? How did they? Well you just get this. Yeah. Are you kidding? They've been fighting for this for years. So you Was there a threatened walkout or something? Like how did they can't get enough? Drivers. Okay. But nothing's been the headlines lately because Matt Kirkby from wrong, the UPS CEO founder is a bit of an a-hole, right? We reported on him many times. I believe that's true. I also, it wasn't ups that announced or maybe it was FedEx that people can like they had Hair restrictions and like you know tattoo restrictions and all that stuff they got Amazon. Yeah, that was a UPS I believe. It was UPS where they actually said like you couldn't have tattoos and you had to like, well they make the increase your body heat and at the time short hair for a reason, We, they actually shaved them when they come in. Just like the military, okay. And then number three youth environmentalists springing Montana Clarity to trial after 12. That's a good. He's not even close. This isn't even Anonymous, say anything else but I love this, tell us more. Tell us just for fun, I guess, but 16 gen Z years and their lawyers are bringing a case that's closely watched by law, nerds from around the world deals with the constitutional, right to a healthy livable climate as protected by state law in Montana. Did you decided this story from the NBC news.com? Did they say law nerds in the article? No, I said, okay, and by the way, are there. Lawyers are there lawyers also gen zers? Is it like 20 year old lawyer, legal scholar into lawn her? Correct? I like that. I like nerds but it's, you know, it's also watched by people like me. Yeah. In my Montana, there's already been a few rulings that say that the government has a duty to protect people from climate change. Yet the states Republican dominated. Legislature passed several measures recently to favor fossil fuel companies, even increasing the cost to challenge, oil gasoline, coal projects in court. Great timing. Didn't Montana change the way they do environmental reviews for projects. Yeah. Yeah, and they mandated that you are not allowed to consider climbing. Change in your environmental review, man. Can you cue the audience to do it? Can you cue the audience to cheer? You tell them to wake up and cheer. This is this might be the first time. I can remember Ari that all of your goodness stories of the week are good. I mean you you killed it, you killed it. Because I started yesterday, these stories, they're amazing. Shut up. Tell that one in the green to Stop. There's I I don't think we there's not a competition here for me. There's not for me. There's not just Jesse. I'm, it's unanimous. I'm with you. It was Montana. Not that I had a choice, but this could legitimately set an important president. Yeah. You're welcome to choose 1796 an hour. All right, that means it's my turn. By the way, I, according to Wikipedia, there was a treaty of New York in 1796 where it seems like the original inhabitants of New York that's when they seeded the property over to New York. So, that's when they ripped off the native people, 1796 is that right that year. That's seems very trolley to me, but okay. Oh man. Up with an asshole. And there are there was a fair amount to choose from this, bring us down, bring us down. Okay, let's get on Happy. Um, first up is anyone who is duped by the words, highly intelligent Logistics, platform optimized and artificial intelligence. All those people. Here's the headline not taper company. That raised nearly 500 million and cook a pie in transit is reportedly broke because it's about, pizza know. So let me put it through. What's this was the company was Zoom, Pizza, terrible name, horrible name, impossible to say this is a course or to spell. This is a quote from their co-founder. We have what we will call a cobot environment. So humans and robots working collaboratively, oh robots, do everything from dispensing sauce to spreading sauce, to place some pizzas in the oven. They use a quote, highly intelligent Logistics platform to quote optimize the number of pizzas we can sell. Why do we need people then the problems that they hope to address were quote? The this is a quote underserved Pizza Market. Where is that like a March? Where is there? Not enough people everywhere. We have, we have here. Like, it's everywhere in Norway. It was everywhere. And it looked nasty, but they had people wanted to address what they called food truck, deserts, because I'm a lurking low trucks. Quote, can't cook the food on the way and quote half to make a bet where to park Church go. Wait. Okay, this is and then they used quote, artificial intelligence quote, machine learning and to quote, preload inventory. into their their trucks because everyone orders pepperoni was way too fucking hard. Yeah, I mean I'm gonna say like thousand terabytes of computer you just need pepper, red, pepperoni, cheese peppers, and onions. So the brilliant Tech boys at Silicon Valley. The Stanford educated Tech Bros, they threw 500 million dollars just plan. Here's why they're the here, they're the host money valuation of this company at its height, 1.5 billion dollars, evaluation of this company SoftBank gave them most of the money at that valuation. All the money at that valuation we spent forty dollars and we used popsicle sticks to build board super metrics the greatest governance platform in the history of governance platforms and they got 500 million dollars to optimize people deserts or whatever. That is wait, Matt by the popsicle sticks or were you Post lick. Yeah, we like to call them pre-licensed well. Those are the new ones. The new ones. Those are the politically correct ones. Yeah, this is a good one. Matt. All right, I have even gotten to the next three. Come on, let's go. Number two. Fake Mexican. Beer is the new American here because it's not so Trends. Oh yeah. What's fake? I want to hear this. Here's the headline. America's new best-selling beer is also an lgbtq Champion. The new best-selling beer is Modelo, okay? Modelo is made by an American company. Not a Mexican company cost constellation. All right, cultural appropriation so Bud Light is to trans Molson is too feminist and Modello is now the anti-worker of choice. However, If we look at Modello, they hired an Executive, Vice President of diversity and inclusion in 2020, the same year, Chick-fil-A did wait? No. This is no, you're talking about consolation brands that and they distribute it and Mark it in the US. But do they also own what model? It's one of their beer. Okay, but in the US only the US market us, I don't know if they don't only in the US. Okay, that's one of their brands. So, and I know that This is a quote from constellation brand CEO, recognizing that change often happens where there's support at the executive level. Our CEO Bill Newlands has committed to participate in the CEO action for diversity and inclusion. The largest CEO driven business, commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion within the workplace. This is what we're doing. We moved from a totally terrarian company in a b inbev which is Belgian selling. The most American of beers Bud Light because they're too trans to a totalitarian company in Moulson who we replace because they did one adds several months ago that featured women as not to Constellation Brands who is the same as all the other companies. Can I I need to enter a wrinkle into this conversation and this is the strange thing about this beer is that technically Modello is owned by Anheuser-Busch inbev, which he decided Everywhere everywhere except the United States, the only Market where it is. Yes it is owned by constellation Brands. That's what makes this all the more confusing because Yeah, and this is the most fear is having a moment and Jesse, can you, please add this to your social media series? I know you don't? Yeah. Yeah. But I, I actually, I want to know what kind of cheap beer. I need to start buying. I know I'm confused. We need to find a board. Saber metric approved. Yeah. What about PBR of that? That's right, that's right order. What do we think? Are gender, gap is on that company and just I need you to add PBR to that. That's what I normally order but I that could be the least woke, I don't know. Yeah, that's great. Really. The whole thing is like we just need to just just say we hate gays and yes, we're gonna drink every beer and hate the gays or just say, stop drinking beer. Just don't. Don't switch a new beer, find a new one to boycott. It's getting absurd drink. Real beer, not light beer. That's essentially water. Go out. And drink a know, Jesse you're wrong that the real beer, the real beer, that you referred to as like micro Brews go. It's like 80% Alcohol. And it's crazy within like three seconds. I well that I need to get that, right? I think your option is stopped, drinking, beer, water, yours down, Damien. I have one beer a week, so it's fine. I just don't need to get a problem here. They actually launched and anti-woke beer. There's a company that launched a beer that was like we were American. Yeah. It was like 30 dollars to get a six pack was 30 dollars with the shipping. It was like 35 dollars a beer but according to our reporting that beer will get here a little bit colder, right? Because the air conditioned trucks and they put it in a pizza truck, that's cooking away which case it'll come really hot. Well, that pizza truck is out of business. Third up for asshole heard. Wow, have it both way, is him legislation. Here's the headline, North Carolina, passes, Republican bill, blocking ESG investment. That's the head, of course. But no, they didn't they didn't even, they didn't block ESG, they didn't ban ESG here, they do. Here's what it says in the actual bill, okay? They said fostering in investing in managing assets of the fund, pursuant to subsection a of the blah, blah blah blah, the state treasurer shall Only use pecuniary factors, right? Right. Unitary factors are material, financially, material factors and then they list a couple things and it says, environmental and social considerations are pecuniary factors. If they present economic risks or opportunities that an investment professional would treat his material know who added that a democratic added that. How did they get in there? The press releases they're putting out are basically we hate ESG North Carolina kills wokeness you know, shot against Black Rock. But the reality of the bill is if BlackRock says it's God, then they can use it. So they didn't ban anything because you imagine, they're just getting themselves a marketing headlines theater. You imagine they, just what do you say? It's not green. What is the opposite of that? But imagine the thought process that suggests, that suggests that environmental factors will not affect the bottom line. Of your company. I mean, imagine that thought process though doesn't make any sense which is why I mean at least they recognize that it doesn't. Oh yeah, exactly. Yeah, they recognize it, they read washed it. That's what they did. Their GoPro red washing things. That's scary. Oh, that'd be more of an existing of green soon. I'm gonna say Jesse that I think that this type of story soon my actually enter into the exhausting of the weekly close and finally the Taliban is alive in America, American television baby Southern Baptist moved to purge churches with female pastors, Fox News, has started running a series about how Muslim Americans and conservatives are fighting with schools over wokeness. So now, like the conservatives who literally wanted to put up walls and ban Muslims in this country and so much worse than that, much worse. Terrible. Terrible stuff. Now they're actually courting them to say that they're interesting. They're, they're more like us because they want to band wokeness in schools and this moved to Uganda. This is a great one. This is a good. The headline is a California taco restaurant hired, a priest to ask staff to confess to workplace sins, like arriving late. The best part of that article was ironic because I almost included it was that the person that revealed this the ex employee was like, it wasn't like a normal confession where I sat down and divulged my sins. They were asking they were like, pulling out confessions from them, he's like it was a little bit weird when they started like getting my confession from me. You need to confess about being late. Do you need to confess about the three extra pieces of lettuce. You I like HR. Oh you were on earth live. Remember the chocolate covered espresso beans that I got you a couple. He ate them while talking to me and I was a weird conversation. It's kind of rude of you Matt. Not to eat her gift though. Yeah she brought it all away from Oregon baby. You think? Do you think there's an opportunity for future president Vivek ramaswamy here that to require listening exchanges that if there's a female CEO like that we can ban female CEOs. Like you can't be listed if you have a because right, like the southern baptist, I think the gram of Swami who's company had a Dei policy that we found this morning. Yeah, I found in their first proxy statement where Vivek was listed as a founder and chair that they consider diverse. In fact, they consider diversity when finding new director nominees ahead of experience, more background and experience, and diversity came before experience. That does not sound like a excellent. So, I'm sure that was someone else's fault, but here your options for asshole. The idiot Venture capitalists duped by words, highly intelligent Logistics platform, fake Mexican beers. The new American Beer, have it both ways is on legislation and finally, the American Taliban really killed it. This week. This is insane honestly. Between the goodies and the asshole is, there was a lot to good. Okay, I'll go first. So nobody poses my brain. Yeah. I have to go Brands already. I can't. Yeah, that's so American Taliban is your choice. Yeah, I mean the only reason why the only reason why I'm not gonna select that one, is it? I don't feel like it's very Free floaty board. Same metrics see, but you did have that thing about a HR priest. I love the idea of an HR enough of those. I'm going with the whoever's, duped, by this high tech Pizza Company because that's just so obnoxious. That is such 500 million dollars is a amount of money that bothers me so much. And what are they just really? Are you kidding me? I really that person? Yeah, they were they were, they were pandering to the munchies. You should say you should have seen the video. It was impressive in its stupidity. Like they, they were very seriously like the CEO of co-founder who came from Tech was sitting in there saying like, you know, nobody is innovating in the space because they view Domino's as being the fastest and getting you, the freshest or whatever. But we've innovated and we've basically like, Improved on all of the areas of dominoes has. And I was like, really That's what? That's right, right. 100 million dollars to. I still wear that where is that area? Because all populated areas in the US, there's there are dominoes everywhere. So is this like on a stretch of highway in Montana like nine hours from everything? I did this in mayor View California or where there's no pizza where the where like right next to the Google campus. Right? Where there could not be any pizza. There's no there's like houses or 17 miles apart. Know, this is like a popular, so many millions of people, my vote just to make it fun. Although, I think I would have voted for this anywhere anyway because I just love the tie into board super metrics. Is this credible, the red washing Know that I'm gonna, I'm sliding that over to exhausting this but the incredible fight over beer and they'll and the lack of awareness and the lack of research as to who owns what what their what they're saying. Now, what their previous said, just all that. So I love. That is the greatest. So I gotta let Matt break the tie here for us. All right, I'm gonna group actually the beer, the red washing, grouping, and grouping. I and all a little bit together. Wait, like, not even what just happened? I don't you all of his stories behind all the best. I feel each other out, right? Because it's like basically you've got the anti-woke with the beer. You've got the Antioch. That's true. Anti-walk. And like the, you know, but that is your specialty coverage area, though it is. But that leaves me with, if I grouped them, I said they all cancel each other out. I'm going with Jesse and algebraic Winchester. So everybody's throwing me a bone here. David. Oh no, that's a good. I like that choice. I like that choice. Venture capitalists are fucking assholes. I'm seriously we build ourselves with zero, 100 million dollars, a platform that people can actually use that will like, you know, to be fair. We're also not knocking on VC doors. Yeah. I gotta call Massey Yoshi, son and tell him that I've got a highly optimized Logistics platform about, you know, human governance. And we use machine learning and artificial intelligence for underserved board. You know, metrics and sounds good to me. How about that? The whole company too is based on the premise of reselling, a common. Oh my God, there's like go from Zoom to z. U m e that's where I saw. What are we doing here? He could only think of Zoom. Do you remember that Microsoft failure? IPod failure. I was like good. Everything that starts Zu is just bound to fail. Don't exactly sucks not a failure. Come on. Yeah. But it's not Zoo. Good. Human. It's like our longest episode in six years. Come on. Sorry, I I got a really short week for me, tire me. I, I don't, I don't have too much this week, so my first story is already a win, already a win. Okay. Oligarchy complaining, Comcast complains to FCC that listing all of its monthly fees is too hard. This is a great one of my favorite stories of like seriously. This is a great headline, really? Comcast that's not. This is too hard. We actually don't know how we're duping you with taking your money. It's too hard to look into. We don't really want to do it. So can we not FCC? This is, yeah. This is not hyperbole from this headline too because they file, there's a actual filing that states that. Yeah. Listen to be like year in review, this has like you. Is that Comcast is always sucks. So they're just continuing their but we pray about it because they have such a large part of the market and our hands are tied. This is really good. Run by a dictator. I like this one. All right, so that's that don't really need to have much discourse about it though. Port saber metrics Wise. It's not Comcast. This is another, this is the, the Dual class dictator, who was born from the right. So that he could have Comcast. But the fact is, when we talk about meta Facebook, they say the company name and not just, when we talk about Comcast, we say, Comcast not Brian Roberts, it's one guy, one better job of that here. Can we actually can we we should talk about that and maybe the next generation of our platform we should start to put in parentheses like what who these companies really are. Right? Yeah. Rename. The companies that you're right them but you're absolutely right though. People are angry at this. Monolith Comcast. It is literally Brian Roberts. The son of the founder. Who has 15x voting shares to your point zero. Yeah, something like that. We need the EU to do something. Come over here. All right, next up a Michigan City. Just banned Pride Flags. Oh my, I mean, I'll be Detroit. This is, this is Not Just Happening Here. Like there are this after article alone listed 12. Other municipalities that I've done this, like really our ego is that fragile? Could we just let them fly their Flags? What is the issue here? Like ruin the rainbow for me. Just ruin it forever. So, apparently in this this it's called ham. Tramp city council. Okay, admission. There was a three-hour public debate but then the vote was unanimous to ban Pride Flags. Wait, what was unanimous? It was unanimous. Yeah, and excited, religious freedom wait. Oh, they have the freedom? I don't understand like what? If gay was my religion? It wasn't allowed in the public to be, they Struck it down in the public debate and it was not legitimate, you know what? There's not enough. Flag Banning in general we need to band more boxes, trying to ban all sorts of things, too. Some Starbucks stores have banned. Rainbow Flags. Haven't they that's it. That point is in contention, according to the corporate offices, that's absolutely not true. I think that some of the mortars have some of the Starbucks in conservative areas either or either are a holes or their friends. They're afraid. Yeah. Like, can you just just drive past the flag and be like, oh, that's annoying. But okay like what are We do be annoying. It's a rainbow, it's pretty. Yeah, we love drawing rainbows like in chalk on the ground. Those are cool. Like what? Every June, leave it alone, just leave it alone. It's really terrible. That's like socialist hippies. I'm glad there's only two, okay, but the two are gonna go hard and a Michigan City. Band Pride Flags I'm gonna go Comcast because I wasn't here yesterday and I feel left out Jesse. Yeah, where, where is the band? Just a municipal properties. Is that? Yeah. Oh, I guess Town Hall. Well, that I agree with. I mean, the gays are taking over Um, Damien do you have a vote here? Well, I don't want to make the vote pointless, so I'll let you go second. Well, you know what, I'm gonna make the vote pointless. So okay. Me too. I think it's, you know, I think it's unanimous, it's Comcast only because it's it's very bored saber metrics because I like the, the Brian Roberts sucks campaign. Know, it's more. Like I just I just I don't expect Hamtramck. Can't see that one fucking right? I mean, I my expectations were low to begin with there, so I guess I'm not that disappointed that they screwed. That I want to know his salary because, you know, they can maybe use 1% of this Robert dudes salary to try to figure out how to deal with this situation, the flag situation, I'll tell you the seller. If you look, if you just open up our platform, the salaries right there, and while you do that, I'm gonna play us into winners of the week. He's got winners this week. Yeah, usually have I usually contribute to win but I'm excited about my predictions. I do your winner first Oh, I have to go first on some category. Wow Beyonce first single-handedly impacting entire countries inflation. That actually that might be more I tell you more because of the influx. So she kicked off her concert her tour in Sweden and because of the influx of people staying in hotels, it impacted the inflation in Sweden. Well actually, is it that also a lot of people are flying to Sweden. Well I mean they could get tickets also probably this specifically noted like the hotels but yeah, I'm gonna guess. Yeah. Basically yeah, the economy, the economic cost of everything in the entire country cheaper to fly there and stay there in an already expensive country. Then, get tickets here. Yes, in the US are failure. Brian Roberts made 32 million dollars last year. Shockingly behind the total of his CFO. Michael Cavanaugh, who made 40 million dollars because of a 21 million dollar option award. Can I say, when I was looking up, the constellation Brands constellation Brands is run by the Sands Brothers. There's just two white guys who run, constant. They've been there forever. Know they're forever. They're, they're a long time owners of 50 or 10 years or they made 142 million and 97 million respectively realized hey, you know, drug dealers make Bank ever see Breaking Bad. I'm unbelievable. Right. Brian Roberts. You're like a pathetic you know. Oh, 30 millionaire compared to them. My winner is easy Boba. It's always Bob Oger. I mean, how is he not the winner? Although he did he is going to crew all the influence from something. Like how was he not the winner here? Once again like his his stature Empire. Just it's Champion. She got him back, his silence champion. But it's just a matte right though? If she had a second, most amount of influence, it's all going to go to Bob oh, come on probably. Well Ari, who's your winner? Well, like I said this week, I was really into following the Trump indictment, and all the ridiculous things that came from it like classified documents in the bathroom in ballrooms, you know, people were arrested trying to break into Mar-A-Lago. Little did they know that they could just get invited to a party and find classified stuff in the public place? Proper. Yeah, so my winner, which I was a little bit unsure about is Hillary Clinton because she winning, I feel like she must feel so Vindicated or extremely pissed and frustrated I'm not sure or just, yeah, but she has given a couple of interviews and she and she sounds like this is a Vindicated, there's nothing happened. Her stop. Yeah, there really is. Like screw you. People told you I already picked me. Pick the real winner and it's Ari and her, first version of sports zebra metrics. With all the executives, which means predictions. Do we have any predictions? Yeah, I'll go first to mine's long winded. Know, let's just go first cuz she never has a prediction. Oh, just wanted to end the show on hers but go ahead. I have one. My prediction is that Rhonda Santos announces musk as his VP because because of this headline, Rhonda Santa signed a bill that banned direct to Consumer Car Sales in Florida. But left an exception for Tesla. So there's there's a bromance going on. Okay. Can I see something interesting here? I want to, I want to, I want to join your conspiracy theory here because Elon Musk you have to or else. I'm gonna stop doing predictions. Hold on. And yes, I hate your husband's car, by the way, to stupid Tesla and he's an idiot. But listen. Elon Musk cannot run for president cannot run for president United States. He was not born in the US, right? But president, but I think you can be. I think. Yes, vice president, and I think if Elon Musk didn't shoot Ron, descendants, I think he can become elected president. No, I don't think so, he just can't be elected as president. This up, we'll have to listen serious to me. This is a great conspiracy theory. What's your prediction are very cool. Well, my prediction might be wishful thinking but I believe that Fox News will sue Tucker Carlson out of Twitter. They will they're all doing it. I never starting it. Yes the season. This letter but doesn't mean that he actually will stop appearing on Twitter. Can we, can we go back and applaud again? That because, you know, when we announced that I think the winner remember the winner when he left was the world for no Tucker. You know, here about asinine Tucker anymore. We don't hear any of his stupid theories anymore. It's just wonderful. Just I. Yeah, wait, I have well, you, you're gonna let me go to the boring one last five. That's okay. No, do the boring one, first my prediction, the new, I have a prediction for the new CFO at Disney. I looked at as many female cfo's is like, I could across the publicly traded corporate universe and I found one who will become the next CFO at Disney. Her name is Rachel, Glaser. She's only 60, she's the CFO at Etsy, which I know. Please is Jesse you love, and she's on the board. She's currently in our database on the board of the New York Times. A little nugget. I found after I selected her to be the successor is that she held a role a senior vice president operations, Finance at the Walt Disney Company for 20 years. I think he's coming back, that's my prediction, that's a good prediction. That's actually a legitimate prediction, my prediction is easier and stupider than all of that. And that is our platform will launch on. Yes day June 19. And you can find Rachel Glazier, to go to freefloat that LLC, click on a little bored, sabermetrics button in the top right corner, it will take you to the platform, you can sign up with your email address. You get access to the S&P 500 for free, every day to point about the S&P 500, all the things we talked about on the show you and including the next CFO at Disney Rachel Glaser, the only thing that matters that is Damon Raleigh. And just full of BS. We are free float. We'll see you next week. Next week is our last week on the air. For a good little bit because we're all going to conferences vacations and it'll be away for a while. So, enjoy it next week before we're gone until then, Goodbye.
