Hey. Oh well. Live from your ESG sock drawer. It's a locator Wednesday spectacular here at the State Street yarn Factory. let's, Join as always by our BS correspondent Matt McCarty. I'm that cough. Drop you find in your pocket that you can't open because it's been through like 17 wrench Cycles. You know? It's like I hate that. You still use it though, right? I do yeah. I'm cheap and today's Nobody loves ESG. Like we love ESG sent to nuggets called November 9th. 2022 of bsno update. I'll explain that later. A visit from her. Charleston are very ESG, Tucker. And a word from our sponsor, Matt. I love having a sponsor. Today's episode is sponsored by skde. Your ESG data solution at the end of the show, my we're going to play Paul Hodgson. We're gonna play the rest of his piece on the top 10 greenhouse gas emissions from us companies. That's awesome. I love it. Thank you. S gauge moving on. All right, let's get to it. Let's do it. It's a Wednesday. I'm calling this one woke data board, sabermetrics Loose Ends. Okay. That's why. Why? Because we, we focus on the people. We focus a lot on the G and the ESG. So let's talk about some NEOS today. All right, let's do that. That sounds boring. Let's make it interesting. Someone who are sick of. I don't care this, I gather the news, I I report. But again, this is all, like a really like, Sly way of telling our listeners, that they should be customers of ours because We focus on the people. Yeah. It's very Sly. No one's like come on. Yeah. This first story, I'm calling this must be the next CEO of Twitter. Oh, but Before I get to that. Here's a few things you missed over the past two days, and I'm talking directly to the Tesla board because you're sure. Yeah, your share price continues to fall so yeah, I mean, I should address you. Yeah. Let's talk about Tesla first. Okay. A Tesla Tesla recalls. Another 40,000 cars this time. Over power. Steal it power steering. 17 steering 17 recent 2022 already covering 3 million cars 17 already. Don't it, don't you? Kind of wish they had a CEO who is like, making sure that stuff actually worked back to your Tesla CEO. Here's what he's been doing over the past few days. First, he wistfully Shared a meme on Twitter with an image of a Nazi Soldier carrying messenger pigeons so you're Tesla board. Your CEO is literally tweeting pictures of Nazis not doing a disturbing uptick and anti-Semitism has sort of captured the popular culture culture captured journalists and sports fans and the ADL everybody. So this is what he's doing your CEO who again Dorsey not a controlled company. I know that according to boards, one vote, once you're one vote. But I know according to us Sports ever metrics. He controls over 60% of the influence on the board but still you can vote him off still. You can like investors can still follow this literally. I mean he's he was telling people on the the social media Network that shall not be named to vote. Republican for balance. Thank you. And did he say that about like local elections? Did you say like, oh well, Republicans own most of the governorships and a lot of statehouses you should vote out all the Republicans in the state houses. So that it's balanced. That's a nice tease to yesterday's huge elections here in the United States. Except it really isn't a tease because we don't have anything to say about it because we're not all. But I do have this map. I don't know if you remember this, you probably don't in April Elon Musk tweeted. This is when he was courting the world to buy Twitter because he was the singular choice to buy Twitter member. He was killer, he was kissing all of our butts. He literally tweeted this map and April 28th. Quote. For Twitter to deserve public trust, it must be politically neutral. That's just he was just censoring the things coming out of your mouth. Okay. All right, onto the real story. His name is Shriram Krishnan. I apologize to everybody for that something. He is. Here's the headline. The indian-american helping Elon Musk run Twitter? Matt again. I mean, this is, this is our core messaging here at business pins. I mean, we predict the world look. But the worst part about this is not only were, we are we right every single time? Yeah, but we know without having said it, maybe as specifically that these are Puppets. Were using, IF let's be honest, we're using Indians using South Asian CEOs as a means for the white founder chair. To control the company without looking, like control about this. I feel Even even saw in Adela Microsoft. Have you think that Bill Gates the white founder chair? Still has a lot of influence there was on the board up until like three years ago but he's going it right now, we've gone. I think now the transition is actually happened, but Jack Dorsey was on the board of Prague and then like, did anybody think Prague was like the CEO, not even the employees treated progress like to see, no one should him with respect for us. So, so I mean, I think the, I think the pattern is real, but what I'm afraid of is this is a version of CEO, tokenism, like diversity tokenism. We saw it was. Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. Yeah, this is what we've talked about a lot, right? It's like you they refuse a commit to a woman, a woman, right? Refused to commit to under other underrepresented groups here in America that need representation like like black people, Latinos Latinas. So they go with this, okay? Anyway that's hey, I think that is gonna be, just not like, oh well, they will have replaced the CEO of Twitter, a South Asian CEO of Twitter with the South Asian CEO of Twitter. It would be the first replacement theory that is actually a replacement replacement Theory. I like this. Yeah, that might be the proof though, that it's a real thing, right? It's it is, yeah. Oh, let's get to a CEO apology, Matt, we don't get these a lot and you know who it came from. It came from Zuck, it came from oh we can't call this a apology. Hey stop. This is exciting to us. Like when we first started our show, we used to have a slew of CEO apologies, but then they caught they kind of caught on. They're like, wait. We don't tell the carnival for anything, so what I want to support, but Mark, did it? I'm gonna give credit to mark. Why did he apologize? Because he just laid off. 13% of his company 11,000 people. Let's, let's look more people that live in my mom's little town. That's a lot of people. It's a lot of people 11,000 people and he said, I know this is tough for everyone and I'm a specialty. Sorry. To those impacted. he also said, he said at the start of covid, he's basically blame covid for the shift to The Meta world, right? He blamed covid and he thought that this was the the natural progression of the business world. So we made this huge investment into the, into the metaverse into meta platforms. Change the companies names and he said he got it wrong. He said, unfortunately, this did not play out the way I expected. I got this wrong and I take responsibility for that. Hey, Yeah. Go ahead. I think I think this is actually something I think this. Do you do you know why it's easy for Mark Zuckerberg to say that to his employees? Because he is the the eye that rules the world. He has no ability structure. He owns over 50% of the vote. It is a fake, public company. No one in fact, we saw a business inside her Headline last week that said, this is by Mark Zuckerberg can't be fired, right? Like it's like people just woke up and realized, oh, you know what? It doesn't matter what he said, he could have written in that letter. You dear valued employee you suck and that's why you're getting cut. Goodbye signed Mark and what difference would it make? Would anything change what that letter was was an excellent letter for advertisers to read? That's what that letter was. I will tell you this, unlike the share price at Twitter, Matt is share price went up. So, maybe having a reasonable CEO is not the worst thing. All I'm saying is that the firing letter at Twitter was you're getting shit. Canned, don't come in tomorrow. Yeah, and the firing letter at meta. Is we love you? We value your talented. I made the wrong. Call on this. We're reversing that. Who is he writing that for? He's writing that and and the memo leaked like six seconds after it was sent. It's written for everybody to read to make him look sympathetic as a literal dictator at disagree here. He could have said we he chose. I I give him credit for that. He is the company. Yeah, he is. And usually it's all like we we blah blah, blah and and secondly, Matt, when Elon fired all his people and what that letter he didn't even sign his name, he didn't even put his name on the left. Is he probably dictated it to Siri, right? But I I think Mark is more of a man is all more of a human mother like it. All right? And finally here's the real story. I always serious year, I only did that other stories because I just wanted to sound like we care and that were on top of things. But here's the real story from a business pants perspective. This is the stuff we actually care about. Just here's, I'm gonna call this the anti-walk executive hero of the week. Oh, we have of the week now, that's a lot because all you anti woke people, the Vic's you should be proud of. This is the kind of guy. You probably want leading your companies because you shouldn't let the ESG world have a say in things. You shouldn't let them talk about your existing. No outrageous is a business decision. We're about this all business. So here's the headline, Tyson Foods CFO now business CFO? Yeah. John Tyson was arrested in Arkansas. Yeah, that's right. Arrested after allegedly, becoming intoxicated and falling asleep in the bed of a woman who didn't know him. Here's the story. He went to see. He went to the wrong house. And can you believe this is Tyson Food once again? I mean, I know you can believe it but here we go. John Tyson. Yeah, charged with public intoxication and Criminal Trespass. After a woman of college age, who didn't know him found him asleep in her bed around 2 a.m. Yeah, it's awkward. When police tried to wake him up. He said he sat up. This is the CFO of Tyson, but was unable to verbally respond, and then tried to go back to sleep. The police report called him sluggish and uncoordinated, which Matt, this is all the board set about him when they were picking a new CFO last month. But since Tyson is run by a controlling family, it didn't matter. Ah, did this mean that the Tyson executive tree for poaching? Is the best executive tree in the entire corporate world. Right now, let's talk about that tree. Tyson is a fourth generation member of the Tyson family. His daddy, John is the currently the chair of Tyson and all the former CEO, Matt, I think you forgot this. We talked about this before the arrested CFO. John John, H Tyson, he was formerly the chief sustainability officer. Oh my God. That's amazing. Yeah, that is that's literally the greatest thing I've ever heard and between that and the beyond meat X Tyson guy. Yeah, the company is a known according to the article Walter Journal. I believe the company is known for tapping members of the Tyson family to lead in his largely by the family and Matt now they are known for being sluggish and uncoordinated. A representative for Tyson said, it was aware of the incident but has no additional comment because it is a personal matter. I mean, what it is, it's what kind of excuse is that? I mean, yeah, the A person. The person is your CFO. That's you're right. I mean, it's a, it's a personal matter. He personally was in the wrong bed of the wrong, okay? But he was drunk, is the CFO of a publicly traded company. Now, watch this, if if the beyond meat precedent stands Tyson's going to release 11% of their Workforce including the CFO. As part, but it's really all, just everyone else is getting fired so that they can fire him without fire family member. That's true, he's just gonna be giving a seat on the board. The CFO said that his conduct was inconsistent, with my personal value, the companies value, I dealt that and the high expectations we hold for each other. I mean, a serious mistake and this has caused me to reflect deeply on the impact. My actions can have on others. So what are his values? You think Matt. Are they actually being happy and coordinated as a sluggish uncoordinated, but being sober or how about the sleep, how about falling asleep in beds of women have retirement age at 2 p.m. is that is actual value. What what the audience just clap because you set them up to think about that was a real apology with that Zuckerberg piece that you already did. That's not a real apology anymore than the Zuckerberg piece. He's part of a controlling family, he's not gonna lose his job. And if you lose, if he, if he steps down for personal reasons, those personal reasons, being I slept in the bed of a college-age student at 2 a.m. because I was drunk and I didn't know where I was, then he's gonna keep all of his options. He owns he's a part of the family, he gets paid down anywhere he's going anywhere. This is ridiculous. I just want what I want is for him to be made like his Penance should be to be made the head of sustainability again that should be Forever, that's permanent. And as Matt has alluded to, it's not forget the former Tyson Foods executive Doug Ramsey was was fired from beyond meat. Two months ago after he was arrested for third degree battery and terroristic threatening after biting a man's nose. And I know you all people think we're crazy. You think what are they doing? Like, this is not how ESG works like. This is like they're they're making a mockery of our very serious institution, people go to the profile of your whatever. ESG provider, you use whatever ESG data provider, if you use msci, go to the Tyson Foods profile, search for John. I h Tyson he's in there. He's the CFO, he's, we're allowed to do this is what I'm saying. We're allowed, not only that go to your favorite provider, right up and see, which one of them wrote about an executive sleeping in the bed of a college-age student, at two in the morning, drunk or an executive, who bit the nose off, a man at a football game and wondered to yourself. This feels a little material that guy, both of them. Had a serious amount of these companies and access to all of their financials. The decision making that they have in one instance. Maybe she should be reflective of issues with decision making with stuff like all the companies books. Things like that. That's all I gotta say. That's well, at least now, the rest of the public market has learned don't hire Executives from Tyson Foods, just I don't know, I said don't motion? Father sustainability. I'm very excited for that. Moving on, what do we got Coke or Charles Olson? Oh yes, we do have cucker Charleson so This week Tucker says, in another. I don't get it right. Is cawker, Carlson look, I'll admit. Every week when I hear him, he sounds eerily like, me reading stuff. I wouldn't normally say, but I can sell you. These are just recordings that appear on my computer after I sit in front of the microphone and script it out. Did you go from glass Lewis or something? Where'd you come from? What you really your class? Lewis obsessed. I just like saying glass Lewis. It's a cool name. I I don't like like ISS msci S&P. I like I like glass Lewis. Some more breakable than the others Lewis. Yeah, it's a little more precious. All right, here's Tucker Carlson and actually this week he's talking a lot about cop emissions cop 27. Is that it was okay, okay. What the woke liberals don't want to admit to you is that all of their efforts are about keeping their power at the expense of you, the American citizen. I'm Tucker Carlson. This is. Are you terrified? Right now, the climate alarmist Elites are gathering at cop 27 in the shadow of the repressive regime in Egypt to discuss how climate change must be stopped. These are the same people who would tell you that changes good, if it means teaching your kids about the right pronouns to use. And they want you to believe that change for the climate is somehow bad. Why here's a statistic for you, is it a coincidence that cop 27? The climate Conference held by the leftist? UN was scheduled for the same week as the US election? And at that conference, the 27th time, the UN is flown the global Elites into some City to discuss how they're going to kill American jobs Al Gore. The Godfather of the woke climate alarmist gave a fiery speech about the need to reduce Global emissions. This is the same Al Gore who likely flew to the conference from his woke capitalist asset manager, generation Investment Management. After his woke, corporate board meeting with the apple board of directors. Else sits with Al on the apple board know a woman. A woman named Susan Wagner. And Wagner is the co-founder with Larry Fink the woke capitalist firm. BlackRock. Oh, Come Who currently uses more than 7 trillion dollars of your money to push liberal ideologies on corporations and we know this because of data data, the Liberals don't want you to have using a new non-partisan data set from board saber metrics. We found connections between the wok Elites to uncover just how deeply embedded they are in corporate and political power. Take this read Hastings, the founder of Netflix and a massive Democratic backer sits on the Netflix board with a woman named Anne Sweeney and Sweeney was an executive at what is now, the woke poster. Child Disney. Oh, for more than a decade. Under Bob Iger, who sits on the board of Apple with Al Gore and Larry Fink's. Best friend, Susan Wagner liberal, Elite power, runs deep and wide, and it's designed to do one thing. Stop you. Because here's the real truth. They don't want you to know in my opinion. Emissions. Save jobs. Think about it every time. Liberals, gather at a socialist un conference to talk about stopping the climate. What they're stopping is American jobs, right? American citizens. Drill the oil refine it and put it in the plane so they can fly to their conferences, American citizens, pilot the planes to get them to their conferences, on time, and American citizens, drive them in an Uber and give them free, plastic water bottles on the way to discussing how to stop air, pollution and plastic pollution. Alarm is climate change. Activists liberal Hypocrites aren't trying to stop climate change. They're the biggest reason for it. Here's a headline from just today. Billionaires emit a million times more greenhouse gases than the average person. Know activists liberals just want to stop you from having a job so that you go vote for social welfare programs and elect more liberals. So as a result of this election come in, and you see more entitlement programs that limit the choice of American citizens, in the name of change, ask yourself. Are you terrified yet? I gotta tell you. I'm not saying it's you who writes these and performs but they're they're uh, they do sound a little bit like you all. Just right. I have to say these are just This is like the highest level of Genius. We have to offer these below my mind. I almost like I kind of fall into his into his web of conceit and Intrigue. I I he's got a lot of interesting points there proven that up and use board saber metrics from all directions. I mean, because these kids, he made her are actually kind of fascinated and they're real actually, because we made board saber metrics, I went and looked it up afterwards. First of all, I don't know how he's a client because we're not getting any money. He's still live from a different client like so I don't know his money, I don't know about that, but but I went and looked it up. I fact, checked those points and those connections are all true. They're all accurate. So, that makes me a little. Well, proud. You know, the let's go back to the the most fascinating thing. I think about Block rock like, as of now, is that both the left and right kind of love attacking it, right? Yeah. Oh yeah. So I sums it up. On beautifully. He I don't know. I I'm just I'm impressed. I'm impressed as much as I hate him and hate all of his reports. I'm impressed. I did, I was a little upset with one thing because he said at one point, like here's the statistic for you and then he gave no statistic. He actually just said, cop, 27 is like happening or something. Like it was 27, just the number in there. I suppose, that's true. Let's get on to escape. Oh yeah, so our sponsor to show skauge, this is a report, Matt. I don't know if you remember from last week, Paul, Hodgson top 10. Greenhouse gas, emitters from us companies. This is the end of that report. The end of that report. All right, let's listen to us to say, shall we? Hello there pulled some here from skate. The statistic of the week this week that as Gage has sent me the top 10. Greenhouse gas emissions. Companies in the country we got some details on their total greenhouse gas emissions. Their scope one emissions and their scope. Two emissions note. This scope three emissions because nobody's discloses that at the moment, although if the SEC has his way they sure will soon. Next one online Chevron again, not really much of a surprise 59 million metric tons last year. Next era energy. Just in case you don't know, it's a utility company. A power generator. They generated emitted. Sorry, 43. Million metric tons. And then the next one is another utility which describes itself as independent power and renewable, electricity generation. Obviously there's quite a lot of non-renewable electricity generation going on here too because they emitted last year 41.5 million metric tons. Sorry. That was the AES Corporation. I realized how hadn't told you who that was. And we have Excel Energy and now the utility 40.2 million Marathon petroleum. Oh look, another Gas Company. 39.9 million metric. Tons annually. Dow. Down chemical, 37.9, million metric, tons. And finally, another utility entity Corporation, 35.6 million metric tons. If I added those up, it's still wouldn't come to the amount of greenhouse gas emissions that the US emitted, but we're doing about 10 companies here compared to an entire country. So you wouldn't really expect it to So we're talking about five, utilities five, utility companies power generators, basically two chemical companies, it's Dow and Linda and three energy companies, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, and Marathon petroleum. So I guess we know who's to blame. This is Paul Hodgson signing off with s gauge statistic of the week and over to you. Damian and Matt, I like that he ends by blaming. Someone is straight up like that. Now, you know who screwed up and you should hate look at the most. I'm not the most clever person in the world, but I I think what he's trying to do there is tell you, the Escape has a lot of data, is always trying to do. I'm pretty sure because you appear to have a bunch of days, go by their data. Come on, yes, support our sponsors because they support us. That's what you should do. Well, so yeah, he's mentioned Marathon. There isn't marathon where Greg Goff the environmental exam board anyway so that is too Woke Up. This woke data. I don't like that. That's Damien role is, I'm Matt Scotty, thank you to escape for sponsoring the show and thank you to you for listening to the show. We know you don't exist but I'm going to thank you as if you did goodbye until Tomorrow, that is all.
