Live for my second garage is fourth. Living room's. Third bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms 8, walk-in closet. It's a magical Monday edition of business pants, though. It's music list, right? I don't hear any music. I'm fine. And things are not playing is the situation. Join is always. By Emma whooping, cough, lurking. And Matt Ray Ban sunglasses mascardi. There it is. I'm Peter Teal's. Doppelganger they found me. Is that something you want to be? I'm so excited. I'm back by the way. All right, welcome back. Yeah, Matt. And I know that anybody cares. I haven't been on a show together in how many weeks. Like three weeks. Are you still working here? CEO, Matt was braiding me about our depressed download numbers while he was gone. So I think he was insinuating a the I continuously suck at marketing this show and B that the only reason why people listen is because I'm at Mascari. So they come for me. That's why I'm here for sure. I like that. Every time the mat goes into the numbers with me, he always prefaces discussion with. Not that any not that. I know any of this means or if it's even accurate, I'm pretty sure none of its accurate. Yeah. All right. Keep listening. Anyway, people And today's wind swept swept bag of drizzly shape nuggets called June 27th 2022, sexy story updates and sleazy academic papers. No, we're not even changing our Monday. Like topics you just say it's a nerd alert. All right, it's a nerd alert. Yeah, it feels a little bit better. Let's do this. All right, let's do this. So we didn't spend a lot of time with it on a Friday because the news is just broke the Supreme Court sucks by. So we've had a chance, we've had two or three days to to gather the headlines. We have there's a lot to cover here on Roe versus Wade. The end of a portion rights abortion banned, why men shouldn't be in power or part 289, you ready? Yeah. God, sorry, Matt. I was like ended up pressed stupor for the end of my vacation. Yeah, I know. Look, here's what I did. I what I ended up doing is kind of compiling stories and batches like you'll see I start with corporate news that I move over to kind of like talk about some billionaires, some stakeholders blah blah. I have, you know, if you've subscribed to our newsletter, congratulations. Because you're, you're, you're the one, you're the, dude, you're the person. You're that, you're the one that person, but those, there'll be a lot more in the newsletter. But what I've done is, I have like 50 company responses but I've highlighted what I think, Are interesting tidbits just because I want to see if I can trigger Matt. Yeah, yeah, good. I like but you're usually triggered. I get like no, post vacation glow. I don't get like come back and like settle in and do some love light uplifting stuff. No, I get, literally, I'm gonna trigger you so that you rant for three hours about stuff. Good, let's do this. Let's make, here's your welcome back. All right. Let's start with Amazon where I want to remind you that one point three million people work for Amazon, which I think is roughly the population of the state I live in. So this is not incentive. Okay, Amazon publicly said it'll cover costs blah blah blah for employees seeking abortions but and in an internal message, Amazon HR, Chief Beth galetti, of course, a woman which is you see, is a trend in today's reporting. Oh, shocked it out. A lot of women to make these statements. A lot of the CEOs are kind of hiding behind the head of Human Resources. This is why you don't know what that have your head of hrb, a woman. This is why you just promote them to be seen CEO if they can figure stuff out better than you. She said that she asked employees to be respectful of everyone's perspective. That's a little bit unusual. We haven't, we haven't we don't see a lot of that today, we've actually seen a lot of indignation, a lot of Fury. A lot of anger. A lot of, you know, here, the proposals were gonna put out to help women but an Amazon, they're asking, I guess there's been some fighting on slack and they're asking people to both sought. They're both cider Rising this. What they're doing both sides is there two sides to women's health. Just what the other side, her own health. Other side? Yeah, I'm waiting for the other side. Explain to me the other side. A AT&T, this is, this one's for Emma. They came out with a quote, the health of our employees important blah, blah cover the cost of travel blah blah. But I'm going to remind people that there's a previous reporting on AT&T that they contributed. Some 1.2 million dollars to leaders backing abortion bans. I think this is the single largest amount for any public company. Although, before you two weigh in on this, I'm always torn about this because I know they just don't they they just spread out money kind of blindly to us all politicians right? Whoever's running. And since we don't really have actual data on this I know open Secrets gives us kind of a peek into it, we still don't really have the companies themselves haven't really told us what's going on. So I'm always unsure if I should be angry here. Well no the who like open Secrets will give you a lot of it won't give you dark money that it doesn't have access to but you'll get like it went to go but you don't know the why? Because a lot of the same people who are like anti-abortion and passing abortion bands and anti-women and anti brown people and basically anti it's like the politics of know we're just anti a lot of those. Same people are very Pro giving out subsidies and tax breaks because there are anti-tax. So the you don't know why, they're 18 T would give that money. um, Mostly is this a list though? I know why is 90% of this list, like we will cover travel? Is that what it is? Is that the big cut out the big corporate come out is? Well, let's talk about it. I mean, I don't highlight every company that says that and that typically is what most of these companies are bagging it backing. It's something about, like, trout, 100 miles away. We will cover blah blah. But I mean, look, I I am, I want to promote companies, good behavior by covering this, but I don't say that thinking that this should be how this is how we should handle health coverage, you know what I'm saying? Like, yeah, I'm proud to support them as a backup measure against horrible fail or state level policy, but I am uncomfortable as we talked about here, all the time with people like Mark Zuckerberg. I'm uncomfortable giving these entities incorporations. Even more power really, isn't that what's happening here? They're getting even more power over their over their stakeholders. We are in a situation where if you want, you know, because the vast number, if you actually look at the numbers and I have looked at some of them, my wife has to explain a lot of them to me because she's a doctor, the vast number of abortions that happen in the United States are usually because of medical complications and necessity. The vast minority of those are about Plan pregnancies and things like that. But the fact is you now have to go to your HR rep for any of them, if you live in any. Okay, as we've established and I got my growing database, I kind of chip away on chip away at every week because it doesn't exist anywhere else. I'm looking at you S&P. I'm looking at you Morningstar. Come on. Make that make that video available, thankfully, they're mostly women Matt so at least At least you're going to someone less scary I guess right? I don't know. Is that a consolation? Yes. Except when they have to approve budget it's not usually the women. It's true. Get to approve the budget. It's usually the CFO or the CEO, who's almost uniformly, male who has to say? Yeah, go ahead, spend that money for your health care. I'm still struggling, the big struggle I have is when do these companies, leave the state's? Like, if you have to keep paying for everything that a human being requires to be alive for them, to leave the place where they are to go to some other place to get it done. Why be in that place at all? Well, I brought this up, Friday, and Emma and Ari, made fun of me for bringing that up, but you're right. Like we are seeing in the anti-wolf backlash of companies leave in California for Texas, but you're right. When are they going to go the opposite direction and they in your doubly right? Because they can use money. That old-fashioned thing that everyone loves as the reason why right? This is this is ridiculous. Can we have to constantly battle all of the human rights you're taking away from our workers and it's costing us a lot of money. I mean it may not be costing them a lot of money and which is why they're willing to send them. But at some point like don't you stop and say. This isn't where like we have all these values that we've written out and you can go print them, you can go look at them, we mark it on them. We're all about diversity. We're all about all those things but we'll sell to anybody, right? Like, we don't care about values when it comes to making money and then you get to a place where those values that you say, you care about. But you don't actually care about you're now paying for so that your employees can access basic health. Like women's health, like I I would have to say at some point you say to yourself maybe we shouldn't sell to these places because Our value is have meaning, or are we just finding out that no one has anyone's values? Have any meaningful thing is confounding? Yeah. Well, what's worse? I mean, supporting political candidate who might have contributed to this or locating in a state that contributes to this, right? Like isn't being located in the state. Far worse. Isn't it far more financial country? Far bigger of a financial contribution to okay. Here's an open question to you. Yeah. Corporations. What exactly do you want? Like, what are you moving on? What do you want? Yeah. Yeah, and write to us, tell us, yeah, just tell it, we have a mailbox. See. Here's what Bank of America wants. I like this. They were talking about expanding the list of Medical Treatments that are eligible for travel expense reimbursement. This list will now include Blah, blah, organ transplant at centers of excellence. Oh. No, what is that? I don't want to go to a center of terrible Miss. Yes. So when you try to meet the guy like on the midnight, ferry to Staten Island who was willing to do it on underneath a broken like light like under, like in a dark corner. Yeah like that. I guess don't get your organs transport from that guy receipt to HR that's what they're saying. Here's a weird one Barstool Sports binder Dave Portnoy who we reported on so many times as being a misogynistic Pig. He's calling this pure Insanity. We're going backwards in time. There's nobody has a right to tell what even the misogynists are. Okay, that's good. I've had this morning and I am really glad that you used it, because I clicked on this headline so fast. I was like this cannot be the date point, we know, and quickly despised and no, it is even the misogynists are shockingly right there with us because Dave, Portnoy doesn't want to get a girl pregnant. Some girl, he probably sexually harassed and abused, by the way, he but he wants her to have an abortion. So look, important noise. Pro abortion in my mind, that's just for thought like that cynical. I just, that's all that allegations. I'm pretty sure he does. Probably true. BuzzFeed BuzzFeed, CEO Jonah Peretti said. The decision is so aggressive and horrific for women that it compels us to step up as a company. We were asking, remember a few like a month ago where are all the corporate CEO statements so they're I highlight this one just because This is, they're using some strong language here. I'll give them credit there. Yeah. And then they go on to say that we're going to fund their travel. What do you mean? Is that bad? That's no. But that's it, right? It compels us to step up as a company and send women somewhere else to get the care they need. Right? Like, that's what none of these companies are what, no one is really referencing here. Is what are the gonna be the mental health costs associated? I saw a headline about this is not really bad about that today. It's like, right? Because this is not purely a thing about body, like physical body. I mean, this is abortion goes, okay, I have a thought, I have a thought. What if there were to be like a tax or a fine for companies that send their employees to other states for Reproductive care? Like, if that's what Marco Rubio is? Already proposed in Florida. Oh wait, what do you mean like? There's An ant anti. Yeah. Basically, if people are sending their people and also vice versa, it'll, I can also Imagine States be like, you cannot just like use our resources that we have allowed in our country for or in our state, sorry for free. Here, Marco. Rubio proposed in Florida that you companies will not be allowed to write off travel expenses if they're for these, these issues and its effects. And I have sex And I have something later on that ammo about Texas, moving on, Comcast NBC Universal. This, this one stood out to me up to 4,000 dollars per trip three trips a year. Why is there the fact that they're putting a cap on it? Makes it seem so disingenuous. What's yeah. And what if you have a, what if you have a large? I mean I'm assuming that you know, family health coverage is part of what if you have like four wives in the 11th? You know, just saying, I'm just saying I don't want to wives really do Love and abortion, you. Someone was sitting down and they were like, how many abortions can you reasonably have any? Yeah, I wanted to know what the calculator? Like three. I don't like this. I don't like this, man. I don't just sitting down doing that. When they had come up with the numbers. I'm seeing a lot of up to 4,000 dollars. Uh, several companies, including Dick's Sporting Goods. Can someone explain to me like the 100 miles before that did a memo? Go out to every company being like that's what we're gonna do. Land on the same number in the same. I've been playing maybe that they're all using like the same Consultants who are giving them the same numbers and they've been planning this because they've known that this was coming for however long. I'm a year, probably? Right, because remember, we we've yelled at them for a month, like why are you so silent? So I guess they, I guess they landed on 4,000, bunch of high five and put out the pr announcement. Just so you know, DJ diesel is he said I know many of you are deeply upset and I stand with you he's always doing that kind of Coachella Vibe. Yeah and then he spun a record weird, how he didn't Google mention abortion at all in his statement. He just stands with the people who are upset about what I don't know what are people upset about? Oh you might have he might have been about. I don't want to rain on your parade. I like your I like your indignation moving on Google this is a good one. Actually this is this is a strong language from Google. Google Earth can also apply for relocation without justification. Oh, that's a big one. That's, that's a different. That's a big one. That's a big one. They had a different consultant when they came here. I like that. I like that. But still, I like that one. Indeed, anything that limits, the freedom of women to make their own decisions about their health hurts them in society. I mean, again, we're seeing some, some more feminist statements than we've ever seen. I like this one Jefferies Financial Group. The Banks two top leaders rich and Brian. That's right, rich. And Brian wanted to they wanted you to know. I mean, I'm gonna give them like the the award for the most like like awkward announcement. They wanted you to know that not only is it Jefferies group support, travel, blah, blah, blah, abortion, right? But they are in independently gonna donate a combined one million dollars to cause that champion women's rights. They had to add that in Yep. Good job, rich and Brian. Thank you, Richard. What else do I have here? Levi Strauss, also, stronger lift, a lift promised legal support for drivers. At risk of lawsuits, for driving passengers to abortion appointments. So that's something extra. That sounds like something they would have to do if they were their employees. Doesn't it? How about Cheryl, how about Sheryl Sandberg saying? We must keep up the fight which is interesting because the fight probably unfolded on her platform. The fight for misinformation that has diluted us all into getting. She's gonna know when situation no one situation because okay. Yeah, yeah, let's stay with Meta. Meta has maybe one of the other kind of Stories on this topic meta told its workers on Friday, not to discuss the Supreme Court's ruling. Oh yes. And look how swift they are. Emma, look how good they are at this message. Is that violated the policy in team chat were removed a software engineer said on our internal workplace platform, moderators swiftly, remove post or comment mentioning abortion. The respectful Communications policy that was put in place explicitly disallows it. So see how good they are at cleaning up this kind of hey all they had but was not good for the rest of the world, but yeah. But this is not okay, this is not the first time they've done this, right? They there was also there was something else know earlier in the same thing. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, they're really strong on this Emma. This is what they're really good at this one thing. Don't discuss abortion your human. Yeah uh yeah. Don't talk about being a woman. Not here. I'm not even I'm not a woman. I'm just like a woman either and entity in fact don't even look like a woman. Yeah. Yeah, we prefer, you were all keep it without genitalia and we're just like, Barbies know. I, I want you in like a everyone should wear a sumo suit to work so that no one knows who you are, what you look like for real. Okay, Cupid has are they releasing a pro-choice profile badge and helping singles. Weed out people, they will like classroom, please think about this, a pro-choice profile patch like that. I'm a little weren't people already doing it. I'm a little afraid of what, like, data mining issues. This might bring, oh, we get to that later. Yeah, unfortunately, as I am, the person who pulls these headlines. I am slightly ahead, but Patagonia will bail out. Employees arrested in abortion protests. Like that. Salesforce Salesforce like Google said that they would help relocate employees. Snap. Matt. Snap up to 10,000 dollars. Yeah. Make it rain. Start, the reason why I highlight is Starbucks is because we Howard Schultz the man that we very crassly called Holocaust blanket Schultz. He is talking about everything every day. You see him in the news, constantly talk about Starbucks. He shied away from this one. Handed it off to talent and partner experience. Vice president, Sarah Kelly. So she's making statements for Starbucks now. Howard Schultz, suddenly, quiet, just wanted to point that interesting. I want to point out in her quote, it says, it doesn't matter what you believe, it doesn't matter where you live. It's about access to healthcare. It leaves out, it matters whether you unionized or not, because we can't do this. If you're a part of a union, right? She doesn't say that part. I also disagree with that, he doesn't matter what you believe. I feel like this whole thing is about what you believe. So I'm confused by you, Sarah. And finally how about some wafflers you United Health Group saying that they respect and realized there are differing opinions on this important issue. We are reviewing the Court's opinion now and will communicate more information as soon as possible. They're reviewing the opinion. What why what are they looking? The individual precedence, that they're citing, they want to go one by one. Why Walmart? Research goes up, I'm wrong here. I'm but Walmart just really just saying nothing of course. Which is important because again, they they employ, I don't know how many they employ but it's gotta be close to what Amazon. Let's go to be in just under. Yeah, it's a 1.34 million. So this is important, we need Walmart to, to weigh in here. Okay. Ready to move on. You got enough of that. Are there so much more so much more. This there's really a lot I could talk about. Oh, how about this one in our stakeholders rule, how to grow? This is one of my big Tech HR expert said, companies need to be proactive in about about protections for contraception, privacy, lgbtq plus rights. But I, I highlighted this one because notice that how important HR experts are, I'm just saying, Yeah. Okay, there was something about billionaires, a lot of billionaires. Have a lot to say, I don't know why George Soros? He's, I guess he's a very clickbaity billionaire. Why does he always appear here, Matt? Why do people care what George? I don't know. But where is Larry Fink when you need him. I don't know. But what do you think about this Emma? This is according to the Wall Street Journal, the Susan Thompson, Buffett Foundation named after Buffett's late wife, which is about to get, they think about 70 billion dollars, right? Don't forget Warren Buffett has agreed to give away his fortune and according to tax filings, the bulk of the Buffett Foundation funds have gone to abortion and Reproductive Rights. This is make you feel differently about Warren Buffett. I'm a lurking. Know. Okay, I tried do you. Does. But what is the best portion of? Are we talking like all of Buffets money or just the money in that Foundation? What's the do we have a number? No, obviously, I'll get back to you on that. That's why this doesn't change my opinion. Probably he's a number. Here I hate to open up the magic that is business pants. I hope I hate to open up the window and look, have you look at the Special Sauce being made but technically speaking I can't, I can't get into Wall Street Journal. I try to read the article my the firewall beating so I don't even really know. So if anyone listens reads their Wall Street Journal, let me know what's going on. Somebody, send, daily login. abortion pills, taking The next thing we should be focusing on here. Is abortion pills, okay? All right, okay. Does anybody want to focus on them now? Yeah, I guess exhausted. Now let's let's focus on the day. This abortion pills will be in the news for a while. I'm not exactly sure which corporations make abortion pills but this is something I'm sure we'll be tracking in the days and weeks to come. This is my turn. Yeah, I'm getting there. Let's end on this one, for Emma, one for Matt. First for Matt. The anti-walk Texas Republicans are already planning bills that would bark corporations from doing business in Texas. If they pay for abortions in states with a procedure is legal, they've already sent a letter to lift that is saying that they seek to ban companies that pay abortions. So that's all the beginning in Texas. I love it because then all these companies can leave That's then now it's like we don't want you here. Okay, great. Well, let's leave. Let's go. They are don't be even though the opposite is happening right now. Like I think they're all flowing into Texas. Citadel is moving from Chicago to Miami. Yeah. Well you know what? Yeah, Chicago and Cal Silicon Valley are both. Kind of the drain is empty into Texas. There are a lot of Corporations leaving and both of them sort of do complain of the same because Chicago is a very, like, a liberal hotspot and the Midwest and of course, you know, California. We know about them. So, yeah, you're right there. The they're already finally down to the great. Awesome. And then Texas banned them from being there because they're too woke totally. And for you. Emma here, the data question there were talking about period tracking apps. There's already articles warning users that about data sharing that you should delete the app. If you're worried about this, there's another story about motherboard contacting. A slew of tech companies asking them if they will provide law enforcement with user data, of course? No, no. Those companies responded. But yeah, this, you're right. I mean, this is the next big thing is like, What's Big Data going to do about all the associated data they have about women's reproductive Health, right? Look, if we're going to turn the clock back to 1970. Oh, let's just turn it all the way back. Everyone has to throw their phones out. Get rid of your computer. I'm with that. You need to you. You have to drive cars that were made only up until 1972 like okay with that because they're not, they're not very fast. So they're less dangerous. Like, if we we really don't like progress, right? This is what this is what we're saying in this country. We hate progress, we hate progressives So, turn off the satellites. Get rid of your ear like your cars. Get rid of your smartphone, there's no social media. Just get the internet. Can go away. You can make phone calls. That pay phones that don't exist anymore. Let's just turn it all the way back. I'm sorry, women, you're losers. Black people, you lose gays, you lose the white heteronormative, you know, nuclear families, we're big winners in this. So just if we're going to do it, let's just do it all the way. Why are we doing it half ass? Let's turn it all the way back. I can't give up, please. I'll be devastated if I have to give those up. Sell them to the Russian oligarchs who need somewhere to store their money. Oh, that's a good idea. You're stumbling. On a genius marketing plan for metamask. They should be marketing, the metaverse, as? Yeah. As the pre the pretty pretty Progressive, right? Yeah, right, exactly. Like, it's like just a matter of verse you don't have to have a smartphone in the metaverse, right? I don't have to have any, any of the trappings of the monoculture, Texas metaverse ban, abortions in the metaverse. Wow. Like Matt we need to move on because I can't think about that for too long. Yeah. Okay. Well I hope the audience in Matt and Emma. Thank me because I'm also I'm avoiding, I'm not covering 60% of the information so it will of course the week. All right, come on. Nerd alert. Give me a give me a siren. Give me something I want to, I want to. Yeah, there we go. I'm back from vacation to a hellscape of news. Yeah, come on, it's the best one it's over rock. It is Hellscape of news in the US. And I'm going to bring this nerd alert and I'm just gonna jump right into it and then I we can save comments for after. Here's the paper, it's from 2018 and it's on the theme of. If you think it can't get worse for women, maybe it can. The paper is called explaining women's presence on corporate boards. The institutionalization of progressive, gender related policies as a paper by Yannick. Tom's of Suffolk University, Sawyer business, school, Barry, Bendel all? So Sophie you and Siri very bundled, you're gents Jurgensen of co-goodyear. Give you the the top level here. essentially what they did was correlate women's rights state by state in this country that includes Family Planning abortion rights family, leave anti-discrimination With the level of participation of women on boards, by The Firm headquarters, and what they found will shock zero, people companies headquarters in states with abortion access had more women on boards. Number one, right? Right companies headquarters and states with more emergency contraception, had more women on boards. Number two, Companies headquarters and states with policies. Banding gender discrimination had more women on boards and finally. Yeah, yeah, apparently it's not everywhere. Companies in red states are negatively correlated to women on boards. Okay. Yeah these are fairly obvious findings. But here's where I'm going to make it slightly unintuitive. I'm gonna make some lemonade. Oh, because Roe v Wade, overturned by sausage party wing of the Supreme Court with the added vote of the female version of an Uncle Tom, I guess. It might actually be a huge win. For women? Yes. Okay. Hear me out. It's horrifying and terrible. Yes, they're probably gonna come for the gays and everyone else who's not a white mountain next. And, yes, women will literally die as a result of really, literally But here's my theory. Yeah, this is what winning looks like. Because Alito had to literally quote actual witch Hunters from the 1600s to get here. He Kavanaugh had to throw out the idea of President. He actually just threw it out. He just started to like we, we can go back and re litigate like President, we don't care about it anymore. And probably because the boys are pushing back. Because here's some stats. Women have seen boards board slots go from 21.7% in 2017 to 29.8% in 2021. It seems incremental, but you're talking about almost a third of boards. Now are women in the US and when you get to large companies, that much closer to a half than a third. Women. And what was that number. Yeah. And just to add to that map. What was that? Number in the year 2000? I mean, oh, it was like single did. Well, it was like, like what you're talking about. Almost none. One in town, right? Women CEOs, globally, have gone up more than 60% in that same time. Now it goes from a low base to a like not high number to talk about progress women on average occupy a larger percentage of the c-suite than they ever did in history. Even if it's all HR in general counsel, you used to not be any, right? So now we're talking about some and you can't even reboot a Ghostbusters movie without replacing the all-male cast from the 80s and 90s with a more diverse cast, right? You can't and it's diversity in progress, even if incremental is everywhere, And the backlash against it is also everywhere. That means you're winning, they're litigating discrimination against conservative and white voices. Like they're the anti-woke movement, is basically the central Cog of the midterms and the politics of no are everywhere. They're just willing to lie and steal and do whatever it takes in order to stay in power, that is what progress looks like. And to boot, I mapped every single company in the United States publicly traded company. by headquarters and market cap to The states that have already banned or likely to ban abortion 66% of companies by market cap are headquartered in states with no abortion bands and no likely hood, that that will be banned in any way. Do we have? Do we have any way of mapping where the employees are actually? Like, I know that's headquarters, but do we have any way to go even deeper than that? So, we have where some ways, Like A banks, we know where branches are we know where, like, retail, some retail stores are but we don't have all that information. Why? Because companies don't actually have make it available. But the interesting part of this is The places where these rights will continue to exist. Are also the places where all the money is Progress looks terrible when you overturn Roe v Wade, and it feels terrible and it's going to literally be terrible for women. But it's also a galvanizing force and women have more power and money than they've ever had in history. Even if it's not, we're not talking about equal, we're talking about more than ever Maybe this is actually showing you how much power women have gained. Just women not just women a diverse cohort. Have gained and this is the natural reaction to gaining anything from entrenched power. I don't know if feels like it's basically white, dudes, and dudes, generally in these places saying, we're super uncomfortable with how powerful you're getting. And that means, yeah, I'm curious how Emma would react to this, but I'm actually in agreement with you. Matt, I think that the, that the reason Trump was a thing is a thing is the very thing that you're pointing out that they're seeing they're seeing the progress, be real, and they're desperate Lee holding on to let, let's hope to be the final decade of power. I think you're right, I think it does reflect a certain amount of winning from the, from the side of progress. That's my perspective as well. And I'm not saying it's great in any way, shape, or form. I'm just saying, it's a good sign. When you pissed off. The entrenched white male. Power because and not to make this purely a political exercise. But what Maggie refers to make America great again is to a Time in America, where everyone but white men shut the f up, right? That that's what they're referring to is a time where everyone was just quietly observing the people in power that that's what they miss really. And I will say this, the paper is great it's super interesting. And it it shows that there is a relationship between how States policies work and how the power structures at these corporations. There are some levels that they're intertwined. It's super interesting and it's a piece of a broader you know, discussion paper set of papers.
