Live from under this crawl space under Ari's lower basement. It's a basically fancy expert business pants. Friday joined as always. By the lurker the madman and the data Queen. When did we switch entirely to having some sort of weird, radio names when did that? I'm, I'm plant-based rust. You know, they're making plant-based rust now. I wasn't even mean that was worried. It's, it's Russ rust. You know, it's that horrible rust like that forms on my Subaru made out of planes. For what purpose to break stuff down. I'm a terrible. Oh my god. Oh, let's just welcome our guests. Who wants to? Are you want you? What, you welcome. Our guests are. We have a fancy this week? Come on. The winner of 2020. One two, March Madness Tournament. The music. Oh yeah. Matt McCarty. Can we beat everybody but we should that's right. We should be clear here. He didn't really win, but good for you. Good for you. Oh shit. I don't know. Did you hear any of the podcast that we referenced the your you? We talked about you a lot actually. Did you hear any of that? Of course. Yes, just not all that again, sir. I mean, luckily, there's only like four podcasts cast out. So, I mean, we're one of four people listen to. Oh, anyway. Oh, shade. Did win the entire march on his turn? I don't know what Matt keeps lying that, he won, but clearly, O'Shea know something, because he picked three out of the four or five in the final four. So he's clearly the smartest that all of us, that's What? No one tells him. All right. Yeah. No Shay. What you are like a stock market. What? Fanatic, what? What is your thing? What's your deal? I'm more like a guru had said, So, who do you want to replace in the show? You want to replace Matt or Emma? What makes I'm ready? Those are the two. Oh he says hi to me. Whoever makes the most money is he said he wants to replace. Okay, well that would be Emma. It was fun while it lasted guys. Yeah. Do you want to say anything about yourself or say, you don't have to? I know that you're in our lovely region of the country New England. That's all I know about you and and maybe you're smart because you you you you heal people. I like that's maybe. I don't know, I don't know this character. All I know is he played our game and he won, that's all I really know. Yeah our texted me a couple minutes before the deadline and I decided to get it, get a little March Madness bracket in took me a few minutes but you know, Your your probably shouldn't have mentioned, I probably shouldn't have asked because I think, oh, she just revealed that. He's not a realistic know. I do listen. Oh yeah. Which, you know, I haven't heard in about six years. Well, seasoned ones done Season 2 Season 2. I like when you run out of ideas, he call it a season and you just run out of ideas. First of all we just ran out of steam. He all right. So we're not going to do our traditional Friday show. We're gonna play the good game with our expert. Oh Shay. Hey, thank you. Yeah. Here's how the good game works. This is a game that was basically demanded by my dear mother who was sick and tired of all our negative nonsense. All of our moaning. In fact, she told me last week and in our walk, maybe one time we'll have a walk in and we'll talk about cheery things. Nice. Well, if yes, she wasn't such a hate factorie, then we'd have that going to happen. So here's who I put a game together for her, which is that I pick out headlines that sound, it's just seemed good. They make, they make me happy, they sound like, it's good news, the world's getting better and then I asked our steamed expert slash pundits to weigh in and a score from one to tell me with her actually. Good ten being good. 0, being not good. I'm gonna usually gives everything is 0. So this is how the game works, okay? Crucial component of this game. Yes. And your description. You're missing the part where you are actually secretly playing the game because Matt Ari and I are always critiquing your curation. Yeah, that's because that's because you guys are over analytical annoying. Twits. I don't know. That's your problem. That's not my problem. But that's a crucial part of the game. So John, if you have issues with Damian's creation, you should feel free to just Yeah, I don't I don't know this John character. Sorry apologies OSHA I wonder when I became Damien again because for in school, I was always. And then I became Damien again, New England thing you get called by your last name. It's a white dude. Yeah, I'm that and I'm in New England guy. All right, let's do this. Yeah, music Emma. We can. Yeah do it. Come on. Oh you do that for everything really buttons here. The fourth wall just keeps coming down. We got 40 buttons here. All right, let's do this. All right, that's the Bell. I have a couple in here that I put just a pen or to our guests, OSHA the winner of the way for winning March, then beating you Matt. What is he win? Exactly. Oh, she wins. A piece of free flow, merchandise of his choosing and or creation, we can make you sweatpants that say, business pants down the side, we can make you hats, we can make you t-shirts, we can make it say business pants. We can make it, say, winner of March sadness, we can make it, say whatever you want. So after the show we're gonna we can get a breakdown unless you want to pick something on the spot. We can get a breakdown from you. At any point, we will make it, we will put it on our Etsy store, make it available, but we'll send you some free swag. They you can wear proudly to tell people that you won March sadness, even though you didn't Oh, you did. And, and the only caveat to that, is that everything is an extra extra small. Caveat to that. Is that everything Matt said was a lot, you have to get a crop top. Okay. I don't know if I like that idea. All right, let's do this for the good game. I threw in a couple here for Roche. I'm pandering. No shade a little bit. I already. Oh, So I threw in a couple. Yeah. Herbert's, yes, got it. So, here we go. In fact, this first one in our drugs categories, really? I really wanted to hear an expert here about this waiting on this. Here's the, here's the headline. the house the US House Representatives passes, a bill To limit the cost of insulin. To 35 dollars per month. Oh, and God, and I, I included this for a few reasons. One, I know that O'Shea is a medical professional and, and two. I know he's a stock market Guru, so I'm wondering like, is he gonna be out on insurance companies in on drugs, like what is it? How does his mad stock market? Grew brain spin. It looks like he was taking notes. Yeah, yes, he wants to jump in, on this, he's Matt, you love insulin. I do love myself a good insulin cost limit, but here's a different statistics that I found. 70% of Americans, eat fast food at least three times per week and spend an average of 7% 7% 7-0 70, and spent an average of 1200 dollars per year. On fast food, or if you're not good at math, that's 100 dollars a month. So, right now, they're paying the cost of insulin because the diabetes, they're getting largely from fast food on the low end, like 300 bucks a month, And 100 bucks on the thing that's giving them the diabetes, my suggestion for the house would be in stead of capping the cost of insulin at 35 dollars a month, you should floor the cost of fast food at 300 dollars a month and then, you wouldn't have an interesting problem. Wait, raise the cost of fast food, Damien. That's what I'm very, oh, for the consumer, everyone. Yeah, I think the minimum cost even Popeyes, I like Popeye the minimum fast food should not be for a family of four 12 dollars a meal, It. And I know you're saying deserts and Emma's shaking her head like this food. I know why? Yeah, a country rap Supreme at Taco Bell. I mean, we need 40 dollars. Taco Bell. Why does everyone talk about first? Like that's something that's like a reasonable anyway. So she introduced me to the four by four Wendy's. Oh, yeah. Well, that's good. All right. Which I four by four times too. When you're really Okay. Clearly these two like to get high together and go through but but what is a 4 by 4 I'm just I'm actually curious. What is that? All right, not it's for many items of Wendy's 44 dollars, so you can get it. You can sandwich a frosty, a fry and nugget, a four and I know four means guys, I know. Listen under Matt's new system that would cost 1200 dollars. I just did that math in my head, which I think it's correct. So what Matt's trying to say is if we can regulate the cost of drugs, why can't we regulate the fast food industry? I was gonna say why can't we regulate the amount of franchise, but why can't? We raise the cost of all drugs? Fast food is effectively a drug if we're drug Netflix. Fast food coffee regulatory lower. Yeah, I want my coffee lower. I want my 4 by 4 higher. Okay. I'm still gonna give this an eight because it's not anybody, it's not it's not really a user user's fault. I'm gonna put this in a little bit of context for you that the current range of prices is 334 to a 1000 dollars. Yeah. This is insane. This is 10. Thank you ours. This is why Ari's on the show? Come everyone can get behind this. Emma you know not the Republicans Even the basket. If 12, I think 12 barking up the wrong goddamn tree. It's a 10. Okay. But who we really want to hear from is O'Shea. What what's, what's who's right? What do you think? What's going on here? So I really I did agree with Matt that we need to fix the causes of these problems not fixed the problems after the already correct. Yes I don't know fast food is the way to attack it but definitely you love it. Advising healthy foods rather than not healthy foods would be the way to do it. Food stamps for Vegetables rather than food stamps for Doritos. and, I just don't know where the funding is coming from. Are we paying these drunk companies out of our taxes? Still at 1200 dollar rate? For the insulin, wow. Or are we actually decreasing the basically profits of the drug companies which is what should happen because they all don't want to pay? Out of my pocket, someone else's poor mistakes, which is a problem. And yeah that's a good question. Consider. And do you know oh she at the top of your head or anyone to have, we limited the costs of other drugs in this manner? Is this a yes Epi penis phenomenon? I don't think that only epipens and Insulin. Only did we like was it a legislative thing that capped the cost of EpiPen, or was it just the person being bullied? The one, the hiked up the price? I think it was the latter, not the former Yeah. Okay. So I mean we can bully people into doing it but you know, they're not gonna listen. Yeah, no problem in the US and you can go over to the Border, I think the Canada and get insulin for half the cost. not that someone in Vermont would know that anything about All right, Mr. Mr. Cigarette smoker. I'm talking to you, Matt, let's move on. This is for was move on. Toby, this is one, I always put in. I put in any robot dog story. Just for Matt, here we go. Although, I think you might like this one. Robot dog issues, covid-19 instructions in, lockdown, Shanghai China. So I guess there are, I think this is happening Singapore too, but basically there were robot dogs. Wandering around helping people with their company. He's a 100 use of a robot I've ever heard of. Where are you? Always are already sad about this. Yes, I love you don't like this 10. Know why are this? Is a two why? I gotta know why. Why? Because yeah, people are gonna be mean to Get punted day. Oh, that I can tell you. Interesting, for a fact, Ari is not wrong. When they introduced a robot at a tech show. I think there's like three or four years ago, it was sexually molested because it was a female robot. I, it was immediately assaulted and if it was like a real human and a tech show at a tech show, and it was like the demo robot and they allowed you to interact with it. Like the first thing people did was like grop it and assaulted it. It's a very first instinct. So yes, don't sound so excited about every dog. What do you think did? I mean everyone has cell phones you can push notifications for whatever it is. They need like I don't understand. How there's Robo beastiality on tablet. I don't know if I don't know if I appreciate that, I'm sorry. What did I just hear from that? It's just saying don't listen to Matt O'Shea who's really right here. We have a range of course here at 10 a 0 and a two, I like this. What do you think? Was she thinking an eight? Robot dog? Yeah. Because it's one more break that O'Shea can take at work if a robot is disseminating medical information. That's what I'm hearing. All right. So that means that nobody's right? That's that's another. Another thing that actually really kind of secretly said, moving on, let's go. Okay, billionaire. Again, I kind of put this in for O'Shea because he's our stock market Guru, but I want to hear what the what everyone thinks about and we talked about it all week, but let's talk about it, put a number on it, Twitter names musk to the board. Saying he's exactly what we need and oh and at the same time Twitter confirms it is working on an edit button. Let's talk all things Twitter. Come on, zero to 10. Come on, who are already excited. Who wants to talk about and this is great. I can't. I don't know. Want to talk to Twitter the big week. To put a zero to ten on on musk's Twitter week. This is what I mean about Damien's curation. Here, I want. Officially going on record. What do you think? Especially I want to hear O'Shea because he probably invests in this and I want. What is he thinking? Well how were his wheels turning knowing that muscles during the Burr board? You hit. Come on let's go. Look this is I think what just happened is it's a 3 billion dollar edit button. I mean musk spends 3 billion dollars buying a 9.1% stake in the company. He's not an activist for two days and then he's an activist like two days later. They did the filings and they changed the filings. So now he's a 13 D. Instead of a 13f or whatever. Really? Yeah, or 13 G? Yeah. He's had to swap. So what is that actually mean? And he's a legal distinction. 13 g means you've acquired a passive stake in the company. You have no expectation. You're not going to do anything, you're not in communication with them. You just own a bunch of it. And the 13d means you actually are looking for something. You're gonna join the board, you're taking an activist stake and because he immediately joined the board. He basically had to amend his 13 G to be a 13. He was lying. He was lying the whole time and fooling with the yes, SEC and I love when anybody does that, because that's just for comedy sake and sort of all he does. He filed his late musk has no respect for that SEC, but know what he did is he is basically investing which can Give returns and also give him free marketing. Yes. Invested in his marketing arm, which is his himself, which is Twitter. Yeah, in itself is marketing, which he can Market anything. He wants on Twitter now and have less repercussions. And only cost I didn't actually I didn't think about it that way. Yeah, yes. 50% of world hunger is all it cost him because he basically spent three billion dollars to get himself. An edit button on Twitter, or he could have spent the six billion dollars that the UN was talking to him, about spending to solve world hunger for one year and he said, well prove it to me and then the UN proved it to him and so I like that. The Simplicity of actually, all I want is an edit button. I like that it's ridiculous. No, I don't like it. All right edit button like why technicality? Right the first time if you edit, but then you can't see what it said before. I don't want that, I want the whole is not what it's gonna be though, isn't that what's gonna be like? We don't know every time I type, I hate Ari and slack. I edit it. And I like, Ari, but you don't know that. I said, I don't think that's right. I don't think that's right. The Facebook. You can see the edit history. Yeah. Well, I like Instagram problem is not that the only reason there's an edit button is because the billionaire bought the like 9% of the company that wanted an edit button and that's just cited to make one. It's a problem. Is I just want to make sure the functionality is great. Like I want to see our give me a score. Come on um six, Emma. Utility wise. Yes, I do. Want an edit button because on my most successful free float tweet ever. I spelled quite quiet wrong. So that you never get over that one are, you know, only you carry wise, I am going towards. A Elon wants an edit button so that he can post stuff to Twitter. And then when the SEC is like, you can't tweet that he'll just go, I'll edit it, but then people will have taken screenshots of it and it will like exist and it will have already done what he wanted it to do. He's trolling, he appears Yeah. Yeah, he's trolling. He's trolling the world the entire. Yeah. What's your number Emma? I'm going for a three. Five six. So Shea Actually you can give it a 10. I know you want to. You think it's brilliant. Don't get my limo really brilliant. I think it's a 10. Wow. They did. They did. I mean, I think I think O'Shea Is Right? I mean, I think for, for because he's really, he's speaking for business pants, I think it's like there's there's so much fodder here as much as I hate the man, and I'm not you, oh, Shay, I'm sorry. But I just think it's like an unending supply of comedy and drama for us. There's enough, you really have to say more. Yeah, there's the question, the open-ended question is, will must be considered in independent director. That's what I want to know later. Like, I want to know. Well, he Well, know, by by the stand that by SEC. Standards by the, by the listing standard exchange standards even Buy corporate governance standards. I think he is. Technically he is even though he's connected to at least two of the members on the board and he has a 9% stake in the company. He's still considered independent. All right. Welcome to moving on. Next headline. This crypto CEO someone's really for you. Are this crypto. CEO says, he made 20 billion dollars just to give it away. His name is Sam freed free and he says he's going to give away everything and live up 100,000 dollars a year. And I want to tell you something, there's a Twist, in this case I think, which proves our point about everything Matt. Is that this guy was born in Stanford, right? Stanford, California. But ended up going to MIT graduating. Yeah, he really is the anti teal anti Zuck. So I think he Prove something of our weird theories. Somehow I don't think he does. I do think it's finally a good use for Bitcoin. I think we can agree with you coin, isn't it? Yeah, yeah, I I love that. I love it because he's trolling. Effectively everyone. He just simultaneously trolled billionaires, Bitcoin buyers and users and like zealots and because he became a billionaire on it in the first place. And he sort of is, is trolling himself. Like he gave himself 100,000 dollars a year, like he's giving it all away, but not all of it away, he's giving us up 100 That's a reasonable cap on a annual salary. I think that's fine. I love it. I'm giving it a 10. I think it's great. I will see this Emma. If this makes you feel any better, he's a vegan. But more importantly, more importantly, he doesn't eat Taco Bell. And this is how. This is our idiotic? I am, he has a bean bag, like in every room and like, in his office and I was like, looking to find the name, the brand of the bean bags. I want to be. I see, oh, she's laughing at me. I don't know why but I really I was doing that this morning and I couldn't find this stupid brand name. Anyway, Emma, does that make it better? Emma, come on. A grown man is obsessed with bean bag. Chairs That's knocking off points from my score. I was gonna. Yeah, that negatively impacted my vision of this man. So I'm so sorry. Yeah, I don't like hearing about crypto. I don't think I like crypto in general but I do like That he's sort of flipping the bird to The Establishment to the Peter teal types. I'm not mad about that either. So in addition to the bean bag element of it, I think I'm gonna give it a five. What's, wow, how did you get down to a five? The bean bags. He's reportedly giving it all the way and saving only 100,000 a year. The word Krypto was involved. I can't listen for about look, I want to say this. Yeah, he started a company called FTX which is a Bitcoin like a cryptocurrency exchange and Trading Company. He made 20 billion dollars on it. The company is headquartered in the Bahamas so he doesn't have to pay taxes so he's not he lives there because he doesn't want to pay taxes in the US. You guys kissed Mackenzie Scott's butt like Every chance you can get and her wealth keeps growing as she's giving away. There are articles that her wealth is getting bigger it's okay. I don't know if this company is going to show up on major league baseball uniforms this year. That's that's all right. Does anyone how was that? You are slamming basically. At 10 and you're all so crap. I love you everything. Okay, who's right here? Come on, help us out. I'd like to see results so give it a five until I see results. Oh wow. I'm now I am I I did look for that too. I haven't exactly found evidence of this. So let's hope there's, you know, actually happens. Let's move on to stakeholders. Rule. Come on. Let's let's at least put a number on the Amazon unionization in Staten Island. Here's the head Amazon labor organizer, organizer popped champagne. Thank Bezos. I mostly just included because I love that headline. He said this, he said, when this is Chris Smalls, he said when he was up there, we was signing people up. So he's thanking Bezos directly for escaping the Earth's atmosphere. That's the number on it. I just think this guy Smalls is like, He's, you know, he's a pseudo genius. He's a genius. Come on. Yeah, I give this a 10. Are you kidding? There's awesome. I would, I'm gonna give it seven only because I want to know if If the champagne that he popped was grown by one of the members of the champagne Growers Union in France, that's the important part. Well, really from Champaign. What do you mean though? Like you, you're trying to get a joke. I'm just saying, like, they just unionized, are they supporting unions by buying champagne that came from well? But if it actually, is champagne is coming from France, we know this, right? And, and they friendly is champagne, Growers Union. Yeah. Okay. Stop trolling Chris Smalls. How do we have? It's probably 10. Okay. O'Shea, are you gonna are you gonna piss on the union or she? You know, he's thinking about it. We'll give it a 10. Yeah, we just peer pressured him into a tent. Good job, guys. I don't not. You you gave it a seven. Well, I don't know. What cares? What I think. Let's let's be real. The next one is for O'Shea. Again, another one pandering Roche. Here's the headline. Doctors are unionizing and walking out for better patient conditions. I've never, I've never heard of this kind of thing. Anyone went away on this. Doctors trick, traditionally good at hospitals are independent contractors. They tend to actually have like a separate organization and they have rights at hospitals and they are considered independent contractors. I think, actually, I know that. What's fascinating about it is that they're not unionizing and walking out for themselves because their pay is not a problem, like they're rights and pay is not a problem. There are actually walking out because of patients and my guess is, they're walking out of patience and this is what I am interested in hearing. Oh she talked about is the patients have turned into like evil pains in the asses like they evil, the Instagram. Like social media is Asian of information like all I know is like every patient that walks in to my to see my wife, like half of them have like their own medical diagnosis that they just Want confirm from Google before from Google and Wikipedia, and whatever. Before they even talk to a doctor, when the doctor says like no, that's not really what it is. They're like, fuck you doctor and your whole office and how dare you make me? Wait outside, and I hate everything about this and this is inconvenient time for me to begin with. It becomes a gold thing. So I'm gonna give this, yeah, eight. What's wrong with me? Why am I always so polite when I go to doctors offices, like I gotta I want to get more ranty and angry and yelling at work on that. Know, maybe you don't know. I feel like actually frustrated, you know, the cost and yeah, the weight. Like I think the whole medical field this frustrated in general people that are coming to see medical professionals and medical professionals themselves that are really have this huge weight of, of insurance companies and documentation over our heads. But in regards to patient safety, I haven't seen any problems with patient. Safety besides having lack of providers and nurses to take care of patients because of the weight that is put on the shoulders of providers. So I think that the whole medical field does have problem. That's sense. I think that overhead costs are increasing because patients want better. facilities while they're inpatient, which raises costs and having their own private rooms and you know, nice plasma screen TVs and good food and everything else so they're not bored. Yeah. But you know, I can go on a rant about this for a while. Yeah, it's I think your iPad in the hospital. It's not a hotel. We really need to take care of patients and get them back out their homes and you're not a guest here. Yeah, you know, having good patience, making sure they're getting the right medications. The right dosage, everything like that is appropriate. Other than that. There's a lot of a lot of patient hate going on coming out of Matt and the whole private room thing. Sorry, and sorry. No, I totally see that when I lived in Germany, like that is unheard of. Yes, no. Yes, except for here. Yeah. And then here it's like, you know, my great aunt's daughter was fighting to get her private room. I'm like and then we wonder why closer so high for medical care. I'm completely lost on this doctor. I'm going to reread the headline, doctors are unionizing and walking out for better patient conditions. Emma, what do you think? thank you for bringing me back to the original headline because honestly my head was going on So based on, The words and the headline alone. I'm gonna agree with Matt's 8, Yeah, to me, this is like the Business Roundtable, like like I feel like if the Business Roundtable actually cared they could actually change things. I feel the same way about doctors and I know they do care, but I think they actually, this is a group that could affect change. I know. Shade like to your point, like if there are concerns like you're addressing they could use collectivization as a way. I would think that they could get a lot. They have a lot of bargaining power. So anyway, are you want to put a number on that? And give this a nine. So we have eight, eight, nine. Oh, share they close. If for the headline nine I'm not sure anything about the story underneath that but I give the headline that's the show, that's all. We need it. Our own story, we're like programs Hospital. Let's let's move on because we're out now in our third hour, the big we've had a big gig in a while and yes I picked his headline just because I wanted to say one word here we go. Uber looks to create travel super app by adding Planes Trains and rental cars. Oh, it sounds like That's Delilah but they got planes and trains and cars. I walked to you, I want Ari to sing the rest of the song and I'm gonna give Ari's. I'm gonna give Ari singing a six. I wish there's a meter. I wish we could see O'Shea's. Like friend meter to see like every time are you like sings? Like if it's going up or down, that's why I don't know. You guys found facts that Delilah from the song worked at Whitney the I don't have to sing the red. Anytime you speak with doing a singing voice for the rest of the? Yeah, officially a producer of the show, right? I want to give it a Score first. What do you have a? Super first of all the super app okay? Does this mean that will our pilots and trained Engineers? Will they be like out of work? Like dudes? Like will was that what it means? Like, like a guy named Dave will come. He's gonna fly the plane. All right, do you want me to go? I'm ready, please. Yeah. Okay. This is a zero. Yeah, it really is trying to just privatize transportation to the ends of the Earth and I'm not having it. I hate it. It's a zero know unfortunately Emma's. Right. I just wanted to put it in here for the joke. I knew it was gonna kill my story, but one of the transportation things are working on is electric helicopters. Which sounds really interesting to me. What? Tell me why? Because it's electric where we going in that helicopter around La, because you don't sit in traffic Damien, just Before it doesn't mean, it wouldn't be nice to have. I don't talk about you. Want electric helicopters? Are concerned about wealthy people. Yeah, yeah, wow, this is crazy. Have they even made any money? I'm gonna give this a too, oh, That's that's good. You guys have lost the forest for the trees that keyword is Damien emphasized. It it is super AB because what you should be focused on is if we are now developing a world of super apps, what comes after super app? Is it Mega app? Mega app? Is it is and then meta app met. Oh my meta apps, Grand apps. And you only see it based on your humongo apps. And this a lot, this is depressed. This is an Endless Marketing Sherrod, which I never want to end. I'm gonna give it a second. I want to, I want Mega's, I want the stock market Guru. Oh, shit. Away on this. What do you think about this for Uber? I think we're heading towards teleportation. I'm gonna give it a nine. Yeah. That means that you're all wrong. Or it means that he just added up all the scores. All right, let's go. Let's move over to woke data. This is our last category. We have about six more headlines here. So feel free to stop telling me your life story. Let's start with this one. Paul McCartney's letter to Starbucks. I like this one because we have a billionaire writing a letter to a drug dealer asking for things. We're here's what he says, stop charging for plant-based milk. Oh, Yeah, you like this? What? Monari tell me, what do you think? Great. Great. There's I think. Oh also if you're going to Starbucks you can afford to pay more. We just brain. It's going this way. And then actually this is how I think about it, too are? Yeah. Yeah. But I think what caused you just even out and whatever? No, don't pay extra for that, screw that. Yeah, what kind of a world is this where cows milk is free and everything else is a free. What kind of a world is this because of dairy subsidies? I mean, really, what kind of? But we're going to our drug dealer, I mean, it's not like these are, you know, There's we consume Americans, consume the highest amount of dairy, I believe in the world, except next, to France. Yes, that's gonna say, France, has a pretty good. We have, I know that I talked about the underground stored American cheeses, but we have so much cheese. There's so much cheese. I don't have friends, we don't have, we don't have a lot of cheese, believe me. Okay, yes, we do here numbers, Aria. I'm gonna give this an eight because I like the content of the letter but I didn't even know. Oh, do you even know? Do you have you heard the Beatles? I can name. What's your number? My number is also an eight, because I think I like it and it's kind of campy. Look Paul McCartney, did this wrong it and a 9% stake in Starbucks would have cost him about seven and a half billion dollars and then he could have just made whatever he wanted. He could have made the cost that much. Do an edit button whatever he wants all. So sub-question, does this make plant-based milk? The Yoko Ono of milk? Like, is that that was just happened. It broke up. Wait, breaking up the milk? I will not stand for Yoko. Slander, absolutely not. I think it's, I think I what I like about it is, it's a great idea to flip the cost of these things on their heads. So I'm gonna give it an eight Oh, why was a letter not a song? Oh my God, a great point. It's a seven Damien. Yeah. Oh, she helped us out here. Oh, you give it an eight. Do you like the delicious drug that is coffee? Are you a? Are you a drug user coffee? I got some Starbucks Coffee sitting on my coming right now. Okay, there we go. He's gonna give it an eight, which is Emma, you're wrong. That's, that's the cost of regular milk and decrease. The cost of not milk. See Simple Solution, fake. All right. Moving on. Next door, CEO says gen Z does not want to work for companies that are silent on politics. Yep. Yeah that's really in your world. Are you more of a Disney employer or you? More of a Kroger employee? Where are you here? Well, those are my options, that's it. That's it. Well, because according to the, according to us, Kroger is nothing and according to the right wing, Disney's woke. So there you go. Yeah, good to know that. Yeah. That's confused. Faces, the best part of this. Okay, well, yes, the next receiver CEO is correct. I'm interested to see. Is the next receipt you just saying that? Or are they doing something about that? It just feels like an offhand statement. I'm not exactly sure what they're doing there, but it's generally, I think correct. So I'm going to go for a six. What kind of hard? It's a social network of yeah people and neighborhoods. Yep, it's like Suburban parents who want to like make sure that they're back up. I don't not parents. Usually octogenarians. Who want to complain about the kids in their name? A lot of complaining? Yeah, there's a lot of complaints. Yeah, that makes sense to me. Matt, like it's, I can't give credit to the next door, CEO. For reading a Pew, research. Poll from 2007, it's a five who cares? Okay. Yeah, I'm not saying is that he doesn't like female CEOs. Yeah, all right. Go ahead. Everybody knows that. I like I just don't think that everyone knows that actually. I think we're gonna fight. Yeah. I kind of don't think I come on. Give me a score here to six. It's like they agree on the exact same score. Yeah. Together again. Sorry, I give it a six. All right, speaking of what company is the next headline is Oreo. Who knew Oreo continues its lgbtq plus allyship, despite the culture war against woke companies. Here's what it's doing. It says, the Beloved sandwich. Cookie has debuted a new short film directed. By Alice Wu to tell a sweet touching story about the family journey of a young LBT Plus Men. What Oreo? I mean is it very I don't understand? Yeah, movies, I don't even know what's going on here. There's a lot of questions I have. Yeah, anyone There are this is I think a trend I really wish I could remember which other company. I'm thinking of but like brands are starting to make movies like brands that have nothing to do with filmmaking or starting to make movies. I have a problem with everyone just jumping on the Outback train where Outbacks like, we're marketing to lesbians for 20 years and now everybody. Yeah. Like, I, but I, I can't ignore the irony of a company that makes black and white cookies being inclusive, like they literally, well, if you if you open up the article, you'll see they're making a rainbow colored cooker. Well, congrats to them, I literally could care less about this five is gay. It is gay Washington. Are you don't like this? If you will for marketing purposes. So you don't like this or is that? I'm just gonna be beautiful movie, though, who knows? Yeah, I'm all about the content people in carry all the content specially. Now, when you like, maybe they will be the ones that take Disney. Like make a Disney movie without it being Disney with. You know, gay people. Oh Oreo did not edit out all signs signs of gay affection, I like Disney does. So Am I allowed to ask? What, what the movie is? Like, just okay. Well, if I'm going by just the headline that I am going to imagine that it's going to be about two Oreos. One of which is a regular Oreo, just like a rainbow colored area, and they become friends, and welcome to make out story. It's a problem. The story. Weren't listening, but I did say, it was a touching story about a family journey of a young LBGTQ plus, man. Oh, in Oreo, lgbtq, yeah, I just wanted to be Canon or he'll be so I'm that's what I'm gonna imagine. And in that case, I'm gonna give it a seven. Okay? I give it a seven too. All right. Five, seven, seven, three. Do you even want to wait in on this? Oreo come with Matt. I don't care too much. Yeah, that's right. That's right here. Okay, moving on next headline, Goldman Sachs took a stand on board diversity. Remember two years ago they implemented a policy where they would not help companies go public without a diverse board member, just won the first board member and now they're celebrating by saying that they just placed their 50th diverse directors. Maybe you can get a little context map because it's kind of hard to understand. All right. So I have a question out of the game. Matt. I feel like you stat a while ago about the percentage of white male managers. Maybe at Goldman Sachs must be 0%. Oh Goldman. Yeah 85%. It's like 80 plus percent great. That's all I need to know. It's a four. Oh, that's hi. I'm, I was thinking lower. Yeah. Go ahead. Matt. Well, I Actually don't know how many companies they've IPO. I don't know. I haven't looked at the league tables recently to know like the total transactions that cool Goldman's been involved in. I do know that 11 of 14. Goldman board of directors are white people. So depends on other than JP Morgan, which nine out of 10. Well, yeah, that's that's true. That's, that's our bar. So, however, I believe six or women, if I'm not mistake, there's a lot of women. Yes, a lot of white women on their five, white women and one woman of color. I don't know. Well, I got like they did mostly I'm going to give the headline a 0 because did they take a fucking stand like, come on with the fuck? Is that a stand? They also if you remember the rule from two years ago was this only applies in Europe and the US which is not the place where diversity is a major problem. There's like, zero women on boards in Asia and they were like A work, excluding them from this rule. So they basically said, wherever it's already culturally, like, okay and appropriate. We're taking a stand by making the it's dumb. It's a 0. I don't care. Wow, that's mention that one one. Yeah, one. And they couldn't do that in Asia. They couldn't say that one. I guess. Not like this. Sorry. They said they would not take a company public if it did not have at least one diverse director and that meant one woman or person of color depending on the low bar was the bar was so low that calling it taking a stand is a little strong for me. I'm gonna go. Okay stopping on the headline. Come on. Give me a score of Come on, I'm gonna give it a two. Yeah, where are you? Here are Shea I give her in the middle. I give it a five least there be your doing, so they're bringing it to the news that they want to make a stand. But he can't give him all the credit because they're not actually doing a lot Damian's. Mom, does the five? See, that's a well-reasoned five, unlike you chucklehead. All right. Three more headlines. The next one, the war. This is a good. This sounds good to me, the world can turn around the climate crisis, is according to a un report, the world can turn around the climate crisis. This decade, forget your 2050 shit. This decade people. Come on. This is not how this is just seems great though. No, I can go and you're not going to be happy Damien, I'm going to give it a five because they messed up the headline. It probably should say have to, we have to turn around the climate crisis in the next 10 years. Cool. That we can. But also we have to. So I do. I do remember reading something on the UN saying that they were concerned about the language. They were putting out there like they they didn't want to be constantly doomsday ish. Like they want to appear hopeful so maybe that's why I get it. It's frozen this way. There were targeting your mom. Dare you talk about my mom. I see you squirming up there. What do you have to say about this one? I mean, this is like a un greenwash, isn't it? Like it's the answer is actually Emma's correct that they, we have to, and I don't care. You don't like hearing doomsday things that to me is a user problem. Not a scientist problem. The answer is, we are fucked unless we do this immediately, period, okay? People don't like that and then we spend all of our time being like, Oh, can I give you some snow thick language to make me feel a little bit better about, here we go, we're lighting everything. There we go. Oh, you Do it. It's like it's like when my kid goes and plays t-ball, everyone gets a trophy because like Tucker Carlson get there. What are you talking about? I'm the Tucker Carlson of climate. You don't support the trophy making industry all the sudden dare you. All I'm saying, driven by a trophy store recently, by the way they're Dusty, they're decrepit. They need they need help. I'm saying is get over yourself with your language inhibitions and the fact is we're all on fire unless we do this. So the world can turn it around and we can do it. I don't care about that. I'm with Emma. We have to I'm gonna give it a three. See you. How they get angry. And anger is a show, goes on. Like, they get out of control. Are you, what do you think about this headline? I think she should be take Friday off, work every week and protest. Yeah, we're hanging out with your buddy talking about headlines. Are we kind of Give me a number. Come on. Like, oh, she's a funny. How seriously they take giving the number knowing, that's completely, but they, but there. But when asked, they're like, oh, I gotta say the right thing here. The headline just gives me anxiety, like existential anxiety, which everybody should feel. What do you think? I give it a zero. Are who was Zero? Yeah. So you're all right, I think I think it's not doing crap for anyone saying that it could change in the next decade that doesn't give us answers. That doesn't give us change that. They're not doing anything for it. We need a change in the next decade, it's government. Yeah, it's soft. It's a lot of words that I could give it. Yeah, it's just soft. Oh, shade of. Okay, I want that. Two more headlines here. This one's for Matt, really. I just think he'll get a kick out of this one. There's a headline. This company is launching indigenous branded crypto carbon credit. But that sounds great. Yeah, he said it again. Yeah. Go ahead indigenous branded branded. What? Yes. What does that mean to am I allowed to ask him? Yeah. It plans to sell crypto tokens, to offset carbon emissions that it claims will be created in partnership with First Nations. This is a Canadian company. It's happening with the involvement of actual indigenous people. Yes. Yes, they're called First Nations ESG tokens. That's what they're called. This is all true. Yeah, this isn't one of our ESG onion pieces on. It probably wasn't their idea, right? It was probably some dude in their basement. Oh I can do this love and go find some indigenous people. Like I'll give you a cut your face man. Yeah. I, wow, this is horrible. This is the first step to the dream which is like the the colonized tokens. Like, how many people did we call? Let's make a token for each person we displayed. Like, can you imagine, like, Ukrainian Refugee tokens right? Like, so, every Refugee that crosses a border, you just make an nft and someone can support them like in a weird way, like we could just make tokens out of everything and it goes back to our show yesterday, we talked about, you know, white male offset by expensify why solve a problem when you can put it on the blockchain and pretend you did a thing this? I love it, it's fantastic. It's the ultimate greenwash. I'm going to give it a 10 for that Matt here, you were just talking about how much like he's enjoying this whole thing. Here's a quote from the The article, this initiative is greenwash topped with more greenwash, garnished with blockchain. But man, I think, I mean, I think you're right map but Emma, you got score in this one. Yeah, I might have just cheated for a second, but when asked about the First Nation involved meant the yeah, who was doing this only named one. Former Chief of One Tribe who is involved Nation, former Chief representative. Okay, who has like been involved with the people for called him like us. But yeah, like but like Larry Bird was a former selfie but he'd still go to him. If you had a Celtics question you would not. He was former coach of the Pacers and you wouldn't say that he's on. Okay yeah this I'm pretty sure this sucks really really hard. It's a 0. Yeah, pretty sure he does. All right. Or she what we haven't heard or she's point of view on nfts and crypto and all this. What's your point of view here on crypto? All of it, nfts all the nonsense you like do you have any Do have some crypto. Oh here we go, maybe some money and so yeah, that he liked it, that's nice. He's like Sam bankman, freedom, but you can't wait what? You can't see like underneath his, he's actually not sitting on a chair, he's sitting on a pile of money. He made from pile of beer bags. Yeah, I got one of those bean bags from the FTX guy but they're only exclusive. I can't let you call me after the show, and tell me. All right, let's wrap up the show today, the good game, April 8th 2022 with. I hope is an easy dunk here. For all of you can Tangie Brown Jackson makes her story, as first black woman confirmed to Supreme Court, come on. Is that the headline? Is that a reference to the Michael Jackson? His story? Album. Thank you just. I think they're just, you know, languages, important languages, powerful. They're just, they're just rebranding. His story that his never heard the history thing that's out of it. Believe me. He's ranting about whining about trophies over there. I have, I just want to celebrate just her. I don't need like weird puns to do it or like he's already sees already down on the head. Like, come on, someone. Give me a score. Come on, let's grab this up. Come on. I hate to bring this up. But did you see Mitt Romney being the only one that left clapping? And standing during the conversation and yeah, Republican buddies leaving, awful awful. Yeah. This is a thing. Why did the rain on my headline here? Are you 10? It's just crazy. Okay, but now she's telling me like sad, Republican stories. Come on. Say that, for next week. It's just stories, really 10. Matt. I'll get peer pressured into a 10. Fine. I'm here. Come on. What's wrong with her story? Where have you been saying? Just say brown. Like she made that she's the first black woman to be at like that's a 10 by itself. So do you disagree with me that I refused to call people chairman? You just agree with that too. No I don't have any problem with that. Why do we have to call the difference? I get over. It's over. It's not. Oh, she sorry. Sorry, you have to hear this. What do you think about this one? We can give it to them. All right, come on, let's wrap it up. The winner of this week is actually the winner is, I don't know she. Yeah. Come on. Man, where were you of the March Madness, stocks? March sadness. Hello, Matt McCarty. Where'd you go with the sound effects? You just like, stopped giving me. I was at me. Yeah, no, he's not allowed. Before we wrap up. Does anybody have? Who won the week? Anyone want to win this? Who won the other Shay? Who won the week? Yeah. Ari who won the week because I know Ari will know. He's just making all agree. Yeah, our brand new okay Court Justice Jackson obviously. Duh. Yeah. I I'm tempted to say that Howard Schultz won the way you dare by say. Am I saying, companies are being assaulted by unions because I love to think of all the forms of like, harassment, assault that like employees and stakeholders are doing to companies. I love the idea that like the poor innocent companies are just in the middle of some, you know, great assault by everybody else. But you have to say Jackson won the week because that surprised you say that I'm I'm turning this one. Like between Elon, I love the expense of five white man offset. I love that too. I love the the villainy of Howard Schultz and and I gotta say like Elon Musk Buying 10%, essentially of Twitter putting himself on the board all within our week. That's is a busy, you know, winning I mean, we're not really like, you know, we're not really political pundits, I don't know. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go. Oh Shay on the way. Nice. Diplomatic Choice. Lame Shay. Do you, do you agree with? Do you agree with you win? I think this is my chance for fame and Glory so I'm gonna go with myself here, nice. We don't really get here. I have a prediction. Oh am I a prediction? Okay, hear me out. Yeah, I can't wait. Yeah, so Paul McCartney. Wrote the letter to Starbucks asking them to stop charging for plant-based milk, right? This is my prediction. I think that they are going. This was all in elaborate marketing Ploy by Starbucks to distract everyone, from the unionization effort. And so this letter is just the introduction. So they are actually going to comply with Paul McCartney's request. And then we are going to get like a nice little Paul McCartney commercial of some sort where he's like, hi, I'm Paul McCartney and I requested that Starbucks. Stop charging for plant-based milk. And they as the progressive company, they are agreed with me and implemented the policy. And I think that Paul McCartney is going to be a new Starbucks brand ambassador. Before we move on, Emma is the best predictor. Yeah, she kills you guys. She comes with. She's really, like, comes with a passion. I mean, she comes like, there's because I take yeah, predict I expand the definition of prediction to conspiracy theory because that's always remind me. I actually, I actually love that like, this is sort of, in the vein of Shaq joining, the Papa John's board to counteract. The fact that its founder as a horse racist, scum. Totally. I kind of like this. I don't like the idea of Paul McCartney like taking the spotlight off of an anti-union thing. But but then, they can whom I couldn't pull McCartney was never John. Lennon. He was always the, the commercial ones. So Emma, that's brilliant. And that's much better than my boring prediction, which is that Elon Musk is gonna bring a friend on Twitter's board. Is he went to work day. I'm hoping it's Kimball. I don't know who said, brother, I'm hoping it's Kimball and, you know, the cowboy hat wearing brooklynite. But it's Could be somebody on his side is going to join soon. That's my prediction. I have two predictions. Yo two. Yeah. First is Paul McCartney and Elon Musk have started the billionaire letter writing campaign Trend, which is okay. The idea that billionaires just realized that all they have to do is write letters to the companies and things will change. Like it's called they can just buy the icon. Yeah. Yeah I can't daughter. Yes, exactly. It's the icon in. I just I I'm really excited about like not buying a stock but doing letter writing campaigns, I just like them sitting down with like a quill pen and writing what they want from their companies. I like that mental image and dictating it to someone. Yeah, they're not riding at the door. Is coming in here. Please take down what I'm saying. Yeah. All of that is great. And it makes every one of them feel like Gerber's to me, which is all I want. And then number two, I do think we see an expansion of the offset Market. I think the expensify thing is the beginning of. Yeah, I think you're right, the of mass movement of crypto e, block Cheney plus like offsety stuff that is taking the idea that you don't like a behavior or a thing, the government isn't regulating the negative behavior or thing, whether it's like diversity, or carbon, or whatever, and you create a financial instrument, that fakes solves that thing, and you call it the offset of it. That is Right up the Zeitgeist of both crypto and Wall Street. And I, I can imagine a situation and, which is a whole trading Market of white dude. Offsets black person offsets, like gen Z offset, like, pick a thing. And you offset and offset me. That's what I'm saying? Yes, it's all and there's a marketplace where you can trade them. I'll give you three white dude. Offsets for one, you know, indigenous ESG token. Can you imagine that world? Because I can my prediction is that's what happens. I think should we make one? Like ground level here. OSHA you in? Yeah, let's do it as Ari predictions and I got none. I already didn't do predictions. Oh shit. You have any predictions? Oh man, not that we could talk about here. Do my gosh. Yeah we could. All right that's that's all I have. That was a good game. Thank you. That was business and the good game. That's O'Shea. Thanks to our Fancy Pants expert. I really just the winner, Mark sadness, winner and we'll Circle back around about some swag for you to get. Thanks to Ari and the data Queen, and Emma lurking.
