How are you here? No, there he goes. Okay, I work. No, not doing it. No, I woke up my little bit. All right. It's true. I'm awake. You did it. I'm alive. I'm your ai's. AI Wait. Look I'm not no one ever discusses that isn't AI gonna have its own AI. Is that a thing? Should we be discussing this artificial? Artificial intelligence, you're jumping. Far ahead. And do they cancel each other out? It's a woke data, Wednesday spectacular here at the woke data, lab and Spa. Join us always by Emma kosher lurking and Matt rant topless moscati although you you deleted your rant, did you know, Yeah, cuz you told me not to rant, just don't know what the Press Emma and me every day. Yeah, no, no, this is not gonna be depressing. This is going to be funny. Okay. All right. And depressed, I'm a 12 on a scale from A to Z and today is melon shape bag of Wordle scented nuggets. I've killed will sneeze coming from Emma called July 13th, 2022. Woke data, director surveys, anti-woke news. A quiz. And I know news quiz Matt. Yeah, it's quiz. Emma's trendy. Dumpster dive. Let's get to it. Let's get to the most exciting thing ever. And yeah. All of you in our audience and Matt assures me that there's some of you out there. That's what I'm told they're out there. Just think just I want you to I want you to step away from your desk or whatever you're doing. I want you to sit down somewhere in a position where you're praying to whatever you pray to and thank that entity that we are covering. Kpmg's 2022, boardroom diversity survey because no one else does. You know, all these PDFs and services that you see at your job all the time and no one ever talks about them. But you're like you're forced to open them and kind of look through them and we talk about it. So thank us. Are you saying they hate their lives? They might you should thank us for reading it for you. They don't seem like the funnest Bunch so they might hate their lives. I might did I just insult our audience, I can't tell. You just simultaneously demanded the audience. Thank us know and insulted them. I did all of that. Let's get to it. Let's do it. This is KPMG. 2022 boardroom, diversity survey called poised for change. Question, mark. But this should just call it that every year poised for change. Poise. I don't like the word poise. I don't like the title. Let's get that. We just boys. Are they always gonna be always change or they actually Gonna Change? I think gonna be poised for a while. I'll take a spider, you're always ready to be a while. Okay, this is what they call it. This is to better understand how directors view the opportunities and challenges of enhancing their diversity in the boardroom, the KPMG board Leadership Center, you know, about this, the KPMG board Leadership Center. How come we're not a part of that? How are we not on the center? Yeah. How are we? At least not speaking at your events. Every day. This is actually this show should just play in Loop that survey board leaders more than 700 directors. And yes, KPMG, you, you're welcome. We're covering your crap. Here we go. Actually, I like these surface. It might be the only one. Here's the first question, and I, there was a, there was a bunch of bunch of stuff going on over 20 pages. I just kind of picked hand-picked some stuff that amuse me. If you were to rebuild your board to best meet your company's needs for today in the future. How different with the boards composition be including diversity of skills and backgrounds from its current makeup. Okay. So basically saying, do you hate your fellow board members right? Yeah, look around that those seven people of 10 should be ready for this. You're saying the answer either being moderately or completely different they will they either moderately or completely want to rebuild their board. Right. The global averages 63%. Wow, that's all right. In the US it's 56% in Mexico. The highest at 79% there's a lot of weight. All they really asked is, do you hate everyone? You're on the board with, and all that really says is yeah, I don't like people and the people I'm on the board. Look, most of the answers are, is it falls into the moderately, different Camp, meaning, you're right. That just hate like, maybe a couple people but there are plenty of people who say completely different. So this is troubling. I like that. I like that completely different. Correct. Maybe some company to come up with some data set that starts to rate board members, maybe maybe a company can do that. Oh, who could you? Boards. April metrics come, yeah, we can do that, we're doing that. Here we go. They're gonna hate us, she's gonna hate us, I love it. I'm gonna turn that into an advertisement, we can play on Loop. Okay, you got it. How concerned are you that a lack of diverse views in your boardroom hampers and say, for discussions or identification of blind spots and issues important to the companies future. This is really the Crux of why we pushed diversity, right? It Creates blind spots kills. Good discussions. Moderately are completely concerned. 57 percent, global average, 57% are moderately, are completely concerned that again. Sounds Ridiculously high to me. Worth pointing out though. The US is the lowest somehow where we have the most ego the biggest diversity issues. Somehow they're the ones least worry. I'll say like the first question where Mexico was the highest. And now in the second one, Brazil is the highest. This is a market that we leave out maybe too much in the show Latin America. Like we talked about Asia a lot for not caring but we gotta we gotta mix in more stories from Latin America. That's all I'm saying. I'm gonna throw in this seven under directors. How what could the sample ruin it with you? Don't ruin it. Number three, what additional type of diversity would be most beneficial to your board based on the company's long-term strategy. There's a bunch of interesting things here. I think well maybe not interested in the map. Maybe to him. Here we go. A 39% say race. Ethnicity is either lacking, but not immediately required or not relevant. So that that's that's oh, seems like a pretty hot, I like not relevant. I think this one's even more troubling. 35% say, expertise and Technology digital strategy, either lacking, but not immediately, required, required, or not relevant. The average age of the respondent, there was 90. Third of all, all board members say that they're, they're bored is lacking expertise and technology and then and yet they're not gonna do anything about it or forget it who cares? That seems trouble because it's like, you crazy kids and your check. No Dre, just use a rotary phone. And it's finished. Second. Same could be said, for expertise and risk management, 25% say it's lacking, but not immediately required or not relevant. That risk management doesn't seem important. Does seem mildly and just surprise of no one guessing here are two skills that nobody cares about socioeconomic 80%. Say, it doesn't exist and we don't care. Or how about this one human Capital Management basically half half say we don't have it, we don't know, we don't know what to do with it, but we don't care. That. That's another traveling one. Yeah, 44% Emma. I'm I'm worried about the sample of Directors, that were polled. Who Are these people? Well what are they worried about? John Smith 1882, some other tidbits here in the UK, only this only three percent. Think to CEO experience is an important skill. I like the UK for that. Why do you need a bunch of CEOs in your boards? That's what they're saying. Why does every board have to be a bunch of dumb? See, I guess you don't in the UK. Yeah. And Argentina. Zero percent. Think that the most important skill is someone with an ESG background or experience zero percent and Argentina. Well, they might be right about that. Oh yeah, but this one in China, zero percent think that human resources experience is the most important skill, like, you know, Okay. Isn't that just saying? We don't want women on our boards isn't that just that's just what that is code. Next, if you identify as a member of an underrepresented group, what challenges do you face in having your voice heard? This is from the US. 33% of these people said at least one of the following was going on. Other board members tend to dominate discussion other board members tend to Discount my opinions boards. Culture does not encourage all voices other board members, tend to take credit from my insights or my favorite. The 5th. One other. Which could be anything. Right. Emma, like why aren't they here in their voice? Maybe the blenders too loud. Maybe they're speaking a language and don't understand. I'm just saying, I don't know. Maybe what I walk in the room, all they can say is the n-word. That's the only thing they say, isn't this a, this is a direct call for board Sabor menu. Yes, that's what we measure is. Why is it only was? I picked the story. So, subtle way to advertise, that we are the only company data company, research company. I know of that is willing. To rate boards and board members. I'd like to take Damien's adjective subtle back subtle you All right. Could you also edit the part where he says that I know of because then it's like, well, what do you know? Yeah. Well just edit that out. You make it the only. Whoa, this is a good one. What are the greatest impediments to recruiting diverse board candidates. Here's a shocking. One by far, the winner and this one for for lack of qualified candidates we've heard that before. Right there just are no smart black people or women or The Runaway winner here. Now, the United Kingdom 55% say that there's a lack of qualified diverse candidates, what's going on, the UK, most people know, most people in the UK have never been to London in the UK and seeing diverse. Most people, never lets probably possible. No, never here. Just staying in your country. The global average here still concerning at 29% but I'm a little concerned by this. The full third thing that they're just aren't qual. That's I don't know that's very concerning and they sound like a holes. Can I just say that? Yeah. You how many times have we shown you? The stats on education experience of underrepresented groups. It's it's the same. Well they were they might have actually been including the impediments recruiting diverse board candidates as bald white men in that cohort and which case it is difficult because while there's a lot of them you cannot call them bald c words anymore and that makes it harder to recruit rate the important to the following criteria. When recruiting new board members, this is in the US and last place for the most important criteria, Human Resources experience but of course. Yeah, this course, this is where the women are, right? Yeah. Yeah, first place for most important is C Suite experience and that's where the women ain't but not you. The other season the least important criteria is a tie ESG background experience, that's all. So, where the women are And again, Human Resources experience. That's where the women are. So oh, they're kind of like playing a game here. Yeah, exactly. They're playing a coated game where it's like we like certain type of people but not that. Not the traits associated with women 20 other works out. But also here's my thing about the human resources, one in particular, like, 40 upwards of 40% of a CEO's job kind of Human Resources. He, you know what I mean? It's like a lot, right more than ever. Yeah, but that's why I'm hearing a pandemic. Yeah. You know, well, it's, you know, making statements after, like, National tragedies happen and, like, figuring out what to do with employees, who are upset about, whatever your company, whatever campaign, your company donated to managing like your Executives and their personalities, dealing with higher. I just don't get it. What about dealing with the great resignation? I mean right? Exactly yeah yeah. I'm a little pissed at KPMG, just didn't go, right? Like, don't women like like women don't we don't want. That's what we're here. Just where we're here to actually talk about this like human beings. There's no always started this company to well to put a human touch on it, all this stuff. You know, the women thing and also the very obvious signal that we don't care about the human element. We care about the monetary women or labor Point. Very good women in humans. Okay. Finally, how would you describe the questions and observations offered by the board during discussions of issues that are of strategic importance of the company? Basically they're saying is the discussion in your board. Does it suck or not? Mmm, The Worst by far is, uh, China and Hong Kong 55%, say that it's either perfunctory or inconsistent. Which means, oh that there's no effort going on, or it's just so no one is showing up prepared. But with wait a minute. Wait a minute, wait a minute. Yeah, go ahead, Matt. Shine, the problem with that question is dual. Let me get into it, try to clearly not reading along. I did, I looked at the mcsa, I missed CI data. Thank you, msci. For providing us access to your data. I looked at the msci, China a index, I believe, 567 companies, 71% of those companies are controlled. Which means that know what the board members at these companies. Just think it's pointless. It's just these four discussions. Why am I here, pointless? What this is why we rant against things like Zuckerberg's, right? But KPMG, you need to reformulate the cohorts, your reporting here. It's not country based that's structural right. Like my job is, pointless, is directly the same at The Meta platforms board, as it is in a Chinese State. That's why I did that work because my Spidey Sense went off higher. Damien, pleased that I imagine me at KPMG. What? I'm more of a peer funny. G. What am I what what category would I be and how would I how would the Sorting Hat slot me? I think he'd be a lowercase. Am I I'm done. I'm done. You're done Bears. All right. Give me a quiz quiz. Don't don't look. Don't look at the notes because I didn't hide this, but today I thought we could play a little game. It's not a big game, a little game. I'm gonna read a headline. This is um and you're gonna guess the outlet that published it, where it got published. This is notes from the anti-woke. This is anti-wolf news quiz. If it helps, if you need a hint, I can give you a quote from the article or the name of the author and where they're from, like, what their background is, but the person who gets closest with their guests is crowned anti wocus. So, let's do this. Okay, I'm gonna be I'm gonna suggest that we play as a team. Whoa. Oh no, you're already. Lost was just quit the game. First headline, new ESG rules are hurting American farmers. That's the headline. Where was that? But we'll start with you. You do you know this? That's why I want to start. Yeah, you warmed up. I know this is yesterday oil go first Changes.com oilprice.com something like that. Oilprice.com oilprice.com Emma. Yeah, we covered this yesterday oil price.com. It was written. It was actually originally written anonymously by Zero Hedge but republished entirely on oilprice.com. That's correct. Absolutely correct. In which they blame ESG for making Farmers. Poor that article. All right. Next That's what did it. It was the ESG. Okay? Every one of these I'm going to give you what they blame ESG for. Here's the next headline. ESG investing is a leftist power, grab by another name. Well, okay. It's gonna be some right wing. Newspaper. So it'll either be You, you might go. I'm playing a game here. I might think that. Let me, let me, let me answer. How dare you National like the National Review? Wall Street Journal. There's that one in Washington. The you can do what you think, the right one. I'm gonna for Outlets makes a lot of sense for this game. Yeah, that's how that works. He just takes all of them before. I have a chance to say, just say them all Washington Examiner. Shit Emma. What's your guess? All right. That was gonna be my guess but I'll go. Fox Business News Talk. Oh good one. Good. Guess that was actually the Washington examiner. Congrats, that's right. It was your choices. It was written by Todd radhika who's the Attorney General in and here's a quote from it. Yes, that is correct. You in general of India is my worst nightmare. The Attorney General of Indiana. It might be my worst nightmare. I feel so first of all, I bet like I better go party rainbow flag like in my safe right now. I can see him coming to get it. He's coming for it. Yeah, he blames. This is not a joke. This is what the article says. He blames a global coordinated effort, by all the asset managers Banks and Regulators alongside every standard Setter like the financial stability, board and climate action. 100 and ever, all these ngos and sazby, fast be everybody for an effort to subvert, the will of the people and impose, ESG, martial law on us. Wow, he's really screwed up. Here's what he says, here's the quote from the article, quote, elected officials must remain Vigilant to counter the threat to Liberty from Wall Street banks, in the Biden Administration, opposing ESG, policies on Hoosiers. This is a fight, we can win and we must the country. Depends on. And with like that's easy with Foo, Martin Luther King Jr. Does he go into that too? Because there was a lot of there was a, I just love too much coord Too. I'm really loving that. That is ESG. The country depends on us fighting the ESG. You can tell, it's made up when you slip in the Biden administration because suggesting that you just started like last month, I don't understand that one. Joe Biden's granddaughter, probably told him ESG acronyms three minutes ago. Like, there's no way into it. That was all right. Here's here's the next headline. Headline is Kentucky GOP officials questioned s&p's use of ESG on State's credit score means, okay, you might need a hint for this one. I like who wrote it or a quote from it or whatever? Give us a hint. Okay. Yeah. Who wrote it? Okay, this was written by someone the real name Steve bitten Bender, it's real person who also writes for I'm not joking. Casino.org. What? Is this like an op-ed and like, the Kentucky whiskey in? I don't know. I, I don't, I feel like it's done like sea span equivalent. I don't know. Okay, I'm giving points to Emma. Give points to Emma because it's called The Center Square. And it's a website that covers State houses and state legislation like C spanner. But C span is, am I think you never been C-SPAN? It's Spanish because it's not the C-SPAN is Congress. Span not State House, spam, but it's not a public. It's not, it's yes, state-run organization, is it? It's Zimmerman, s span. Okay, so in this one, he's blaming ESG for politicizing credit ratings or Kentucky is blaming ESG for doing that. And Kentucky is really angry about their ESG score credit scores from S&P that were a score of two. For E3, for S and two for G. On a scale, one to five. Where one is positive and five is negative, they got rated fine. They're really angry about. They were rated proximately. Fine. Remember really the ratings, all the, the research prior to ESG is sound science. It is, it is done. It. So I think all his science, not like climate change. He's trying to say, is that credit is new stuff is, what is wacko, Scientology kind of stuff, but the old credit rating. That's done, we, it's, there's no bias. There's no, no, it's sound science. Just like the SAT scores sound science. Speaking of science, let's talk a little economics. Here's the headline. ESG, feeds, inflation hurts economic growth. Then again, ESG this is beads feeds inflation, feeds inflation hurts economic. Well, yeah, because that blaming it or inflation or organic. Tilapia milk because super expensive. That's the closest thing I've ever heard my life. Okay, I'm gonna go first this time. I think mostly because I have a guests immediately because ESG feeds inflation. And then what was the second part hurts hurts? Economic growth hurts economic growth like hidden opinion? He Wall Street Journal? Oh, that was gonna be my answer. Can I go with? That was my answer. You're both correct. It is the Wall Street Journal and it is an opinion piece. You guys are really good at this. Actually right though that sound like we understand the economy, you don't talk to the max. Well, the opinion is the best place for that because David Henderson is the is the writer. He's an economist at the Hoover Institute, which is A conservative limited government in Institute, co-written. But with Mark joffy of the reason Foundation didn't know that was a thing. The reason foundation. So God and Jeffy actually wrote a piece in the past saying pension fund should stop filing proxies because it's a waste of their time. They it's a waste of money and time and energy time just don't even The Pension funds, because they should focus on being fiduciary and stop doing all this. Probably, if you I'm guessing the employee like 400 people to run the fund, it's probably all 400 of them are working on these Proposals all at once. Probably all year. It is just yeah, the staff of two doing it. Yeah. I'm gonna skip ahead here because there's a bunch and I want to get to my favorite way. Can I before you get to the your favorite? Are there do have? Are there any women or Non. Let's just put a little, put a bluntly are any of these written by not white dudes? Because you yeah okay, yeah, I'm excited. Can you do that one? Here. Comes you ready for this? Okay. Here we'll do two more ready. Here's the second last is Complete collapse. Here's how ESG destroyed one nation's economy just destroyed. Wow, not joking. That's the headline. We get the hint one. What's the nation? Here's how ESG destroyed, one nation's economy, the nation is Sri Lanka. Wow. Oh my God. Yes, that's right. They're blaming the entire collapse of the Sri Lankan government on ESG. I'm gonna gets like a it's like a right wing. Or Centrist European newspaper. And my clothes. Um, I was I would say that's closed weird. I have no idea what the name is, but the the one nation is really giving me one nation under God. Which is Bringing me to Emma, like a Christian, like, religious publication, maybe like the Chris, the daily Mott, the Christian monitor, like what is that? That one, oh Christian Science, I'm gonna give Emma credit here. It is from The Daily Caller. The Daily Caller, which this it's like a far, right? But like it mixes in judeo-christian stuff. Well, they all right stuff. Whatever. The right is talking about this was written by Michaela burrow David. Oh yeah, Mikayla Burrows prior journalism. Bonafide is include graduating. From Christian Colorado University in 2020. And then, um, getting a master's in international policy in 2022. This is her first job and she went straight for. I'm in ESG. Can you economic highlights there like, what is the takeaway? It was basically, yeah, it was Ghost written more or less by Peter. Earl a Libertarian Economist at the American Institute of economic research which wrote he's like four books on how the coronavirus lockdowns were on fickle science and terrible and they hurt the four books. Damn. Yeah, he wrote a lot of books. Actually, research. The Clearly, he's he's basically quoted 16 times and what can you give us? The main takeaway of how they tie. It just is Because the Sri Lankan government signed an accord and which they were going to move from using normal, fertilizer to organic fertilizer. They the economy collapsed because they rely so heavily on producing normal. Fertilizer that it just normal circles. That is the economic collapse, is it focus on fertilizer use. In normal circles, it's focused on the fact that Sri Lanka has been a family-run dictatorship for 40 years and the people live in poverty and finally had enough, right? Like I haven't read one article outside the Daily Caller. Organic that mentioned, fertilizer incredible, not one. That's one of the best stories covered all year. And here is my favorite of the anti-woke news Roundup. Here's the headline, ESG, and others seek changes to established ways. You are never going to catch, get where the public. I think. It doesn't have to be. And yes, she does sentiment. Right. Oh, it is. seek changes to established ways is this from like the people like the People Press It does sound that way. Actually, it's a credit credit for like a logical. Guess that's all. It's all Better, Home and Garden. Whoa! Oh, I like that guests, too. That's good. The answer is the pilot, which is a more County. North Carolina, local paper. And this was written by Connie Lovell. Who is a lifelong resident and knows fuck all about ESG at never not any issue for their paper. It's an opinion piece, she's not in finance. She's not a lighter for them. She Wrote this, she actually goes in the article. The blame, your ability to not get a loan on diversity and inclusion of these. I get it, I get it. Here's my, here's my quote. I'm gonna read it in full and that will be the game. Quote consider students applying to college or for student loans community services and expected line item on any application. But what is Judge to be valuable Be a valuable Endeavor. And who are the judges is teaching Sunday school. As valuable as saving a whale achievement is only partly considered. When applying for higher education environmental social and governance. Standards are also used to weigh the worth of the applicant. That's right. If you didn't know, ESG rates your children, going to college now, ESG now becoming code for just being a good human being It's literally on top of doing any thing that you do that. I don't like they're gonna do it. That's Connie level from the power. I will say this man, wish Connie might be right. I, I visited a few college campuses recently. Do you know that there are no longer white students at college campuses is done? No one either. So get rid of all that. They're they're gone. It's worked. I look my takeaway from reading these because this was just this week. I'm not joking. I did not go backwards. Certainly the Articles from the entire woke industry is certainly taking off since spring. The the fact is if you think ESG Compadres that this is going away or not going to be in your face. The this is here and you better fucken tool up and start fighting back about how stupid this is, and these people are morons because it's not going anywhere, it's getting worse, Connie level felt okay. Writing about ESG, she's never seen and ESG data point in her entire life, in more County, North Carolina, doing whatever it is. She does. In fact, I try to look her up and I found her address, and it's a country club in Moore County North Carolina is listed like next to her name and told you professionals who rely on my daily advice. I got some for you. Don't when you responding to these types of arguments, you don't don't you don't have to sound all Finance nerdy. Just just respond as a human being. Yeah. The shoot him down. Don't use data. Try this. You know, have no idea what you're talking about. Shut the fuk up musk says, it works really well. Yeah. And with that, let's wrap this sucker up. Yeah, come on, it's my turn. My turn. So here's the thing about my segment. Today, the trends sucked. The trends today was sucked them. I don't believe that. I'm switching up my segment. I didn't like any of them this morning. So, today I'm going to do Emma's should be trending woke. Wednesday, dumpster dive. Oh, I'm better, I'm scared. Let's do this. Yep. All right. Number one, Global Gender Gap 2022. These 10 countries are the closest to parody. This is two parts and it they are mini quiz questions. Number one, firstly. Guess which country you think, is the closest to gender, parity, which is number one? Can you quickly Define parody? Nope, you you're not going to find parody good. I like that better. I like, I like that. I just didn't know. Flat know. I'm gonna go Finland. Yeah, I was gonna go Scandinavia or I'll just say Norway. Yeah. I'm going skin and Avia. Yeah, yeah. You guys, I feel just guessed the second and third on the list. Okay, Norway is third with 84.5% parity Finland as 86 percent parody. Number one, number one is Iceland and navy and trying there. No, it's not, shut up, it's not below that. I'll just quickly run through 10 in fourth. We have New Zealand, then, Sweden, Rwanda, and Ireland and Germany. Wait, there are non see usually it's, it's like dominated by very, very, very, very, very white country so it's no thrill that you're saying that, okay. Yeah, that's why I pulled that I really like it. That's trending. Where's the US? Whereas the US that is my second question. 37 list, 37 out of 200, 20 or whatever 200 is always usually 37. That's oh, then it's a little bit higher than that sounds right, 20 for three and a half, 23 and a half 40, 23 and a half. Let's say 42, 23 and a half. And in Damien's 42, Well, why were you? Why are you hesitating there? Clearly goes to close this for that. Going over closest with that. Go over what it is. All right, number two, so that's what I think should be trending. The United States sucks. Iceland is amazing. Apparently number two, Amazon issued, thousands of disciplinary notices for seemingly small infractions, documents show. So Amazon is the middle of a case of the National Labor Relations Board, regarding the firing of one of their employees in 2020. And they had to produce all these documents as required by the labor board. And so they released 600 specific, disciplinary notifications and here's some things that I learned from. So these here's one from April 2019 to April 2020, Amazon issued 13,000 disciplinary notices in the recently unionized Staten Island, Warehouse alone, just that warehouse 1300 horse of a year 13,000, they had 5300 employees. Okay? That's about two boat two per employees over, right? Yeah, six months. The yell at you, Right. The infractions from the disclosed disciplinary notices included. Meeting 94% of the company's productivity goal instead of 100%. Oh, wait a minute. Wait a minute, hold on. 94 is an a, isn't it? It's at least not even today minus. That's an a. Yeah, I'm confused. I know that one being off task for six minutes. Tallying, Knight products in a six minutes, six straight minutes. They were totaling your thumbs. I don't know. I mean you would love someone. I don't know how, I don't know how long your bowel movements take, but six minutes is off tasked, right? They tallied 19 products in a storage bin that actually had 20. They exceeded Break Time by four minutes and my favorite they made four errors, grabbing items for Shoppers in a week where that employee had grabbed 15,800 correctly. Oh, you get a disciplinary notice, but the fourth, they messed up. Wow. I'm here's the here's the irony of that last one that one time, Amazon sent me something erroneously and we all my family. Loved it. We didn't. We didn't know what it was. I remember we put a game trying to figure out what it was. It was a great amount of fun. So I think that they're kind of wrong about this, Distillery action. I think that they should encourage this kind of Tom Ford. They did that to us too. And then when we tried to return it, they actually just said, Kia, we got the same response and we were like, what we said, what am I doing to keep it? And we said, well, what is it? And they didn't know All right, finally number three in Emma's. Should be trending. Dumpster. Dive Starbucks returning. CEO Schultz is giving staff, active shooter, training and shuttering 16 stores after employees safety complaints. So first and foremost personally does active shooter. Exactly. Yeah, my first comment about this headline is does the phrasing of this headline? Not seen like how her shoulders personally giving the active shooter training? He's not Starbucks is just funding it. He's handing out a blanket and he says, hold it over your head and you won't see like Harry Potter had that invisibility cloak. What is he turned that Holocaust blink into an invisibility cloak? And then I think work very well, I'm gonna call her work it out. What that one out? I like, I like your technological solution. Everything is Potter base. Yeah, go ahead. So Based on this headline, there are now two groups of people who are in charge of dealing with the American gun violence, epidemic, and those are teachers and Baristas, which is cool. But in the letter that Starbucks sent their us employees about this whole situation, did they talk about gun violence? No, they do not mention it once in the letter, they do. They say that in the letter, they say that they're going to give employees active shooter training, but they do not talk about gun violence at all. Instead, they said this is a direct quote from the letter they sent their us employees. You are seeing first-hand the challenges facing our communities, personal safety racism, lack of Access to Health Care. A growing Mental, Health crisis, Rising drug use and more. So we're just going back to the classic things to blame mental health in drug use, but no mention of gun violence anywhere. But all that being said, the best thing that this article did was summarized, what Howard Schultz did during his last 10 years. As a Starbucks CEO, this is just like the best summary I've ever heard upon his return. Meaning, Howard Schultz upon his return. He led a mass firing of Executives and employees, shuttered. Hundreds of stores aggressively expanded into Chinese markets introduced A national loyalty program. That's a summary. He that's really that's a busy CEO. So this was a the time before he returned not because now he's returning the bus, stop the unions and before he returned correct, it's a mass firing. Correct. I'm confused though. because it says, You're seeing firsthand the challenges facing our communities, the challenge of personal safety is not for Community for gun violence, I guess. I guess so. So what I don't what you're saying is that they offer the training but they don't talk about guns. Is that what you're saying? Yeah, they're like yeah, communities are all of these things that are not gun violence but we are giving them active shooter training because I'm for what reason why don't know. Yeah, I'm sure surprised by this, I thought Howard Schultz, he leans to the left and a lot of these social issues so I he is, but Mr. Union Buster him know, it's He he leans he. I think that lean is actually because he's like 80 years old. Oh, it's a little leaning over his heart. It's a yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah not. Yeah. Don't mistake the link. You Emma lurking.
