Hearings, that certainly a story that we and why am I including that here? Because I'm really I'm reading that the normalization of crazy. Because really, that's what's going on in our country. I'm I think I'm like the only one watching. The commission, hearings out of everyone. I know you and everyone else NBC They're watching two, but that's their job. But why am I the only one watching anyway? I in the United States were normalizing crazy. Here's some of the things going on, okay? It's all Elon and this category I'm gonna oh, now I hate the kids and I don't know how much of this he really even want me to go over. I'll try to do as quickly as possible. Elon's backing, run to Santa's who called him an African American that was already. Yeah, yeah, Tesla. Investors suing musk for fostering a toxic Place culture of discrimination harassment. SpaceX just fired employees for releasing a letter. That criticized, Elon Musk that happened quickly, too. That letter leaked like today. Yeah, that's pretty fast. Elon Musk tells he had a big meeting with the Twitter stuff. He said that they're going to, you know, he wants Twitter to have outrageous tweets. He's pretty excited about outrageous tweets. You know, normalization of crazy musk pledging no changes at Twitter. Except for exceptional workers. That sounds a little bizarre to me. I like this. They're saying that his comments were confusing and hilarious, both true. Inside a reporting that his performance was rambling and incoherent. One person told Vox he is demonstrating a dangerous lack of knowledge about technical policy and operational matters. Another person is suing Elon Musk and SpaceX and Tesla for 250 billion dollars. On behalf of investors defrauded by Dogecoin. Um, I hate all this, I know. Can we just skip the rest and then 90 things? And then finally, I thought this was interesting out of Texas. Remember, he's moving a lot of his Enterprises at Texas because they supposedly, don't regulate. But here's a quote from the from a transportation planning consultant based in Austin about the boring company, Elon musk's boring company that the quote is, it's extremely unusual, especially for a major company like that to basically ignore State safety. Oh yeah, no, that's unusual and usual for must to ignore a law. Anyway, yes, so that's what's going on. That's my normalization of crazy. That's what's going on. The US doesn't feel like no, Matt, you're not a lot of talk. This is my phone number two, ongoing anti-woke Wars. Goal, Goldman. Now being investigated, Matt featured a letter from senator, from Montana yelling at age. Threatening HSBC for running his company the way it needs to, that's fun. That's number two. Number three, I put a category all the stuff that we can continue to ignore but maybe at our own Peril starting with the NASDAQ. It's opening bell, rings in the metaverse for the first time that I think in the metaverse now. Know what's recording? Nobody should have. Made into an nft, come on. Point Facebook, we talked about this Facebook, launches, announces the launch of metaverse academies, that doesn't sound good. then there's also something about the White House, rolling out, a task force to curb online, abuse, and we know that that task force will nothing will come in the metaverse stuff that we We stop that we continue to ignore. Number four, the blowhard index in general, stocks, or I think stocks had their worst week for years. And now two thirds of CEOs, are expecting a recession. So that's let's go on, not just the US. I saw that the federal interest rates have risen and like over 40 countries in the past little while, so this is not just a US problem, but Yeah that's that's making some noises. Finally this one I got 28 seconds left. This is my favorite story, Maybe. ever, since I started this company because It's someone who's finally agreeing with me. Not I, you know, as Matt knows, I can't find people to agree with me about most things, not a shot, just impossible. But this is Bill Gates, said it exactly. The way I always said it and complained about. I love, I love complaining about this very this, very topic. But here's a very simple headline. Bill Gates says, people with high IQs should work for climate friendly companies. Don't just do derivatives on wall, thank you, Bill Gates, for speaking. My mind. Yeah, we do we need to figure out what kind of our talent into Enterprises that are actually solving things, okay? It's boring, otherwise making all your money and blah, blah. I'm getting bored. We're doing woke data at ESG research where everybody hates that everyone hates us. Yeah. No, they hate us now. Yeah, but we get Yeah, we get paid like like upscale Librarians. Um, story of the week. All your stories this week, man. Wow. Well, see this just look at the normalization of crazy has been going on since Trump was elected, so that one doesn't Okay. The January to highlight is, I need to highlight the commission's the commission. But then, you know, Elon Musk and it was just like nine on musk stories. Well, it's just every week and because he's the he's the poster child for the normalization of crazy and I we've we've said it here many times. The My worry is the he's become a blueprint for governance in the future like we're you know we're gonna allow more of these crazy. I ego maniacal, CEO. Founders to kind of be known to run the roost and we're going to normalize it by not. The SEC is trying. I suppose. Oh they're gonna roll that back after going to roll everything, the SEC just did back after the midterms, but I do think it's not an anti-woke movement that's happening. It's an anti-government movement because that encapsulates, both things, the anti-woke wars and the normalization of crazy. I mean, the conversations are literally like Mike Pence's letter about ESG was talked about how we need to stop ESG principles. So everybody forgot, there was a g in there. Do we want to stop governing? Do we want to stop? Well that because that's what Elon Musk is. He's the lack of governance, that's all he is look up. As, you know me, I'm a dinosaur from old is heck I even know who win Gretzky is, that's how old I am. I who Wayne Gretzky is. Did you see Dazed and Confused in? I've heard I've heard of Wayne Gretzky. But back in the day Ari has not. It was just like, nope. They finally figured out wait for anyone to care about it. Well, and that is to, to wrap it into the culture war. And then finally, they can report on it. What is the new socialism? Like man, I think his personality and the fact that they're going to be Elon like people for the rest of time like over headlines. Elon likes Elon likes, he owes. And, you know, whatever he is, I think that's a story of the week, even though it's been a story of multiple week. I what here's the question I guess to be to not be so cynical. Trump lost, he didn't was not reelected, which is somewhere in the United States. Um, maybe elon's Reckoning is coming, too. I mean, there are as our points out, there are a lot of things that sort of are coming against him so so maybe the market will kind of okay, I'm wrong, but but you never know. I mean maybe the Maybe that the natural progression of things will just get rid of him because it's just too many lawsuits. Too many, you know, too many people worry about the leadership though. I think like his following like the Fanboy trumps just like are just a different Is more. well connected probably well here, you know, it's just a different You're talking about. If you don't want to the second one, Microsoft settlement and separation agreements, no longer include confidentiality language to prohibits workers from disclosing alleged conduct. So, basically, something bad happens to you at work, you either leave or don't leave work. You can actually talk about, I think that's great. That's right direction number three, they're increasing Patriots. They're going to publicly, to disclose the outrageous salary, ranges ranges for all their up. Just the actual outrageous. Sell now that are they gonna do what I've always wanted, or they're going to have a scroll on, like a ticker monitors in the office, just showing everyone's, so in the company, Um, they don't want an internal Civil War, so that won't be happening. However, they do have pay audits every year and they've had it for several years, okay? To make sure that not one person's totally underpaid, and then the last thing Amazon joins, the other super big tech companies and now they're gonna have a civil rights audit Amazon, Microsoft human Microsoft. Yeah Amazon, yeah. But that is well Amazon, that's so woke. I, it hurts my woke. All right, stop it over there, you're clouding. Her stories by being sarcastic, they are going to stop it publicly published to findings the atem by a third party and out of the five, biggest tech companies. So Apple, Microsoft meta, Amazon and Google. Google is the only one that continues to fight against a civil rights audit even though 63% of shareholders Voted for and audit like that. Well 63% of non the non-controlling share. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, right. Because that's the problem is that they don't those independent sherald. Unfortunately, don't have any power. I do, which is why we which is why we yell about it, right? So because of the dual-class structure the 63% turns into 22% well. So it Yeah, anybody knows there. I think the largest companies Apple Microsoft meta, Amazon, Google, the the acronym would be Maga. Anybody notice that? Wow, don't tell me. Well, actually be mad. Well, if you turn Google to alphabet which is a real name is just know, it's right, eating your side, I go go. So I think that's great. Wow, when I was when I was headlined love this. I was like rabbis for abortion Google. There's a call. Did you read the article? Yeah. What about it? It's fantastic, reasoning. I think this is it. Oh, of course, religious freedom. Duh, this is totally it. But there's a group called rabbis for Repro or Repro, which is rabbis for Reproductive Rights. I think it's Repro because it's reproductive reproductive, right? Well, too close for to repo, like, like repossess. Why is that a Repo? Man, like a Repo, Man. They repossessing your house. My favorite movies in the early 80s. So, anyway, I love everything about this. go rabbis and it's incredible. I mean I I was like one of the I know we were on this early in the week was one of the first stories I've seen in a while that actually felt good about. Yeah, yeah, it's great. Number three, at least of the week. AFL CIO the country's largest Federation of labor unions elected. Liz Shuler as the first female president and Fred Redmond As her first African-American secretary. Oh yeah, double on, I gotta Wonder Liz. Shuler has been an Appetit for a year because the previous president died of a heart attack and he happened to be a man but she was actually elected to her first full term. So I think that's great, especially right now. We're unions are still enjoying this favorable positive movement around them. And I think by doing this in their leadership, they are just inviting the younger, like younger younger people to be about them so good. Wow. Well, it's a it's a good demonstration of our very strong patriarchy. Because as we pointed out many, many times all the Chiefs, the chiefs of human resources are women. So you would think to head of unions should be women too, right. I mean why not? Um, Damien. I think this is an easy one. This is easier than the last one. It's I mean, don't forget the list is good. You pour yourself a cup of coffee with shity fake, vanilla non-dairy creamer you put your patched up red backpack down on the floor, under your desk and you look around and you realize where the fuck is everybody? There's nobody here and it hits you that they're all working from home and you are unexceptional there in fuzzy pajamas, with Fox hair slippers, Drinking hand twirled Artisan, cold Brewing, their cats and maybe look for a walk and their local park and eat their Trader. Joe's. Panko, mac and cheese and no one's watching them all day. There are no shity salads. There's no stale conversation about the Celtics losing. Unfortunately, the NBA finals, which is terrible. And so that's not where we are going to be utilizing our resources, a man with a bachelor's in history and a law degree who served as a legal advisor to Navy. Seals blowing up, Iraqis is, of course, very qualified in science and medicine to have a feeling if medical need is appropriate. I get you don't want to be anti-woke, but try saying something. You know what they said that the US Chamber of Commerce has quote has been corrupted by woke thinking Chamber of Commerce gave 81% of its money to those people to the people who are complaining about it Activision. Just put out a letter about the investigation into the sexual harassment, they investigated themselves and unsurprisingly found no evidence of systemic harassment. It's hard to find September Grassman when you you investigate yourself. So what they did, and here's the nutshot in the letter they said, yeah, where is it? Quote, what we have come to realize over the past several months? Is that there are many truths about our company individual and Collective experiential and data-driven, and sometimes they can be difficult to reconcile for any individual, whoever experienced inappropriate workplace, conduct Best in Class policies and data showing progress, provide little comfort. You see what they did? There they named themselves Best in Class. And is part of their apology. I'm tired of being guests by your opinion as if it was fact. So that's number two. That's true, and they found that if the company did not include B shares in the vote, the Dual class shares that investors would have voted 65% against giving this CEO, a Founder share, which is a share that basically, effectively gives them control forever and his family, and his family. This is the greatest case of gas corporate gaslighting I think I've ever and a while it really was hard to read. First story goes, the week is Microsoft, the company trying to buy Activision Blizzard, so they're gonna set them straight. I I was literally gut punched by by that file and it was just, I don't know, really are reading my favorite filing of the week and I, we talked about this on slack and pre-production was, there's a filing add Activision from March 17th 2022. Go look this up. It just says, upload it doesn't say anything about the filing. It the filing title is upload the name of the document is upload that made me curious because I've never seen the SEC except the filing called upload. Usually, it's got to be tagged to something, but it was just upload. This one said, here's the whole letter.
