Live. No I'm not in my studio so I'm not in my room live from room 7:08 at the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque New Mexico it's a big old fat boring edition of business pants, Friday featuring the goodly data Queen, the irritating ml lurking, the asshole, Atmos guardi. Oh I'm the king of the dipshits. Yeah. Wow. That's an aggro opening for you. Must you think highly of yourself? Oh well just it's just a phrase. It's just a thing. It's from its from The Breakfast Club. Know, I don't know. Positive points for Ari already. Anyone have anything they want to complain about before we get going. I want. I want to grade your story of the week. That's how I want to start. When a grade them. Yeah you want to grade it. I well we pick a story and I'm going to grade your choices. I got to say in a lot of ways. Mike category is the hardest because you guys just leaning into emotion and it's just like it's easy to just be triggered by something. The emotions are terrible this week for my category. Well, yours are always a bit difficult for you. I get it. Maybe we should switch around. Maybe we should do like a wheel of Shame. Oh, we should go Spinning Wheel. It's just shame. Excellent. Emma. You you had a very clear thought of what that meant. I was just using words and you actually have a wheel of shame in your head. Yeah, I did. All right, let's do this. Story of the week. You're getting time to. I don't even think I need something. Elon Musk. Sorry, I gotta go. I'm staying with Elon. Musk reportedly had twins. With a neuralink executive. And I'm reminding. You are that a you look like the actually that you look like the executive? That's not, that's not the point. I remember running, you already that he founded in controls and it runs neuralink. So this is a massive HR. Issue, I would say that's your professional assessment. I'm telling you are just so, you know. That normally this would be considered such utterly. Deviant outlier, CEO behavior that it would cause a stir in this world in this. In this P. 500 world. Sorry. And what happened? Russell, 3000. World did it. No one seems to care. I don't know. He gets a pass and what else is going on with Elon Musk, Tesla, is being sued by 15 black employees. Using it Rachel discrimination that they've stopped the assembly line and a struggling Berlin plant for two weeks of a production problem. I'm just saying like stuff keeps going wrong, Anyway. I picked this because I want this one first because I, I asked the question, why, why did I pick this one? Because I want people to know who your leaders are. Who are your leaders who are the leaders, who are the leaders? Is Elon Musk. So he's the leader of seven companies is that make him the leader of seven companies. You know, what else happened in leader, world this week. I'll tell you a UK prime minister. Boris Johnson is stepping down, although he's, he's doing kind of a bob Iger where He's resigning. But he wants to stay until they find his successor in the future. He's announcing his future. That's a bob Iger. He also mic drop your own party. So if you're, if you're a white bald, man, you might be in luck, you might be the next prime minister Rory. Whatever they call themselves the UK. You some other stuff happening, a leader, world he resigns. But, yeah, somebody else some other stuffy person from his party's gonna take over. So whatever we do know of three magistrates who are bald, who really do not like being called bald as a. Yeah because it's a sexual harassment issue. They could be in line for the for the role know. Yeah you can accuse me that Here's what else is going on leader world. The former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abbey he was assassinated yesterday. That's seems. Yeah crazy crazy assassinated. Why though is this headlines, is this headline poorly phrases? It dies after being shot. I don't like the way that. That's not. So I got the notification, I only read the headline which is like oh straight bullet not like on purpose bullet. Know, the crazy part of Japan has like, no, yes, you can't get guns. So the dude, made his own gun. Wow, damn you. Yeah, I was like committed to the cause and he didn't move. He literally stopped smiling stood there. He shoots assessment abhay, assassinates him, and then put the gun on the ground and just stood there and waited to get arrested. And then when asked by police, he was like, I was, I was a very disappointed by Ave, like how polite. Is that? What are just? Yeah, it was, it was like the most part you. Know, you don't get this, you don't get to be called play after you kill. That's tough. That's you do. In the last one, the last one, a leader world. This kind of bridges are all of our stories together here in the business pants World. Donald Trump removed himself in his son, Don Junior from the board of his social media company right before the federal classic so classically done. Well, done. No One's Gonna notice. Yeah, so this is go ahead. Well because they it's just like terrible Optics narcissistic governance. Well because he didn't want to be. Yeah I mean he didn't want to be running a company that's about to be indicted and about to be investigated and yeah it doesn't make any sense Elon Musk. Like they're not gonna look, you know, the page right before that. It's like oh wait, look these two people. It's the feds show up and they're like, what's happening right now? That's all we can. That's all we can handle. Oh, there's no one here. Oh, okay. Then nothing's happening, this is dated yesterday for mention it. Yeah. I mentioned it because both Trump and musk had this. There's a similar Behavior pattern where it's just they get away with just the craziest stuff. Anyway, that's the first one first category which is know about your leader. Second one is, don't forget about your stakeholders and the headline is new Amazon policy on Warehouse access could kill Union organizing. So there's as Emma gonna test you, there's Especially compared to the past. There are a lot of activity in this, in this category, right? Like organizing unions fighting you. I don't know. Just keep your. I just Don't forget about stakeholders, right? Matt, don't forget about that. Just fell asleep while you're talking. What number three is, this one's called disclosure data is power. Uber A received 3,824, sexual assault reports in 2019-2020. A drop of 38% from the previous. Two years, of course, this headline by a moron because Uber basically did an operate during the pandemic so this no really. Yeah. So this drawback, actually, this draw this is a very misleading drop when I hope Uber's not selling it this way. But the reason why I included this is, I just wanted to remind everyone that I don't, I'm giving them credit. For disclosing it, I mean, this data is important. I mean, so it allows our business. Here's allow us to say that it only dropped 38% when they didn't operate for six months. Is actually really shitty, but we couldn't say that without the data. So number four, Google says, it will delete location history data of users visiting abortion clinic why didn't include this one. Because as the government fails, you just want, you need to be reminded that corporations are becoming your overlords. So, You know, the stuff's important. We got a we got a we got to keep track of this, I mean your laughing at the week, because yeah, there was the 56% of Americans. Approve of Corporations. Funding out of state abortion. Yeah. And and it's like crazy. Thanks. What we're happy that. What what are you doing about? Getting abortion? Access is we're okay with abortion access why? We letting the corporations do it? And finally, this one's for Emma. According to this article, I'm a Netflix binge model streaming Wars, or squeezing out comedy series, The comedies dying. Yeah, why I don't think that call is dying. I disagree with this. Take what I thought you were going to say which I was more excited about, is that I saw an article that said that Netflix is now not the strong front runner and the streaming Wars anymore. Why don't I care about that? I don't care. I'm excited about that. Because Netflix, why I'm a big knot like, I like Netflix stuff. I'm also mad at Netflix right now because the stranger things. Last episode is two and a half hours. And hours. She's mad about more more. I did, I shouldn't have opened up. I shouldn't have opened up Emma up this way. All, I really meant to say is that they're probably going to cancel us soon, okay. Because we're trying to be probably, they're gonna know, they're not canceling. People who try to be funny and fail. They're canceling actual funds, actual funny, okay? So those are my Those are my four stories. Go ahead. I'm gonna I'm not sure. I like any of them. Story of the week. I think is the is the first one isn't it? It's I mean first of all oddly sadly I mean yeah this weekend. What's the first one? Oh Elon Musk and his twins with an executive which is just a weird mix of, all right. Personal life. But also, this is somebody who reported to you. So, Oh god. Oh and also the weird tweets that came along with it about three. And that was like weird and also patriarchal of him to be like we just all need to have big family. It's like I'm sorry. Who's taking care of those family families? Elon. Is it you? I don't think so. is that his hope to just go around making children and having what appear? Yes, actually is doing like his part. He's like the Genghis Khan of electricity. China is facing a shrinking population, maybe they can. Thank God, has heard about China, but well, we need less human. He just heard now. But I think the theme Here is know your leaders because the big news of the week was Boris Johnson resigned fake resigns future resigns pledges to resign Shinzo Abe gets assassinated. That was last night. I do think that the Trump Don Jr. Move off that board. Is a big deal, like they know. I mean Trump's about to get indicted for all sorts of things and this is another one is a purely, a Ponzi scheme, that truth social, and then musk fathering as many children as he can. I do think it's like a, I think that's the story of the week that overall know your leader. Is a good. That's a good. That's the only thing don't be And don't be confused by charm. Don't let charm get in the way of realizing when there's bad stuff going on. What you got a boat here which of these people even Charming. Well Charming doesn't have to be this is it doesn't have to be a positive connotation With It Right charm Works in all kinds of ways. I mean donor Charming Oh yeah. I'm sorry, but like him or not already. Donald Trump has Charmed to a lot of people. Yeah. And so does Elon Musk. My vote is Right, unfortunately, the musk story with the addition of the fact that his current children are gonna go on Twitter and look at their father, basically saying to the world that he's only having children to increase the population and be like, great and excellent reason to want a child. Thank you. Yeah. But that's that's, that's really reason. Number one million. I just thought that pointed out for for needing therapy. I mean, yeah. That basically are you agree Clean Sweep? Yeah, I do agree. Know Your Leader. Okay, moving on. Know Your Leader story of the week. This God, that's really is a pack category. When you consider Boris, Johnson something down a former Premiere assassinated and secret twins. Like that's a lot. Like, that's no really. But that's pretty incredible. So, I applaud all the last two days. Right? I know, right. You should know. I think he needed. I think we just discussed this off. Are we were talking about how this Elon musk's? Can set of twins, but I also I feel the need to update you that not only is this his second set of twins. He also has triplets. So yeah, there's that. Well but that okay. But I I'm gonna just say that's not the part of the it's not why I included it. I don't I just want to point a lot to have. Okay, important to me to do a lot to have it. I just don't I don't understand why people are Focus. I mean I like that you're focusing on it because I'm gonna pretend to like you, right? But in general That's not the focus here to do. Could have 800 kids. I'm just saying like he impregnated His. A top executive at the company that he is in control of and see like, that's it's not excellent. That's, that's not typically kosher not Cleo, okay, typically kosher and not excellent are understatements. I mean, it's a major problem and it circles all the way back to Tesla. And it seems like, like, there's just so many fires even put in the fact that the Twitter deal is probably gonna die. Yeah, well, yeah, I didn't I didn't because I didn't want to talk about Twitter but but it also goes back to me that that for our company like Tesla, where he doesn't have the controlling vote, his directors seem to have absolutely no power over him, the rest of the board, which includes his brother. They don't seem to they don't seem to do a thing about this guy. He's got all the influence. We have the numbers to prove how much influence. Okay, he's the most influential leader, it's true, the world. According to our it shows you that shows you how important that influence is. No. But he's not our re but he's not, that's the thing, I know what you're saying, but he's not Mark Zuckerberg, he doesn't control the vote. There are there are like 10 other directors who could do something about this. I'm just hear you though, right? Like, this is why you need us. Because we can actually prove that he is the the singular voice on that board, but he doesn't have to be. I'm saying like, he so more. Cultivated I think to editorialize your category here. If you remove Shinzo Abe, you just have a bunch of liars. Well, someone already did remove. But I mean, from the headlines of your category, you basically have Liars or when I mean like Elon Musk. All he does is tweet a half truths and say things Donald Junior and Trump and their true social it was a Ponzi scheme and Boris Johnson is like in a valdia just says whatever, they're just liars flower. The to the jerk who assassinated Abe probably would say. The same thing probably been misled by obey in some ways made him. Anyway, let's move on to many make us happy Ari. Well come on Ari the data, Queen Goodluck boys. Been a weird week everybody. I don't know if it was any better than the week before. But here we go. Number one, Brett Kavanaugh was forced out of a DC restaurant by protesters amid anger at the Supreme Court, overturning Roe versus Wade. Now. This lady kicked out this it me happy, you know. Do you know what kind of restaurant it was a steakhouse? What kind of restaurant is the steakhouse and the steakhouse itself put out A press release and it said politics regardless of your side or views should not trample the freedom up play of the right to congregate. Can you really talking about what's their not Morton's? Maybe more. Oh yeah, that one. Oh, But can you believe they're talking about trampling freedom? and there were even in the steakhouse, they were outside protesting, like they can Anyway, that's allowed. Yeah, I would I would point out the fact that it was a steakhouse is important. Do you know that it's common practice to castrate bulls that a lot of livestock. So maybe they were just trying to reinforce as part of the protest that if you're going to take away, Women's Healthcare REITs, you should just castrate men. Also, like, maybe that maybe it's like some sort of and that exactly why I picked this one. I Brett, Kavanaugh never gets to eat at another restaurant. He like ever again. Okay, next one. That is my hope, and I'm not afraid to say it out loud. Me, either, this, from my very cursory research, the owner of Morton's Steakhouse is also the owner of Houston Rockets. Oh no, I didn't know that Tilman Fertitta are you sure that the right? Yeah, I mean yeah according to yeah I think you're right. Number two. Make line of the future. Automated Pizza technology, expands two more college campuses. I know what you're thinking. How the heck is this? Good pizza technology. I like this. This sounds good. Finally changes picnic know, this sounds very promising, picnic is the name of the company that makes up Picnic Pizza Station and it automates Pizza prep They claim that their food Prep Station, assembles your pizzas with precision and speed delivering a consistent product every time. Now, they've had just reading two successful pilot programs at two large college campuses. If they've announced that they're going to expand the college, the schools, allegedly decided to do this to cut costs of Salary and food costs. However, The pizza itself. It says that they can put out 100 pizzas in an hour with one human operator. Which is previously typically you need to three humans for that kind of output. Wait what? Oh you mean the automated Pizza does not three people. Okay. The machine plus one person does as much as three people. Oh yeah. So the total salary savings for this particular College was 35,000 dollars. Which I thought was waiting, sorry. I was making fun of this part. I was making fun of this part, but they also say included, the story also say that they can cut down food waste by 80% just because of the Precision, okay? And when they did a blind taste test, it received 83% approval. Which is 10.5 kids, which is 10 points higher than the human meat, pizza. However really, I, I don't know if the humans that were making, this pizza were picnics secret agents, trying to sabotage the human being pizza, or Randall, college or rainbow college student, who never done a pizza before, or just your standard College pizza, but the robot Pizza one. Yeah, I need to see the other Pizza. It was compared to I need to see these people too these. These these humans. Yeah. How to discussing? Whoa. Yeah. Okay. Number two, that was an automated Pizza. What else? That's expanding everywhere. Number three. Apple. Our favorite. Yay! Yay! Emma's gonna pick it. They are launching lockdown mode which isn't locked up and extreme Optional protection against a mercenary spyware. Now, this type of cyber threat is one of the hardest to prevent and fight because it affects such as small percentage of people around the world. But who do you think it's getting targeted, right? Like, its diplomats politicians. Sure. But also, journalists or leaders of certain movements that are speaking out against the government corporation, or anyone trying to take on a powerful person or institution Guardian, right? Exactly When I was reading this article, it didn't even mention this person but Ronan Farrow. He reported that the Israeli spy firm that Harvey Weinstein hired to track him during his investigation of sexual assaults hacked into his phone. So, Not everybody needs this but the people that do need it will have the option to have it. Now Apple became the first company to make this available for their users, which is really important because that's Apple saying. Hey, we do know that some of you are vulnerable to this threat. Some of you have already been victims of cyber attacks. We didn't have any options for you before either because we were lazy bums or we just hope they're. We're so few of you that no one else really noticed but now we have this thing. So knock yourself out. Do we know why? Yeah, do they say, why? Like why now like why nothing about why now? But just the acknowledgment, okay, I thought was good and like I said, there were the first. So I would expect Google to go next and then the rest. And the reason why you wouldn't just want to turn on this feature. Regardless like, if you want to or not, is because it limits certain functionalities to impact your user experience, which is another important point. That in the world of privacy and security, they're always straight offs. You want to Super secure thing. Well, you can't have the speed that you're used to the link. Previews that you like to see when somebody texts you, the link. They're not gonna be there anymore. People can't face time. You you have to face time lump in like we're so used to saying, It's gonna say, why doesn't Apple come out with a product called? Use your landline and a notebook. I mean, you can still It's just a little different, right? But we're just so. You super pretty super fast that we give up all this stuff in order to have that anyway. Okay, that's anything else. I I have an additional good list of the week that I talked on at the body, is this Emma? Is this allowed Emma? I'm feeling confused about. The protocol here. Look are you okay rule all rules go to Emma? Yeah I I allow it. Okay. Are you I had to add this because I saw that it wasn't there anywhere in our pre-production. The headline. Is there a noose ex-president balwani found guilty of fraud of Sunny? Sunny ball one. He was found guilty. Here's the key point. By one he was found to have defrauded investors and patience Elizabeth Holmes, right? But she was only found guilty of defrauding investors. They did not find her guilty of the patients, okay? A win for maybe it's a win for women. It is a win for stakeholders. A man was held more accountable than a woman. Okay. Shoes. You're also she's a white lady. Yeah. How should I held accountable? She was a CEO look, I'm gonna take the wins. We get. Martha Stewart was thrown in jail for making 4,000 dollars and The Insider trade every day on Wall Street. Like it's like that's the business model. Yeah, I just think we take the wins. We get this the patients were found to be defrauded in this case. He's only gonna get like the same jail time and she might actually end up with more jail time, but the fact is okay. You know, I do have a question, we're about to hear your voice a lot, man. None of you can probably answer which is he was found of defrauding the patients as well. Now can the patients that were trying to sue her before try to sue her like a peel and try to sue her again and use this this conviction as this is the criminal one criminal civil case. The civil case you can sue everything right OJ? Like he lost a lot of money in the civil case that this is. You know, if you were found, no court can you Try again at a higher Criminal Court. Like I like this. She's asking us, I'll check with no once you're out there. Let us know. Check with your check with your friends. Oh there you can't be tried twice for the same time. Okay, let's go. Come on. People stick to it. Come on. And you won. Emma you go. I'm I'm going Brett. It just made me the happiest. So I'm going Brett too. I don't I don't care. Go ahead. Yeah, it just the image of him getting booted from a restaurant that he wanted to be eating at. Because people hate him that much with correctly. They hate him that much. Just brings me a little bit of joy in this bleach, sleep. A little bit. So doesn't make anything right. Just a little bit. Yep. All right, I'm gonna tell you are automated Pizza. I'm not just sounds like anti-italian on it. Also I'm almost a little bit embarrassed for you are that you hate Italian people that much because what is a real joy in real Italian human beings making pizza. Like it literally brings like an Italian was making pizza at the literals of college campus, right? Literally brings me joy. I feel a little bit shame for you and apple launched a lockdown. What, what, what are you talking about? What is lockdown mode? Are you sending on your phone? That was Sandra Bullock. So, I'm going absolutely, absolutely right. There's nothing better than Brett, Kavanaugh being sad. Even for five minutes or two. Whatever, anything that Disturbed him, she were totally wrong. I've already lost because you win when the vote, but the fact is, it's not Brett Kavanaugh's. The Brett Kavanaugh's on the Supreme, Court, it's Mitch McConnell's fault everywhere. Mitch McConnell goes should be a protest. He should literally be followed. Oh sure. When he walks from his house to his car somewhere with the sign saying you stole our country, you right? I mean, but then I have gets out there and it's like defensive tackle, you know? Yeah, well, I think that he's the, he it's not Brett Kavanaugh's fault that Brett. Kavanaugh is there. It's somebody else's. Sure. Brett, Kavanaugh the way he voted. Sure. But then, where's the, are we doing that? Same old leader, and Amy Comey Barrett? And what about staking out? Every Saturday? You are perfectly missing the point building. So the week, Matt, what's your vote was goddess? Was stolen the goodies of the week is Apples locked down mode. That's the good list of the week. Why? Tell me why? Because I have been option. This option isn't designed, it's designed for a small number of people who get super hacked. Like we'll get focused, but anybody can use it. Meaning I can turn it on and my phone and no one can bother me. I love that. I think people more people are going to end up using it, then our targets of hacking simply because they value their airplane mode or something. Okay, I'll find you. You. Okay, the winner is the week. Brett Kavanaugh getting yellow. ah, speaking of Brett, Kavanaugh up next as holy of the week, see how I made him the asshole. Not you mad. I was just break Kavanaugh. Go ahead this week. What you got right there and you better have Stuart Kirkland, three options. First option is HSBC, oh, you do have a good, thank you HSBC. Here's that line, it's just BC Bank, exactly now, play climate change, quits blames cancel culture, I love I could have made Stuart Kirk the asshole of the week but I actually think Stuart Kirk was hired to be the head of responsible investing now. Again responsible investing he was hired by HSBC. Rather than like us sitting and putting our heads in the sand and pretending it just be see like what was blameless here HSBC went and vetted. You can't do a speech that he did without it getting vetted by 16 layers of legal and your marketing team and everybody seen it, it was totally vetted. You have to be sure that's how the speech and not just said shrill, like they said all the stuff right? Like in order, it had to get vetted and unless he went totally Rogue and did it the night before and then showed up and made his own speech, Just possible. But then they would have fired him immediately. And they what they would have said is no one at HSBC. Vetted this he went rogue right? But know what did they do? They waited a week and then they suspend him and then he it's like this forced resignation HSBC. If you think we don't know that, this is your real position and that your current position of No no climate matters a lot and like you know we've always cared about the destruction of the world. That's the real position. You're fucking asshole. Are you kidding me? I spent 10 years in meetings with people telling me that we we were full of shit at msci for caring about this stuff and now like we're canceling, we're forced resigning Stuart Kirk so that he can quote go make the what did he say? The greatest, he's gonna go make the greatest climate change, ability in ability products in the world. No h. Is he said, oh good for you. That's what he said he's gonna do, but I'm excited to say, don't be a fucking asshole here. Just cop to the fact that this is what you believed, and feel free to Pivot and say we were wrong. Instead of waiting this guy, a martyr for the anti-woke because he spoke, what is your internal truth? And then he was should be clear here. So to be clear here for those keeping score at home, it's not Stuart Kirk who's the asshole that we get to HS know? And I want to be clear too because we talked a lot about Stuart Kirk. I loved that. He said it when he said it I loved like because it was some stuff that we heard. I don't agree with anything he said but I love that he said it. Like I think it was great like I'm on that train of, that's great. I'm glad he said it and now I'm on the train of HSBC. You're fucking assholes my second option. I hear you ready? Yeah. Number two, yeah pausing. We haven't done pausing before. Well, we have a reason to do it again. Okay? Headline is match group, suspends some political donations, after abortion ruling. first of all, suspends Paul's and didn't stop it. They didn't cancel it. They suspended it. And then some Some political donations, what match group did? Was they stopped political donations to both Republican and Democrat Governors. Associations, as a result of the Roe v Wade ruling after. Their CEO has said that the anti-abortion laws are quote, regressive, that they started a fund for out of state access that they added approach Choice badge on Tinder so that you could tell who is pro-choice and who wasn't. And now they want the appearance of like we look, we're taking a stand but they don't want to wake the anti-woke monster in the geop, right? So they're stopping both Republican and Democratic donations. This isn't this basically, the foundation of greenwashing because turns out that match spent $127,000 dollars last year, on the campaigns of anti-abortion Congress. People, they donated money directly to them. And now they're not going to donate money to either party suggests that you're just fucking asshole. It's it's all it's, it's it's for your stakeholder show. So your employees aren't upset so that their users aren't upset worth mentioning. Also, that match is basically, they're an independent company with four of their like nine board members coming from IAC, who was their previous owner which is a Barry Diller run org. So this is like a massive media Corporation. Can I tell you this, too about magical? It's always irritated me. First of all, their, their, their base in Dallas, Texas, which I think is, I think hinting at what you're talking about. Matt right there. Yeah, that's playing a game. Yeah, it's a game. Second of all, they run like a dating app Empire. And there's like, there's basically 12 CEOs that help run this Empire, only two of them. Are women. A dating app Empire run by men. That I'm sorry. But That's why Bumble exists. But in what solar system does not make sense. But seriously, no, but, I mean, okay, Bumble, sure. But anyway, okay, I'm gonna shut up. That's my second and my third asshole of the week. Is, I went weird and this just struck me weird. Sure. Go ahead. I like the term, quote hard pants. Here's the headline hard. Yeah, here's the headline. The headline is and this is a quote, pull out your hard pants. Remote jobs are declining for the first time since the pandemic started. That's a headline at a Fortune Magazine. Like thank God. We someone grabbed this hard pants. I kind of like this. I like hard pants Fortune. You missed the opportunity to advertise this podcast. They're not hard pants. Their business pants you asshole, right? Maybe maybe we screwed up. Yeah, you don't pull out your heart pants. Everything about this is you you're an asshole. You just ruined closets. I know you like live in a. There it is. My closet. Those are the three assholes. Thank you, pausing and hard pants. Anyone have anyone want to get? Go, are you looking here? Rid of pausing because it's just shut up. Like, why take a take a stance? Is what? Yeah, that's pretty solidly. Pissed me off. I'm going with pausing as well. You know, it's if it's easy to donate to every politician, right? To Curry favor. It's just as easy to not exactly it easier, arguably. And pausing is always like this we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna not do it now while you're paying attention exactly six months. Yeah. Well, do it again because you know they were highly criticized after saying all this stuff will support you during your portion will give you money first stuff and they're like, wait a minute look where you've spent all this money. Well, my vote doesn't matter here. I gotta tell you. I actually like the term hard. So I don't know if I agree with you that it's the one of the assholes of the week, I'm just impressed, but I just want them to advertise for free for us. I I actually I appreciate your reporting on HSBC. You're right. The HSBC does deserve the spotlight here, although I feel sad that you you didn't dig in more to make fun of Stuart Kirk even more, although I'm sure a lot of other media Outlets are doing it. ESG media Outlets, are there any? There's like they're probably doing that already. There's like a millionaire But I'm gonna vote for pausing, as well. Before a different reason. I just hate, I probably just hated match. Cryptology made me feel uncomfortable. I'm not articulating this well, but I'm sorry, but That it's run primarily by men. Just as always made me feel creepy, I think it's it's terrible. I I there's already enough stories about the the perspective of what it's like being a woman dealing with these dating apps. So the fact that they're that they're literally controlled by men, it just makes me feel very Ryan Reynolds on the board. Of is he? That's right. We don't talk about that. I'm glad you mentioned that because we need to make a short list of like our favorite celebrity. We just talked about the trumps and elon's brother a lot. Yeah, we thank you. Put that on a shortest. So he's a, he's a director on Match group. He's a very sexy. I'm confused about what I should do here. I don't think that's current news, not on the website. Whoa. Oh, is he gone? He might be gone. Okay, so then then, why don't we not talk about that causing his asshole the week? Speaking of the great ml lurking? It's Emma Larkin. Irritating is the week. Come on. Hey, it's my turn. Let's go. Number one, we have. I'm doing a little bit more matte style this week. We're starting with Jewel and I have multiple headlines. So over the last two weeks, I have been. As I do every week, I pull headlines a bajillion headlines, and this is the timeline that I followed. So, these are the headlines. I've seen about Jewel, one, this isn't chronological order, 1 joules. Vaping products are ordered off the market in the US Wow. Yay Jewels are bad for your health and bad for your soul and good job FTA. I guess at this point we should go exactly that. We should have been no section two weeks ago. Number two, Jewel asks court for temporary block on, fda's band of its East cigarettes. Okay? Of course, they're going to do that stupid Jewels going to use, whatever legal tricks they have to keep selling deathly chemicals to Children. Excellent. But you know, I'm not deterred yet number three, Jewel continues selling vaping products after FDA stays banned. Like shit. I mostly irritated because they strung me along. I thought that something maybe good was going to come out of his butt know. Now I'm just irritated and I wish this are this story could have gone to Ari but it can't it stuck in my stupid segment. So, that's number one. Number two. We have row silencers, I have Rose silence, or this is sort of what Matt talked about. It's like a alternate. So I have three headlines here. One Universal Music employee says, they were fired. After emailing colleague's the day. Roe v, Wade, was overturned to criticize the companies donation to anti-abortion, lawmakers. Wow. Yep. And then Instagram increased moderation of abortion content. After Roe was overturned, and then meta clamps down on internal discussion of Wade's overturning. This is Zachary, say, I want to briefly interrupt Zuckerberg is super creepy. Can I add that to the record? Yeah. No, let's not forget when you say meta, you say, Instagram, you talking about Mark Zuckerberg. Absolutely. Why is he always in the super creepy camp with her? He I could not possibly answer that question like we, because he started out or not list, right? Well, yeah, it might be right, but that's why, because actually doing it and saying, and I want you to pay attention to what zoc actually does and says, because it's alright. Anyway, so, this is all very depressing but where I think that the irritation Factor comes in, is the Free Speech portion of this, all of these, like major companies, the social media ones in particular, you know we hear about the Facebook Supreme Court and all of like the ridiculous shit that it does and it's all built on this tenant of free speech, Free Speech, my ass. I don't want to hear them. Say Free Speech anymore, it is bullshit. I just I'm done with it. I can't even talk about it anymore. We have to move on to the third. One. Number three. Oh, you have four more minutes, though. I could I could, but we're gonna move on number three. Dallas Cowboys faced backlash after partnership, with gun themed coffee brand. So, the day the day, after the Highland Park shooting the Dallas Cowboys announced a partnership with Black Rifle coffee. Their coffee, Blends include the following AK-47, espresso silence or smooth, and murdered out. Take a murdered out is the name of one of their coffee Blends. Yep. Take a wild guess as to which NFL team donated 400,000 dollars to the victims of the Uvalde shooting. Anyone anyone? Yeah, it's Jerry Jones's ass. It was the Dallas Cowboys. Who did that? Which happened about a month ago. Now, this is a confusing story. I again, what else can you expect from Jerry Jones, but did not have public competent publicists. Oh, is it because they were in holiday? Is it because it's a holiday? No one think. They said, but this is the Persona he wants to put out, all right? I think this is, this is why I'm glad you're grabbing this one too, because This is what the NFL is, right? Like like I mean all of our reporting on all these objects is it it's like a it's just keeps repeating itself, right? Yes, the Same oldie, on my same old Mark Zuckerberg, same old and NFL, yeah, so dumb, I don't understand. It's just bad Optics. They said that this partnership has been in the works and that this was planned for Fourth of July weekend to be released blah blah blah, blah, blah. Post just don't have to be posted, that's just the reality of the situation. It's like, are you Landing it? Cancel it right. All right, that's all I got. Let's hear it. What do you think? Well can I before we get the vote going, I will tell you from the match group proxy statement, Ryan Reynolds. An incumbent board director, whose current term expires. At the annual meeting has not been nominated for real. Oh. That sounds like a little bit of a mini Scandal. Maybe Ryan didn't. Maybe he, unlike a lot of directors recently, he wasn't well prepared. He didn't he didn't, he playful call wasn't on time, maybe. Was not there and was like everybody so creepy. I'm out. Yeah, you need to come on the show Ryan, he didn't resign right. You need to we need a real accounting of what happens on the on the on the match board on all board because if anybody can give it now, Ryan Reynolds probably showed up and was like, What is happening? What is this place? And I want to know exactly how crazy they were me too. All right, vote in time. You were telling us the week, we have jewels on Jersey Dallas, look at the name of that, that just really gets me, you know, I get, oh God. I just don't understand why we need a coffee. Name a coffee brand. the glorify something that is so thick is causing so much pain to the country everywhere like it's way more sense with a cocaine brand or like a meth brand that's like murdered out. That makes more sense to me. But over that I disagree that the rose silencers angle is Free Speech. That's irritating. it's I that irritating part to me is Moderation. Like we can't we can't moderate somehow what the world says. But in until they decide we should moderate something because Instagram has been incredibly effective at moderating abortion content. Facebook has been incredibly effective almost moderating, its internal, almost instantaneously exactly. Its internal discussions they've been yeah. With no training. No, like no, like magic change methodology. It was like it's like fucking magic like man somehow You can go out and and tweet or put on Instagram, you know, anything, like microaggressions against every black human being in the world and no moderator. Could figure, you can live stream suicide and shootings in Buffalo grocery stores. No, moderator can catch it but instantaneously, we can clamp down on Roe v. Wade, discussions, we figure that one out. So that is the more irritating part to me, so I'm gonna vote Rose silencers for that. Isn't their argument that Not that they can't do it. They can't figure out a way to do it. As to not infringe with people's Free Speech. Wrap their excuse is that same thing Free Speech rights. Exactly. That's what Emma ocean content. Yeah. Yeah. I know. But moderating abortion content like they. It's, it isn't like to me. It's not about Free Speech rights ever. That's the cloud cover. Yeah, exactly. It's the moderation capability that their Cloud covering. That's the thing. Like you have the capability, you know, just selectively choose what, you know, has a couple capability man is like all the users and stakeholders care about about this. Like, the wild thing to me is that it's, it's now a known thing. That Mark Zuckerberg controls all this. If you just simply, like, walked away from all these apps, there's your voice because, because because the market would recreate another one, and hopefully with a democratically controlled company. That you, you could have some input in so, People could just walk away from this nonsense. I don't know. It always it still to this day surprises. Me that people don't just walk away from corporations that they truly detest, but maybe I'm just a idiot. Well, that last are you voting for the Dallas Cowboys? Yeah, it's just really. Okay. So, Yeah, jewel. I don't know why. I don't care about Jewel, Emma. I don't know why. I think it's the weakest of the three and about it. I just don't know what to think about anything anymore, like, vaping cigarettes. It just seems so like quaintly like, 2004 1989. Just like, I missed those days when we were worried about. Teenagers just like, fair enough. um, God, I do hate the NFL. But that just seems like we're gonna oh, I'll go with roast, all right. So what? That'll be the winner asshole. Irritating us of the way. and people, I know our audience is probably at this point is like 120 million, right? Matt. Yeah, I think last count was actually 126 so I'm speaking to all 126 million of our listeners. You you can exercise your right to vote at a meta platforms board and by just walking away from the company like you, right? Yeah. The friends that you think you have on the social media, they're not your friends. You'll read congregate elsewhere as all I can say. Okay, before we get out of here, does anybody want to say? Who won the week? I got a winner. Ari. This is Ari's classic, skip category. Siobhan zillis, won the week. She gave birth to Elon musk's bastard children. And that's what it took for everyone to realize that she's a genius, AI executive working at a company that's designed to read your mind. I mean, It's hard, not to be a winner, the children, it's not the children's fault. No, but it's not really her fault either but she managed to win the week because this she's a sympathetic character. She like we all know. Now how creepy like as if we didn't Elon Musk probably is because there he's fighting the lawsuit against the flight attendant who said, he propositioned her as well. But it looks like he's propositioning. Whoever he wants and fathering children with whoever he wants. And this woman is like, no pushback, by any board by anyone, there's no accountability. There's no pushback. I don't understand. And she is like, like, AI genius, isn't she? She's like a like an actual human being and now we know she is and we know the pressure, she's probably been under the fact that she You know, continues to exist. Is like, she won continuing to exist is My winner of the week because Emma's is better. So I'll just get my other way. I think it's Ari's kitchen floor because Aries showed a picture of wood. Hardwood floors hiding beneath some ugly tile, I had the same experience at my kitchen and it was a beautiful day when they took exciting. And and we're now using that hard work from the 1950s and it's beautiful. Oh, it changed my life. All I always kitchen for winner of the week. I'm a winner is Brett, Kavanaugh and reason being is that he's getting to be the victim that he really the part he loves to play. He gets all these. Oh, he psyched. He won Cry Baby, World does yes. Uh, predictions. I'm gonna go with my first because it's long-winded. I want to get other way and I want to stop talking because my coffee really isn't working today. For some reason, I got this weird feeling today, That. Elon is going to be done as CEO at Tesla this year. I just it just dawned on me. Yeah, I don't know why I was just thinking about like all the bad. All the that he does a really good job of being crazy because you kind of forget that there are so many things that are happening badly at like we've had this conversation a bunch of times by now. But there's a reason why Tesla's ESG scores not high. Yes there's a lot of ESG scores really? Yeah. Because there's a lot that the company struggles at like the the S component and the g component. They struggle at mightily and I know like msci for instance, they have a controversy report that they put out, they have a controversy score and I'm sure there's a lot of controversies going on there as well. So they there's a lot that they're suffering at. I think he's just gonna he's gonna use the excuse of being distracted at Twitter. I think eventually the Twitter deal does go through he's gonna pretend, he's gonna focus on getting us all to March. Something's gonna happen, but I think I think he's gonna like tiptoe out of Tesla because it's a it's a mounting dumpster fire and I just coming. That's right, it's coming. Yeah. Otherwise, the board is going to be in a shitload of trouble one day for literally doing nothing to prevent this. This, the risk for their, for their shareholders and investors, because they don't help hold him accountable for anything. So, just maybe there's a deal behind the scenes to get to have him walk away. I have no idea classic, I'm gonna step into executive chair role. Well, no, the SEC wouldn't let him be chair. It's funny, you mention. I think he's gonna come up. He's gonna create some bullshit title to stay as an executive. Well, he's still the Techno King according to the final like that. Yeah. He won't be running data. They operation. We'll see you anyway. That's my prediction. I can go. My prediction is that I'm the Pizza robot from Ari segment is going to become sentient and declare war with Italy. You won the week. I'm gonna change my vote. Um, thank you. All right, you don't have one, right? You can go first. Wait, no. My prediction is are never has a prediction. I'm Matt. Yeah. What do you have? I predict this is a bit of a weird prediction but I saw this headline across our ticker. I predict push pin off. Krishnamurthy, who is a finally did. Some finally did some research on how to pronounce who was a walker activist for climate change. I predict that he breaks into a jog, well, climate change. I, the headline that I saw was this is the headline. I've started walking faster, Walker activists on creating Awareness on climate change. He's walking faster. I think the inevitable next step in order to build awareness. Is he becomes a jogger. Wow. Change Matt. Well, that's really my good graces today because you got to headlines that I pulled not knowing where to incorporate them and you did it. Thank you that headline. I knew you wanted in a new you wanted it in and but like it to me that there's a perfect prediction there that guy just like escalation where eventually he's sprinting for climate change. Before we get out of here, I'm not gonna poop. On your prediction. I think it's I think it's very, very well done but you clearly don't know the heart in Mind of a Walkers because Walkers, there's nothing more, they hate than joggers, that's all so true. Well, that. But but look, we're talking about climate change activism. Yeah, I'm not talking about I'm a walker versus a jogger, we're talking about. This is a crisis, the different categories need to escalate. I have a prediction too. Oh what? I always show up prepared. Go ahead. I predict the Hulu is gonna disappear. Hulu disappears. The hula hoop. Oh wait this, I think, I kind of get it. it's a meld with Disney's plus Disney's gonna Absorb it. but it already does own it, you realize, yeah, but I think it's just gonna there's too many Right now, and I think Disney's just gonna become a bigger thing. I mean, there's a hole that's actually could use like having the two subscriptions Services. People are picking one of the other. They're very few people, I think, have I thought it was a package deal? I get why the hell do I need like two different apps to watch? Somebody's content. I think they're going to become one. I like that prediction Ari. I like it very much. I think it's a terrible Disney plus. It's gonna go right there where it's coming out of Damien's mouth. I like it. Yeah, I like friction. Why you have two things? Run away steam trains, making a lot of money you're gonna get rid of that is how dare you? Stupid mouth roles. Emma lurking and Ari the data queen. I am at Miss cardi. We are free float. Take it back if you like this. You're one of the 126 million who do, so congratulations to you. And I didn't say they like it. I just said they're in our butt. That's listening. That's fair good. Thank you. Listen, totally. I think actually the stats suggest that 125 million 900 999,994 of them. Hey, listen. Yeah. So, if you're one of the six, who like this feedback, um, congrats. If you're everybody else. Yeah. Feel free to rate us and tell us how terrible we actually are. We'll be back next week with more business pants. Goodbye
