Mmm, okay. It's working. It kinda works every time. Every the music, everything. Live from the bottom of an ESG themed trash can that nobody is stealing or getting fired for. Sometime. It's working now. Nobody wants that. It's a business pants Friday show here at June twenty-sixth studios featuring analyst hole, Matt Muscardi. Hey there's no New York City trash cans in my office. On today's weekly wrap up, the summer of JP Morgan. Paying workers more might give them more money and a CEO speed round, yeah. What what where? How? Yeah, yeah. K the CEO's speed round is quite the speed round too. Well, you know, sometimes our analysts get busy th and our writers get busy with other things, so they just do speed rounds. I like a speed round. hopefully it's actually speedy. We don't do speed well. We don't do a lot of speed. No, especially my top stories. Our show today is being sponsored by Free Flow to Analytics and Freeflowanalytics dot com. Yeah, the only platform measuring board power connections and performance for free. I mean look I now have daily access I have d I just gonna say the same thing. I've daily access to the new new platform. There's a lot more we can add to that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They need to update that copy. my god, there's so much on there. so they told me that the beta access has been handed out to a few people. You're starting to get like feedback and stuff like that. I don't know what the feedback could be except g give me more is so much stuff that's so interesting. I just want more. I mean like liter that would be nice, but that's not I'm not hearing that feedback yet. How about how about I'll give you money for more? But like the the podcast when we finish this podcast and put it up, it's gonna immediately appear on the front page. It's gonna be tagged with all the companies we talk about. So you can actually go look at all the data, the companies that we're talking about. The zine is right there. You can send it to your friends. It's the all the news is is live. It's happening live. It's amazing. It's amazing. Anyway, No, it's it's impressive. And you know me, I hate doling out compliments, but it's impressive. You hate everything though, so that's just in keeping. All right, let's talk about toasts. Next next up, top stories. I like toast. Come on, let's go. Da da da da toast toast toast. Alright. Start from the top. my god, bring the energy. I know. This hopefully this won't take too long. It's not my fault. JP Morgan's Big Newsweek. That's the top story. First top story. It kind of starts with this headline, and then I'll sort of try to break it all down. the headline is this is from the Wall Street. This is from the Wall Street Journal of all places. The Lurid lawsuit, salami scandal, and trash can thief vexing JP Morgan's PR department. They were in the news a lot, yeah. Yeah. Alright, so let's start with the trash can. now I don't I don't know if I care about the salami scandal. okay, I'll I I can I can tell you about that. first of all, congratulations to the the the right wing press. this is a gift for them because here's the headline JP Morgan DEI executive fired. after viral Nick's parade video. So Angie Baez. Whoa, not the salami scandal. I didn't even know that one. That's the one I'm most interested in. An executive director of community and in in industry engagement at the bank. I guess that's D is that DEI if community is involved? I don't. So I mean banks are not supposed to engage their stakeholders and customers. Is that a DEI thing? She's a person of color. That's sh that's what sh that's the DEI. I don't all right. Everyone knows this story already. you know, Nick's fans were understandably happy. I mean, look, I'm Is that DEI communities the DEI? Wha I none of those words are diversity or even inclusion. Overjoyed. I'm a Celtics fan, so I laugh at Knicks fans. But but they won something for the first time in my lifetime, so great. And you know, fans do what fans do. They're called fans because it's short for fanatics, and you know, they often take memorabilia. I so I yeah, they went a little nuts. But I mean, let's be honest. She took a trash can that was painted orange and blue, and it's so bad. Yeah. Awesome. They went a little nuts, yeah. But not only a couple of them went nuts. Everybody it was like joyous dancing in the street. That the city fined her a hundred and seventy five dollars. That's how bad this is, right? Be because there are other there are other videos of of Knicks fans like beating people up, setting fires, like I you know, so it's not she just took a piece of memorabilia. The point being, JP Morgan immediately fired her. Yeah, go ahead. You know, I just G can I just say, actually, a parking ticket in New York City cost a hundred and eighty dollars. She got fined less than a parking ticket. Okay, so this is w this is less. Yeah, on the first night in fifty years where she could celebrate her team and and let's not forget that James Dolan, Madison Square Garden, they sell a lot of alcohol. So they're like they're like liquoring these people up anyway. And all around Madison Square Garden is bars. That's not the point. The point is JP Morgan. Yeah. Let's get to JP Morgan. Okay, JP Morgan, the the these Wall Street bankers, they're going snorting coke off of hookers in in like, you know what? Come on. So let's talk about it. I that's that's that was my point. So they JP Morgan Morgan immediately fired her. Now I'm just gonna give you two examples of of recent JP Morgan scandals where people weren't fired. So the first is a doozy. In 2023, JP Morgan Chase agreed to a $290 million settlement. That's over one that's like 1.7 million times bigger than her fine. Okay. To resolve a class action lawsuit from survivors of Jeffrey Epstein. no. Can we actually it's a Yeah. Well no, let me let me I want to tell you tell you the story quickly. The bank was accused of actively ignoring glaring red flags and helping bankroll Epstein's sex trafficking operation for fifteen years. Now, specifically who kept their job? Mary Airdos, the head of asset and wealth management, was fully aware of Epstein's status as a high risk sex offender, reviewed his account, and was directly implicated in internal communications regarding his status. She faced zero professional demotions and And still to this day is talked about as one of the potential successors to be CEO of JP Morgan. So there you go, you know, so I don't need to go much beyond that story really. No, I don't want to waste time. Come on. D like can yeah, you don't really, but but I I actually I'm a l I feel a I don't know why, but I feel more sad that it was only one point seven million trash cans trash cans worth of of damage. Times greater. Yeah. Well maybe this one makes you feel better. In twenty twenty, JP Morgan Chase entered a deferred prosecution prosecution agreement and agreed to pay a record nine hundred and twenty million dollars. That's five point three million t trash cans. To settle federal charges of market manipulation. How about that one? This that's a lot more trash cans. Ooh, that one's sexy and salacious. This was when traders were engaged in spoofing, meaning placing tens of thousands of fake deceptive orders to artificially move market prices, maximize their own profits. blah blah blah while the traders themselves were let go, none of the people overseeing them, none of the processes in place that should have been overseeing them suffered any kind of no one was fired, no board members lost their job. Nothing, nothing, nothing happened. So a brown woman in a fit of joy takes a trash can and returns it. D takes the trash can, returns it, because she gave it back. She gave the trash can back. She didn't even keep it. Yeah, she gave it back. A fifty year event it's like a fifty year flood. The Knicks don't win. Yeah. She did? I didn't even know that. You know how many dumb friends like you have in college have like a stop sign in their dorm room or like a street sign? It's like the j And she is fired and blackballed probably from the industry. meanwhile you can manipulate markets and help a sex trafficker and you get a you get a nothing. Nothing. Yeah, stupid. Nothing. Do you want to you well you do, you get to be p on a short list to be a successor to Jamie Diamond. Do you wanna hear the salami scandal? I don't know I care. So in twenty twenty four a wealth manager was fired because he he expensed a six hundred dollar deli platter, right? and and the the bank accused him of intentionally misclassifying as a a personal party as a bank, as a business meeting. But as it turned out, they were wrong. I just want to know what it is. Just give me the short version. Yeah. And an arbitration panel actually ordered JP Morgan to pay him four million dollars in damages. So so the salami scandal was actually JP Morgan screwing up. Wow. They both feel like Sl JP Morgan screwing up. The trash can and the salami scandal are both JP Morgan screwing up. I mean fire I mean, yeah, to your point about like Coke and traitors and I mean the the dude you know, he he expenses a deli platter and they fired him, that's I mean what whatever happened to like warnings and like don't do it again and w all what happened to that stuff? I mean I I'm sure well that stuff probably exists and I'm fine firing people who like r you know break the rules and stuff. But you gotta then fire all the people who break the rules. You can't sh pick and choose. Like I fired salami guy and trash can girl, but I'm not gonna fire, you know, Jamie Diamond who's involved in like market manipulation and yeah. I mean Not to mention the the optics of this is so bizarre to me. I this is the again, the Knicks have sucked my entire lifetime. They finally win. Good for them, good for the fans. JP Morgan is a he's like Mr. New York. He's the king of New York. He can't I mean he he th he can't like figure out a way to joke about this, like you know, gift her a a a a a trash can for her desk forever and just have like a j just some like PR release. We love the Knicks. Yeah, tell her yeah, we to imagine imagine imagine if Jamie Diamond was like, We told her you know, we love your spirit, give the trash can back and we'll buy you your own. But you can't be doing that stuff, whatever. Just Yeah, I know. I mean have some f have some fun with it. New York is like with with the with the love affair with Mamdanny and the Knicks, New York has this is like the first time New York's been happy in years. Give a break. not to mention that we covered a story just this week that Mr. Jamie Dime, who hates work from home, he he e eased that policy this week to let workers work from home to watch the World Cup. It's unbelievable. I look I Look, so you can watch that sport sporting event from home breaking all his remember he and he hates people who work from home. Remember he was he said at a meeting, he's like he's like, You're on your fucking Zooms. That's his quote, by the way. he's anyway, so that's what's going on. and then I just want to add a few other things for the JP Morgan week, more nerdy governance thing. So first they they announce a fifty billion dollar buyback. Yeah, he told them like lazy and like he said no pro what what he said all sorts of stuff. Yeah. Is that possible? I've never, I don't think I've ever seen a buyback. I I guess they could I guess that that that last bit of that buyback meant they couldn't afford Angie Diaz. They had to fire her. they also promoted two men to be co presidents Doug Petneau and Troy Rohrbar. So that they are now considered the next successors to to CEO Jamie Diamond, which is important because it used to be Yeah. If you got the cash, I guess. used to be three women who were leading that charge. Well, if they weren't so busy stealing trash cans, then there would still be women there. Right. One of that w well, one of those women was actually Mary Airdos, who I mentioned with the Epstein scandal. So so now they've shifted once again with the secession policy and be and they do this all the time at JP Morgan. Whenever they announce people getting promoted or they think that someone else might take work for Jimmy, they apologize to everyone by handing out cash or equity. So Yeah, they did do that, yeah. on the same day they announced that those two co presidents are getting thirty million dollars each in equity bonuses and then two of the women, including Mary Ardos, is g are getting twenty million dollars each. And then finally yeah. Where's my thirty million dollar equity bonus? And finally the last JP Morgan started I had to talk about because we just talked about the the work from home thing with the with the World Cup. There there's a study that came out. This is a post from Fortune magazine. A six year study shows that CEOs who push for R RTO mandates are the ones with the biggest egos, that they share that they a six year study tracking corporate executives revealed that strict return to office mandates are heavily driven by narcissism and executive ego rather than actual employee productivity. So how dare they fortune call Jamie Diamond a narcissist? I that seems a bit too far, right? How about that they're doing studies on this? I love it. Yeah? Okay. All right. Okay. That's JP Morgan. You ready to move on? I love that. I love that. We'll come back to that anyway. It's in my speed round. my god, that was like fifteen minutes of JP Morgan. Yeah, it's time to go. That was actually I love I I love the juxtaposition of trash can stealer to Jeffrey Epstein eneble enabler. Yeah. I know. I think I did pretty well on that. Usually I take twenty five minutes on my first story. I buzz through that one. On a fifty year flood victory. It'd be one thing if it was like the Yankees. It's like who cares anymore? The Yankees have won like nine hundred championships. You know what? If the Mets win, they should be allowed to steal everything. A mail but not a mailbox. That's federal property. Okay. next story. g GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen. This is such a stupid, weird story. This is the headline. Spurns $35 billion pay plan. I know to focus on plan to buy eBay. So so okay, so he basically came You think good point. Spurns. He's the one who came up with this stupid thirty-five billion dollars. It's like an Elon Musk ask pay package where he has to hit all these goals and he'll get thirty-five billion dollars. but then after that, he decided he suddenly wanted to buy eBay. So he tried to eBay and eBay was like, no, like the y the offer's weird. You're weird. so and one of the reasons why everyone thought Ryan Cohen was weird and why eBay didn't want anything to do with it was this pay package. Everyone was c upset about this pay package. So he got rid of it. Is that a quote? And he he's arguing now that he doesn't want the package so that GameStop's leadership can fully focus on its operating performance and the planned acquisition. So what that's a weird statement, right? So he's admitting that his pay package was was like taking up the t yeah, it's distracting leadership and they weren't focusing on operating performance because they were thinking about his pay. yeah. Distracting? Well, all right. So take a sports comp, right? Like let's s let's say that, you know, Shea Gilders Alexander, Oklahoma City superstar gets paid instead of like f the max salary, he gets paid something like ten billion dollars and all anyone talks about is Yeah. Unwind this for me. I'm sure it'll happen one day soon, yeah. Is the fact that SGA's got a $10 billion salary award coming and everybody else on the team is like, screw this, what am I doing this for? Like, why am I here? I hate this. And SGA's like, I'm gonna buy the Knicks and play for Oklahoma City. And and everyone's like, I hate you. And then he says, you know what? I'll give up my $10 billion salary so that I can buy the Knicks. So we can focus on buying the Knicks. It's you know what? I don't get this analogy. Yeah. So we can be friends again? Okay. This is so weird. It still is stupid and makes no sense, so something's dumb. The other headline is that he's Ryan Cohen said, I'm not about his about trying to buy ebay. I'm not going to stop. I'm not going to go away. This guy's weird, I'm sorry, Ryan Cohen. But Yeah. I think there's gonna be stories later on about like some like Ryan Cohen like collects cat skeletons or something. Like it's gonna be some weird stuff later. Third big story of the week, SpaceX handed lowest possible ESG rating by MSCI. I I'm just excited. The first time we could we could have MSCI we w MSCI never makes our stories of the week. I I I'm just thrilled. Wow, I can't believe this is a story of the week. I I like look, it wasn't ca can we can we say that it it they're not exactly going out on a limb with that with their lowest possible ESG rating for SpaceX. The f the fact that SpaceX is basically ignored or contravened every environmental law you can think of. They it's a private company that basically is Elon Musk's piggy bank now and there's no governance rights and and w I love this. Well I guess so, yeah. Yeah. They also are acquiring like five other companies that are objectively horrible. Like Grok is literally a racist machine. You put that all together and it's pretty easy triple C, I would say. Yeah, I mean I would think they stuck to their methodologies, no? I mean I Did isn't that the methodology? Isn't that where we're yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I I like that I I'm looking at their governance for first of all, the governance is too high. It's like a what was it, a three point two out of ten? That seems too high. but overall it's the lowest ESG rating when you consider everything else. But I was looking at the profile and I I I was thinking like, you know, not to toot the horn of FreeFlow Analytics platform, but I will. I I go you know, you don't get I like it though. Yeah, three point seven or something out of ten. Yeah, a lot. Yeah, please do. You look at their profile, MSCI, and it's like you don't really have a great understanding of what's happening. I mean, looking at their write up for the board. It j all it says is the the board currently has an independent majority w this is SpaceX, which enables it to more effectively fulfill its critical function of overseeing management on behalf of shareholders. The company has I I gotta keep going. The company has failed to split the role of CEO and chair, which may limit the board's independence from current management interests. No it does not. What? split CEO and chairman roles are characteristic of sixty seven percent of companies in the market. So that's the write up for the board. I mean, go to Free Flow Analytics and look at look at how we cover companies. It's a it's just a complete world of di I mean it's What AI nonsense wrote that? This'll SpaceX will be in free flow analytics in like the the next two weeks and y I I am one hundred percent sure it's gonna show up as a structurally differential board, totalitarian and the board is totally compromised. I d I don't think any Soon. Yeah. Look, I don't know I don't know who you're buying your governance data from, your ESG T whatever. And I'm I'm just gonna guess out loud that it's expensive and that you don't even use ninety percent of the data. I'm just gonna suggest to you that you consider the data and platform at FreeFloat to replace whatever contract you have because i thi it's it's extra data that you will use. so maybe it's time to audit your accounts and come on over to FreeFloat. Yeah, probably is. Yeah. That's for sure, yeah. Isn't off I like I use the platform for free float f fifty times a day. Like for just to just to look stuff up, like constantly looking for stuff. For research. Yeah, I do too. I'd use it for show research. Yeah. It's actually f and the other good thing about it I like is that it's fast. It's easy. It's responsive. I'm gonna tell you that was not an easy feat, but it's there. Okay, all right. Well, it's easy to use. And then finally the fourth story of the week. Another headline that's depressing in the world of corporate governance. wealth tower C CFO. Tim McHugh. CFO. Yeah, not the CEO. A hundred and sixty seven million dollar pay package sets new record for CFOs. And we've been covering this a lot in the proxy countdown. F, F, yeah. An insane amount of golden holo packages being thrown at CFOs who don't even stay at companies very long anymore. In fact, Nike just grabbed the CFO from Pfizer? I don't I don't under s I don't understand that synergy. Nike Nike turns the CFO from I guess Pfizer sells drugs. Nike I guess sneakers are drugs or okay, maybe I understand it. But they just throw a boatload of cash at him. He doesn't even stay at companies for more than four years. So so anyway, I I read this entire article Yeah, it's depressing, from my perspective because executive pay in America is just out of control, especially considering everything else going on in our country. I've read the entire article. D do you wanna know the one thing that this article did not mention? his favorite shoe size. actually I wish he they did do that. I know maybe they I think they had did have that. Yeah. It's favorite shoe size is ten and a half. Yeah. no, they didn't they just failed to mention that the CEO at Welltower, his name is Shank Mitra. His pay package this year was eight hundred and twenty one million dollars. But that it's not even in the story. they had that. It was in there. you know what? But I saw I actually ironically I saw Shank Mitra's name in a totally separate story about the top ten paid CEOs this year. And it was Musk is number one, obviously, 'cause like I don't know why we think he's worth it, but we keep giving him money. Yeah. Right. Well he yeah, I think we now we give him wh entire planets. Mitra was like number four on the top ten list. Mitra's one of the top d for for what? This is another reason. Okay. Here's another reason to to to adopt the FreeFloat platform is that all this the business news doesn't connect any dots. you go to the the Well Tower page at FreeFlow, not only gonna get everything about the the executives and the board, but you're gonna get the the the articles that we tag that go with these stories so that you can see it all together. I mean it's just it's just crazy that they don't mention this stuff. Anyway, those are my four stories that we go ahead. It is bananas how much money that is. All right. So I get to choose it's JP Morgan Week. it's GameStop. Not really not that. SpaceX ESG rating. I'd love to make it the ESG rating of SpaceX. Like that was an important story to somebody other than us thinking it's interesting. Well, I look it did it did have a l look, I'm the one who tags the this the stories and I will say that for MSCI, this story got a lot of play because they were being clever with it, the headline writers. This one said triple C score puts Elon Musk's company on par with Russia after twenty twenty two invasion of Ukraine. Now you know, the analogy is stupid, but you know, they're having fun with it. Well it's a it's good clickbait, but I love it. I mean, I don't know, compare th then again, maybe they're maybe you should love it because I'm kind of forgetting that I have his theory that CEOs and companies are gonna become their own sovereign states. So maybe you should compare Elon Musk to Russia, actually, yeah. All right, go ahead. There you go. I think that's correct. I he's a he's a trillionaire. You're talking about that's the GDP of Poland, right? Like, so he's already a country. and then Welltower CFO pay package. it's it's JP Morgan. I mean I I don't have an option except JP Morgan. No, you're right, you're right, you're right. Yeah. All right, go ahead. What's the story? What a dumb what a dumb dopey dumb dopey I mean it's I mean, when normal people are talking about trash can lady, at JP Morgan, then you know you've crossed some sort of zeitgeist and I mean this is the guy Jamie Diamond, remember that performative kneel down he did at one of his banks for for Geor Yeah. But he can't f I mean he can't forgive this woman f for I don't I I don't even get it. Honestly, I just honestly I just don't get this one. I don't get firing someone un unless like look, I could be speaking out of turn. If you look at her personnel record, maybe she has like stolen like four hundred trash cans in the city Yeah, I didn't get fired for that. I guess he didn't take a trash can from in front of the city. Yeah, get just just get over it. A fit of joy. Just Maybe her entire Maybe your entire apartment is full of trash cans. Alright, let's move on. To goodliest. Ha ha ha ha ha. I you have three. I have one. I just did one. And they keep warning her, one more trash can, Angie, and you're gone. Right? So Yeah. So I could be wrong. I could be wrong. All right. Let's move on. good, good. We need some good news. Yeah, I always I do a lot more now because I'm trying to like counterbalance the the negative that these shows cover now. Well, actually I would have chosen two of yours, that you pulled, but I d I I just I saw that you pulled them already, 'cause you were on it early, doing, you know, pre production work early yesterday, so Okay. That's because you threatened to like that we had to record this show like at four in the morning. So I panicked last night while watching World Cup. See, I was working from home watching World Cup s maybe gi maybe Jamie's right. In fact I stayed up I stupidly stayed up all the way to the end. I I went to bed like a Yeah, I don't know why I did. All right. Yeah, well this I was w I was you work for Yeah. Well you were more productive. I know. It was not good. I was not glad that I stayed up to the end. All right, so do yours first and I'll do my one. scientists say new method turns coffee grounds into high potency renewable fuel. I mean, this one's just nuts. This is out of this is from South Korea that where they're saying that they can convert spent coffee waste into high quality charcoal known as biochar, and it takes only the pro process takes ninety seconds. I that's fine. It's the burning of the biochar that feels like the bad thing. Are we are are we past coal? Okay, but I I Okay, but my point being here, is that, you know, the the gas companies are like they've given up, basically. you know, Trump is like, you know, basically forbidding wind power. I'm just saying like let's keep at it. This is great. Let's just keep at it. We can figure this out. W let's spend R and D money and let's figure no buybacks. I would I would love somehow if Trump Trump was like really excited about getting coffee ground coal. That's that's How about this? How about Trump? You can do this. I know Trump listens. why don't we he's pretending to be mad at at the gas and at the gas companies this week for not lowering gas prices. He's pretending that he those aren't his buddies. How about you you forbid gas and oil companies from doing buybacks and that money has to go into RD to solve this whole thing to figure out how to renewables. Hey, you can sell, you can sell. I know, I saw that, yeah. What? Climate crisis? Yeah, that loud that's that sounds trumpy. You can sell the the biochar or whatever. You can still make money. Alright, that's my first good story the way. Second good story. I I mean I c I can't believe this is these aren't like this isn't a no brainer, but you know it'll fail. Bill to raise minimum wage to twenty five dollars an hour will be introduced in Senate. I mean that enough said there. Yeah. It's twenty five dollars an hour by like twenty fifty or something, yeah. Six years. Of six years. well major corporations would have six years. unfortunately smaller companies would have thirteen years. That that's too long. nearly half of the American workforce makes less than twenty five dollars an hour. I I like that the World Cup too, that a lot of non US fans were they were not tipping and they were they were like chanting and yelling and protesting to for c American companies to pay your workers. Yeah. Well, no, well it's a it's a fair point. You know, relying on this tipping system is ludicrous. I mean, asking the consumer to to to make up the difference is ludicrous. pay pay your workers. Pay your workers. Yeah. Third story of the week, which I just added last second. This came out this morning. Federal judge blocks new law aimed at ESG DEI investing decisions. this is in Kansas, so they're It's n it's only in this country. It's the dumbest system on earth. Yeah. They're blo you covered this very well. There was a requirement that institutional investment advisors basically had to do a pledge of allegiance saying, like, you know, I will not like eat your Legos or whatever. I don't know. Like it was some stupid thing. And the re the real reason why I attacked this is yet again, another woman, another female judge is is fighting for our like world. It's incredible. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm. That was the pledge, yeah. You gotta you know what? I I want you to stop looking up the judges because y well, I've I'm a little worried that you're gonna keep pointing it out and then someone's gonna be like, We're gonna ban female judges, like only male judges from now on, you know? Like it's it's it's possible. All right, here's my one goodliest. mostly 'cause I liked the the first two of your well, I like the minimum wage one. is really the one I liked. It's automatic. We know it's a woman. they're gonna Yeah, right. I laugh, but you're probably right. Yeah. All right, that's what you got. This time. Mackenzie Scott alone accounted for one third of America's nineteen point two billion in mega gifts last year. What's a mega gift? I that's a good question. I I d I I guess it's I I mean it's a big one. Mega gifts. Megatron. What's a mega gift? It's a big gift. It's a big gift. I I don't know. Like I I don't I but I just saw another story like touting that, you know, Elon Musk gives a lot of money away. And it's like he gives it away to the Musk Foundation, which is a do does donor advised funds, which is a black hole, which never the money never has to go anywhere. Like Warren Buffett's giving away all his money to his kids' foundations, right? Like what's what's the thing? Okay. I thought he didn't. Foundations. Yeah, right, right. Kids. Howard and Susan, yeah. No, I I applaud Mackenzie Scott. I'm just I don't I yeah, I mean it's it it hasn't passed yet, but look, yeah, let's just vote for it. Yeah, let's get to it. I mean this seems like the mo this seems like the moment. I mean it just seems like a no brainer moment. I mean inflation is up again this month. Anyway, let's move on. Yeah. I I just like everything Mackenzie Scott does. All right, do we have a winner there? It's minimum wage, isn't it? That that it's even going to come up as a bill is kind of a good thing. All right. Alright, let's move on. assholes. All right. You know what I did? You know what I did? I did a CEO speed round. I will give you one CEO. Yeah, each one is a is an asshole. One CEO, one headline, and then a one liner. And so I'm gonna give you the CEO. I'm gonna give you one line about why they're an asshole and then the story that makes them an asshole. Just the headline of the story. We're making good time. Making good time. No. Wait what? so I don't get the play? Your you you definitely get to play. There's ten options here. And do you would you rather r rank them zero to ten or whether would you rather pick a winner? All right. Well but how do I play? Yeah. god, no. No. I'll just pick a winner. I I'll pick a to I'll pick a a a gold, silver, and bronze. 'Cause no one wants to like sit around while I like work out a ranking system of ten things I can't remember. Yeah. All right, here we go. Speed round. Are you ready for this? all right. First up, Tim Cook. Here's here's my one liner. It's pretty sweet to quit your job and let the new guy fight the union. Here's the headline Apple closed America's first unionized store and blocked workers from transfers. Now the union is fighting back. So Tim Cook stepped into his board role, his executive chair role. Go ahead. Yeah, I'm always ready for a speed run. Sidesteps the first major union fight for Apple. Gives it to the new guy. How about this? Also this week he's had this stupid quote saying that because they're raising prices basically on all the Apple products. He said, unfortun unfortunately, price increases are unavoidable. End quote. Which we know is not true. I mean, we know how much cash they have. We n we we know there's other ways of getting around this, or but anyway, that's t unavoid yeah, that was a stupid quote. I think they also Yeah, I saw that, yeah. No, he could take less profit. Yeah. It's unavoidable. I think he also did he compare it to like the hundred year flood or something stupid like that. See, I think you're right but I think you're right though. I think Tim is like loosening up because he's like sliding in the executive chair role. Yeah, I think they constantly compare everything to a hundred year flood. He's executive chair now. So here's the thing. We had a working theory on the proxy countdown, or maybe it was the Tuesday show earlier this week, where we were talking about after Bezos became executive chair, he started spouting off. He just, he just that's when he started un unleashing his horrible personality on the world. D should we expect now Tim Cook more quotes in the press of him being just an asshole? Maybe he likes Trump. He loosened up. Yeah. Took his tie off. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Well listen to this stupid quote from the Wall Street Journal. He c he said he's talking about the price increase. This is a hundred year flood, w which is stupid to begin with. And then he makes it even stupider. I've never seen anything like it in any area in over forty years. So couldn't he say a hundred years? Couldn't he keep the hundred year flood to a hundred years? Yeah. And by the way that he you're wrong. The hundred year flood is the Knicks winning and the the trash can being stolen. So No, I it's you already g did the hundred year thing. Yeah, stick with it. Stick with it. Stick with your theme. Yeah. That's a 50 year flood. number two, Jamie Diamond. It was here's my here's my one-liner. It was easy. We just pointed to the ones with boobs and said, Not you. Here's the headline. How JP Morgan went from three female CEO contenders to an all-male succession race. All right, keep going. Yeah, that's true. That is easy. Yeah, this one made me wonder. I saw this article yesterday because I I you know, we're talking about the performative Jamie Diamond with the kneeling and everything and and the the whole performative corporate world with the with the the board mandates for women on boards that now has gone away. Now now we're just like getting we don't care anymore. DEI is not important. I wonder if the three female CEO contenders were all bullshit. Okay. But what are we doing? What is what kind of a sick world is this? Of course they were. Like like I I don't I think the if If they were all real, they would still be contenders. There's nothing that they're doing now that would make them not contenders, I imagine. Like they were contenders six months ago. And now they're not? Now it's all dudes. Like it's unbelievable. number three. all right. I don't like that. Move on. Yeah. It is. Co they're co dudes, co presidents. I know. How many coes do we need? It's like the Larry Ellison model of every th everyone's a co. that's the worst too because y y just like a bad TV show, you know these two dudes are gonna be like fighting each other now for this. Like they're y yeah. On the White House lawn, yeah. All right, go ahead. Suck. it'll be I I think they should film the whole thing. If you're gonna do it, at least make it all right. Number three, Zuck. Here's my one-liner. The best thing about being a little man king with no accountability is I can randomly change and unchange and rechange my mind about people's lives. Here's the headline MetaPauses an AI training program that tracks employees' keystrokes after an internal leak. Yeah. Yeah. As in they know how shitty what they were doing was. It leaked, and then because employee morale is so bad from the layoffs and everything else, they had to pause the program. Yeah. That's not and that what you're saying about employee morale is not just conjecture. It was that the CTO said that. but here's the thing that you're we're watching happen with Zuck. I would call it from the Joe Rogan, the companies need to be more masculine moment to now. Yeah, the anti DEI movement, the anti woman movement. Zuck tried to be Musk, right? Like Zuck tried to get his Musk on and be all like Except that no one like that like Musk has these like weirdly fanatical meme, you know, followers. They think he's a genius because he's doing rockets and shit. He's doing a good job of it. Yeah, but he also has mi it's true, but he also has a lot of miserable employees. Sure, but he's got people who are willing to work building a rocket to go to Mars because they believe in that thing. Zuck took an idea from, you know, the Winkelvoss twins and cornered a market and just bought WhatsApp, bought Instagram. He bought everything he did, everything they've made. He bought the Oculus Rift, everything Zuck has made sucks. Like nobody actually and no one likes him. He's one of the most unlikable people. Yeah, seven days a week they work, yeah. Yeah. Right. Even the Well, the the there was a report yesterday that the person who does like him now is Trump, that he's now won the Musk Zuck War. Like Zuck is now number one on the list. Imagine how much you much suck that because let's be fair. the average employee, the median employee at Meta makes quite a bit of money compared to, you know, right? So imagine how much you must suck. Yeah, I d that's that to what, today? Like I Yeah, like four hundred thousand or something, yeah. That they all hate you and morale's at all time low, right? I mean, that's a fair chunk of change there. I mean, I th I think everyone's looking up and being like, wait, this is the guy? Like I w like Zuck to his credit, like helped pioneer the do stuff, break everything, break every rule, don't care about feelings, you know, have no empathy, make a milli make yourself a billionaire thing, right? Like that he was like an early pioneer to the Silicon Valley do that thing, young person. Yeah. So all these young people were like, I could do that too and now they're looking at it and be like, Our fearless leader's a total douchebag. All he does is like watches and fight UFC games and what? Not to mention look at look at this not to not to mention I mean I think they're they're looking at the the culture that that is being created around them, but probably feeling some guilt. It's all horrible. Alright, move on. This is not that wasn't speedy. Yeah, Larry Fink. It's horrible. So Larry Fink, number four. Larry F here's my one liner. Have you seen the size of my signature come to work? A six year study shows which CEOs are pushing RTO mandates, the one with the biggest ego. So you covered the story. He's one of the names in the story. A and my favorite part about it is what the researchers used as a proxy for ego. Wait, is he one of the is he one of the ones I didn't know that, okay. Yeah. Right. In the here's a quote: In the six-year study, researchers collected data on Fortune 500 CEOs using behavioral proxies, signature size, photo size in annual reports, pay gap relative to peers, to construct narcissism scores. The higher the score, the more likely a CEO is to publicly oppose remote and hybrid work and seek additional status like board chairmanship. Yeah. I love this. Love it. Interesting. In a separate experiment, CEOs whose egos were primed by reflecting on the assertive leadership styles of Steve Jobs and Larry Ellison showed significant greater opposition to working from home than a control group. Meaning, we did a joke study. Do you remember this? Like five years ago on one of our shows, we did a joke study where we went through some annual reports and some sustainability reports and counted the number of brown people in the pictures, right? People of color in the pictures. And then compared it. Yeah. Yeah. There's a lot, there were a lot. Yeah, none which were there are none, yeah. To the actual workforce and and w in which there were none. And we found like Johnson and Johnson was the worst. It was like they had like it was every picture was there was a black person in the picture. And then like the workforce had like one percent black people, right? It was like really it was horrible. This is that study. This is the real version. This is the academic version. I feel like we inspired them. Yeah. Multiple. Yeah, l leadership was yeah, the leadership was bad. Yeah, go yeah. Well, you know, it also makes me think, at the corporate library, we used to flag CEOs who had who's made their pay was a a certain multiple higher than all the rest of the name executive officers 'cause 'cause again, we feared that that same narcissism that's going on here that if if that guy's making that much more than you, how how are you supposed to feel about, you know, your trajectory and and and your power in the in the C suite? I I I free float, if you're listening, I want I want the scores on every company in the world. Narcissism score. I love it. Number five, Andy Jassy. I like this. I like it. Keep going. Yeah, he's Bezos' buddy. Amazon. Yeah, he's the CEO, air quotes. Now we know exactly when you're wasting our time peeing in a bottle instead of working. Headline is Amazon is on a mission to optimize warehouse work. Its latest test puts wearable devices on support staff. What a fucking asshole. Like you you you welcome to work. Put on this watch so we know everything you're doing at all times. my god. That's not good. But is that no Yeah. Yeah, this reminds me of an of an episode of Andor that was on the Disney they had this these workers in prison, they were like optimized to be so efficient that they could get you know, create these widgets in the fastest way possible. But this also what I g what I'm guessing this is also doing is is training their robot replacements, right? Because if you can if you can record movement down to a centimeters, then you can just have a robot do it. Yeah, of course. I know all the movements, yeah. I I w n like we I don't know when we stop treating workers like they're adults. Probably like, you know, in the industrial revolution. But like with the return to work mandates, with the like train your AI replacement stuff, put on this wearable, like tracking everything that you do, like Zuckerberg tracking their clicks, like w w are we adults or are we not adults? Are you the only adult? What the fuck is going on? What is the matter with you? Well, I mean how how many more reasons can we give you to unionize your workforces? By the way, not to mention that this is for a company that just buys into the worst part of the American consumer. This is just like drug addicted retail spending which is crushing most of our bank accounts. We have so much debt in this country that it it you know you know, I wanna know making it worse. I just read sell side research paper by like I you know, one of the big banks saying that prime membership is undervalued by by like ten times undervalued. Like they should be charging ten times more than they. S w charge more for prime, like so we can what buy more what? Stop it. yeah. This is I think this is JP Morgan. I this is JP Morgan. Yeah. They should charge more. That's JP Morgan that had that. Yes. I don't know. It the weird thing is, is that look, I'm not like a minimalist. I I don't buy a ton, but I'm sure I'm pretty bad compared to most of the world, you know, but I don't buy a lot. I I and like you, I canceled my prime membership a year, two years ago. It's look, it's hard when you do these shows and work at this company. After a while you have to bail on certain companies. Like I'm totally out on everything, Mark Zuckerberg. I got rid of WhatsApp, I got rid of Instagram, I'm just totally out. you have to just get rid of it, yeah. Yep, so did I. Yep. And I did the same thing with Prime. It made no difference. Like a well, two actually two things. I don't buy as much. And I j I actually spent time like going to neighborhood like to play places in my world and I find things and I talk to them about like what to buy. And then if I don't like it, I return it. And yeah, right. So so anyway, all right, keep going. Yeah. Nothing. Correct. I go to the local place, yeah, down the street. Yeah. I go to ace hardware when I want. Yeah, exactly. number six, Nikesh Aurora. Here's a head here's my one-liner. If you just said who, you better pay attention because I have important things to say. Headline is Paulo Alto Network CEO. We're in a Darwinian moment where employees have to prove their AI skills. Yeah, I saw that and I didn't like that. But y you know yeah. Not only did you not like it, but you were like it now does every fucking asshole have to weigh in, every CEO have to st like are seriously, shut up. Like we already have to hear this from a bunch of other assholes. Darwinian too, yeah. That's that's dark. I saw a report not too long ago that Palo Alto Networks is one of the more the most like routinely criticized pay packages of any company. Like they Yeah, he's in the he's like number two of all pay, yeah. Yeah, so this so there's it there's that he's there's that's how he gets stays ahead. He just ignores his shareholders' point of view, so number seven, Satcha Nadella. If I complain about how everyone talks about AI, does that make me sound more sympathetic? The headline is Microsoft CEO takes aim at AI companies. We have to walk the walk to convince the public. Yes. Yeah, the the the details of this are are much worse than the headline. He admitted the he admitted the whole game. this and this was an interview with I think with the Wall Street Journal. This wasn't like on his Reddit on his like Reddit posts or something. He admitted the whole game. What an asshole. She I'm yeah, this is not like him pretending. This is him literally saying He's like we sh yeah, we shouldn't be we can't we shouldn't tell people this is gonna destroy the world and get them fired. We gotta we gotta stop saying that. You gotta stop saying that. You gotta say that what he said we're going to like move your jobs. What did we what did he say? Reorganize. We're gonna reorganize your jobs. Reorganize you to what? The breadline? That's what you're gonna reorganize me to? how about win win. Yeah, I was like re reorganize, yeah. This is bad, bad. Bad. Yeah. I do like toast though, so that could work for me, right? As long as there's like a variety. I want like a cinnamon toast, I like a multi grain, I like that sprouted Ezekiel bread. I I want all kinds of different stuff. A nice English muffin? No. No. Well, I don't think on the breadline they give you options for toast. Jeff Bezos. I I mean, if I'm honest, everyone is terrible and should be laid off. Here's the headline. Jeff Bezos called Washington Post is worst investment and staff he laid off terrible people. Yeah. One of the I was just talking to a nice man who he's who worked in D C all his life. Yeah, I know. So and we were talking about the Washington Post and he lived in the neighborhood next to the Washington Post offices. We're talking when you you know, i i you forget that that some of these places you know, especially these like these places of journalism are the were the cornerstones of our democracy for so long. that we've come to this point where this No, I know you're lying. Idiots, asshole, says these things and like it's nothing. it's just it's sad. I I really I I just never would have guessed that we've we would have accelerated to this point where just because you're a rich blowhard who sells like cheap plastic on the internet, that not only do you have the power and money to buy a a a newspaper and destroy it, but also to talk shit about it on the way out because you're just a blowhard. I actually I feel like the you know, all the things you're saying, I feel like the quote is actually worse than all the things that you're saying. Like apparently what he did is in a dinner, this is from a book about Trump. And in a dinner with Trump in 2024, he said to Trump about the Washington Post: The people there are terrible. They don't listen. My other companies. Okay, good. fine. Yeah. huh. Okay. Yeah. God. They listen. So the reason why he thinks the journalists were terrible is Well yeah, but that's of course. Because there's always Right, but there's a a thing called editorial independence from the from your owner, from your overlord. That's always been the case. You don't you're not supposed to be telling them what to do. Ugh, I hate this. I hate this. I know, I know, and it's bad. Yeah. Shh. Yeah. No, it's bad. And he's not the only one, by the way. He's not the only They But the th I just like he just thinks everyone should listen to him because he has money. That's it. It's just nothing else. Like you should just listen to me. all right, next. ego maniacal billionaire who's buying important media companies. yeah. They all are. Now the whole media ecosystem is owned by like s four guys and they're all Trump donors. number nine, and there's only one more after this. Brian Moynihan. Yeah, Bank of America. I mean or your kid was late to school because they forgot to make their card for teacher appreciation day, you didn't eat breakfast and you rushed to work for the off to the get to the office as fast as you could because working from home isn't allowed anymore. Here's the headline By seven AM Bank of America's CEO has already read five newspapers, his email inbox and hit the gym. He says if you're late to meetings, you're selfish. yeah. huh. Yeah, this is I I la I laughed when I read that. I don't believe any of this, by the way. He read five I hope he didn't read anything from the terrible idiots at the Washington Post. I hope he didn't read that new Did it say what five newspapers he read? 'Cause it's there's no way. I'm sorry. Because even 'cause the New York Times, y you basically have to be unemployed to I remember when I had a New York Times subscription living in New York. When I wasn't working it was great, but when I got a job I What what an asshole. Like I know. They've they're just terrible people. Well I Who had time to read the New York Times? It's impossible. It's impossible. So what's he reading? Is he reading like a the penny saver? He's such a he's such a blowhard. He is such a liar, Brian Mornahan. There's no way. The New York Times is a long paper. It's a long paper. But I so Yeah, he's reading like the one the guy at the outside the subway hands you for free. But that's not that notwithstanding. They didn't give the list of papers and the article. First of all, fortune. Can we just stop it with these dopey like I I hate them. I hate them. But he said, quote, we have a I no no. Don't listen to Matt. I love these. I love these. Pretty big history in this company. If you're late, you're actually selfish and that's ingrained in people. So we try to always be on time, not because we say you have to be on time, like it's some rule, but you're being selfish to other people involved. huh. I mean, we don't do we have to go over the list of scandals that Bank of America in the last twenty years? Like self selfish? Like like I'm sorry, my kids got a fever. The other kid like was late for the bus. I had to drive them and figure it out. And I had to rush into the office because you asshole make me come into the office every single day now. Like despite the fact that I could do all the same work from home. yeah, I'm sorry, I'm three minutes late and you're fucking selfish. He probably just tells them to get a he probably tells him just to get a personal driver like I have. It's easy. Do you know how easy Manhattan can be? I mean, come on, just make it easy for yourself. Yeah. Just you know what, just have fewer kids. Last option of the ten. I don't know how you're gonna pick gold, silver, bronze here. All right, Dave Ramsey, not a traditional CEO. I think I I think it's gonna be easy for me. Go ahead. Who is Dave Ramsey? I see this guy on so many headlines. He's like the Jim Kramer. Who is he? He's a blowhard. Okay, but is he like a a radio show, a T V show? He's like a g he's like a personal finance guru. He's like he's got he had a radio show, a podcast. I think he's got like some other like media outlet y things, but he's Okay, okay. Ye his here's who you see in the headlines all the time. Kramer. I understand Jim Kramer, CNBC. I get that. I whether I don't know whether whether I like or not, it doesn't matter. Jamie Diamond, of course. The the big one and now you see a lot of Kevin O'Leary and Mark Cuban. You've seen Cuban for a while, but because of the what's it called that dumb show? Shark Tank. You he you hear every every opinion about Kevin O'Leary. He seems to have all kinds of fatuous opinions Yeah. I like Jim Kramer even if he's a blowhard. Yeah, of course, yeah. Yeah. He's Yeah, they're still doing the only guy left on Shark Tank, yeah. Yeah, and then Dave Ramsey. You just hear a lot of Dave constant Dave Ramsey. So I'm excited. I'm excited you're talking about him. Well, here's my one liner.0001% of Musk's worst day could end hunger on Earth. But sure, take away Halloween and pets from the rest of us. Here's the headline from Dave Ramsey. Dave Ramsey says 20% of Americans' Halloween and pet budgets could end hunger. There'd be no hungry kids. This one hit hit me hard, this one. I mean I I I I I understand the perspective you're taking here. But but you know what? 'cause when I think about things like Jeff Bezos' empire, right? And I think about Amazon and and Andy Jassy, I I actually appreciate what Dave Ramsey is saying. If if if we didn't have this collective mania of a of a d of a drug addiction in this country, like just s just I know what he's doing. Throwing money into nonsense constantly as a culture. And even just to just to stay ahead with like things like Halloween and Christmas and weddings and engagement ring. We just waste so much cash that this one kind of hit me. Like I, you know, I mean like you, I live in a I live in a a a city and I see a ton of homeless people, a ton of hungry people. It hit me hard, this one actually. Yeah. Well this is what he's good at. But simultaneously, I also recognized immediately that he is putting the problem of hungry kids on the people whose only joy is having a pet to love and having a fun f Halloween. I blame Musk too. I know, I know. I know. It's true. The pet I don't b the pet thing I don't agree with, but the the holidays, the weddings, I actually do agree with a little bit, but But that is the that's what is the point of being alive if all you're doing is good now you have to go to work. We you know that AI is probably gonna get you laid off. You won't be able to find a job because nobody likes your skills. Like you barely get by, you're living check to check, and Dave Ramsey's coming out and saying you're overspending on Halloween, you could end hunger if you stopped it. Like No, I understand. I understand. But there are joys. I understand, but there are other joys that don't require constant spending. Isn't that what the World Cup is isn't that what the World Cup shows the globe? Is that you all all you need is a ball. You need a ball to have fun in your backyard. But you and I are all you and I are are arguing about how to find joy while fucking Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have everything. Every possible thing. They own everything. The Musk just spent one point two billion dollars on the upcoming midterm elections. That's how much he's spent so far. No, I know, I know. Well this is why Well this is the problem to me. Well well this is the pro this is why I have such a problem. This is why I call some of these industries drugs. this is why I focus on this so much. I'm looking at retail, I'm looking at like streaming, I'm looking at whatever. I can't think of the third one or not. But like restaurants, food, Starbucks type because and that that we don't equate this with With wage, minimum wages. Like these pla these places should not be in operation if they can't if they can't give all their workers living wages, then they shouldn't be just like flooding the zone with a shit. That's all I'm trying to say. I get you. But I I just don't think personal finance advice should be like you have to sacrifice to get by because seven people have all the money and don't wanna pay taxes and don't wanna give you any of the money and they telling you that they earned it and it's up to you to fucking earn your own way. There's no way they earned it. Like Trump himself is the ultimate Nepo baby. He's a he's a giant nepo baby, right? I hear you. No, you're right. That's what the Conservatives Well that's actually It's funny you mentioned that because Kevin O'Leary just this week had a headline saying the problem is that is you're like sandwich, basically. Like you should be making your own lunch. The the the the there's personal finance gurus like Susie Orman and Kevin O'Leary now and Dave Ramsey go around telling you that you need to save, you need to sacrifice, you need to put yourself in a good place for when you're older. And the reason why you have to do that is because you can't afford health care and you're gonna have to pay for it when you're old yourself, because there's no healthcare system. Because you get minimum wage now, you you you basically can't have joy until you're 60 and retire. And like it's fucking insane that. Yeah. I agree with you, but I just I just want I d I'm s stop supporting the industries that just they sell to us constantly. All right, let's move on. Yeah. I get the addiction to the to to the stuff. One hundred percent. And simultaneously, like, d get over the fact that it's it's all my fault. How about how about saying it's somebody else who took it all? Right? Like it's not all me. Yes, some's gonna be me. All right, which is your gold, silver, bronze? Tim Cook, Jamie Diamond, Zuck, Larry Fink, Andy Jassy, Nikesh Aurora, Satya Nadella, Jeff Bezos, Brian Mohanhan, Dave Ramsey. Gold's the biggest asshole of this week. Yeah, I agree. Alright, shut up. No. I like it. I did like that rant though. So what gold is the biggest asshole, right? In the non speed speed round. the gold is Satinadella. Wow, I would not have picked Satya Nadella. Interesting. I just think w just because well for obvious reasons. We've been talking about AI for years now. I just for obvious reasons. Maybe this is just my my perspective on on this this completely unmitigated disaster, this unregulated disaster where everyone's becoming super trillionaires and okay. Silver just because of the the the the d devastation to our democracy. And and and I appreciate your your rant. And I think that the the the number one culprit really here is Jeff Bezos. So I'm gonna give him a silver Ooh, silver. I like the silver. Okay. That I can get behind. and then finally the bronze Boy, this is a tough one. Yeah, you're right. Usually you do bronze, silver, gold to build up you we're we're actually doing the third place one last. Yeah. I screwed it up. bronze boy, this is tough. I don't know. I mean we're on a clock here. Let's go. This it's it's selfish. I should I just told you I just told you to shut up and I can't even think of anything to say. There's just so much there there's so many things, I'll just go with n I'll go with Nakesh Aurora or the dis Darwinian moment nonsense. I don't know. I'm just really f I'm just really I'm really focused on I don't know, this this this AI shift is is is bugging me. I don't know. It's Do you want me to go back to ranting? It's a lot of assholes. really? All all odd ch choices. You and everybody else. No, I know, but like, you we've we've been at this for years and like th it's like this scary culmination of everything we've been warning about, which is like just s you know, we we we we can't we have to do something about like letting a a a ten CEOs sort of run away with everything. Not not only run away with all the resources and all the wealth, but but just just plotting our course for our our collective culture for us and I It it's just n now we're now it's just it's it's off the track. I mean it's just I mean they stole all our knowledge, they stole all of our private information, they stole everything. And the and and then and they're degrading our own ability now to even think and to process that knowledge. They took the environment from us. They told us that like, this is fine for the environment and it wasn't. They they've taken they t they took the presidency. They're paying for politicians. They've taken everything. Like I I I'm surprised It's happening so quickly too. True, Citizens United. I'm looking at you. Yeah. And we don't even have time to mention all these these these stories. Like, I think maybe you you mentioned it in passing this show, but the amount of money that the AI are are throwing into elections now, just to just to subvert elections. It's it's yeah. It's I find it overwhelming. So anyway, I could have voted I could have voted for all that stuff, but you know me, I'm like hyper. Unbelievable. It's unbelievable. All right. Let's I I have this this sense of personal pride when we can finish a show in under an hour or so. Well you already failed. All right, let's let's do headlines, winners, predictions and th and they these can go fast. These can legitimately go first. All right, go do your headline. No no, we're getting there. We're getting there. We could do this. I'm gonna just say the headline 'cause it's scary. Bel beloved grandmother was standing in her own house when a Tesla, allegedly on autopilot, smashed through the wall and killed her in grandchildren's playroom. That's not a good headline. I thought this was like a funny, fun headline. it's just a headline of the weight. What do you I got Ryan Eyre says it will reluctantly not charge parents to sit next to children. I love reluctantly. I love that. And I also have Elon Musk will get a billion shares of SpaceX if he can settle a million humans on Mars. Yeah, he did say that. It he actually the CEO did use that word reluctantly. Yep. I hope there are a million humans who vote for like his political beliefs. I just like the numbers are just so dumb. Why not ten trillion shares if he can bring Gus to who sleeps at the bus station to Neptune? Like why like what's just make up numbers? Who won the week for you? Gee, I I wonder what race I wonder what race those million humans will be. I'm let me think. for me it's the mothership. I only because we've never I've never gotten to say MSCI. I was excited to see them in the headlines. and and look, I I know everyone should know this already, but they don't. The the risks associated with SpaceX are ridiculous. It's automatically going into your index funds. we should fight back more. I don't know how. only the S P, only the S P f said no. Everyone else so I'm just I i i it sucks. I hate it and so I'm gonna give the MSCI credit for sticking to its methodologies. What do you got? Yeah, they're in the Russell one thousand already. I'm close to yours. I chose ESG ratings. ESG ratings back in the news. Tru Musk is upset about it. Like I like I I love I love that it's back. How about a prediction? yeah. right, yes. In devil incarnate. okay, mine's a little bit long-winded. Sym okay, symbolically giving up your thirty five billion dollar CEO pay package becomes the new one dollar salary, right? Remember CEOs used to symbolically give up their salaries as a way to be like, I'm with you. So now proxy statements will say this. Our CEO generously waived his thirty-five billion dollar pay package as a gesture of sacrifice to lead by example. First of all, y you missed your calling and writing proxy statement, you know, fluff. you should do more of that. I all right, mine is short and sweet. Ryanair announces a new fee that children can pay to sit away from their parents. Haz (01:00:42.883) I if they pay pay me I'd do it. Haz (01:00:55.513) Well, I gotta tell ya, it goes both ways. I've been on some flights where I got separated from my family and it was a pretty relaxing flight, I've gotta tell ya. I I napped, I read a book, it was pretty nice. Matt (01:00:58.285) Isn't that great? Matt (01:01:02.966) It was a pretty good. It was pretty good. reluctantly not charging parents to sit next to children.
