Hello. Yeah. Hello live from woke back Mountain. It's a woke data Thursday here. August 18th, 2022, Plaza in downtown everywhere. Today in the show we dig deep into our bag of conspiracy scented anti-esg woke Wars. I don't know what's happening anymore. Matt featuring Matt miscarriage anti-wolf Rabbit Hole of the week. The Upright Citizens. Corporate citizenship Brigade. Is that right? Is that the name? I don't know what's going on. I think that's right. It's all right. Look, help us out. I'm just gonna normally we have like a we do a tremendous amount of pre-production where did that? And we organized a show and organize it and oh, well we did. Well, I mean, we organized the show and we have like our daily bits that we go through. We do this every single day, we're very dedicated to it. Bringing the nobody who listens the information marketable, today, yesterday I was gonna put out a show in Damien's absence. I wish you had. No, I'm like pulled into it today and I wish you had just. Yes, I spent I am not joking. And I have full-time job. I spent like five hours researching some antiques stuff and went down. All these deep rabbit holes and it was Insanity. I have no idea. I came out with nothing. Nothing, nothing. Nothing like concrete. So what I'm gonna do is I'm going to tell you the things that I the rabbit hole. I went down and get to it was because nobody wants this like hearing someone's dream. Like don't, I don't want her too much freaking dream. All right, just cut to the chase. All right, here's what. I did, here's what I did. Here's the story, I read yesterday that dream. Right headline, was Nebraska state senators urged divestment from jenstar, Capital over ISS, ESG capital and can I at least out what I know about John SAR Capitol, they are one of the owners of ISS. They are the private private. I think there is more than I didn't realize they were majority, okay? Yeah. And it I got there by looking at another article. That's it States fight back against woke ESG investing. So this is all part of the state legislatures, fighting ESG investing because it discriminates against What dinosaur do? I don't know what they hated. It's too woke. It's too woke. So what I did was I read all about this Nebraska score story and apparently, some Nebraska state senators. Were a letter was sent to them by something called the corporate citizenship project, right? They also have a cc comedy improv or in the Upper East Side, don't they do something like that or is that something different? That's on Thursday nights. This is something. This is this is what they do from the rest of the week. The corporate citizenship project called CCS project. It's too hard to say that every time the CCP was their chair is Terry Branstad. He was the governor of Iowa for a long time. He was Trump's ambassador to China, CCP Chinese Communist party. This is where it started to develop really quickly. Be careful because the theory conspiracy theories for me. Terry, Branstad starts this organization, he's also started the American free enterprise Chamber of Commerce. The alternative to the actual Chamber of Commerce which apparently was too woke, the right? So they started the right wing version of the right winger. Yeah I'm with you. It's a further right Chamber of Commerce so that they're like off off Broadway. I think there are off Broadway in Iowa. It's Broadway in Iowa. That's what I said. I So so the CCP group writes a letter to the Nebraska state senators urging divestment from jenstar capital and because they're woke in ESG and all this stuff and they put it, you know, up for Vote or something. The story stopped mattering really quickly. When I started to get into whose CCP was CCP lists, three people on their website and remember this is a anti-woke outlet. if you look up the corporate citizenship project, you'll see like, Like article after article after article mostly press releases that they put out talking about how ESG is not transparent and needs to stop how like there there just it's all anti-work propaganda, okay? There are three people listed on their website, Terry, Branstad. The president of the group named who they listed as ghada. Salahuddin, I'm gonna butcher this name. I don't know how to CEO, right? This says president on the website, but she has listed herself as CEO in a lot of press, releases and articles, and quotes. And then, the third person is a somebody named Brian. Johnson is like, an exciting because well, I see her name is Rasheeda, but she's got two because, you know, black female CEO. This is exciting. This is actually, you would think this is confusing because Yeah, I I'm already confused. I'm just confused. Well, you would think so. So when you look at the press releases, there's a picture of a young. I mean, I like mid-twenties submit 30s at the oldest, right? Young black woman with a nose ring and that's like the picture of Rasheeda, sell who got us? Sell who, whatever. I don't know, maybe the same person, I don't know. Does this picture of this woman? I did a Google image search for that woman. And the only picture that shows up. Is that picture, right? Like there's no other picture. In fact, when you search for the president of the CCP which is the anti-walk one of the anti-wolf spokespeople now, You find no internet presence for this person. Yeah, I she doesn't exist. Point out that in her, I couldn't find bio. It says that she spent most of her career in public affairs, working for a diverse array of companies, including Financial Services, entertainment and energy. Usually we list the names of the companies that we've worked for we don't just say we worked at companies. Saying and when you've worked for companies, even if you didn't list the name of them, it suggests that you've been working for a while but the picture I'm conservatively saying she's like 27 years old like there's no way she's been like it could be an older 50 year old off of it, whatever. Okay, so here's here's, here's what I did. I was looking all over the place for information about this group because they are influencing legislators in a state. Force divestment of a company because of ESG got it. And this is when I noticed two things first, I noticed that in every one of their press releases, they only list one ESG company. Yes. Isaac list ISS. Institutional shareholder Services, the only ever list ISS. So every single one of their things is like, have you been reading about ESG investing? You know, it's a it's like you need to be careful. We want transparency companies like ISS for instance aren't transparent and are providing these ratings. Like it's always like and example would be ISS. I assess did this thing and this space know, first of all you're missing the Train. Everybody is anti-life thing right now. Like, why are you? I s s in fact. The president of CCP Miss salahuddin. Wrote a letter to the CEO. Of ISS and release the letter as a press release. Now, whether or not the letter actually went to the president of isss, I don't know, but the press release certainly went out with the full letter asking for some stuff and the stuff they asked for was like why didn't you downgrade Russia? After the Ukraine war for ESG, and this is why esg's not transparent enough, and the models don't work, something like that. Got me, gotcha. Second kind of, Sarah Palin, kind of gotcha journalism. so, this Thing that struck me. They only mentioned ISS and the thing that they influenced, the Nebraska state legislators to do, was to divest from one company. For ESG reasons. One company for like this anti-wolf anti-islamic, Branstad has something against issues to be the lightning rod for, for hate in this industry. It's ICS is sort of gone away. I part of it as they, they've changed ownership so many times. Now, they're private again. People kind of forgotten about the now. Black Rock seems to be the one that people love to hate, but It's something must have happened in back in the day, right? Well yeah, I think Rasheeda I think Rashid is a real person but do you think where she does a real person? I mean, second thing that who doesn't tell you the courts to me, as I'm just research, please tell me quickly, tell us the story of you trying to reach out to her yesterday. So the second thing that occurs to me is after like look doing a Google image search looking for this person all over the place, she's the president of this company. In fact, the the Nebraska thing the real they said ISS is ESG policies harm, Nebraska's beef industry. It's the same thing as like they're discriminating against fossil fuels only in Nebraska's discriminating against the beef industry and it's only ISS they name and they say you should divest from from Jen star because you know, whatever I want go to look for is this person real? Every press release actually is a phone number. So I have to do all this searching for her on the internet. I just decided to call. And I call. And someone picked up. And I said, hi, my name is Matt miscarry. I'm with free float media where we do podcasts for tiny. I like represented myself said, you know what I was about? I was like, is this, Miss gotta salahuddin and apologies, if I'm butchering your name, I I've only read it. So I don't know how to say it and she said like who is this? Why are you calling me? And I said well, so we do like ESG related, news and podcasts and stuff and and I know you you have you work for the CCP and you do all this stuff with you know ESG and how it's hurting whatever I'm talking. Oh, we'd love to just talk. We just love to talk and she said, first she said, do you just call? Do you usually just call First? Why did you my email? Is there everywhere on the internet? I've seen that. Yeah, it's everywhere there. First of all, like we're also immediately, just expect them. The media is like this, I didn't realize the media was only supposed to write. Why you put up press releases? Aren't you looking for attention on? You're looking to tell your story or you're looking? Yeah, it's not. Why you put your phone number on the press release. But I do know that that, um, she after saying like why did you call? And I and I said, oh, you know, I saw your email or your phone number everywhere, I did see your email but I thought it'd be easier to just call and and see if you wanted to talk. It would also be great to have you on a podcast or like, just have a conversation about some of these things. And she said, put all your questions in an email. It's I prefer to do this on email, send me an email. Thank you goodbye. Alright, thank you, consider not and then when she hung up go ahead. when I hung up the phone, I realized she never said who she was, you assumed it was she actually never said her name. She just said, who is this? And like this is why I'm not a real journalist, right? Like I'm not a real. I'm surprised. She said, oh, you picking up Why bother then, I reached out, I don't know, but then I reached out to Brian, junis who's supposed to be the analysts on LinkedIn. He actually has a LinkedIn profile and his LinkedIn profile has him at CBR, re the real estate honey, and he's doesn't watch the things, but he doesn't listen anything about The citizenship project. Well, I mean, if you're the head analyst for it and he's quoted in the news like he's in the news, he said, things still on the record for them, give him some credit. So so in fact, they put out a press release that says, they appointed him their head analysts or whatever. But he wrote back on, like I said, hi, apologies for the cold call, but I'm wondering if you're the same Brian units of the CCP and he just wrote back. Yes. And then I wrote him again saying like I'd love to talk to you. I said the same kind of thing like you know, like I I reached out to Michelle who didn't whatever and I haven't heard back. And the only person left is Terry Brent said, who I know is a real, personally not gonna talk to you. But he's definitely not gonna die. There's no way he's gonna reject you. But here's the, what is the point is, there is some point. I'm sorry. Alright, look, they have press releases out everywhere, thousands of dollars everywhere. I saw one on graphic design usa.com There's there. It's on Farm exact.com pharmaceutical executive. There they're writing these op-eds and press releases that everywhere and it's all all of the mentioned. Like an anti ISS thing. They only mention ISS and all of them are about this. Kind of like yes gonna take it down and gotta take the guy to fight this anti Point. Anti-woke of the anti woke movement. I'm increasingly convinced and this is the rabbit hole that you and I went down. I went down at yesterday and you went down is like I'm doing it while you're speaking. I'm still looking around. I'm literally, it's literally like I I feel deeply that there's like, six people who have set up, 30 shell organizations, they all have websites, they all do stuff. We were looking at this group second vote. Yeah. Today they are all about proxy voting but for your conservative values and said of your like liberal values not that anyone's ever voted on a liberal value per se, they all vote for disclosure. This is not, they don't actually say company. Can you change? Because that doesn't work. They say, can you disclose something? Just knows that can make their decision. They need to make So now, ironically, second vote is out there voting for more disclosure about how companies are like doing political donations and stuff like that, the same campaign that the ESG. Well, they're all asking for the same thing. They're all asking for more and more disclosure, that's what they all, which is that? Yeah, but my point is, We are running around in circles about this anti-wolf thing, in the ESG data Community, like the legislating. There's there's like the Attorney General's of a dozen states of push back against it. They're looking to divest from companies that are too woke. What is that movement is actually the new critical race theory in America. Republicans are just saying yes G and using it as a blanket, liberal Boogeyman the same way that you see. Artie is a play. What is your point you promised to point? But the talking points are coming from like three people who have 40 friends and don't exist may or may not have worked anywhere and know anything about anything. They know nothing about anything. They don't list the job, they like even even Brian's Eunice who I look, I I really want these people to join our show on the show. Okay. Wait. Before you get to that, can I want him to join? Can I ask a question? But Brian Judas is ESG experience. He worked with the green Energy company securing investor funding once that's not a issue experience that's not? Yes she experienced. I got I got my chest first of all I you know I in the rabbit hole that I'm also in. You see things like I was on the science Environmental Policy projects page. There's a lot of projects going on in this world. Well, probably what I'm saying it there's a millionaire anything other than just like being upset but they say contrary to frequent attacks. We do not. Receive support from oil tobacco or chemical companies. You know, blah blah blah. Go look at our IRS tax filings. They're open to public inspection. This is the way of saying like we can prove it. Oh I went there. And first of all, they have three million dollars invested in publicly traded Securities. But we don't know which ones, unfortunately, because they're probably all quote-unquote. Whoa, It's all. But second of all that they list that they get donations. But they don't even tell you who the donations are trumpets. This is all like, these are just all tricks on tricks. On tricks, I maybe they're just meant For idiots like us to just run around looking for a loose ends and then we don't get our real jobs on. Like we don't we stop our woke ESG stuff and we just like chase that tail if the goal is To just so much from doing our jobs that we can't get without done. The ESG industry will come crumbling down, right? I mean, msci, standing glass, Lewis. They're all going to come crashing down if we're not active. We know this. Well, that's true, that's definitely. Well, here's the thing, Terry. Bran said, it's very clearly, said himself up in this anti-wolf camp, like he started now at least two organizations that I can find, if not more that are anti-world retirement. But when you go down the rabbit hole, when you go, it's not just retirement. Because when you go down the rabbit hole, like so here is a story from like four days ago, five days ago. Teal. This is in Bloomberg law. Teal backed firm, debuts anti-esg ETF to urge more drilling. We talked about it on the show, it's Vivek rumma Swami's strive capital or whatever. And they launched something called the strive US Energy ETF with the ticker drll drill, right? So Bloomberg law is riding an article. Bloomberg is writing an article about anti-esg ETFs, urging more Drilling. Bloomberg didn't do, first of all. Number one, Peter Thiel is one of these like Terry brands that it's one of the back like you everywhere. Spinning on everywhere, funding all the stuff. Alright, number two, Bloomberg. Did you look at the ETF that you say is an anti ESG ETF urging more drilling? Did you open up one filing from that ETF? Because I did and when you look at how the index is constructed, something like 30% of the index is solar. Wind renewable energy. It is an energy ETF in the US all. You're taking the fun out of this is like a you're taking the fun out of the the war like this is a clickbait war. Like you can't do actual research here, Matt. I mean that's But here's, that's my point. Like, we have these fronts that make the talking points that create a war use, like we've created inside. There's the anti-walk and woke where there's the ESG and that the, like, the, the ESG, get out of my lawn groups. There's the Peter Thiel, Terry, Branstad. And there's the, Larry Fink's Jamie diamonds, right. Like we've created camps. No one's ever met. I want to us. Because no one listens. Because if you, if you do four seconds of research, they're all doing the same exact. I need to cut you off the basement funds. In the same, the proxy voting is the same. You're asking for training. Your invested in your dream was gone for too long. I think you have anxiety or something like that. So let's move on. I I mean I got a deep hole. Here's the big takeaway. And this is what we really need to talk about takeaway. The corporate Upright Citizens. What are they corporate CC? This is the corporate citizenship project, okay? The Chinese, they have an article match that sounds like one of us maybe one of us wrote it just says by Adam. Maybe one of us is Adam. Who's that? Who's that? Adam It's just an atom. That's weird. Here's the article, man. Why does ISS have an all white management team? That's us. That's what we do. That's so there. They're mad because ISS talks a big game on the issue of diversity and yet they haven't all white management team. So Matt, what are we? What are we gonna do about this that they're, they're now parroting our research and talking points. So do you realize that we're we're all saying the same thing. So what are we gonna do? What is this? And what is it all mean? Oh, here's the no, don't Dodge the question. Gary, retell me, who's the CEO of ISS is from Nicaragua. Which he looks like a white guy. My guess is they looked at the pictures and they were like, you're all white say it's not appeared. They do say they appeared to look white so they yeah. He's not. Away. He's like, But they're not even doing it well, but how was it, like, read? What are what is the end game here? We're all. What are we all upset about? I don't even understand anymore. The endgame is vote. That's it. It's policy in votes. It's it's incumbency. That's my problem with the whole thing. These are fronts for incumbency and they're winning the anti-walker better at this than we are. They are very good at separating out like because they're not they didn't do see the difference between them and us. They put out a press release saying ISS is all white and weenie clarification how this woke group can be all whatever. We read the bio of the CEO of ISS and found out. He's from Nicaragua and said, oh, they're not all white. They're mostly white. And that's probably not great, but they're not white, right? There's diversity, there. We did. The next thing which was one second of research. They don't care about the one second of research because they're winning the argument. Okay, that's it to me out like 20 minutes that you think they're winning the argument by what how they winning the argument. Because it exists, they are everywhere and we don't exist. We're probably the only ones the same stick and don't care. There's always been I mean, this is just a Part of the ongoing Cold War political battle that is left versus right, right? Is there anything new here? ESG is just a new CRT. It's the, it's the business World crr. They are winning that war. They're winning that cold war. That's the difference. They, they anti-woke are influencing outcomes. The way that they're doing this, they do have a brick and the woke you are right. They have a brilliant video on one of their obscure websites where they actually go into. They talk to quote unquote, Los Angeles residents, which is code for black people because they only speak to black guys and they asked him if they've ever heard of ESG and they all say no. And then they also asked them. As ESG, does ESG help black people and the black people laugh at them. That that's their. I'm just hold on, I think we got to end on. I'm actually Okay, let's end on that. I so I'm going to sign this off, because you got nothing. No one should get anything out of help. Anyone with us today is this informative, what we, what the hell is is the fight you're fighting is not some giant movement of anti-woke. It is a few backers, and if you use one nanosecond of research, you realize, we're all asking for the same thing. I actually think we should embrace our anti-woke brethren. We are saying, yes, we, there's the right should be more transparency, you wrote the same article we did with you. Well, welcome. You want more transparency as does the entire ESG industry with and guess what, if we make a different decision with the date that we get from that transparency? That's all good. That's, that's the point. That's the original. That's the point. So, welcome to the full. Let's all go get the data together and make our decisions that Damian Raul's, I am at Scotty, we are free float media. This was business pants. I'm going to sign us out by playing the one minute interview from the corporate citizenship Pride project in which The you are going to find out what ESG is by asking people, do you know what ESG is? They all say no and then asking them to comment on the thing that they know nothing about here is that clip from them. Have you ever heard about ESG? I've never heard of PSG? No no. Do you think companies who say they support ESG policies and I think they just want to look good. They're not trying to help the community and those shape on the fashion. What is the deal with the SG? Then I think they're more. So say for the media to think that they're actually doing it companies are in the business of doing one thing bottom line. They want to make money, all I know it sounds like a tax write-off. Maybe not all of the black community. For the text right off and get us to buy all the stuff. That's it. I would laugh, but
