Live. From the Hulu Netflix. Peace Bridge in downtown California. It's a Thursday quiz show here at business. Pants joined us always by Emma hates to win lurking and Matt needs to Lynne win, Miss cardi, I'm Doug. Okay, in Broken Dreams. Scented bag of nuggets called July 28th 2022. A big fat fun quiz. Yay. Oh you read that under duress, Me. Yes, she is. Yeah so pained that, is that does that's what dressed sounds like. It's not that much of a hardship, is it? Who's ready for the quiz? Come on. I'm ready. Oh yeah, sound effects. Oh my God. All right, that's it. All right, let's do this quick, I'm tired. I haven't finished breakfast. Yeah, anything yet. 1.5 ready for bed. Like Emma's been cheating but it's fine. Reddit, co-founder Alexis Ohanian, says, he's very serious. About his offer to buy what? To, or should I say to save, what? Am I already knows? So Matt. You go first. Yeah, I'll let him go first, because I, I have no idea and I would just guess Twitter, because it would be funny. Choco Tacos from Klondike, Oh, why would you waste your time saving crappie. Dare you things. I I know you like everything and really I was I'm just really I thought he was gonna say, why would you waste your time constructing a quiz, that included that question. So I feel I feel better about myself a little worried about the rest of the quiz. Actually, I'm not gonna lie little. Yeah, that's it. That's Emma. Emma lurking. For the win. Choco Taco. Yeah. Who cares? Rockstar Games? You know what Rockstar Games, man? You know, Rockstar Games the gaming company. Come on Jerry. Yeah, yeah, they're, they're cleaning up their frat boy, culture, supposedly and Grand Theft Auto as he just mentioned. Are they so rock stars? Next game, Grand Theft Auto 6 will include what for the first time. Here, I have a guess a girl that's what that was my guess. Mine was gonna be like a female driver. Yeah. A playable female protagonist which which means that it sounds like it's a choice, right? You don't have to be the woman which kind of to let down I think. it sounds like you can still opt to be the man but yeah, it should be the only protagonist but Look the amount of 12 year old boys are going to be very excited to play a woman. Be one up beautiful to me. One is hi. I think it's high. I think that's a high percentage and Emma. What else? Have developers reportedly? What are they? Reportedly promising? Not to do what else? like, Gratuitous nudity or like basically there. Yeah, like bottle like, you know, her body is in Dallas. I'm going in the opposite direction. It is. It is a they're gonna lean into that because they are getting. They don't want to like be part of cancel culture, where they say, oh, we're gonna make like all of our characters. Now, they made a female character, right? So now they, they have to prepare for the backlash and say, don't worry there won't be gays or blacks or they won't be anything else. Don't worry, we got rid of this anti woke war in his head. Like he, he's always game planing the next scenario in that battle. I'm saying that's closer. I can't believe they're promising to do this. They're promising not to punch down by making jokes about marginalized groups. Oh, they need to promise again. These are professionals that they're hiring at these kind of like they need to promise this. I'm sorry. Was the parents of Rockstar take two interactive as a publicly traded company? It's the parents of Rockstar it. It generates 1.4 billion in Revenue a year and They had to promise not to their words punched down. I'm gonna omit the word down, and I'm just gonna say they promised not to punch minorities. That's what they promised. That's where we're at. So here's the, here's the, maybe good news, I lose the meeting. Good news. That's where that's where we're going to make Emma think that the world is not as bad as it looks remember. Maybe that were that this progress happening. Why? So at Rockstar North at the company that Matt is alluding to take take two interactive. Take two Interactive, Yeah, I believe that 2018 the company had the largest median wage Gap in all of games a 34%. But now it has improved down to 14% And just three years. So do you feel good about that at least? I kind of I don't know why zero percent but I mean it's less than half. Like they cut it in half, that's not bad. Real progress. Here's here's the question Matt's Matt. I know Matt doesn't know what's going on. Here's a question which gaming company Has the highest percentage of women in the highest paid jobs. And they're also below the industry in national meeting wage Gap. There are doing all the things right. Is it what I think it is? Is it like the obvious answer that going so obvious? I don't know what that Vision. Blizzard is, it Matt know. I can't be Activision Blizzard, if, for no other reason than that, would be trade the entire narrative. That I was like confused. You then I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with something like the developers of Madden. Who's that? Yay, to? Matt mcgard, I say, Now listen, yes, prepare to be confused, so it's actually a company called King, which I think makes, um, oh, they do, there was a terrible Crush. Exactly owned by Activision. Oh, no. Maybe it's a different company. Bingo. What is you can? King is Candy Crush. You're absolutely right. So, they are actually owned. The thing we forget about Activision blizzards, they own a whole Suite of of game production companies, I think they must have acquired them along the way. Yeah, but yeah, that's King. It doesn't count, king owned by takes me to my next question. Microsoft is also below the industry median in the Nation Media. The national median with the wage Gap and as the fourth, highest percentage of women in highest paid jobs. So does this mean there might be something finally good to say about Activision Blizzard? The thing that's good to say about Activision Blizzard, it will it will no longer exist. It's gonna be Microsoft. So no, it does not, it does not get better. You're both on the answer. The real answer is Maybe Oh, I thought you were looking for. Maybe got it. Okay, I screwed that one up. Really who hates meta / Facebook, more than you? Okay, I have two Emma has a guest. I like it. I have not me, it's not me or my like Mom or something, stupid like that. my first guess is, um, Kylie Jenner or Kim Kardashian. Because there was news this week about how they were complaining. Yes. Let's get to your second guess is Tim Cook. Slash Apple matte wanna win on this? Oh think. Bigger picture Tim cooking. Apple is a picture is a good guess but they already won that game. um, who hey No one's a good answer or maybe. Like I'm not I I'll give you partial credit for that. Yeah, I have to you regulator of some sort. Oh, Now we're getting there. It is actual Federal Trade Commission. Chair Lina Khan. My friend. Yes, he was a BFF. And why, why? How was she messing with Zuck? What's the proof that she hates like, what's happening? What just happened? I'm pretty sure that the reason is because the SEC is investigating not the SEC Federal Trade Commission. The FCC is, we'll trying to block meta from purchasing a virtual reality Fitness Company. Well, that's very specific. You sounded very confusing that answer, that very specific answer. Very, I just read that from the next question out of your voice, okay? That's very specific. They are blocking. This is okay, let me do you. Yes, the FCC led by Lina Khan is blocking that his purchase of a virtual reality Fitness Company. I'm sure. Go right ahead and say, we don't need Matt for this one. That's right. That's exactly right. The app is called within unlimited, whatever the hell that is. Yeah, she She is she is making the case, she's making the antitrust case and she says even if it's not a slam dunk case, even if there's a risk, you might lose there, could be enormous benefits from taking that risk, and I think that what we can see is that in action after in action, after an action, can have a severe cost and that's what we're really trying to reverse. So she's just saying, we're, you gotta just try, like you gotta go out after you gotta try. All right, big fan. Wow. She's got a big boy pants on. I don't know where everybody else has been, but it's kind of a good thing and it is a little weird to make a stand on a tiny know sap. No, not sure that's not like I'll take it. All right. What do they call this? Type of Anti-Trust, activism anyone know, let's get a little like Academic Year. What are they called this? This type of Anti-Trust activism that Lina Khan Lina Khan. This is the Lena Khan movement. What is this called? Come on. Oh, Emma. Emma's getting there. Oh my God. I just like Wars. Tech. Whoa. You might start with a D. It started a Neo starts with a Neo. I'll just tell you. I'm gonna say you're both wrong. Yeah. Liberal. Yo, Brandeis movement. Oh, I was know why not suggested excessively centralized private Powers dangerous for economically political and social. You know it's a movement started by the Supreme Court Justice. Brandeis. It's so it's it's kind of a rebirth of the movement. Matt, what do the anti-wolf call this movement? What are they anti woke think of this movement where they call it. Oh, wow, I did. Yeah. So she was kind no and their specific term actually. Oh man, I'm not, I'm not gonna get the, I'm gonna say probably it's gonna be something like a cute donkey, like, discrimination gonna be something. I'm also going with huge donkey, just partial credit for that, the answer is hipster antitrust. Oh yeah. Oh like that. Look like you need to you need to. You need to appreciate the antelope branding of stuff because they are very quickly. They're how do you tube think you pronounced? Louis Brandeis is named. How did they tell you? It's pronounce. It Louie, Brenda Justice, Brandeis, Matt. Wait, are you first all of us last name? Just how do they? What is this? How do you pronounce former Supreme Court? Justice Louis? Brandeis night name? I'm gonna go with Louise, I'm gonna give you a know. They actually prefer Lewis Brandis Brandis. It was Brandis moving on. Did Justice. Louis. Brandeis go to Brandeis Emma. Did he go to Brandeis Know. I mean, that would be really on. I'm gonna guess was named after Louis. Yeah. Oh, I'm gonna just pull credit everywhere. Yeah, it actually. The real answer is no dummy. It started. It was started seven years after his death. But but named after him. Oh, I think you're right. Matt. I think Harvard is the actual answer. Really. Is it? I just assumed everyone went to Harvard on the Supreme Court. I know like Boston area. What is there another actually, can we Force rank universities by like how powerful the people look out of the Mars? This is a good question because actually leads to my next question. Is it a coincidence that none of the famous Silicon Valley creepy Tech Founders went to Brandeis? Is that a coincidence? No, no not a coincidence. That that's the right answer, right? But it's true. I did a little bit of research, not one of the Creeps went to Brandeis. So maybe maybe there's something about this Neo. Brandeis movement that need. It's now Brandeis versus Stanford. We've been waiting for this. Bird. I like true or false? Metas new Chief strategy. Officer graduated from Stanford. Is that for you? You think of the answer and I'm gonna find out his stupid name. David. I think you're right there. Alright? David, Wayne her Did he go to true or false? Did he know he graduated from Stanford? They definitely not gonna let someone's last name. Waner still Stanford, I think that wanes I'm saying well true. Yeah. Emma's right. He, he graduated the new Chief strategy officer graduated from Stanford. What about the true or false? Meta's new CFO. Susan, Lee graduated from Stanford. True. Yeah. I know the answer that one. And what's up with all today? Because I think she was like a broadcast know. It's true. Stanford, you see? I'm trying to. I'm trying to do something here, Matt and you're like refusing to let me play. No, I'm not gonna let you everybody went to stand for is my point. I'm just trying to look, I'm trying to create the brand dice versus Stanford Turf War. I'm trying to establish it here, you know, let you know, letting is it working? All right, we're almost done with this. Moving on according to Facebook. Why is Tim Horton? CEO Daniel Schwartz? And the news today, this is a Rumors going around to Facebook Emma. You already know this? Yeah, go ahead. Um, yes well she pulls the news. All right, go ahead. I believe, honestly, I think I might mess this one up, but I believe that he is in the news because people incorrectly reported that he was I think debt or Now maybe dead. Maybe something happened. Yeah, I think that's it. No, what is it? Um, I think he was found in a Tim Horton's with cocaine on his just a little closer. That's a little closer that There's a conspiracy theory that the Tim Horton, CEO has been arrested for possession of child, pronography, and of course, Facebook is a wonderful place this rumor and let me just say this, this actually comes from a news source, quote, unquote, that right satirical stories about issues that affect conservative and that's the story. The story is that Daniel? Schwartz is arrested for child permanent. I don't really get to the satire but I will ask you this. I will ask you this question. True or false the conversation around. This story immediately focused on the rampant problem of pedophilia among Jewish people. True. Oh, that's how it all works. You see how nice life is these days. I like that. You actually like sort of by proxy wrap Brandeis. See what I do Brandeis is how I play heavily known to be heavily, Jewish, right? So you got should be ashamed of himself that he created this platform to spread these heinous rumors that immediately go to the darkest places of human behavior. But there goes Zuck. Thanks. Yeah, no, no. Shame is something he talking about Zuck. Let's wrap up the show with a few Zuck, tidbits. How much was someone willing to give old Zuck for his four bedroom, four bathroom home in San Francisco? Look, granted. I a lot of people have homes that are quite smaller than that, but on the skill of thinking, it doesn't seem that big four bedrooms four bathrooms. I mean, even I have three bedrooms, this doesn't seem that. It's not like a man. You couldn't call four bedrooms a mansion. Could you how much do you think? How do you think he got for this? Four bed, four beds in San Francisco like probably the coolest place to live in San Francisco, 25 million. I realize this stupid I was, I thought the number I saw was 35. I don't even know. I think I'm digging that for me because the answer is 31 million, doesn't really matter. But you're both basically, right. It's a lot of money. I got it right without going, I think I'm just stuck on the fact that four bedroom home is 31 million. I think I'm just a little out of it that No, I want you to put your house already right now. No 31 to be there. It's three bedrooms. So if I made it like, 20, 4 million, 20, that would be fair. Yeah. Three and a half 235 235 neighbors of hated Zuck, well, for a million reasons, but they specifically have hated Zuck ever since he moved into that four bedroom, four bath home. Because how many people would he have working on construction on the property? The they've been constantly redesigning, how many people have been have been working on construction on property. Yeah, so he's been how many people there's a specifically I'm looking for people for the reason why they hate Zucker is quiz. I just wanted to end up, just call it average, sure. Who cares? Just give me the number at how many people were working on reconstructing his stupid house. I'm gonna go with an out there number. I'm gonna go with like 30. I'm at Matt 30, just like 30 people at my house right now but really like I'm gonna go 200. Uh, I don't know how to answer this one. I thought the number I just, I I thought it was a silly, big number Matt, made it seem small with it answers, 50, Emma, 50. Okay, four bedrooms. How, but what are these people doing? Doesn't sound? How do you 50? If they're all, I mean, like all of the people doing the different things that once, maybe I can imagine it. I don't know, maybe I live in a really poor State because in Maine, it's, it's one guy with his with his friend who brings the radio that plays Led Zeppelin and then someone's dog. Like that's the crew. That's yeah, that actually was most of our crew. It was one guy with another guy who had a radio and they did play Bush. You have a much more modern version come out for us. It's Led Zeppelin ACDC that was Modern. If They're like. Four people Paving a driveway and eight people knocking down a wall. And there's, you know, he Yes, a lot of people. Know, look, it's if you're counting in the designers, that need to come and go, the furniture people who are bringing, like all sorts of new furniture. So you get, like, five furniture stores in their coming and going, you've got the architect, you've got a structural engineer. You've got at least, three or four. Carpenters, you've probably got two, two to three electricians and then the paint crew, the paint crew loan is like six people, right? You can get to 50 really fast. This is not I'm just not shocked by that. I guess you know four bedroom home though like how much space is there to work on? The thing is it's annoying in a city. You do this? Correct know where to sit. I mean we should be a Federal Trade Commission. Chair Lena you guys are you guys are fixated? Well, it's our, it's our brand of news. We focus on the people behind the story like we focus on the people. We're the, we're only brought it back so tough. Tough luck was, this is what we do here. This is what brought it back. Looks San Francisco. You're gonna be pissed off because he just shot a heart through the economy of 50, people in San Francisco. No longer have his house to work on. So see, see. See how I did that. Bring it back like inflation economics. Back. That's all we got for our quiz today. I won Matter what the score said that is Emma lurking and Damien Rollins and I the winner matters. We are free float media. We'll be back tomorrow with our weekly Roundup. We'll see you then goodbye.
