Hello, hello. Live. Oh from the top of blowhard mountain, it's yet another data Queen free edition of businessman's Friday. This is three in a row. I think I know what the heck. She's never going back. No, I miss her already. Please come back featuring all the data Queen's. Favorite people. Emma lurking. Matt Overlord. Greg Larkin. I'm a bald c word. That's what I am Greg's with us again today, we've got a great job today. He's like paying us to be. Why is he here so much? Is he paying us? Who's he paying his? He's better at ranting. Hey, he doesn't have to pay us. I'm sure. I think that everyone just listener for him to want to pay us All right, let's just get to it. Yeah, no sound effects, no Bells, nothing. No, okay, air horn. No one's giving me anything. I think that's how most. The country feels this week. Anyway, let's get right to a story of the week. As Matt give me a lingering. Oh, I don't need seven minutes. How dare you? I'm gonna do this in three. Uh, yeah, right. The story we talked about relentlessly this week, I guess. So I had to add it to the board HSB HSBC, suspends executive who slammed Nut Job. Climate change, risk warnings that's head of responsible investing. Stuart Kirk we really wait. What did that story? Was that head of responsible investing but again, I think I'm the only fan of Stuart because I have to say, we haven't defined what that means. Responsible investing, it could just mean that he's responsible for investing or something like, that's true. Good point. Number two, story of the week at least for me. Peter Thiel and Jack Dorsey are off of the powerful boards off their off of The Meta and Twitter boards. To me. It's big news. I don't know. I don't know when else cares and he's a significant shift. so, I put it on the story that We I mean, as if parag is in calling Jack Dorsey, four seconds after he's off the board to ask his advice and Egon Durban soon to be gone. It really is parag's board. Now, I suppose, you know, it was really high-fiving himself. His hometown baby number three, story of the week where we started the week. Was Abbott Laboratories CEO Bob, Ford, he actually apologized kind of, I mean, he didn't, he did kind of in The Washington Post for the shortage of baby formula here in the US. That was back when the week wasn't so horrible. Did he? Did he apologize? You know bacteria or just the shortage? I don't know. He first, he praised himself for like that's true. He did that Abbott solved. Something somewhere once. But anyway, it was, we haven't had a CEO apology and a week of that high level, you know, S&P 500. So it was exciting for me. Again, this is all for me. And finally, the fourth story is the one that's causing most of America. Hey, everything is, I'm totally one of the great age of corporate and difference is really upon us as mums, the word On the mass shooting to happen in Texas. This is a although I did see that. Goldman Sachs CEO said something that's that's about it. this is just like the, I don't know if this is the The Hangover from anti woke Disney. In Florida. I don't know what this is a hangover for, but this is like, I don't know, this is just pure, I remember I I told the audience that when Matt, and I started this show when we were msci, We were talking about the Parkland shooting and there was quite a bit of corporate response to that quite a bit. And I don't know if it was all song and dance or the care whatever, but three or four years later, it is pretty quiet out there. Maybe they're packing for Memorial Day. I don't know what they're doing, but this seems to be an issue not to be quiet about and I'll leave it at that. Those are my four stories of the week. Well, I wouldn't expect to hear that much from the banks about Texas because, in Louisiana, if a bank where to say something about guns gun policy, how we need less guns? You know, anything reasonable. If a bank were to speak like a human, About the gun problem, that only exists in this country. Louisiana would say we can no longer do business with you according to their well laws. So HSBC, they they need some good press. I don't they I know they're in the UK, but who cares? Why don't they? Start showing just be see if they, if they want to, they should double down and they should say more guns, and less climate change. Then they'd be the Sole Provider of Finance to Texas, Louisiana and Florida. I don't understand. Help me. I was at why is there the only person with a moral compass left in America? The former co-host of The Man Show Jimmy Kimmel, he's like the only one saying anything Ah, why can't we get a CEO Adam Carolla? Because why can't we get a CEO to say something? I thought you were gonna say Steve Kerr. Well, so that her. Yeah, that was just a good point. Steve Kerr is a good liberal. Steve Crow, the coach of the Golden State Warriors, former Chicago Bulls. He also has led a life of led, a life of tragedy. His, his father was gunned down, if I'm not mistaken. So he he's first handle that or something, wasn't he? Yeah. First gun shooting anyway. I don't know why you buzz me, but actually tell me. Why did you buzz me? I didn't like the phrase. Good liberal son. He's a terrible liberal. He's a conservative whatever you want to call him. I don't care. I don't even American, I don't even know something about it. Something about it. Who wants to vote on these? Basically depressing stories. Anybody, I mean look, I can't vote for Stuart Kirk. I can't vote for any of them. Except this is a story shooting, it's all just the mass shooting is the story of the week. It is the story of America for the last 20 years. I mean, we we literally watched Bowling for Columbine the movie. How old is that? It's 22,000. 25 years old. It's not like he's in the 90s. It was a while. Early 2000, late 90, something like that. We've been having the same conversation forever in this country. I don't know why but it is a story of the week also because you missed an apology in there. You missed Walmart apology, apologize for June 18th yeah, velvet cheesecake. Ice cream. I was gonna throw that into some area of indifference because again like and I think I have a prediction about that actually later. But yeah, in general, maybe maybe the country is just stunned in general by everything, but I just feel like, yeah, everyone no one's even getting outraged by that. I don't know. I mean Everyone just quiet. Usually people would would rake Walmart through the city through the coals, but they're not doing that. Well, I mean, it helps it helps to have a mass shooting to take the the air out of the true ice cream. Yeah, that yeah. Um, I'm gonna agree with Matt. There's really no debate here. I mean when okay when you have school shooting, everything else, what am I to do? Here your voting for silence? No, that's true. There's no judgment. There's no like judgment on these stores. It's just story of the week. There's no. Like, it's just that's it. This, yeah, yeah. I mean, the fact that there's been An average of one a week and then you us and one shooting. Yes. Yes, there's been about a mass shooting on average once a week. I did hear Scott Galloway. Drop a stat that was this year. There will be more preschoolers killed by gun then police officers. Killed. Okay. Yeah. What I mean. There's nothing more depressing than everything. I can't corroborate this because I'm not actually an idiot. Who just sees something. Internet says, it's a fact, but did see in Reddit, someone suggesting that it is now the leading cause of death for under 18. Is by saw that too. I saw the same thing. It's beat out cars, cars crashes, I mean what what then are we doing? And even more shockingly can suck my ass even more shockingly, which upsets me is that? I actually finally found something to agree on with with Idiot Boy, Elon Musk because he also supports much more stricter, background checks for gun buying support. He's not American. So he probably He's probably saying about guns. You know that wasn't what he in the same. Yeah that he said, stricter background checks would be a good idea. He also was tweeting about Bill Gates and said, you wouldn't believe what he's been putting in your vaccine. Oh, really? Yeah. So and that is if you did after saying he's Republican now, so it doesn't. He's our moral Arbiters now. And you know what? That's the real story of this, the Arbiters of morality and Justice and like, you know, making leveling the playing field or effectively billionaires. and, They're not so good at it. They're pretty being billionaires though. I'll try to share a little bit. That's it through the week, the great age of corporate and differences upon us at least for school shootings which seems like the one thing you wouldn't be and abortion. Congratulations. Your dual effecta. Oh yeah. Let's move on to Ari's category, good list of the week. This is in spirit of the data Queen. Here we go. I'll go quickly here. Here's the headline, Ford F-150 Lightning first sale, goes to would-be Tesla cybertruck buyer. So I thought this would be good. I thought this is a good because while elon's twirling his thumbs, maybe everyone else is gonna catch up. That made me feel good. That's all I, I questioned anybody who was going to buy a cyber truck in the first place but still okay. Still. Hey, Elon promises a lot of Tesla. Remember the the full self-driving autopilot nonsense. Remember I love I've been seeing a lot of like, reviews of what he is actually accomplished in his life comparing to the promises compared to the promises. And how's that? It's really a fantastic amount of not stuff that he's done. So this might be why another reason why I dropped out of the S&P, is she in there? Because again maybe the governance over there is a little wonky so I'm I thought it was good for catching up in the second one to kind of similar. Mark, Zuckerberg says Meadows, metaverse project will lose will lose significant sums of money for up to five years. So yet again, maybe we have another core governance disaster where the dude who controls all of the decisions that she's gonna kind of slowly. Shit to bed. Maybe maybe he'll just because who's to say that slowly who's gonna say that. He's gonna figure this metaverse project out. I mean, I I don't know it. It's a monetary interests. I really, I really hope that the metaverse is Jumping, the Shark for most of humanity. When they, when they wake up and realize like wait you want me to put on like a giant like ridiculous goggles and walk through a fake world for hours on end? What why would I do that? Like that's seems like not fun. Speaking of the metaverse, the UAE the United Arab Emirates said this. Today that they they want the UN to help hold people responsible if someone gets killed in the metaverse. So we're already like in a weird. Oh, great. Oh, We're already on turned with metaverse murderers. Then we are actual murders of children. I like that people have rights in the metaverse but like we take away women's rights in real world and we shoot children in the real world. It's really, it's just a number one, and a police. Number three, good list of the week, Emma's gonna scoff. But here's here's what just threatening to former Union can do. Apple is Raising base pay for retail workers to 22 dollars an hour that's workers pushing the United Hey, wow. You know. It's actually it's actually a reasonable starting wage, I mean it's it's money. Its money. If you if you unionize, you don't get this rate though. Yes. Well that I don't know about this is a cursory. Look at the headlines. Channeling are the data. Queen number four, Another one that you probably both will scoff at Aviation giant KLM to face legal action and first major challenge to airline industry greenwashing. I like this one because I feel like the airlines are the best at this because when you're, when you're buying tickets, and you're looking at the brochures and the plane and they always make it seem like they're doing all these great things to offset this and they're, you know, they're pouring a little bit of their cult, 45 out to save the environment. I don't know what they're doing. Maybe, I don't know what it is. Oh, Emma has to say, is, I have more to say about that. I just like it. I like it. And if the fifth grade is story of the week as I finish wander time, Oh, two shareholder. Proposals win majority support for climate proposals at One X on one at Chevron. I want to chevron's a little goofy because actually 98% of shareholders voted in favor of a resolution, calling on the company to reevaluate evaluate its methane emissions numbers. And that's because The Chevron board also said to vote on it because it's there, they're gonna do it anyway. So so what is this? What why this song and dance of it? Why not why why make them vote it? If they're going to do it anyway? They want to like the pattern themselves in the back here. I don't get that one. All right, like that features though and Exxon 52% of shareholders supported resolution asking the company to analyze and Report how a decline and fossil fuel demand would affect its financials also known as climate transition risk. So anyway there we go. That's those are my good least stories of the week. Well I think you bury the lead on that one. Which go ahead 90% of shareholders voted in favor of the 90. No 8%. Right? Because the board I did because the board also supported that little proposal which is very rare in Corporate America. The board said to vote for that one. Because they're gonna do it anyway. Well. Then 98%. So, all right. Now what those two percent, every I that's what I was like, oh, Stuart Kirk and his book. It was, yeah. Stuart Kirk probably, he has a very big book club. They're reading, David Becker's, new novel, I think, um, I, I I don't know what to choose here. Amity of a you have. Yeah, yeah, go. Okay. Don't care about cyber trucks. Know? Know you're missing the point. Yeah, it's fine. It's fine. Let her miss the point cyberpunk, the Tesla. That's don't say the word cyber truck to me, you know, better than that. The point Okay. The point is he can't build a subject doesn't know how to get it out there for sale. He's just promises it. Lalalala, don't care. What is he's not good at his job? It's like Trump's. I know he's not good at his job. Okay, go ahead. Okay. So bye-bye, cyber trucks. I like that. Mark Zuckerberg is losing money. That's interesting to me. So putting that one in the back burner. First second you missed a headline which is that Apple got recorded telling their employees, the dangerous Union, I get it, I get it. Yeah, but he didn't say Ari here, how do you volunteering to do goodies, that we calling Emma. This is just trolling Emma together. She's an apple story and she's not gonna do it. No, no, no. Yes, I just like this. No, I think this is, I any retail. Giant that pays a base sell of 20 total dollars an hour to me, it's good. Okay, I had to get a job there soon. Um, I'm The. KLM one. Driving with how the headline was written. Aviation giant KLM, to face legal action in first major challenge to airline industry, green watching. I just don't like the headline. Why did they Aviation giant like the planes. The planes are getting sued for bad. Bad greenwashing, there we go. That's a better headline moving on the plane's. Okay, yeah. I'm feeling very simple today, just like, say with me in the most simple words possible. And then I am, I have to admit, I am feeling sort of positively about these climate, proposals, that eggs on and Chevron, for whatever reason, I'm just excited to see something happening. And yes, I wish and I wish that something more actively bad was happening to Mark Zuckerberg than him just like losing money. He doesn't need. So I'm going with eggs on and Trevor on. All right oh you go for the wonky, nerdy alternative democracy of small victory that I am going to say that. I I like that when all. So I don't think I'm gonna vote for it but I like that one also because the reason why we got to this point is friend of the show. And number one, put new board members on the exam board and if the exam board says vote for this, No that's got you got your stories mixed up the Chevron on board. So this Where was it? The Exxon board. Did not support that but the shareholders did support that resolution. Now, never mind, engine number one, you're out. I'm not a friend anymore, you know? Frenemy Frenemy Frenemies. Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Ford F-150. I love a good cyber truck. I like, I like anybody who actually was a musk Fanboy saw the cybertruck presentation when he breaks the glass accidentally and says, you know what, that's a car I have to have. And then yeah and then sits around for three years and he's like, where is that car? Where is my cyber truck? And Ford comes out and says oh by the way, here's a truck. And it actually works and it drives and PS. It can be a battery for your house and look the glass. We don't throw rocks at the glass to prove some stupid you know, man point. I like all of it and I'm going with that. Oh boy, I gotta break the tie here. I'm gonna break the tie, I'm gonna I'm gonna say, yeah, I'm gonna go Tesla because I I'm I'm hopeful like that. This is the beginning of the unraveling. I don't know. I it's not but I really just breaking the tie because you feel like Emma didn't get it like that. No I just want to. I want to be optimistic. I love that. Damian thinks I didn't get it. I want to go to music about something and I feel like Maybe the world's gonna start to turn on Elon? I don't know. I'm hoping. All right. I think it's about time for us to shut up for a couple of minutes. If that's something, we're even capable of for this week's installment of a punks and Pinstripes minute with the famous Greg Clark. And well at least he's famous stuff. Here he is. Problem with ESG ratings is that it's a rating. restaurants, have hygiene ratings bombs, have credit ratings, but stocks have analysts. But not with the ESG. ESG has ratings not Atlas. So when Elon musk's starts whining because Tesla has a bad ESG rating. You don't hear the voice of the person who created the rating. It's a problem but it wasn't always like this a million years ago. When ESG was a fledgling niche market, I was an ESG Analyst at innovest, which was one of the pioneering startups that eventually through acquisition became msci. But in the startup days, we were encouraged to go toe-to-toe with Wall Street. Those fights on TV and in the Press, were how we attracted new interest into our alternative perspective. It was instrumental to the growth of ourselves and the growth of our brand. Once msci owned us. They sent our analysts into the basement to become data cops. Absolutely, one of the reasons that ESG is achieved some degree of product Market fit. But the risk is what we're seeing right now. When somebody disagrees with an ESG rating, for example about Tesla, they can't speak to Cyrus Loft. Support the brilliant analysts who analyzes Tesla. So I think it has to shift. If you don't know the analyst, you cannot trust the analysis. If you're still talking to me. Come back next week for another punks and Pinstripes minute with me. Greg Larkin. Thank you so much to Greg for sharing your wonderful, wonderful content with us. If you want, more of Greg, as I'm sure you do, you can check him out at punks and pinstripes.com, which is just the coolest organization ever. And I think it's time to get back to our nonsense. Now, Damien, come on, moving on. As holy is the week, Matthew mascardi. Come on. All right, I've changed up. We're doing anti-hero of the week, this week, not asshole of the week. And the first hero of the week is very simple. It's HSBC anyone who pays for the head of responsible investment responsible investment to go on stage and talk about how annoying it is to do the work on climate change. How it doesn't matter for 50 years, how stonks go up and humans. Figure everything out is my hero for saying what everyone says and being a jerk. So now I promise not Cancel you HSBC. If you actually take climate change seriously, because it will kill us all. And I just want to Echo one of the comments to Stuart Kirk on his LinkedIn page from Pat Houle, an engineer at TRW Automotive, said, Stuart a hero for our times. I'm gonna say he's an anti-hero for our times, okay? So that's optional number one, Stuart Kirk Pat. Number two that name? Yeah. Good name. Pat, who will? Yeah, so number two of a dirty joke. Yeah, go ahead. Pre-recorded messages. Okay. This week, we got no fewer than four, pre-recorded memories that were, that are relatively new or fantastic. First, I vote for this one. Karna CEO using a recorded message to tell employees that 700 of them were being laid off. In fact, karna if you don't know what klarna is there a fintech company they do buy now pay later and their co-founder Nicholas adelbert real name. I guess said at a stupid conference once that this is one of our revenue streams. So actually the best customer is the one that doesn't pay directly but actually get a reminder and then all so debt collection because we are able to add legal fees. Oh, that is the co-founder. So tell me pre-recorded video wasn't the best part of your day if you worked there like that, that's your co-founder. This is great and I not even the same guy who did the pre-recorded message, that's how good. The other co-founder is because that's, I mean, like that's the two winners is a tandem that you want. Um, the second pre-recorded message carvana actually had a chaotic bunch of Zoom firings, capping, the struggles amid market downturn. And yeah. Um, but let me ask you something. What is worse? Working for a company whose mission statement is quote, a car buying solution that is fun fast fair, and powered by technology, know or not working for that company, via pre-recorded message. That seems, I don't know me carvana is the name of the company. The third pre-recorded message is Governor. Greg Abbott actually canceled his in-person NRA convention apps Houston and he's doing a pre-recorded message instead in Houston which is great. Nobody wants to see Greg Abbott. Say words like guns don't kill people people with Guns kill people or whatever and yeah a win somehow know that's what I'm saying. This is the anti-hero of the week, the pre-recorded message and then the third prerecorded message is Apple unionism unionizing. 22 dollars, an hour turns out Deirdre O'Brien, Emma pointed this out, this company, senior vice president of retail and people, Sent a pre-recorded six minute message that said Unions would complicate Apple's relationship with an employees and it would make it more difficult for them to work with them. Would you rather? Yeah. Get a six minute message from Deirdre O'Brien and wish you could punch her in the face. But don't go to jail or she told you that to your face and you punched her and went. No, we're not punching women. Stop saying, wait a minute who were this message went to the to the employees to the reality. Okay, six minute message. Oh man, six minute who has a tension has been for that about the production. Value was great. My number three, anti-hero is Summits honestly some this is the Damien Rallis equation right here, put in employee at a stage divided by laughter, give them 15 minutes and it equals wonderful because we had Davos, we're all sorts of stuff happened. We had ft moral money, where Stuart Kirk unloaded, Summits are great. We need people on stages, saying things. What Matt is referring to is that, I don't know if maybe, I don't know if I told you this, but my dream. Well working for msci. Or any big company was that every employee every year, should have to give 10 to 15 minutes of stand-up comedy? Yeah. Oh, I know this and I heartily disagree. I think this is the worst idea. You're a terrible person. What is wrong with you? Why would you not want to see that? You want to see? Hey, everybody, 100, amateur stand-up comedians. Okay, to be fair, I didn't work in the New York office. My office was smaller. But, yeah, actually, yes, I want to, at least access to that to that database people you want? Yes. Oh my God, even better. Yes, even better. I want Deirdre O'Brien after sending a six minute pre-recorded message to Apple employees about how they shouldn't unionize to do a six-minute stand-up routine and then watch people try to take it. Seriously, that's what I want. My last anti-hero is and this is a last-minute addition that Damian basically added is Blackrock and racial audits because BlackRock, apparently somehow figured out that they can vote no, on a shareholder vote for racial audits across the board, but do an internal racial audit, because it's very, very amusing to do racial audits. So I'm going to make them an anti-hero for doing a racial auditing. No on them. Those are my four. It is HSBC pre-recorded messages. So it's and black rock. I'm Just impressed that you finished in time. Yeah, well, I mean you want me to go first? Yeah, I added feeling. I can go. Yeah, I already think I announced actually what I was voting for asthma, pre-recorded messages. Yeah, it is 100% pre-recorded messages because I also noticed the high, the weirdly high volume of pre-recorded messages in the news, this week and found it to be strange. And they all are, and like, they all are bad. They were bad actors everywhere. There was no, like I got a pre-recorded message, that would be good. For example, is the Cameo. I got my mom of a Great British Bake Off contestant for her. Yes. And that's a nice one pre-recorded message that he recorded message. Yeah. How much did that set you back for? How much is that? 60 bucks, 60 bucks. Wow, that's totally worth it. Yeah, totally to have my mom cry. Sorry Mom. I'm so outing, you. I like it when your mom cries, too. I say. 60 bucks for that. What? Basically right. Yeah, it's pre-recorded messages for very obvious reasons. It's hard to anti-hero of the week. It's a good one man. He did well this week. Well, you know, I don't want to vote for my game that are here. I don't want to vote for HSBC for anything. The summits. I like, how you threw that in, but I can't vote for that. I'm really, I'm, I kind of want to vote for black rocks. I kind of like that. Yeah, they're really taking their name, seriously. Like they kind of are being okay to block people and this instance, but they're stubborn as a rock, and that instance, that's a terrible. But I got to go with pre-recorded messages. It's just, you gotta go with your friends. You got a pre recording a message fire for that joke. This is why the world needs to listen to only us because we actually find Trends. No one else. They don't know what they're doing. They have it, you know, Professor Scott always got like, a team of like, eight, researchers and writers. He's not picking up on this new one. He doesn't know, I would love to see the Southside paper about the trend and pre-recorded messages, I'm going to employees. I don't think it's gonna happen but I love it. That's it. That's your winner. Then pre-recorded messages moving on. Yeah. Oh, you're tinning is of the week. I'm a lurking. Yeah. Emma always wins the the week. Well, he did today. Yeah, you kind of pulled an Emma, you kind of pulled an Emma a little bit. You know, we'll see, we'll see, we'll see. Okay, so irritating of the week. Number one. A Microsoft exec, allegedly watched VR porn and the office, and we hate inappropriately toward women employees. So, the first thing that I find entertaining about this aside from the obvious, is the fact that the CEO of Microsoft Satya Nadella has promised to end the company's tolerance for quote, talented jerks. Why couldn't even just call them jerks? Yes. The fact that their talented seriously who cares. They're this is, yeah, users and Weirdos stop. It's like all the anti-semitic jerks I want to school with and I was a kid who would call him or like like a like a military genius or something. Just go f yourself like really. Go, go go die. Somebody told you that Hitler all the time. All, I don't know. Maybe, just a horrible place as I went to school, but there were there was really cool. The kids were always fascinated with those books in the library. All the girls, I mean, Damien In fairness, you went to school in 1930, Germany. Mill Town in a million and a Catholic Milltown in the middle of nowhere. Yeah. So that's part of your problem. Hey, I All right, just following my parents around. He they were taking him with them, he was Following them around stalking. And my parents would never would never said that never said that. So keep going. Keep going. How come Emma? Doesn't have a timer? No, she should. She should go on forever. Yeah, so this man, whose last name is kipman kitten. Is alleged to have watched a lewd VR video in the office in front of employees, according to a person that was present. And this particular VR porn video featured women in skimpy, clothing. On a bed and engaging in an overtly sexualized. Pillow fight to tell us exactly what he was watching. I mean, yeah, he had to go there. Sorry. Oh yeah, that seems like a Netflix show. Well this I think the the response from Satya probably has me the most annoyed. Like we know that and Microsoft has a historically sexually abusive like workplace, they tolerate a lot of bullshit and Satya to call them talented. Come on man. Yeah, it was. the wrong, you're right, wrong choice, awards and saw you part of the part of the, you know, his call to action when he took over was to start to get rid of the Old Guard of creepy. And they really they vaguely promised that somehow. But that's a vaguely. He said. Yeah, let me ask you this. Emma was this, was this a Microsoft produced VR? Like what could have been part of their job? I mean, I don't even know, like, I'm just saying they have testers for that. This is an executive if it were some sisters for that. Yeah, you know, they do, that's why contractors Yeah, they don't have their office. Absolutely. Hey. Okay. Was it a sexualized? Pillow fight that? That's the part. That's confusing to me. Yeah, I'm just asking, like they didn't specify the porn sounds terrible either way, doesn't it? Okay? A good idea is not to actually do anything. VR related, period is great. This is aside from satya's, poor choice of words here, and it's just proving more and more that VR. Why are we focused on it? What? I don't need someone to give me a better argument for YVR should exist. Moving on. Number two, Gender parity is 135 years away unless we speed up progress in politics and economics according to a world economic Forum panel. So what I just heard was the world is going to explode from climate change, before we reach gender equity, which is cool. Oh yeah, we talked about the all the time. Yeah, I don't know that you had the time to look more deeply into this, but is that number 135 years away? Is that number increase since the pandemic? I mean we're I feel like we were closer. Yeah. This is getting right because I feel like we're. Yeah. Okay, that's good. Good news, which is, you know. Irritating. That's why I got it irritating to me. That's tragic and tragic. Yeah, exactly. But you know irritating, what I've got. So stupid, Kirk Matt, give me a favor Channel Stuart, Kirk on this one. This is got why we bother investing in like, women on boards. I don't know why diversity is an issue at all when it's going to get solved 135 years from now. Humans figured this stuff out. Yeah, right. I need to think about this now because we have 135 years and dropped 25% one day people. Why am I worried about? Women, you're missing, you're also missing the main highlight, which is that the stock market will continue to go up regardless, whether there's gender parity or not, skunks to the moon and who cares of women are underwater and ten years? That's 10 years from now, okay? And finally, number three Buzzy for that. Kim Kardashian. We don't talk about a Kardashian every day here. Kim Kardashian to promote beyond meat as you Chief taste consultant I'm doing this basically to make Damien sad. I'm really sorry. No, I like I'm fine with this. Um, I'm not sure why we're interesting Little Miss weight loss to taste test. What are you doing? Emma yeah. Can what does sounds like vaguely like fat shaming? Yeah, for weight loss lollipop. What are you doing? What are you up? Are you Emma problematic weight loss, products to young girls on Instagram, who's brains haven't fully? Would you rather she was working directly with the Texas? Cattle industry? Is that what you want? Yeah, of bacon, porn. What are you up to over there? Emma? She's just a talented jerk. Oh, maybe, maybe she's kind of actually, she is a talented jerk in some weird way. Yeah, go ahead. I think everybody is. Yeah. I think. So first of all, why would I trust Kim? Kardashian's taste buds. Like I know that woman just you like Davidson, don't you? Yeah, he's like friends with all the billionaires and it sketches me out like he's gonna go to the moon or whatever. Oh no, he's not going anymore, right? I forgot. Um, But I don't trust her taste buds. She like she lost however, many pounds and like, three weeks to fit into Marilyn Monroe's, dress. I don't know about what eating enough for me to be trust her with my products. I don't know what you're doing there. That sounds like you should be buzzing yourself for that. Yeah, I very good about, and I saw this story when I saw you were picking the story. I looked up Kim Kardashian restaurants and they're actually on spoon University, real website over 10 favorite, weather, or restaurants in New York City. And many of them are delightful. I'm sorry, she's of course. Yeah, exactly the main reason that I included the story, however, is that it is proof that beyond meat is up to no good if know if there's a Kardashian involved I'm sorry they're uploading their promoting their product. She's not Crypto, like your boyfriend, Tom Brady, I know who's involved in cry. Every single Kardashian? Yeah, the current cooling Kardashian actually. Okay, take it back. I'm a fan of promoting, she was sued on January, for promoting nft ski. Okay, dude, for a pump and I was used, I am not voting for this one, am I? Because I really wanted me in the street here, I want them to be interested to suffer. I don't care who has to promote, beyond me. You think that? Okay. Who does beautiful restaurant that Matt speaks of? And Think she's eating beyond meat. You think she's not eating a sandwich or she's doing. I'm just saying, I want to promote the demise, the meat industry. Okay. That's all I want. I'm saying is that I'm making really excellent arguments and Damian is an ignoring all of them. So I'm going to acknowledge myself. Oh, Jay correct. Answer this week. This is the most irritating. That's the most irritating. That no no most time story. This week is Microsoft. Why is fine talented jerks? Yeah, I don't know. You were right initially emo what percent? Right? I hate that. I hate that. There's nothing more irritating. Then he's Justified the fact that you had them in the first place by writing the word talented there rather than taking a some responsibility for the fact that you hired a jerk you say talented so that you can justify yourself instead of saying jerk which makes you look like an idiot. Just say Jerks. They're just like it sounds like him like, you know, We had to do it to get here. Who else were we to higher? But talented jerks. They got us to this man you need men. Emma. Is that a quote He recently said about this instance, this is from the past that he was promising. No, no. This is I believe recent? Yeah. Okay. Um, I I think you sold it well, initially. I don't know why you got all in a kerfuffle about Kim Kardashian, but you had me a talented jerks because, I mean, it don't work. So, I'm going, I'm voting for that one. Yeah, the Kardashians were the final straw with Beyond me. Mark my words, we will find out something bad about Beyond me. Predicting it, predicting it, right? But you lost your own contest because both Matt and I are voting for whatever, that's the Friday show before we get out of here, mats are already like playing Candy Crush, I can see his phone. Anyone away on who won the week, Guns. Okay, that's a terrible answer. That's terrible person they they want, I'm sorry the truth but it's I spent two and a half hours after the shooting. After I saw news of the shooting look, going down a rabbit hole of every publicly traded company. That sells guns cells are manufacturers guns. And what their boards look like, and what kind of resolutions are there and lo and behold, every single one of them for the most part has a resolution from the nuns or the Catholic church or some religious organization. Basically saying, can you please do like a human rights audit about how many people you kill? Let's just by selling your product and I realized the problem is never going to be solved. Unless you literally stop making the guns you need, you're telling them. It's not like fossil fuel where you're asking them to like pivot their business model to something more sustainable over the course of the next five years, you're saying, you cannot like, you make so many of these things. You sell them to whoever you want like and you take no responsibility. We don't need this many. He guns in this country and I went down that rabbit hole only to find out that the guns actually used in the shooting were private company. That was entirely self-funded by a guy who started building stuff in his garage and you cannot stop that. There's no financing mechanism. There's no nothing. You cannot stop it. So guns win the week because guns win all the time because you know when you have a gun you do stupid things. You raise a good point instead of working on background checks and all that, why don't we just stop manufacturing guns? Can we do that? Can you get that happening? Matt start that start that I start. Maybe like we have enough. I actually, I was thinking on like, when I was driving my kids off this morning, in the terrible moments, when you dropped them off and you're thinking like is today, the gay, someone brings a gun to my kids school. Now, um, I'm thinking to myself, I should apply to get a tank. And I want somebody to tell me, I don't have the right to protect my family with a fucking tank. Because if you have the right to have a gun that shoots like 7 million rounds per minute, at whatever you want because, oh, you're a law-abiding citizen. Well, I'm a law-abiding citizen. I want a tank. So you can stay away from my house, I'll park it in my front yard. And then, if you had any question about whether what I'm going to do, if you come on my property, there's a tank there and then you're going to tell me, that's ridiculous. And you're going to tell me that's ridiculous because no one needs a tank. All right, well, let's follow the logic. That's really stupid guy. So, what happens when your neighbor gets a bigger tank? That's, that's the day. I stopped sleeping over your house. All right. Who who won the week for me? I'm going with two entities here and they are entities Davos and Walmart because nobody seems to be paying attention to blow hard billionaires or tone deaf companies anymore at least this week. So they're kind of skated through nicely, I like it. No one camera. Um I think that talented jerks by far one this week because they could have just been called jerks but they got a Bonus compliment attached to their sexual harassment. Oh, you know what maybe we're reading this wrong maybe what he means is that they're talented at being a jerk like that's their talent. That's interesting Damien. Yeah are you? Yeah, he could have Jerks with Talent. Yeah. Are you just texted me? I think she's in Italy somewhere. She said that her husband won the week because he gets to hang out with her. That's not true. That's absolutely true. I like that one. I'm at predictions on the fan, on the fence with that one, any predictions. I have one. If you guys want to think of yours, I have actually have them. My prediction is a DJ diesel. That is the CEO of Goldman Sachs, releases a song about increasing background checks for gun purchases. I don't know how the lyrics are gonna be. It sounds a little clunky to me. I don't know if he's gonna go with like a b, a b rhyming scheme. I don't wanna be up to but he's gonna release it soon. Hopefully for some Festival in the Hamptons. There must be some Hamptons Festival this summer, right? I know that you probably you're going to those, right? Totally. Yeah. So it's probably in time for some Festival out there. That's all. DJ diesel. White party Humanity. Yeah. Um, I have a prediction Are you ready? I'm gonna say it now, yay. I'm ready. More than ready. Elon Musk is going to hire, Stuart Kirk as a CEO of Twitter. Oh, wow. Actually. I think they're a match made in heaven. Actually, I mean, I don't know, a little bit, I don't know what CEO, Emma, but I could see, you know, I was so sweet. Yeah, I was being a little bit hyperbole with the placement, like I understand that CEOs, a bit of a reach, but he's gonna end up somewhere. I like this, you know, because they always in person in, I agree, they kind of are the same person, which is sort of my logic because Elon makes the electric vehicles talks about saving the planet but really doesn't do it at all and contradict himself constantly and aligns himself. The Republican party and it makes absolutely no sense. Stuart Kirk is the head of responsible investing. And when in just told a room full of hundreds, Hundreds of people not to worry about it. So I think that they need to work together and some capacity it's like a nightmare come true. You think there are many people in that room hundreds and probably not maybe friends and fives. Am I prediction is a 100 percent certainty and that is there will be more guns. That's well that's my one thing we do know 100% certainty. One thing we do know is that you have gun purchasing goes up after these events. After I don't get that, I did have a second prediction that I was gonna write down but then Damian actually just ruined it because my second prediction was I did Ari will not have a prediction. Oh she just texted me and she says I never have predictions, right? So she so it means you have a prediction. So my second prediction already didn't come true. Damn. Okay, that's that confusing way to end the show. That's our that was Matt's attempt to at the metaverse. I think it was that your that was that was very meta. That was Damian Ross and I'm looking at mascara, we are free float media. It's Friday, it's Memorial Day. We will not be here on Monday, because every no one is around. Emma will be working there. We're gonna make, we're gonna give him a project. Yeah, well, Emma is like, we're gonna get much 22 dollars an hour if she doesn't recognize, and I'm going to do something. I've already made a pre-recorded message, telling Emma that she cannot leave her office on Monday. So you have to write a song about Deidre. O'Brien, the chief people's officer Apple that's in the dark thing. Came about my project. Don't bother me. I think we need more Sonic. Actually a next week. You know what we're gonna do? I'm gonna make this up right here, right now on the spot, listening to the show. Yeah, we will run a business, Sonic competition running through next Friday. If you write a business, Sonic, we will read it on the air if we like it. That's what we're going to do and the winner can get swag. How about that? We'll say, I do a haiku to get us out. Come on. No. Cop Out sonnets are hard. Hikes are dumb, sonnets you're doing sonnets you can do more than 17 syllables, Emma on the spot. I'm making it up right now. No one day. It's all your whole day, Monday. Cancel your Memorial Day, plans. It's your whole day. Monday, you're running a Sony drove. All right, it's on it. That's it. We'll see. You next week. Bye.
