Live. From room 923, is that right at the sustainalytics Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center and Weehawken New Jersey. It's a smells like cider AF. Edition of business pants, Friday featuring are the data Queen. Matt the board sabermetrics correspondent. They call them the BS correspondent and me, I'm your new doctor. I didn't even realize that I'm your doctor, I'm your doctor. I mean, Dr. Damian got I would call me that Dr. Yeah, but I never mind. I never never. This week's episode. Play it bass noises myth busting, and angry cartoonist. Let's get to it. We this is our Friday edition. We do a story of the week. We do a good list of the week and we do an ass. Holy is of the week and if you stick around to the very end, maybe some predictions and winners and all that kind of silly stuff. All right, love it. I know it's gonna get to it. Yeah, you're the we're all time constraints today. Let's do it. Yeah, let's go. Give me. Give me something. Give me a transition. Give me a give me a something, Matt, you want to transition. Here you go. Here's a transition. I don't have breaking news. All right, this was easy for me. This With maybe I do have a little bit of breaking news. Matt, what's, what's the, what's the real company? That kind of like launched our podcast Network? What was the story playing Boeing? Thank you. I won that one. Yeah, it looks like the Boeing story has wrapped. I guess, Matt, I don't know if you saw this but Boeing will pay. 200 million dollars to settle SEC, fraud charges related to two deadly airplane, crashes involving the company's 37 Max aircraft. Of course, that happened back in 2018 all so and this is noteworthy because this is something that we talked about a lot, the company's former CEO, Dennis muilenburg also agreed to a separate one million dollar fine, which is in these stories. Oh yeah, he personally has to pay a fine. Yes. So we can get back to that. That's his insurance. She want to. You want to. How do you want to do this? You want to get into Boeing now or you want me to give you the four stories quickly? No, let's do the four stories and we'll come back because there's always something to talk about with Boeing. I got all these stories. Second show your board of Boeing. If you sit in wreck and you hear me practice speeches and stuff. You're bored as fuk about, yeah, we don't have to, we don't have It too much. In the Boeing I will say this though Dennis muilenburg he's still the CEO and chair of a publicly traded company. Yes, it's a SPAC. But is this guy, what is it? Not a real job company? It's not a real company. Come on backs, aren't real companies. Now, they're not real. Nobody cares about them and they're terrible. Let's move on. The second big story is just a business pants, like this is just a I don't even have a I don't know how to characterize other than like this is like business pants at its finest. The story. It's really they've really this guy I think is a listener and was like just looking to give us something to talk about. Yeah and Matt conspiracy theory is making me actually think about this a little bit but the story is that beyond meat CEO. That's his name is Doug. Ramsey, arrested for biting man's nose, after a college football game. So the CEO at a plant based company is eating people's faces. And they didn't ask them to for that. So just wonderful face eating what? But think if you think about what Beyond meat's mission is, it's really to expand protein of availability. So that's one thing that he's doing. Let me tell you, I want to tell you a quick few things about first, a pop quiz. Does anyone want to guess where Doug Ramsey came from? oh, What brought him to? What an experience, where brought him to Beyond me the darling company. That that I celebrated, I celebrate, I celebrated Beyond me so hard that it became like a kitchen for make a kitchen table essentially like I love beyond meat so much, what say that, again, Ari? I said, Tyson, I was gonna guess Tyson all so I really didn't know this idiot. Who was he live stream? Look at this guy who is is only so far only been suspended by the company. Like, I don't know, this is not an immediate dismissal maybe maybe they're Gathering. Like knows eating facts. I don't know, maybe the guy he bit was delicious. I would fire him just for going to college football games because really it's enough already with this college football, but that's beside the point. Yes, he came from Tyson Foods. His most recent position there was head of retail poultry operations. Yeah. Beyond me, hired, as a CEO, that guy's been a Tyson Foods since 1992. I believe Does beyond me. It's not an actual Meat Company. I don't know what they think. Well, look, Beyond BP didn't BP from British Petroleum. Like Rebrand is beyond petroleum maybe and then they continue to like suck Dino juice out of the ground. Maybe this is the same thing. Well and it's it's also true that you know, knows, while yes it is me. Really human knows it's kind of beyond meat in some way like in the poetic sense. Right? Like it's right. It's that. Yeah. Right. Exactly. It's not traditional meat. So and Matt you had a brilliant point. I think yesterday that maybe this is a maybe this is a plant no pun intended to to play Kate the anti-walk Red meat, eating Republican in the country, right? Just offer that Beyond me. It's okay to eat plant-based food and you still be a man. He was still be a yes. Thumping at a college football game and bit a man's nose off. You want to buy meat, no matter what kind of meat from that guy. Let me find that And let me just briefly tell you that this guy was beyond meat's. He was the highest paid executive last year. Partly due to his huge golden. Hello package, which is about 16 17 million dollars in equity so million dollars and I'm gonna remind you beyond me because maybe you don't remember because you sign this employment agreement in December of 2021. But here's what you said in there, your employment with the company, you meaning, Doug Ramsey, your employment with the company will be at will meaning that either you or the company made terminate your employment at any time or for any reason with or without cause, but here's a cause eating men noises, how about that? No, that's all right, like good. Terminate your employment, can't take this. All right, moving on number three. Big story is a it's really a fall-off to a story we covered last week But it includes some of our favorites. So remember we covered the The Jerk. Robert server suspended by the NBA who was the owner for the Phoenix Suns. It's, it's done. And I think, Matt, you sort of predicted this correctly was that the NBA Just didn't really want to take responsibility but that that, that the world would take responsibility, right? And that's what, essentially, what happened, the players other team owners. Everyone would just like this guy is got to go. He's a clown, he's a jerk. And that's what's happening. He's already saying he's done. He's selling the team. Although, of course in saying this, he blamed the rest of the world for he he's not actually apologetic about anything, he thinks it's, but looking, but if you think about it, we railed on Adam Silver first, because you couldn't understand the disparity between the Donald Sterling Spurgeon this, right? And, and now silver in my mind, looks like a genius because he can say, look, we just find you. We can't help that the world is demanding that you stepped down, and there's so much pressure that you stepped down. That means the league, didn't make him do it. He's doing His anti-woke cancer culture narrative, he can lean into that, that's a couple billion dollars. I just, I do want to say for everybody who is like, at risk of being laid off, just been laid off. Like, did something really creepy and terrible. Maybe you grab the secretary at the office party, whatever you're doing, that's horrible. It's super easy. Now to just be like, cancel culture, And that like wokeness is the reason why I lost my job. That's, you know, we don't have to have personal responsibility for anything. We do you just say that it was the woke mob. That got me. Well, remember, the Ubisoft CEO said, just last week, he blames the current generation of young people harassment suits. Not, he's not blaming them for the sexual harassment. He's blaming them for complaining about the sexual for us if the generation words. So, no, did he did? This is true people. This is right the reason why I bring this up is because the names are listed as favourites to take over the Phoenix Suns. Worse, some of our favorite Bob Iger? Yeah, former CEO, a Disney Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk. So there you go. So we might get you left out. The only diversity candidate, they had the name, somebody who was diverse It's Arturo Moreno. Well notice that I'm not doing what I do with the Denver Broncos and I'm not even asking like, will we find the black owner for this? No, for this? We know that. Yeah, we know that they don't do that. Come on. So that's the third story. And the fourth one, another big one in our world. I mean, this is just like the perfect week for the news director here at business pants. That's you. Yeah. I mean, really, this is like the beautiful week for me and that is that this headline? And we talked about Wednesday, Dilbert. Yes, Dilbert becomes the voice of the ESG opponents. Officially, and we covered this exhaustively. I'm not going to go into detail all the nonsense but I do have a few fun facts about Scott Adams I wanted to tell you before you guys vote. first of all, he has an MBA from Berkeley. That can we start there? I just thought he was a Dopey cartoon of music or the California actually, the actual one in California. Not that the pot smoking on Boston. He has an MBA and still has no idea what ESG is all about and has no clue that he was right. He forward Comics. All I did was meet and baz in our former life who had no idea what he is? She was come on, that's not. You think the police oh no, to be fair, Scott Adams, he got that degree in 1986 so that's back when they used the phone book as a textbook. So I don't know the physical maps then. Here's some other fun confusing facts about Scott Adams. He's now again, he is the voice of the anti ESG movement. He is, he's not literally the figurehead In 2017, he described himself as being left of Bernie Sanders left. Bernie Sanders, he came back around what you know what I believe because Matt and I as Matt and I pointed out all of his Comics, before he started railing against ESG where the most Pro ESG Comics known to woman or man. Yes. Correct. Yeah, yeah. He also was a CEO, Scott Adams was a CEO of briefly of a company called Scott Adams Foods where he he made a deal burrito, which was a vegan microwave burrito again. Proving his credentials, right? Yeah. And proving that he is the perfect spokesperson for the anti ESG movement. Let me just give you the long-winded quote from this madman Scott Adams. He said this And you're not going to enjoy this either. One of you. Here's the quote, the reality is that women are treated differently by Society for exactly the same reason that children and the mentally handicapped are treated already know. Like it don't like, it's just easier this way for everyone. You don't argue with a four year old about why he shouldn't eat candy for dinner. You don't punch immensely handicapped guy. Even if he punches you first and you don't argue when a woman tells you, she's only making 80 cents to your dollar. It's the path of least resistance, you save your energy for more important battles. This people, this is the voice of the anti ESG movement. This is what's happening. This is the, this is your reality. So congratulations. I don't know what reality, I don't know what reality I live in. I'm very confused. Wait, why is it clapping know? Why is everybody? Because this is the they have their this is their one chance to attack Larry Fink and all the ESG pros and, and this is who they pick as their poster child. Anyway, here are your four stories of vote on story of the week, the Boeing case, finally saw the big cease and desist order going against Boeing and Muhlenberg again for for an even tell you. This, they purpose SEC ruling that they purposely withheld information about the airplane's flight control functions from the best occasions. Okay? That's the first story. Second Story beyond meat CEO eating people's faces. The third story. The the racist owner of the sons is out, maybe we're going to get a new CEO in in the fourth series that Dilbert is now the voice of anti-esg. So I don't know how you're going to vote on this one, but those are four stories. It was easy for me actually. Oh, really? Yeah, I didn't really go first. All right. Guys. Well, you know, the nose thing, really. I mean really amused me, but I don't, ya know, and then the basketball. Okay, I'm glad he's stepping down. I don't really care. He's gonna take over, and the dope bird, dude. Come on more confusing than anything. So I'm going with that, really? That's because you are your team, your team data queen. You are analytics Queen. That's you're going with Boeing because it's it's really one of the foundation of our analytics, right? Are he is what the listeners don't know about Ari is she's incredibly selfish and she's yes. I know we're up for some award and I know that you have together a lot better World. Prize say it again. BBL TBL, I better World prize for Best Year. Impact measurement. We've been nominated for this award, right? I'm not, I'm not making this up, right? No, this is real. We got nominated, but believe that. And Is put together no one worried Matt's put together a very nice presentation. And if we don't win, I'm gonna punch everybody that. So we're probably the only ESG person who would, who would admit this, as long as their noses off, I'm not gonna bite, I'm not gonna eat, I'm just punching good. I'm just gonna tell you that Ari is wrong and demons gonna agree with me. The story of the week is 100% wait man bites face. Don't talking. I want to, I want to, I want to promote Matt for a few more seconds. Matt, put together very nice presentation for this award and and the one of the foundations of our analytics that he's presenting for this award, is the center's on the Boeing board, it is okay goober. Steve who was the architect of that board that led to this? He this fraud and death. So I'm just saying that this is why Ari picked it but go but it's super relevant but super relevant. Thank you, thank you. I'm not much of a self promoter. The real story of the week. I'm sorry. Was a man, a man from a vegan Meat Company bites. Another man's nose off. That is the 100% its story of the week and as the tiebreaker, I, of course, Matt is right. And frankly, I'll tell you that. The Dilbert thing is massive and my world, like, one of the most important things that ever happened in this company. Is that is this Dilbert thing. Actually putting the acronym in a popular comic. I mean like I guess, you know, it we won. Yes, she won. But this is just too good. This is just the beyond meat. That guy coming from Tyson. It's just come on, it's too much money. It's got, it was really good. All right, he gets fired. All right here, what are they waiting for? You know, how much money anywhere They're Gonna Save shareholders by just clawing back the ridiculous Equity award, they gave him. So what are they waiting for? I don't understand. All right, moving off. Ari. Bella, Sol goodies of the week, I got you. All right, we're gonna start with Carmen, I feel like I talk about carbon a lot, but the energy sector is huge and there's a lot of noise about this because you know, it costs so much to the carbonize energy sector. Oh, the poor Americans, they're gonna have to pay so much at the pump. So on like this voice, you bought this brand new research from Oxford using. Well I'm I might lose you here for back. Oh man, probably ballistic. Thank you. Transitioning. To a decarbonized Energy System, like doing a fast transition and fast here. It doesn't mean actually fast They mean by like 2050 fast, it would save the world at least 12 trillion dollars. Wow, produce 55% more power, not gonna lie. Our drum roll was a little missed timed right there. It was a little poor. I was trying, she couldn't get to it. 12 trillion dollars, 12 trillion dollars, you know the hurdles to like actually get there is an example like this up front cost. For example, it would take an extra 100 and 140 billion dollars a year to enhance grid capacity. But that would actually save 400 billion dollars and energy costs every year killing me. This, I don't know. Like, I'm with you that this sounds really good. It's killing me that you're yeah. Now you're mentioning the things that they could do that. They're not doing now you're killing me. What do you mean? Right? Well you're saying that like it just seems like a dumb seems so good. It's such an easy decision. Yeah this is what we don't do it. He's already like I just love all of this. Well, the normal way of doing economic analysis, does not use probability. I can't probably ballistic. Oh, is that true? Yeah, modeling. So I didn't know about that, right. But they tested going backwards when new technologies came to the market like wind power and solar power and their method of predicting how much money would save in the long run, it was more accurate than the way economists were doing it and are still doing it now. So Thursday taking on The Economist mob. Can we in yes, G now talk about like The Economist mob. Like there's the woke mob that's supposed to be us. Yeah the one that's out to get us. They're the they're the triple materiality mob. Oh, Well, you know. All right, let's keep that good though. I don't want to don't, I don't want to hear about things. I could be doing. I don't want to hear about roadblocks or well, let's just stay with the main. Theory there. I mean, treat us that decarbonizing the energy sector by 2050 could save the world 12 trillion dollars. Come on really dollars, and doesn't even take into account, like the CO2. The wouldn't be spewed. Yeah. That are you listening Dilbert? Are you literally listening? Listen to what she's saying? All right, if only oil companies, were just identify as clean tech companies. This is a great business plan. All right, so moving on number two, myth busting and I have a couple of headlines for this myth busting theme Here. It goes who is doing the bulk of the flirting at the office. What? Right. There was no shed. I don't know what you're talking about. Well, there is just joined by your hoodie. I don't tell you a study by UC Berkeley finds that men in low power positions are the biggest culprit of workplace Philip flirtation. Oh, don't laugh and power positions, right? Because is stereotypes are usually like, you know, the Woman, who is in the subordinate position, or the male, the man who is in power, right? Because yeah, typically, that's what's in the headlines, right? When Well men who are in power, harass women try to flirt with them, right? Because that does happen. All right. Just yesterday. There's report there's a article about women at Goldman Sachs are assaulted harassed by male bosses for years according to a new lawsuit. So yeah, you're right. That is the popular. Yes, narrative. So what you're saying, is the study found that? It's Kyle. Okay, what are we doing here? Stop. Oh, I'm just saying that, like people in low power positions and like this Behavior over time, like maybe it's been nine most of the time but it can turn into harassment. But right now researchers say that there's a myth, a harassment is exclusive to this high-powered, people Dynamic. So this organizations that were myth busting here MythBusters thing. Thank you. And, by the way, this research comes at a Berkeley, the same place to educated Scott Adams about. He is so, I don't believe it. Stop. That was in the 680. You told me that 16 actually to make me feel good. I don't feel good about that. No, this is like better. Be a better one. Investors do not respond. More negatively to the announcement of black CEO appointments, then to wait, CEO appointments. I know there's a lot of double negative here. Read the headline first. He was appointed. It benefited the company stock. see, now this I feel good about. Case Closed people, when a black beautiful benefits the company stopped. Okay. Case closed because The investors reaction to that appointment announcement. isn't negative good like Oh 2021 paper. That was published said that they supposedly found that you know investors had negative reactions however that paper that was published did not publish their What was the one Hester Peirce used to talk about, right? Yes. So there's actually a myth, there's our there's actually a myth out there that when a black CEO is a pointed it, the market down what? That's a terrible. Racist look dystopia. I don't. What is that? We have to say, though, we have to say I'm either side of this coin, you are talking about a sample size of like, six, right? Like there's you're not exactly talking about a lot of black individuals who have been CEOs of large companies like large cats. So they used S&P 1500 here and I believe it was People so yeah. No not you making me feel depressed again but that and it like when it contradicted directly to that 2021 paper that said that the opposite was true. And I mean yeah that's a good myth to bust though but let's get. These are sad myths that we just like this a little bit. Yeah, right. What's the last thing? He feel good. The US installs record. Solar capacity. This, I like Crisis. There we go. That's it. There we go. And now it's awesome. There we go. Find argue with this. This is just straightforward. That's like the thing that got done. You don't have to say more about it. It actually happens. No, tell me more, though, tell me more, this is how much it got done. So the US Department of energy Berkeley lab, they released its annual analysis of solar energy and they found that Geographic theme going on. Nearly half the generating capacity that the US has right now was installed in 2021. Is that right? So is this now, I don't, this is not political. I don't want to make this no political conversation, but is this a direct result of an Administration change? Or it was, it was already planned to be this year or do, you know? Well, I think a lot of it has to do with the costs, the cost of dropped so much like over. 75%. So, Not right now, or in the last year, it's been cheaper to build and operate a solar plant. It is to fuel an existing natural gas plant. A lot of everything you're sexy this hard. Now, you're not, this is good, this is good. This is all of this, right? Like this date, these data points are before the inflation reduction act, right? What signed, so, and that includes many incentives and tax breaks to like keep solar power going. all right, so so rounding the Roundup is carbon. It is myth busting which you Kyle actually flirts a lot black CEOs. The market doesn't not like them because the only negative and then solar installation actually happened and his massive torn here. This one's easy for me. I'm gonna do for you all go first. I don't want to be swayed by you the I'm throwing out your myth busting because that's just me. And I go, this is just an emotional thing for me already because it's just, it made me. It actually literally made me feel bad, so I'm gonna throw out your myth busting nonsense. I see, typically, I'm like, big on this campaign of like, just proving that, how much money we can save and make by adopting, you know, things like decarbonizing the energy sector. So I do like that first story. But, you know what, I just like, it's fall. It's chilly. I just, I like the idea of actually accomplishing something doing a thing to warm your body temperature up a little bit. Like, you know, this is why I recall leaves because it's cold out. So I'm gonna go with the US installs record. Solar capacity. I just love this. It's like a thing. They did things they did. It love it. That's my vote. That's my vote all. So that is the correct vote in. That is by far the goodest of the week. There's No the thing that happened is because there you are. You, you bust, you busted a myth that it's not only male bosses the harassed, that's terrible. The myth that she busted is it doesn't not, isn't only does it? Let's go. As holy is the week. The great Mountain Wisconsin to the week, all right? Oh you like the other transition? Sounds okay, do all come. They are solely is to the week. I have this ongoing thing where I'm picking one thing, that's the asshole of the week, and then I'm just gonna give you pieces of it and you have to choose the most asshole within it as all of the week is cartoons. I know you're going here because I've been looking at the headlines. I know there are a lot of cartoons, surprisingly our headlines, but I, I'm gonna, I'm gonna run through these quickly. First of all. Damien already talked about Dilbert. It's not Dilbert, that, I don't like, it's Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert and his pretend narrative here are four headlines that came out in the last 24 hours. It's a woke conspiracy to cancel Dilbert. Now, Dilbert is racist. Dilbert owner, blames woke mob after Comics trip. Ousted from 77 newspapers and Dilbert author. Claims woke mob is coming for his comic strip as it is removed from 70 like that I like coming for because pitchforks like on fire. So the Dilbert has been syndicated for. Or 3,000 years, no one has read it in the last 20 and it got killed by Lee Enterprises along with a dozen other comics. They were they've been cutting comics for a long time and this is a dump of comics but Adams insinuated that it's a woke mob and cancel culture and a conspiracy. Yeah, he literally said, I don't know if it's a coincidence. I know there were coming as a things. You would just say you know, it seems like fishy that as soon as I like took on what culture, that blah blah he says all these things here is the woke mob that canceled him okay. Lee Enterprises six white men on the board two white women and one black guy and the executive team is 100% white and 66% male and you'll be happy to know the one of the like women is the head of HR. So just keeping it, keeping it real 82% of donations from employees at Lee Enterprise's went to Republic. Chickens over the last decade. 82%. That's the woke mob coming after you, maybe they cut you because you're not relevant and you're expensive, maybe that's why they cut you. Well, he knows that he's just using this as his, you know, his parachute in order. That's what I hate that's in the asshole and then, yeah, none of the Publications that Say woke mob came after Dilbert. Actually do any research. If you have to go to like the 10th paragraph, to find the thing that says Lee Enterprises has been cutting Comics steadily from, you know, over the last blah blah blah. Like they're burying it because it doesn't fit The Narrative of will cancel and two other things. I want to add here that lie. Enterprise owns newspapers in decidedly non woke errors. This is not like the People Burlington Vermont got mad. This is that's not the narrative here. It's not the story. And secondly, Berkeley California is, local paper. This is a long. This is been a long tradition in newspaper publishing not launchers. The last 10 to 20 years, this is a common cost cutting thing. I hear our newspapers are owned by the Ganon by, you know, that Ganon newspapers, the country and one of the first things they did was cut a lot of our favorite syndicated Comics because they do, they cost a hell of a lot of money. It's just the what newspaper industry has had to do. For Years anyway. So that's my first asshole. The false narrative coming out of Dilbert in the woke mob blah blah. Here's another. Comic related, cartoon related is a good false narrative. Oil Giants are pretending. Okay, here's the headlines. I'll just give you the headline ready? Yeah. Chevron is using Captain Planet and Batman Returns to deflect blame for its climate denial. I'll quote, I read a lot of this this morning. Yeah, I'll quote the 167 pages of briefs filed by Chevron in defensive themselves. In a case, brought by the city of Honolulu In which Chevron argues that they couldn't have misinformed the public about climate change because here are some quotes plaintiff's complaint ties, tries to construct The Narrative that oil and gas companies had some unique knowledge about climate science and withheld it or misrepresented it in some way that impacted policy responses and consumer choices that narrative is false later. They say, climate change has not only been broadly in publicly discussed by scientists, and government officials for more than six decades. The issue of climate change has been extensively, reported to the public in National and Hawaii newspapers and magazines on television shows and documentaries. And in movies, here are some of the sources of environmental information. Yeah, this is Carver. The extensive reporting some of these Source digging, like, Wall Street Journal. I'm thinking New York Times. Extensive know that would be fantastic. Know they? What they what they said, where you could Have gotten your climate change information. Why they could become accessibly confused US National Geographic because you heard this from Batman Returns Captain Planet. The show Frasier Frazier, The West Wing. Well, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air apparently Will Smith has been telling us about climbing punching comedians. He's teaching about climate change. Amazing, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Once had a storyline where they mentioned global warming. The show, Cheers said something about three times every time Norm burped, it was equivalent to like a methane fart from a cow. And Power Rangers. That's just there. I'm not kidding. There are dozens and 167 pages of it around, 70 are quoting. From all of these shows where they mention climate change, or global warming. And usually one of the quotes that I, that, I read that stood out, was the cast of Frasier comes inside and it's unseasonably. Warm in the winter. And they say, thank you for global warming stopped. I'm not kidding. This, this is what the Chevron is using, as a defense for why they couldn't have misled you because you watched Frasier that one time and when it was 80 degrees on a fake television show. Yeah, they said global warming. And that's how you know? Well he's lawyers these lawyers, you know, billing, 600 dollars an hour. I'm happy to name the lawyers here because there's an extensive list of just say though that I hate to like, enter a dose of reality here, but but the sad part is that, this is part of the reason why, you know, the left fears, the the court, the judge stuffing from like, people like Mitch McConnell, Donald Trump is because there are Judges. Now, put in place who have very little experience who have been fast-tracked, to hear these cases, who will agree with this, because they've been put there for this reason to fall for this nonsense. I hate to enter some reality into this but this stuff might work is what I'm trying to say. Hey, it's not about whether or not it works because it's worked for. I must say that. I'm just saying, I'm just saying that they're asking, that's all I'm with you. So that's number two, asshole. Number three, is cartoon. Political villain, anti-woke asshole, narratives. This is the worst story of all time. Yeah. Here's the headline hungry. Migrants were lured with ten dollar McDonald's gift certificate to gain their trust and fly them to Martha's Vineyard lawsuit against Ron. DeSantis says, I'm not going to I'm not going to I'm not even I'm gonna editorialize at the very end. I'm just gonna say there were people walking around outside of Migrant shelters with ten dollar gift certificates for food. They made anyone interested sign a document where the paragraphs about liability and the transportation to Martha's Vineyard weren't translated into Spanish. Even a Texas. Sheriff has opened a criminal investigation on Texas. Sheriff, he's doing this. There's no word, whether they actually got the McDonald's, but fuck that guy. That's, yeah, I'm worse story. This is not like a I mean, it's not a traditional businessman. I did look in the McDonald's. McDonald's has nothing to do with this to be fair. No, of course not. Yeah. Okay, there's no one time. Yeah. I'm just saying like they yeah. They just bought gift certificates and used them. Yeah, they just got they just got everybody else. Who are you mad out here to Santa's? Or I had created the pamphlet, what I'm mad at is. Like, basically, it's cartoon political villains at this point because we are on a race. I see absolute meme driven bottle to get a vote. It is this anti-woke narrative. Bulshit, like, oh, I want to make a political Point by sending some hungry migrants. You kidding me? What planet are you from? And of course, the reporting is that, you know, Donald Trump is jealous because it was a brilliant play by descendants. I already have course, do you want to start this up? Do you? Have a sense of where you want to go in this boat. Yeah, I thought I was really gonna go with Chevron because what the heck? Yeah. Like okay, I do not get my education from Batman Returns. Sorry. well, but yourself, I mean the Martha's Vineyard story is just incomprehensible to me although you know where's McDonald's here, even though they were There are footnote of the whole story, where is their PR person they should be like yeah. McDonald's is committed to helping these people that were, you know, terribly wronged. You know they're currently doing well. You know, they're currently doing already. They're complaining about crime in. Chicago is probably some Long play to get another tax break from the city and from Illinois, I'm just waiting. I think some other game. They're missing a trick though, because they could have put out a release saying, Venezuelan migrants sent to Martha's Vineyard have free McDonald's for life, right? Like and, and that would any stunt like come here. We'll give you a job, you know. They might get a letter from Chicago. They make it a letter from Vivic telling them to stop. You want to get a letter from Vivic? All right, that's your vote. Yes, it is. And this, yeah, I mean, I, I'm gonna respectfully just first of all, I appreciate it. Matt, I appreciate your anger towards Ron DeSantis. I, I I'm giving you a pass on this. I think the McDonald's part let you put this in here because it really does. It's not a story. It was the anti-walk. Okay. All right. That's true. And he has been railing against Corporation, so I guess you can use the Santa as a card to villain but still, yeah, see, you're pushing it. And I gotta tell you, and maybe I would normally vote for DeSantis there. Although, Scott Adams, I mean, you know, Let's not forget that. This is the guy who predicted that if Biden is elected, there's a good chance. You will be dead within the year. Republicans hunted police. I mean this guy is a true asshole. Yeah, but I'm gonna punch directly up this week. This Chevron thing is just gloriously evil and genius. This is just like the beyond meat story. This is cartoonishly idiotic. Yeah, and again, this is not like this is Matt took this directly from a court file filing this, I read it from the filing. I did that little story about something, they might have heard that Chevron Executives might be talking about in The Boardroom. This is from a court filing. Naming sources like Frazier and the Power Rangers as extensive reporting about climate change, and this is an all-time asshole move, right? I mean, all time it is, I mean, it really is all time. So I got a vote and you gonna have to break this time out because that's my Vault, it's hard for me. Yeah, the idiots. Possibly idiocy of Chevron it's hard for me. I am gonna vote, like, come on, like the the right vote for business pants is Chevron because that's an actual news story, but I'm going with the Santa's because fuck that guy, fuck that. Yeah, that's right. He's so wrong this time. All right. Who won? I do agree. Fuck that guy. All right, come on. Let's try to get the hell out of here. We have a few minutes left quickly who won the week. NyQuil. Go ahead yeah wow. Yeah the cooking thing the FDA put a you know warning saying hey don't do this chicken NyQuil thing that's been going on on tiktok and they brought so much attention to the Sleepy chicken. Well thing, I'm glad you bring that up already because quickly I was gonna mention I was as a defense of Chevron gonna mention that so many people now are getting their information from things like tiktok that maybe they're not wrong, maybe America, is that the idiocracy is here and they do get their information from the Power Rangers so that I was gonna add that You know, just in time for the fall when people start feeling sick and go by their Nicole, Nicole. Yeah. Don't drink, NyQuil people just go to bed early. Um, Ah, my vote is an easy one. It's got to be Scott Adams for for bringing ESG into the popular culture and for, for being like having an MBA from a, top school, and still being such a profound idiot. Not to mention that a man who got rich and famous writing the most forward, ESG Pro ESG, Pro corporate governance Pro workers rights Pro, stakeholder capitalism, Comics known to human kind and yet still rails against you. So congratulations, he won my week. Scott out. I was, I had a different winner but I changed it and I changed it because you added a question, mark. Look at the look at you, they're real. They're the, the real winner is actually Tyson Foods. Tell us why. Because clearly they are the source of Macho meet Executives. Like, like, I didn't realize that beyond meat executive come from meat, and That this is how you modify vegan like like meat Alternatives pea proteins or whatever. I think Tyson Foods is probably sitting there being like, not only did we get rid of a man who bit another man and we would have had that problem. But we from like though. No. I mean, the problem they probably could secretly high-fiving about. Yeah, they're the ones who are killing their workers like during covid. Yeah. But Tyson Foods would have had to deal with like the the woke backlash of another thing and now like laughing, because The company he's got to deal with them. I just I think they won I think and I will say to prove her bona fide Independent Credit here is that were the only ones going after Beyond me all the, all the quote unquote, you know, all the like the sustainalytics has and msci and they have their own business Pants shows. Um, there's one called msci, business pants is one called Stanley's business pants and they're not attacking. They're not attacking Beyond me, because they don't dare their wins. That's true. All right, let's wrap with some predictions here. My prediction is Dilbert in the comic. Dilbert forms. A union. Heises to fight it bro, ESG management. Wow, I hope the irony, of course is completely lost, but still, it's gonna be glorious. It's gonna form a union to fight the ESG, the blood sucking ESG management. I have two predictions, I'll start with one, which is already doesn't have a prediction. Yeah, I predict Elon Musk is gonna take over the Phoenix Suns, owner. Oh nice, come in. Come in, you know, the whole Sun, Mars Talking SpaceX. Tell us Space Twitter and climate change, gonna read me humanoids. He's gonna name all the Venus Phoenix X's the famous. Yeah, all right, here's my real prediction. Yeah, I think it's come on the far side Creator. Gary Larson comes out with an anti anti-wolf cartoon In which an elephant says to a giraffe, who has what looks like, Dilbert's head sticking out of his mouth. I know you identify as a lion and I respect that. That's, that's what I think it's gonna happen. All right, that could happen. I'm hoping there's an anti anti-walk backlashing the cartoon Community. That's really what I'm hoping for. Actually, I think all of our predictions could happen this week, frankly. That was business pads. That's Damien Rallis and are the data Queen. I was Matt mascardi, we are free float media. If you like this, I don't know why anybody would but you should you should like do um, come back next week we'll be here every single day.
