Live live. You just impurity. Good start. Live from room, 1020 8. At the Boston. Back Bay Hilton Hotel. It's a Jesse scanland part. 2 edition of business pants Friday. Come on. It's really it's Part. One For Me, featuring Ari the data Queen free flow Hidden Gem. Jesse the money whisper. I like that copy. I didn't write that, but I like it. Yeah. Hidden Gem. It's a lot to live up to and Old Man. Moody muscari I'm everyone's favorite person named Damien Raul's and believe me. I checked on the only Damian Ross in the world, so you're kind of stuck with me being the best of all of them. Best song. Do we have to go with best? On today's Friday, wrap-up show. Wherever after week, we got Twitter. No one looks happy. Kanye. No one. Looks happy. Oh, permanent cups. I love, I love permanent cops. Love a good permanent cup. I love Jesse just for that. She's like basically grabbed my favorite headline of the week, permanent cops and Ari influence scores. She's got some good news about the influence course about the company. Yeah, we actually are a company. We are a legitimate. Right Incorporated, what you call it? Yeah, we're on the books. I very much feel like Jesse is our, is the evidence that we're a real company now. Wow. Tell us why? Because, because this is only the second week, Jesse Scanlan. Yeah. Tell us, they brought me in to legitimize. They were like they have. We're right? And then she was like, I don't want to do. I know a girl? Wait, why are you the money Whisperer? What are your actual credentials, Jesse? I am a CPA, so I feel like that the story dropped the mic, drop the laptop. The audience, every audience loves a good CPA. We really we have a panel of four ones a librarian. One to CPA. I mean, we are the most boring quartet known, but I feel like Ari was an engineer and I was a musician. Yeah, true, yeah. We're that, that's true. That's true. All right, exciting one. Oh, God now. Have you seen Matt's a professional profile pic with the highlights and talking about highlights in my head? There highlights believe frosted tips? No, I never thought of the tips, I did the full bleach, the bottle bleach blonde and like 2003. That was how old your profile pic is. Are you mad or sex? Why is your, how dare you impugn? Mat or sag in that? I do it. Yes, fake glasses on just to make him look a little. Oh, for sure. I just don't wear them ever. I used to wear them all the time but then they broke and I am too. I'm too cheap to get new glasses such. I've rather see fake glasses. Yeah, I'm in the fake losses here. All right, let's you ready for this? Wrap up the week. All right, let's do it. I'm ready. To the week of October 24th 2022. A very depressing week, not just because I'm in Full Long covid, depression, but just because it was, I get to say it was, that's, that's it. I agree with you. Jamie, that's the show. Oh, you and sit show over when go home before we get there. All right, Story the week, Damien goodly, as of the week, the great Ari, the data queen as holy of the week BS correspondent. Matt, Scotty and our new category. I know we did it last week but it's new to me. So I'm gonna pretend like we've never heard before, it exhausting is of the week with the great Jesse scallion. Look a little bit like a scallion. You go is Jesse Kelly in. Can we do that? A little bit? Look a little bit, like a scallion. I'm not even wearing green. I don't know what that means. I don't know what that means. All right, ready for this and empty green tube. Let's get to a story of the week flavor. Yeah. Do it. We're waiting for you. You're the story transition. Me in retransition me in, you need another transition there. Okay. Ah, there are two just so obvious stories of the week, unfortunately. The Twitter Saga appears to be over. I suppose, ah. Yeah, I know. I know you know what this week is like Liz. Trust who. Yeah, let's trust who was right. I think, you know what, I know you're gonna cover this. So, do you want to just do you want to kick the Twitter Story down the down? I'm not gonna really cover it. I'm gonna I'm covering elements but not wait. There's there's some duplication, but not a lot. Okay? From, from our perspective, here's what matters. CEO Tesla, CEO Elon Musk because now I ostensibly the CEO of Twitter. He owns Twitter, he's already kicked out the Twitter CEO, parag agrawal, which you know, We've been kind of sheepishly making fun of Prague since he started. So yeah, another thing that we basically predicted know we, I mean, we've been yes. If we joke about you, your career is fed. My wrong about. that, um, I think that gives us a lot that that may give us a lot more credit. No, I think we deserve the credit on this one. I think we've been jumping on parag. Since the day when he took over, we knew, it was like a puppet wrapped in a milk carton wrapped in a, I don't know where to go with this analogy wrapped in a Kit Kat wrapper, I don't even know. Except that like, it's not like bad news for, for anybody at Twitter. I mean, everybody, Twitter is basically leaving Twitter to go get jobs at other places where they'll make arguably more money and have some respect or they're getting paid out massive sums of money. Yeah, I don't know if that's not, if that's good news, I don't know. Here's the headline, I like the most Twitter staff, react to Elon Musk take over, I am fully expecting him to fire 69% of us on Friday at 4:20 p.m. I mean you can laugh. But this this is this is the way this man operates, so I'm waiting We're like three hours away. Let's see what happens. Yeah, it's good news. I don't know if this is good news. Matt, I don't know if I agree with you. I think there's a lot of probably devastated. Thousands of devastated employees at Twitter, not to mention who name's of hundreds of millions of devastated people that the big Orange. Blowhards gonna be coming back to Twitter? The great Donald Trump do you? Of course, isn't that the whole point of elon's takeover is that he pretends to be completely 100% free speech even though he's already sent a letter to advertisers saying, don't worry. It's not gonna be really free speech, he said no, he said don't worry it nobody wants a hellscape that's what is which? Which is what he's been pretending. It would be right. He pretended that it would be 100% free speech Zone. He's already back pedaling on. I like that he's pretending he's not been on Twitter before it is a hellscape. He is the healthcare he is he's literally Satan of the hellscape. That's the way that works. Number two story, which actually overlaps a little bit with the Twitter story is Kanye West. The yeah. So so essentially I know you guys covered this a little bit last week, but since oh, yeah, then we've learned how to say his name. Now. I don't even care. Yeah, I don't care. How do you tell us? How do you say his name? Other than butthole? Yeah, we were saying okay? Yeah. Kanye know yeah. You know what? He he old. Yeah that's right. Laundry. I didn't really a whole bunch of white people. Anyway, that's the only thing I probably would have gotten. Right? If I was around last week, I just assumed Kanye. Yay is yay. Kanye anyway, who cares? Here's the companies have already dumped him Adidas. Actually Adidas. Congratulations, Adidas. They waffled for like a good German company. Full of white board members, they waffled for a bit on what to do with Kanye, they didn't know what to do. I mean you think they would have been the first to act. You think the way Jeremy the country is very sensitive about anti-Semitism, you think. But the company itself was like, I don't know, you know sneakers what? Wait but we did. This is this a line of shoes that he's actually advertising called deathcon 3. Is that is that like a new shoe line or oh, so you're already in. That was not anti-Semitism, but he's a advertising. I think they were, they we don't know what goes on, we don't know in a product R&D at Adidas and yay, might have been there being like yeah, death crime. Three shoes is what my lines going to be called and overlapping with our selling to the Jews. Overlapping with our show earlier this week celebrity directors. There's only one black director at Adidas which is I'd say relatively shocking for a brand in retail like Adidas. And who was that only? Who was the only black member? It's a celebrity director. Matt Jackson Joyner, Kersey, former Olympic Athlete. Jackie Jackie Joyner. Yeah, so she had a double token or token director. What is that? If you're a black woman celebrity know what level of token are you? Well, she had to be a lesbian to get the triple. She's just I don't know that she's not. So I'm not assuming she's not. I'm pretty sure she's married. Triple A man, I would say. Okay. Maybe maybe it's a cursive. Kersey is a token. Because he married to her, we're killing the yeah. What do You Hear the story the other companies that dumped Kanye, JP Morgan Chase. That seems like a big one tell agency. Why were they together in the first place? Because he had his business, all his business accounts was with JP Morgan, Chase and they, unlike all of the companies, she was in their commercials he like zero by by 2050 JB, Morgan saying. Kanye, get your shit up. I November 21st, they've given him a date. November 21st, what I thought Jamie dimon was not a woke capitalist. What is November 21st by the way? It's so it's three days before Thanksgiving so they want to get this off before Thanksgiving is what they're saying? Yeah, that's their Black Friday sale. It's a sale of accounts to somebody else. No, I like that. Very specific detail. Yeah, go ahead. But why are they discriminating against free speech? I thought that Jamie dimon was not ESG. Not woke capitalism. Oh, he's not against, he's a confusing one. He's on both. He just, I think his whole thing is that he says that some people don't care if a shit, but sometimes I did say that. He kneels sometimes, sometimes he doesn't he's a, he's a Centrist, he's a true Centrist James. Jamie. Yeah. This. All right. This actually, this one I guess is easy to be Centrist on. Anti-Semitism is one of the easy ones. Who else? Twitter Instagram, the realreal FootLocker blah blah blah. Oh but soon be back at Twitter I'm guessing because of elon's takeovers, that's the second story of the week is just all the companies bailing on Kanye. It's a company that he bought, which is parler True. Well, he bought it but Foot Locker was like, in the news for being, you know, the sad story like, oh Nike reduced the amount of sneakers at Foot Locker's, gonna sell. And now Foot Locker has let go of this. Oh yeah. Nobody cares about are your Foot Locker. Hate is beggar, how dare you. Number three, story of the week, is a just an old-fashioned one, but there's a lot of stock market news this week. Yeah. Two things going on one is that there's a pullback from all the big data stocks like, there's tons of news piling on the Glee that Mark Zuckerberg's meta. Empire seems to be crumbling. I don't believe it. First second. I mean, if I invested in the stock market, what's that? It's been crumbling for five years. Yeah, I don't know about that. If I invested in the stock market in Jessie, maybe I should your CPA. Should I invest in the stock market? I don't even know. Do you not? I don't care. I don't know. I don't think I do. I don't really know what's going on. Not a financial advisor, but that's true. We can have the conversation off, okay? We have the conversation but if I was a betting man, which I'm also not, I would think that now would be the time to buy a crap ton of Zuckerberg stock because it's really gone quite low. But anyway that's the big news. Is that all the old fashioned, Big Data Blue Chip stocks are failing. And then the old, the old, the old Jeep blue. Chop chips are rising again, Exxon Chevron reporting, absolute records Exxon, post strongest quarter results and it's 152 year history. Wow! What helps when the OPEC And Russia and instigate Global instability in oil prices, that inflation. Yeah, but can we stop for a moment to address how quickly you were willing to throw all of your morals out the window? Yes. Facebook stock was cheap. You literally just said metuh that if, if I was a Gambling Man, you know, I it's really cheap right now. I buy it. Well maybe I'm maybe it's backlash against Kanye's. Anti-Semitism. Maybe I want to believe in March, I don't know. I mean, leave me alone, I don't know, but I know I don't Embrace Mark Zuckerberg because know what is an anti-semite. I know I should be secretly thrilled. That his Empire is crumbling and they're saying his net worth is already gone from like 1201 is doubting him. Because I just don't get why they're, I don't get why after like three bad months or suddenly doubting this guy? I just I figured out gonna figure it out. You buy figure it out. You do mean, he will remain entrenched in his fake public company that no one can get him off of anyway and then and he still a billionaire 30 times over. That's figure it out. So sure. Figuring it out. That's what he's doing. No I mean he's gonna figure out the Hawaiian island Trace he's gonna future That guy Bells out, it's like I want that bailout package. I want to figure that out. Fourth story the week. I put my stakeholders rule category. Environmental activists. The big week for environmental activists was it tell me I haven't heard anything. I mean this is like maybe their best week ever. I gotta tell you the first little throwing tomato sauce. Yeah, mashed potatoes, first wasted, mashed potatoes, delicious, for some of them are actually you should weigh. Some of them are very are very gluey and I think you should throw those at paintings first. They pelted a Monet with mashed potatoes. I like how they have to say in the headline. They pelted 110 million dollar money. Yeah, why does that have to be the adjectives about that Monet painting? You can't just be a beautiful Monet that they attempted to. In fact, a pastoral picture of nature is what they decided to desecrate. In fact, I'm now talking directly to you all museums and said, if the stupid little note card to tell you who did the painting and win and what, you know, some details, just put a price tag on it. That's all it really matters. Yeah. What are you doing? I don't care who painted this piece. Of shit. I Want To Praise tag. Okay. So Ari first, a pelted Monet with mashed potatoes and then they Van Gogh. What do they do the van? Gogh? Hands to it or something that they glued their. Yeah, that's here's my favorite. The Girl With a Pearl Earring, the Vermeer painting and then Netherlands, climate activists arrested. After gluing his head to the painting. While another poured would appear to be tomato soup and glued himself to a nearby wall. I didn't Glue. All the glue and going on another one. Going to the girl thing. That's just Feel like that would happen in real life to that girl. I mean, are we? Here's the question and this is the question too climate activists. Are we talking about climate change in a meaningful way? Where we're gonna do something about it? Because you glued your head to a painting. Look, there's a, there's a article today, out of the Atlantic called, the climate art vandals are embarrassing, but when you read the article, it makes me think that they're actually, they've achieved their job, which is to get a hell of a lot of press and to get people talking about it. I mean, I well, I know where are already talked about it. Okay. No, they're talking about everything. I don't know. I think about the methods, the gluing The gluing talking about hey how like the conversation. Like there's a lot of ways to make change gluing heads, to things is never really been the way that worked. I don't know. I don't know if I agree with that. I don't think even Greenpeace. Doesn't glue their head to narwhals? That's not what they do. They go out and like protect them. They tie themselves to trees and stuff. At least that has like a interaction with nature. This is like we are gonna sit because these are expensive paintings. Like the celebration of art art is actually sort of one of the ways to talk about climate change. I feel like so and like are you celebrating our issue like cultures and sculptures and it's a celebration of like nature. So you're saying you should be throwing much because it's sculptures and stuff. That's what you're saying. I know I'm saying if you're going to throw a match better Target, Yeah, no. Yes, I'm pretty sure I heard him say that. It makes a better Target glue. Your hand to a JP Morgan. Chase ATM. Why don't you glue your hair into gratitude's face? Maybe that would help? No, I don't, I don't condone. I don't condone gluing. And anyway, let's mashed potatoes, gluey mashed potatoes and I do condone it. And then Let me ask you this before, you vote, if they would have done this on Twitter, would they be banned? Would they could you, can you throw a mashed potatoes on Twitter? Is that free speech? That, that, if you throw them at Elon Musk, then he will hunt you down and ban you, and maybe Dan Schneider. But what he thinks about this free speech is this, is this part of the hellscape, is this part of the heaven scape? What is this? Not a very Centrist position. I don't know. I let's not answer that. Let's answer with the story because so summing up, we've got Twitter Twitter, Kanye, we got um basically oil companies making lots of money on marketing, not a lot of money and then we have environmental activists I don't want to give it to the environmental activists, just want to give it to Elon. All right. Yeah I was gonna say Twitter. You think it's too. Wait, just you think it's Twitter? Twitter is a story. I don't want to give it to Elon, but I don't want to give it to yay. I want to give it to yay. Then I want to. Okay, all right, I'm gonna slow down for a second. Just see you do realize that we're not actually by voting for them. We're not giving them anything, there's no award. There's no money. Not. Well, I was sponsor know. That's gauge our first sponsor. Waiting for more. Yeah. Ours is not monetized, really I'm good with Kanye because I think it's great. Oh, you know, honestly like JP Morgan. They're dropping him know, she's lost her. This is really a Footlocker. All right, so Jesse Twitter, Ari, Kanye, Matt. Basically, you can break the tie here unless you want to go somewhere else. Well, I was actually thinking about like both of those things are sort of immaterial next to the fact, that Exxon and Chevron made the most money they've ever made in the history of ever, that's a big deal, because that Global inflation. Because look, think about the ripple effect of that. The ripple effect of that them announcing those earnings is Strive Asset Management goes out and says, look our energy ETF. You know that focuses on stake or shareholders not stakeholders and yeah, it worked, right? And it has all the narrative of that is what matters. And now they, they can double down on that narrative, even if it's bullshit. Like, it's just bulshit. It's, it's, it's, it's fake. Constraints to dino juice. That to me is the story of the week. Yeah. So you have to pick the story of the week. Please pick environmental activists. So we each pick one, actually. you know, it's been a busy week for for headlines and and the three that really stole the most headlines are the the activists Kanye and Twitter, but I hate to do this, but Just for the sheer volume of stories and the sheer of veracity of storage. And and, you know, we were begging companies to react to the dismantling of Roe versus Wade that had nothing to say, but they quickly have something to say about Kanye, but it just seemed to be this story until the I mean, I know Twitter went final this Friday, although we knew it was coming because there was a date, a deadline set by the judge. So I don't know. I mean we kind of knew that was coming so I got a vote for Kanye. Unfortunately, it's because again I mean I don't I don't know why I'm kind of waiting for the anti-walk to have a statement here because they should be angry at corporations for talking out against Kanye write. This is a clearly an anti, it's a woke decision by these corporations But those same anti-woke also are very pro-israel, right? The pro-israel for. Yeah. From a bizarre. Biblical. Here's my favorite. Yeah I don't know why my favorite thing about that conundrum. Is it the same conundrum that the woke face, right? Like the it's it's we have all these like backwards ideas of what woke and anti-woke is and it turns out the universe isn't binary and making it, binary doesn't work so well. So saying like what corporations are coming down on Kanye and being like Patriots and pro-israel really, your sort of In conflict That's how World the world works. That's the best. Yeah. I, I actually agree with Matt for once. Confusing world. I think that's what you're saying. It's confusing. It's confusing. Yeah. All right. Kanye West. Moving on mostly. Yes, he didn't want to give it to Kanye. Look, there's honestly for once there's really no wrong answer. They're all pretty big stories. Ari Bella's out of this mess. Come on, give us something good. Yeah you know all these big stories have Taking over the new cycle and I had a hard time finding any good news about being outside world. So I brought One. Good news from our company. Yes, that is right. Wait, where's that? Listen, gentle clapping know, they don't know. The news is yeah, pick it up. Major major step in raiding, directors all around the world. Directors of public company. You want to know what the inside of a boardroom is like we can tell you our influence scores are done. That's right, they're done, they're done. Let me elaborate. I mean, that I can tell you, who was the most powerful person for the last, you know, five years. Well, you tell us something. I want to know something. I want one little tidbit something. Well, you can make it up. Listening, I'm not gonna make it up Damien. There are three tidbits that you can choose from that will be part of the good least of the week next week. So these are your options. You give me a seven-day tease, okay, number one, yes. Do you want to know? Ah, the companies where women have a higher percent of influence, then pure company makeup, do you want to know where women actually have influence? I love it. I want that right now. I can tell, you know, which pay chairs have narrowed the CEO pay ratio. Oh, absolutely, that's a great one or do you want to know which no one are crushing their carbon emissions? All of you above, we talked about. I want to know all this. This is, here's the amazing part know. Next week. This is why it's good news. This is why it's good news. Yeah. Have those answers, we build them. We have them on. My vote, is for this one for good list of the week. I don't know about you guys. This is the only story, right? People, are you? I want to say the other goodies thing that are he did not listen here. Which is that we have not like one or two, but multiple multinational asset manager's and investors who are looking at and using this data. Now, that is the good news, that is the good news. We can give you the influence of any individual director on any company in a year. Can I hand over the careers? Can be serious for eight seconds. You know what? if I had had this data while, Painstakingly writing company reports for msci, Etc. I I would have used this stuff daily. I this gives insight into something that you could, you could never really get your hands on you. There was never really a way to explain the board in this way to. So this is from a very nerdy perspective is very highly useful, highly useful. Nerds are. Novelty of it. We've talked a lot about where women have a higher percentage of influence than the actual, you know, membership of the board. I like the page shares that have narrowed the CEO pay region. This is very again, very useful. Very novel information. There is nobody talking about the CEO, pay ratio in this way, I have read 800 articles about, I read about them weekly. I look at so many news stories every week. They don't cover an any meaningful way, other than simply stating the ratio. Yeah, no news agencies Even the Titans over at Bloomberg. They don't have they don't have to figure out a single way to tell a story about this data. And this finally Ari you because I know that Disney is the company that has the highest percentage of female influencer relatives. That's right. Yeah, that's right. Women on the board. Thank you. Susan Arnold for being incredible. Like a very well monster of influence on that board. And I also know like the carbon data, but that one I've never heard. I second it. What do you want to hear Jesse next week? What do you which one are you voting for? That's what I want to hear. I have an article about that today. So I wow. All right, just so everyone knows all of Jesse's segments have been pre-recorded One people to know. All right. Thank you. The influence your scores. Board saber metrics, finally done. So, what is this? What's the next step? You guys analytics Department, what's the next step? Well, we people, yeah, we get people, we have the API where we have, we're putting it all in the cloud. It's all like in a cloud. So next step is people buying it. We're building a platform. We're building what the very purpley sparkly platform, whatever. Let's see, that's on its way, that's what you're in. What decade, what decade are we gonna see that? If we're lucky, yeah, we're lucky. We'll get it in a shade under 2050, Buffett will still be on the board of Berkshire, so it's fine. It's true. Well, seemed his daughter's now, on the board, right? Howard Buffett on the. There's always be a buff, Susan and Howard. Yeah, sure. Okay. Moving on. Thank you. Arias. Holy is the week, that's me, Man. Moody Muskie, come on. Yeah, that's me. Um, I get the, you actually gonna break some news here? No, no. Do we never break the news? All right, as holy is to the week, you've got four options this week, okay, one of which is very personal. The first option is Elon, obviously, and I'm just gonna give you some highlights shows up to his first day of work at a company. He bought on a lark, with the sink. For the Optics to be able to explain this. To me they were describing in the present as a with a bathroom sink. What? Yes analogy I'm not getting here. He then tweeted. I just bought Twitter. Let that sink in That's it. The effort of carrying a sink around just for that joke. He put it down immediately. Like party thing, I thought it was something that everything, but the kitchen sink. Isn't that a state saying that the bathroom? But then, he would have brought in the kitchen saying, first of all, but that's heavy, use, and second of all, everything that but the kid is sink. What does that mean? He brought the kitchen? I don't know. All so I don't know what let that sink in means either though. I don't I that's not the that's not the correct usage of a sink. I don't the whole thing is asinine, he's a child. Here's a quote from the letter. He sent to advertisers quote, I didn't do it. Talking about why you bought Twitter, I didn't do it because it would be easy. I didn't do it to make more money. I did it to try to help Humanity whom I love and I do. So with humility, good Twitter. You know what also helping Humanity looks like. Not spending 44 billion on Twitter, that's what helped me. Looks maybe he's gonna systematically, buy all social media and just run it out of business. Maybe that's why he and yay or talking so much. Also, here's a headline, the 1900 dollar toy Tesla ATV is recalled over safety violations. Yeah, my second favorite headline of the week. Can't talk about that. Yeah. Just like can't even make a joke toy without recalling it. Because the next headline is Tesla confirms Hardware. Recall over model, 3 seat, belt problem. They've recalled everything they've ever made at this point, not to mention stories that 10 out of 11 Highway fatalities automated driving from Tesla, 10 of 11. That's the, I mean, that's a statistic and we have a dealer here, anyway. Yeah, Jesse tell us about your Tesla. No, no, we don't, it's technically my boyfriend because he pays for it. And I told him this week, that, after all of these headlines, wait, I what we just free flow. Yeah, no. We don't though, he's no. Don't technically married and His money. We have no, there's, there's no sharing of money she's EPA. So he's telling me Tell him that well I told him that we have to jump ship but we're only we're not even a year in at this point. So we've got I was like maybe law school turned this thing around. But if he does it over the next two and a half years. We're I can't, I can't do that. Just wait, just tell me when his model Whatever Gets recalled that's that's so are you guys concerned for me? Harness to just the seat belt, just Jesse wear a pair of Connecticut. Right? You live in New England. Yeah, you realize you're now driving around basically, in a red Mega hat. Like that's the symbol. Basically. It's white. It's not red. So still it's racist in March. That's the new symbol. That's what it represents. Now I hate to tell you. It's the Hummer of the 21st century, you know, and I hate Homer's so I I look at, I look at that so I know I'm having an internal conflict over there, bro. Is he a crypto bro? Oh, I don't understand. He's very not a capitalist at all. Like he's very anti all of us. Just but bro. Yeah. Well, he's not wrong. It used to be sexy. He's just years wrong now. You joined our company and now you can't afford it again your second option. As is yay himself. Which um look he changed his name to yay, from Kanye. But I am going to from now, on refused to call him. Yay. Because it sounds, very enthusiastic like, yay. I actually think it should be. It should be pronounced as in, Ye Olde timey thinking about Jews. Like that's it. Should be you a little bit more than thinking about them. Yeah, well, well, I mean, he hasn't gone deathcon 3 on a Jew. So if sociopathy obsessed, but he apologized for being anti-semitic, this is just rounding out his last two weeks, he apologized for being anti-semitic by saying effectively. Yeah, but that old guy is a total r word about Joe Biden, right? Wait what? That's true. I don't I don't know this quote, this is true, he apologized and then like followed his apology with calling Joe Biden and artwork. That was his, that was sequence. Yeah. Okay. I'm glad I have an opened up these articles that's for real, that's That's when you were gone, you missed that. And then he gets dumped by sponsors, including Adidas Adidas, who was founded by actual Nazis? Is that true? That is 100%? Want to hear the proof. Don't listen to thighs. Founded Adidas, they were part of the Nazi party. And then just yesterday, or today goes on a walk unannounced into the Skechers offices. I did like this story with the video camera asking for new sponsorship for them before getting pictures. Yes, Skechers. Before getting escorted out. Yeah. It's like an old folks home. I actually love that first. Do we live in? Like if he's going if he's walking unannounced into the office of a shoe company and saying you should sponsor me clearly we're not talking about a guy who had real billions. It was fake billions like his his net worth is dropped substantially and I'm guessing he's getting margin called and he's he needs that money. Um, so yeah, is your second option, your third option is number three. Small number three, it's very personal to me. It's that kid in class that showed up with RSV cured. This is a real thing blue and now Ebola. So that is a real kid. Yeah, it's a real kid because my kid is now home. Coughing up boogers. Oh no. And thank you American public for thinking. It was a good idea to take masks off like a bunch of fucking morons and Humanity. Stop licking, handrails, and sneezing in each other's faces. Well, we wouldn't have a list. Quad Lemma on her hands. If not for that, I'll tell you this. The local high school in Portland, where I actually went to high school has closed today because of covid 20 up to 20% of students are out currently because of covid. I'm sure that means many more are have already contracted it. So here are your headline. Thank you. Obama. Covid hospitalizations climb again as in other us wave looms, large and Uganda Ebola outbreak Topps 100 cases, 30 deaths, cases, growing in capital. So, all right. So, but still asshole the week here, we still be that kid, that one, kid, that all four and showed up at school anyway, the last option is, is it really simple one? It's the word collapse in this headline. Here channeling, Emma lurking. I like the word collection, she had a whole thing about in battled. Yes, this is the word collapsed. In this headline a year ago. Mark Zuckerberg rebranded, Facebook is meta to bring the metaverse to life. His net worth has since collapsed from 118 billion to 37 billion. Yes, the wrong word. The wrong collapse. It doesn't matter. 37 billion is Totally different from one $118 billion in some way. We have a CPA let's hope that money. Whisper talk, is there, is there really a difference between 118 billion and 37 billion? Is there really a real world difference? I mean I might be a CPA but all of this just goes away. I mean, I don't know what that looks like in real life. I don't even know what a million looks like in real life. Think about this way. If you had, if you had a one billion dollar, a one billion dollar bill, you'd have 37 of them. That's how rich he is, 37 that that's easy to visualize. So thanks for breaking that down. But I Feel and I would just be in my quiet little space. By 3700 Tesla. I'll just keep giving out Tesla's model 3 billion. Yeah, just think about. It's so those are your options, Elon, Yee. That kid in my kids class and the word collapsed to describe Mark Zuckerberg. This is a tough one. Really not that kid. Poor kid. I'm going to go with Elon because oh man the whole thing not too. It's just don't work. He's the worst. It's hard to get. It's like it is a lot like when we covered I think last week or two weeks, two weeks ago, the Washington commanders president. Oh yeah, there's the statement from them. That said, Tanya comma a breast cancer, survivor and then when on to describe how they didn't like sexually, harass people and like covered up and get dirt on other. That is a little bit like, saying I bought Twitter to quote, try and help Humanity, whom I love and I do so with humility, right? Like that's There's an ellipses after that, he says more things after the humility. But just saying, I did it with humility in and of itself, is already. What do you think? Jesse get a vote. Yeah. Absolutely Elon. I do think that the collapse the Mark Zuckerberg had line should be mine because that's exhausting, I think, I think all that, that's just like you're right. But yeah, Elon gets asshole. Yes. Here's my only problem. Is that the it's the of the weak part. I mean, Elon is he's just as holy is of the everything, right? I don't know about the week, but I can't not also vote for him because yeah. I think, when did he turn into a Larry David character though? Like like how dare you? How dare you? He's like, why the party who shows up with billions and so people love Larry David, they love Seinfeld, they love Kirby, they don't love, do they love? I guess if you would write into curb, a character who was a billionaire who showed up to parties and talked about being humble, right? Like that. See, you know what I'm saying? He's like a character. How did you how did you ignore the headlines about his 50 billion dollar? PayPal package? There was a headline this week about that. Yeah, because that's old news, that's a lawsuit brought in 2018 by an investor about the tranches of pay that he got, then that isn't today news. So well to run away or else all the way. It's not a runaway because my vote is for That kid in class, get a vote. And I should veto all of you. All right, let's do exhausting list of the week. Are we ready for exhausting? Yes. Who's ready? Which is perfect Jessie. I'm already exhausted every time. Every time I turn on the music Ari without fail. Just start shaking and she should. Yeah, she's tuned. I can't wait till March Madness, anyway. All right. Come on. Okay. Okay, exhausting and stuff. These are headlines that are just like, oh, really? Like are we serious here? I like your personality already. That thing you just did the really with the eye roll and the head knot. That's my whole existence. That is demons. Okay? So who's the Tesla though? Yeah. Go ahead. You know, it's not my Arie, really? I thought I would feel like slide. Damien, and he will bring it up for every show for the next, you know, I'm actually so he would have never known threw me under. That's true. Actually over. You're only allowed to own Subarus in Maine. So, I was fine, I just see, you're okay don't, it's don't worry about it, you're okay. okay, first headline environment secretary Therese Coffey says, she tackles climate change by using permanent cuffs, One of the best. Seriously. Seriously. She was my favorite ever. Yeah. What do you do in your own life? You know? Right. It's a video, you could watch a clip of it. And she says that she has committed to permanent cups, which who knows? Actually what a permanent cup is, I must reusable, because, that's right. She means her hands. Like, you know, when you do this with your hands or the hose with the waterfall, she does what I hate where she takes a plastic. a plastic bottle and just put it over. Oh, She's talking about like an indestructible, like polycarbon cup that she brings everywhere. That is a mug as in. It will never break down and it will it's a permanent cup. Jesse you, did you read the story? Is she trolling here? She was actually asked this. On a segment. I think it was like breakfast, some breakfast show in the UK and she answered everything. You pay is a butterfly. She was stuttering she, she was trying to figure out how to answer what she does on a personal level as the environment and well, you know, Well, why this is important is because of the same day, the new prime minister Rishi sunak announced that he is not. He's not attending cop 27. He's pulling out was clearly a political move there, but but we do at least have a permanent cups somewhere in the UK balance. Wait, his decision, his office, he cited pressing domestic commitments. Including what the Autumn budget? He's getting new windows at his house or something. Like, what does that mean, what's pressing? I don't know. I mean, he uses Autumn how pretty I like that. I like Auto Budget, but he just don't have one. Is it? Like what? Oh, thank you. Thank you, permanent cup. That's that's that's, that's gonna be permanent. Do lingo on this show? I do like to think of her, like, walking around with like a stone cup from like like 800 BC that that's like her permanent. Yeah. Like literally she's like I said permanent cup and she needs like a small crane to lift it. Maybe she drinks. I like everything. Just in Rome. Yeah, you just tell you that my my absolute. I'm not kidding. You now I I reserve eight more seconds of seriousness. My absolute favorite part of Rome is that there are these public drinking fountains with delicious flowing water everywhere. It's just and I just loved it the greatest thing ever and if you bring up you have to bring up. I know. But still I just I just like how was Rome. The only city that's figured out that this is the way to combat plastic bottles. It's just having what he drink stuff. Yeah safe. Okay. Also exhausting Starbucks is Starbucks. Anti-union or anti-suicide prevention. Headline was a choice. Okay, this is this is what I'm posing to you based on this headline. So why Starbucks cares so much about a little pin? Apparently a barista and buffalo which is one of the Starbucks's that is unionized said he was fired. Yeah. Yep. Said he was fired for wearing a suicide awareness pin that he and fellow Baristas War to support a barista that they used to work with that lost their life by Suicide. Yes, because yeah, it's against dress code but but a lot of under the surface, it's that there have been all of these retaliatory firing made again, Baristas and employees of unionized stores. He one of the Ring leaders. Like it was he an important, was he a leader in the movement? Oh, no slippery, stuff. He was just a briefed on the manager came in and said, you can't wear that pin at the drive against dress code. So he said, I'm not taking it off and got fired. Also, two things. Hey, I'm always amazed at Starbucks, terrible Optics. And to your right there is a, an exhausting Litany of stories like this with Starbucks. She's like, they're bizarre the effort they put into being anti-union. I don't really understand anymore, just right? I I don't know, I think they, at this point, they could embrace it. Get to the bargaining table work. Something out, that is still pro-management, and then they can just get rid of all these stupid stories. But you know what, I know this just seems like Schultz really, really misplaced Like, misplaced place to put your effort. Well, you have to figure out new ways to fire these employees. I guess, I mean, this is a good way. This is a good way. I suppose. Bad uniform pin. I mean, this one's more sad than exhausting. I feel like the permanent cup is like, got his category just saying, I'm just saying it's exhausting because of the Union chat it is. There's a sad element to it, but it's all He just let people. It wasn't like every time a customer came in, they like knelt on the floor, in solidarity with black lives matter and refused to give them coffee, they put a pin on. That was like, probably a quarter size and it was about suicide prevention, which can we say, is uncontroversial? Is there anybody? Who's like, yeah, I feel like you're inhibiting my rights by wearing that pin, that's not exactly taking aside. Well maybe they think it holds the whole new pair. The phrasing of suicide is too woke, the death by Suicide. Maybe it's an anti woke statement. Matt you're thinking of that. No I did not think of that and I take I retract. How about this set? How about that? The world still gets to Revel in Netflix, for its number one. Show about Jeffrey Dahmer. That's still okay to the world still, okay? But the management at Starbucks is cracking down on suicide awareness pins. Now they can't, they can't stop them from watching. Jeffrey Dahmer afterwards, what's next? Okay, ready. I want to be more exhausted. Yeah, yes, yes. He's getting rich off of your electric bill. Oh, I like this who this is not us obviously the CEOs. Obviously the CEOs. That are getting. Larger. Common others, a decline in medium employee pay widening. The pay Gap ratio which Ari is gonna be able to tell us all about and nice. Nice. I'm a guessing she's gonna include some of these utility companies when she utility companies, probably gonna be the worst. Yeah. So and I will say, personally, we've been on a roller coaster over here with our electric bill. It was, yeah, 385 in, July up, to 600 in August? We didn't do. Did you travel? You have a Tesla. Did you plug that? Baby? In Hampshire. No, no, no, no, no crazy travel. We had one party where there was like people in and out of that house with the air on. But like one day, very sad picture over. We don't actually was my 30th birthday. Other than that, we have no friends and a modified Foot Locker box. What do you live in over there? No one. Then I went down to 460 and now it's down to 180. What is this? Jesse. Here's you. Do you do what I do? Just like my previous statement about investing in the stock market, you just don't look at the bill. You just don't pay. That's living denial. Listen, I gotta go check my bill month to month, I wish I could put it on auto pay but it's we pay robs Mom. It's her house and we pay her for the utilities so she gives us. She thinks there's a lot of yes. We think she's gonna scam us so she gives us, this is really detailed breakdown and like us that it warns us that it went up. So she was like, hey, just want to like, you know, here's the bill so you don't think I am charging it. Wow. What is her permanent couple look like, what? It's a Yeti mug, Yeti mug. And Kyle, if Kyle ever asked me for a bill of be, like, leave my house now. Wow, you guys are just throwing you guys throwing around inside her. Name's Kyle, we'd give her whatever she wanted, but she is very has very high integrity. So she wanted us. All right, I wrote on this, I most exhausting of the week. I want to vote. I it's most, it might be most exhausting that Jesse had only one party and exhausting to you. You're 29 years old, you're turning 30. That's the only time you have to get together party. Yeah, you said that you were going to have a party of all of us this summer and now so we'll just saying it, but I didn't say which summer, I just say which one of us, he was waiting for me to get covid because he was, he was afraid. I was gonna stop that. Everybody got covid and sick and I hate Humanity. I might vote is Yeah because um a permanent cup is simultaneously. Like exhausting that we're having that like climate conversation but also fantastic. Come on, that's fantastic. That's a fantastic entire. I hate how infantile it is. I love it. I hate it. I hate this 2022 and we're still doing this. We're still like like I just can't believe how infantile this discussion is that that her reaction to the Prime Minister not attending cop 27. Is that she owns a permanent cop. Well, I will say, like, look and this is serious happening. When we used to go like to client meetings back the mothership at msci and we're doing ESG ratings and people would say I would have portfolio managers. Look at me and say like oh you're just telling us whether or not this company recycled and that's the way we don't care about that and I would have to explain. No, that's not what like climate change and climate change. Risk is it's not like do you recycle and here it is. 2022, that was 10 years. 14 years ago? Yeah, it was in 2022 and the environment Secretary of a country 3 that has said a net zero Target by 2050 and as massive reduction targets is saying that the way she tackles climate change is a permanent cup, we're not that far from the we recycle. So problem solved, are you not to mention? She also said, we just all have to keep thinking about the amount of packaging we endure or food, waste and other elements. Like I mean, we're there driving climate change, not only that. The UK just lost its number one environmental advocate in Prince Charles, because now he's too afraid to talk about it because he he's claiming its political, so there you go. Anyway, so that's your vote. That's my vote. I gotta go. Yeah, I'm gonna easy vote for me only because that were talking about permanent cups. I mean, come on, that's an easy one for me. What do you think? Are you, I don't think your vote matters, but go ahead and vote. Yeah, I mean, cups, that's in Raging. Yeah, that's it. All right, that's fantastic. Let's let's finish this out. Yeah, anyone predictions anyone? I have a prediction. Oh, wait. No. Who won the week? Who won the week? I think we're all thinking around the same. I mine's easy, Prague Prague, our wall, former CEO Twitter. He finally gets out of that mess with the, you know, tens of millions of dollars. Easy one, for me, Prague mine is also a Prague. I just love that he gets funny for being fired under a year. Like, that's great. Jesse guys and the whole whole sea Suite of Twitter and their padded pockets. Right? You guys missed the real winner. The real winner is the number 69 and the number 420. I covered that already. Yeah, but that's the winner of the week because this is the week of their coming out party, where literally I don't every day on this platform. All anyone's gonna want to talk about a 69 and 420. It's basically that those numbers won the week predictions. I have one I don't, I don't think Ari and Jesse do. I don't my prediction is yay, gets his next sponsorship from Chick-fil-A and they mark it as Chick-fil-A. That's my I like that one. Actually they're gonna they're gonna be a good sandwich. Kanye might be a good match for Chick-fil-A frankly. That's why it's like you guys want to hate the Jews. I mean it's a great that's what I'm saying everybody wins here everyone wins mine Campbell's. Soup is criticized for being tone deaf when they create an honorary climate change poop, soup brand like climate change poop soup. I don't, I don't understand it either, I don't know and they get black from the duck. The diarrhea, diarrhea awareness, pin group. Gives them A Flock to that. It was your thing. You understand it either. That's all we got. We are free float media, somewhere something you haven't subscribed or share or rated do that thing. We'll be back on Monday. A sensibly with actual news from the actual World until then goodbye.
