Alright, well, I hear it. Something's happening. Although it's static. Live from your ESG brain massage helmet. It's a business pants Friday show here at June twelfth studios featuring analyst hole Matt Muscardi. Yeah, wow. Yeah. Emphasis on the tu. On today's weekly wrap up, Lex Luthor is officially a real thing. Really? We did it. And Elizabeth Warren is trying to be Superman, but not really quite getting there. The Sun finally beats Cole and an A hole speed round. Yeah, that's it. That's the show. That's the show. Not really. Doesn't really work. Doesn't work. That's right. We're doing a speed round today. Yeah, I love it. I love it. Alright. Sounds good. Alright. Stuff's working. Stuff worked, kind of. It almost worked. Yeah, sure. Sure. Our show today is being sponsored by Freeflow Analytics and Freeflow Analytics.com, the only platform measuring board power, put connections and performance for free. Now I will say this. Yeah, I guess they're okay to they're right to applaud. I did say this, I've been like teasing updates for months, and I think anyone who listens thinks it's probably BS by now. But I actually did see a beta version yesterday. It's incredible. Yeah. Yeah. I I don't know what this means. I don't know when it's gonna go live and I don't know what it means for people. But yeah. gonna I'm gonna pull up are they they've given me access to the like the pre alpha live you know non live version. I'm gonna pull it up. I don't know. Well if you're watching the live stream, go to YouTube. If you listen to the show, go to YouTube and you can see you're gonna see this. when are they gonna get access to it? I you can't ask unanswerable questions. Like let's just stick with the answerable questions. What's that help anyone? Today? Nobody watches. But when are they gonna get access to it? Coming. Okay. The good news about free flow media and free flow analytics is that I know there's smart people doing things. I just know that they're not good at like making money off of doing things. But they're smart. I know they're smart. That's good. That's a good start. And we keep and we keep hearing now from this like all the billionaire AI generation is that is that actually smart creative people are gonna be the most valuable going forward. We're gonna actually need those type of people. So We we We hear from them that yeah It sounds like that if we wait like thirty years we're gonna be valuable again. is that all we have to wait? Thirty ye just thirty years. That's that sounds good. We just have to wait. We have to keep waiting. Keep waiting. Yeah. 'Cause I think greed greed is still winning now, but we have soon the intelligent creative types will get like five dollars more an hour or something. Like I alright. That's a teaser to the stories of the week. Let's do it. go ahead. Do whatever you want. I I'm very excited for the day when w when we're back on an hourly wage. Alright, well yeah, I'm gonna pull this up. What I'm gonna we're gonna play in the story of the week and then I'm gonna pull it up as you start talking. Ready? Alright, let's do this. Alright. Story of the week. I hope people I hope people don't actually watch because I actually forget I have a camera in this so called office. I don't even clean up. My hair is a rat's nest. I hope nobody is looking at us. y yeah, you know that's not the way this works, right? I don't really know. Alright, story of the week, the story that can't be avoided. I c I'm calling it the super bro IPO dystopia. I don't even know what it is. It's this is like it it this is this is this is all it's all happening. Like all the things we are worried about are suddenly all happening. Yeah. See- But simultaneously, like kudos to them for flooding the zone so much that we can't even pay attention to all the things that are happening at the same time. Yeah, well that's the that's the the that's you've characterized the age, right? That's the age we're living in. Yeah. So SpaceX is IPOing now, today, I guess. So this is a record breaking IPO. Yeah, and and everyone knows probably some of the the top level details. This is the the the the biggest IPO ever. one point eight trillion dollar valuation. Yeah, flood the zone age. Is that is that what it is? I think it IPO'd, it's already done. Bigger than Saudi Aramco, bigger than Alibaba, bigger than Facebook. set the price at $135 per share. now, what's interesting about that is not even how high it is, it's that Elon Musk dictated that price, which is not how the process usually works. He right? He he said it and then told major investment banks basically like, You're gonna listen to me. Usually they're involved with the price setting, but he was just like, No, no, this is Right. Yes, and just so you know, investors were so pissed about it that they oversubscribed four X and it's currently trading twenty one percent up from that price. At the same time, Nasdaq b basically changed all their rules and and sort of oddly and aggressively forced SpaceX right into their into their indexes. I I was gonna get to that. I'll get to that later. SP did not, you're right. and you're right. So thirty percent of the offering has been earmarked for all the meme traders, right? All the retail investors. S P did not though. Right? which they which that what they're saying basically is that this just shifts the v the valuation risk away from institutional investors and run into the public, basically. Like I I guess they're they're shouldering all the risk really. but anyway, BlackRock has already already been said to have been invested five billion dollars. I saw this this little tidbit. This unusual part of another another unusual part of the SpaceX IPO. Yep, yep. is that they were institutional investors admitted that they were given high level revenue figures but were denied a copy of the actual balance sheet, which it which again is an unprecedented moment. Seems to be an important thing to have. No one cares. I actually I'm not sure it's a flood the zone moment. I actually think it's a no one cares. As I think there's that I think there's two worlds. One world in which you know you're it's a guarantee because of the grift and the corruption and the lack of controls and whatever that you're guaranteed to make money. You guaranteed to make money. You don't But they don't care. They're not pushing back. You're right. You're I don't think that's true. How is that possible? Okay. And you've resigned yourself to that world. Mm hmm. yeah, absolutely. care about any you don't you don't need a balance sheet. You're making money no matter what. It's a guarantee. Yeah. Because we know how the 'cause we know how this game works. Tesla was the the example of this game. Well then there's the other side of that trade, which is the everybody else who's guaranteed to lose money. Like you k your your wage can't keep up with inflation, you're gonna get fired by AI, the only thing left to do is go trade crypto and meme stocks and hope that you make and that they don't care because like there's they've been fed drugs of distraction for the last decade. But it's fun. But it's all fun. They're having everyone's having fun though. It's fun. And not to mention that just watching a real life Lex Luthor is fun because I think what we all want is our stupid like Netflix shows to be real. We just we we just we love this moment, right? We have we have like cage fighting going on at the White House this week. So this is what we've all wanted. We've all wanted to live in a celebrity dystopia forever and we finally got it, right? Like we're all famous. R it's all reality show. I I I don't know. So again, I'll keep going with some of the tidbits. Do we? Yeah, yeah. That's We won. We we mentioned this before. Elon Musk has absolute voting tyranny, right? Eighty percent of voting power. And there's no possible way of chipping into his power. It's over. This is his company. there there are no checks and balances. yeah. But d but this has been codified. Unlike Tesla, this has been codified. And they've already teased this morning, I think, that It's a private company. Can we stop with the public going public? That you know, basically Specs X SpaceX is probably gonna merge with Tesla, of course. So anyway. now all of this the the background to all this, of course, is that SpaceX wouldn't be a thing without securing over, you know, loans and federal contracts from the US government, right? I mean it it relied on public money. Be a thing, right? Same with Tesla. Yeah. But but but listen to this. So the the the the people of the US get nothing out of this, right? For for giving public money for it. but but listen to this. The second biggest shareholder is a man named Antonio Gracias. Although is it not Garcias? Yes, and still loses money now, right? He was a sh he was a director at Tesla. Yeah. He was a director at Tesla. He was involved with a with a PE firm called that doesn't even matter. Valor. Of course it's called Valor. I mean, what right? So here's the story. And this is the and this is the the the frustrating part, at least to to the people who do care, which which to your point is like point zero zero one percent of the population. So he personally gave Elon Musk a one million dollar loan when he was struggling. And the PE firm gave SpaceX $76 million Bat Valor You know, both characterizes lifelines, right? They bailed them out. Like 'cause without this without other people's money, Elon Musk is nothing. He's he's just like, you know, he's a fraud. So here's what happens. Fast forward, Antonio Gracias, former Tesla director and buddy who gives out loans. He is the second largest shareholder of SpaceX. Just just this random dude. You'd call him a Jamuk. Wasn't that what you'd call him? This random dude. Yeah, ex but you have to be clear about what he's the second largest shareholder of. He's the second largest class A shareholder. Well Yeah, go ahead. Okay, but it's still he has seven point seven percent of SpaceX's class A stock, which is five hundred million shares. But the but the point being is that he is suddenly one of the fifty richest people in the world. He he has now valued at over a hundred billion dollars. Just that's it. That's how that's how this world works. This is what NASDAQ i is fast tracking, like this type of behavior. This is why we screamed for months about One night, yeah. These votes at Tussler were super important. Like they had ramifications beyond the proxy statement, right? There was sort of like a moral reckoning happening in our world and and and this is why it all mattered. Anyway, I'm I'm gonna add I'll just gonna keep going. Cause I I I think you're losing interest. Anthropic there's more. good. filed confidentially on June first. That's the AI company. But a trillion dollar valuation. And then seven days later OpenAI also filed confidentially. That's another trillion dollar valuation. Although OpenAI has already said that we don't really know when we're gonna do this, but it might take a while. So I so they're already playing games, right? so I I'm gonna wrap this all up. This is what it comes to. This is what SpaceX I try to figure out like four objectives of SpaceX. So one We are now funding the a s a science fiction passion project with public catches some dope. Some well he's actually not even some dope. He's a horrible racist, homophobic, transphobe. He's everything you can think of. He ha he did he was he's ha he was hailing doing the hail w what do you call it? The SIG hail, hail Hitler. he's just the worst. He cut government programs that are already been linked to deaths across the world, including Yeah. He just incited a riot in Belfast, yeah. Hitler or whatever, Sig Heil, yeah. Mm-hmm. the worsening Ebola crisis is being also being attached to that because of of the funti cut. The second the second objective here is is he's basically now okay. The folksy narrative here is that Starlink. Let's talk about Starlink. The folksy narrative here is it's giving it's internet for for rural folks and right and for people on airplanes and and right? Elon Musk is such a good dude, right? And Yeah, yeah. Mhm. Airplane people I was worried about, but yeah, fin finally. Yeah. But the real objective here is he's becoming sort of this irreplaceable part of the government. He's like he's an irreplaceable part of the Pentagon. Like right, I mean, he he's already created something called Project Starshield, which are satellites that are the foundation of a a a militarized version of of a network of government. Here's the point. He's embedded himself in the US government with all in the US military i It it's gonna be it's too big to to to take apart. There's no checks and balances anyway. so that's the second objective. The third objective is it's basically this orbital real estate land grab, right? He's like he is the f basically squatting in the solar system, right? His aim is Mars. I don't know if he's in a right? I mean he's he wants to launch data, data whatever. He just wants to do it all, but he's like He's a solar system squatter. The moon, yeah, data centers and The this is the Lex Luthor that I'm talking about. And finally, he here it is. He's basically building we're letting him build this borderless, lawless empire. Something that we've been hinting at many years ago that that and why we wanted people to pay attention to these CEOs and the boards that do nothing and and the structures, the share structures that let them have this power, is that these guys are building empires. They're building city-states, they're building countries. They're becoming sovereign things of their own. and and to prove my point, and and and I I I created these objectives before this article dropped, is that Iran this like this morning, I think, is threat is was threatening specifically Elon Musk's companies in the Middle East. And I and I think that's where we've come to. I I I think we're seeing the creation of a new type of nation state, right? Except that there's no Actual democracy, there's no checks and balances. There's no way I how do let me ask you this. I'll I'cause I'll wrap up this boring screed. How would we even other than like trying to violently hurt Elon, but he has like all these CEOs now have like this there's so many articles this year about all the bodyguards and all the security of these CEOs. But other than doing that, how would you even touch this empire at this point? What how could you do anything? Could you Security. Yeah. To your point, you said no one cared, so what what could you what could you even do now? Do you have any thoughts? No, I mean, look, w there I mean my honest th like while we were sleeping, they took everything. My honest thought is l like th like and and by s by sleeping, I mean while you were busy looking at your phone, like putting cat ears on your pictures and taking like f semi fake photos to make your life look amazing and sharing it with your friends and so worried about being an influencer and ha ha getting likes Yes, what's your honest thought? R right, right. W with no way in. While they fed you those addictions, in Netflix cues and all that shit, they literally took everything. And I d I'm not exaggerating. The top five companies by market cap in the world are NVIDIA, Alphabet, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon. Well that's six, right? The top f of those Instagram reels. Top six companies, NVIDIA, Alphabet, Amazon are all totalitarian companies. Half of them are are fully totalitarian. There's n not one share, one vote, a massive outsized founder. as you get down the list, Broadcom, Tesla, Meta, Saudi Arabian Oil, Berkshire, Walmart, all totalitarian companies. Every single one of them. These when I say totalitarian, I mean like one guy or two guys. They're all. Yeah, yeah, it's true. Yep. You're not exaggerating. There's no way in. There's no way in. Run it with no checks and balances, no way in, and it is the vast majority of the global market cap. So while you're looking at your phone, they took all the money and sell you worse stuff. They care nothing for you. The way out is the worst possible way out. It is literal revolution. You either You start with a consumer революцію, стоп узіння. Right, it could be a consumer revolution, right? You just we just stop. But I can't see how that actually matters anymore. Right? Like because investors have decoupled the the values of these companies from the reality of humanity, right? Like there is yeah, unfortunately I'm with you. Not to mention that there there are a lot of things now that you you cannot do with with by w offline. I mean, look, our AC, our house AC went down, and I'm finding the only way to interface is to call human beings. Because if I don't, I am waiting. Like there's one company I called, they have an AI helper, and the AI helper booked us for an appointment, and the AI helper overbooked, so someone at the company had to call us and say, Sorry, we actually can't come out when the AI said. and I I have no idea who you're talking to anymore. Yeah. yeah. Is that a real person? Yeah. And this is a company that operates like in five counties in Connecticut and that's it. What the fuck are you doing with an AI helper booking your appointments? It's so dumb to begin with, right? Well that's yeah, that's the other thing is like what are we really what what are we what what what are we what are we getting promised? What's Lex Luthor promising us here? All right, so l let's move on from that because I I made the lo the I made the Lex Luthor analogy in the first story, but I I do wanna to like the next two stories, I at least wanna like try to I don't know, shine the light on someone trying. It's funny you mentioned NVIDIA 'cause that that'll be the third part of this, but Wha w what I hate it. Yeah, please. I hate it. But the the only woman who seems to be trying to fit into the Superman costume, because Superman is the is the is the antidote to Lex Luther. We know this, if you've seen those dumb movies, right? So so so Elizabeth Warren. I I g actually I I don't know. I I could be wrong. If you're a listener or maybe you know Matt, I don't know anyone else who's trying as much as Elizabeth Warren. So so the second story of the week, I'm giving her credit. She calls on the SEC to delay SpiceX IPO. Because she has all because she has all the same concerns we have. And I know like this is an eye roll moment and it already IPO'd and and look, but the woman does try. I mean and she's specifically going after the she wrote a letter to the heads of NASDAQ, SP, the FTSE, Morningstar. I mean, she she's she's taking the right pathways. That the this is the way checks and balances was is supposed to be. And she and this isn't the first instance of her doing this. Didn't work. But to your point, all of them. Footsie, Nasdaq, Morningstar, none of them had anything to say. But but let's give a little bit of credit, I guess, to the SP. They decided not to change its rules regarding indexes, so they're not gonna fast track SpaceX. I i i is is that the is that a victory? I I I know. It's just it's a big shoulder shrug. I give credit to Elizabeth Warren, though. Look, it's but it's something I I appreciate that it's something. I appreciate that somebody set up a rule and then didn't break the rule because they were going to make a tremendous amount amount of money by breaking the rule. They like look the point of these things, and this is the the Trump administration's great coup, which which is if you break the rule, what is the consequence? And there usually is none in real life. Well this but this is not their this isn't but this is not necessarily their great coup because actually you mentioned it before. You're talking about all all of the biggest market cap companies that are run by dictators. They're the ones who created this model. You break you break it first, and and by the time anyone notices or there's nothing you could do about it. Like the Uber one is the al always the one I think of. You completely destroy the transportation network in a city and Y yes, one hundred percent. And b by the time the city knows how to how to react and they go through all the proper channels, the the people in the city are all used to using it and they're angry at you for trying to stop it because you know, it's like the there's just no you it's just it's you break it. You just break it first and keep moving, right? But I'm just glad that somebody said, Yeah, we set up some index rules. Like the reason why we set up those index rules are good reasons. Why do you think h how do you think we should go we should talk more about S P next week 'cause I I wonder what it is about S P that made them different in that list. But I'm gonna okay, that's the second story of week. And I'm gonna stick with this for the third story of the week, 'cause I I already know what story you're probably gonna pick, so I I didn't know what else to pick. I honestly it i th there's just s the the headlines are flooded with this IPO craziness, this anthropic open AI SpaceX crap. So the third story of the week Sticking with Elizabeth Warren. This is no coincidence. Democrats ask Goldman Sachs, CEO, why he's keeping lawyer who said she'd resign over ties to Epstein. Got God, I love you, Elizabeth Warren, for sticking with this story. So we covered this extensively back in February. We covered the 8K. remember her name is it's Rumler. What's her first name? Kathy Rumler. So Jesus, she's everywhere. Like Kathy, yeah, Kathy Romer. She she had this horrible relationship with Epstein, Jeffrey Epstein. So bad that she, in fact, educated Epstein in how the law differentiates between underage victims of sex crimes and adult prostitutes. She called him Uncle Jeffy. She got so many gifts. This is just a horrible, horrible relationship. And and remember at the time DJ D. Saul at Goldman Sachs reluctantly accepted her resignation, right? And w yeah. Yeah, accepted the resignation, yeah. And we talked about they didn't fire her for being a horrible human being. They should have fired her in disgrace and given her no severance. But actually, they reluctantly accepted her resignation. They let her stay until June 30th. That was in the filing. And now Goldman Sachs has been suggesting that actually we're gonna keep her as an advisor. So Elizabeth Warren is like, what the f F? Wha what are you doing? Like, you you cannot c I need at least respond to this. Like you Yeah. And I know like you can laugh at Elizabeth Warren because you know what i there is no effect here. Like nothing's gonna happen here. There's no cause and effect. But if if if even ten percent of the Congress, of the of the Senate and House had her guts, something would change. Things would move a little bit. Go ahead. Go ahead. Sure. Nah, here here's my only problem with Elizabeth Warren's approach to all these things. She writes a bunch of letters. She's very good at writing a bunch of letters. Wait wait for them to do the thing and then investigate and sue. Sue. Right? Like like like why wouldn't you go to Goldman Sachs and say you are currently aiding an What is what is she supposed to do? She's one senator out of a hundred senators. Put in jail. Sa sue. Okay. and abetting someone who's a known associate of Jeffrey Epstein, we're going to investigate Goldman Sachs for like you are like why wouldn't you isn't that the Trump playbook? You basically just find some flimsy excuse to investigate and extort. And why don't why don't the fucking liberals in this country do the same exact thing? Why wouldn't they go to SpaceX, go to Nasdaq now, now that it's IPO'd and said we want to see all the documentation Yeah. Between you and SpaceX in a conversation about getting them on an index fast track if it exists. Not only that, we want to see exactly all the rules that you broke that you set up for other companies. Which companies did you deny access to this prior that might have benefited from big IPOs or being on an index? Imagine the investigations you could just throw around. Don't stop writing fucking letters. Open a real investigation every single time. And actually like flex something. Look, I'm sure I'm sure she would if she had the support. But who knows? I mean th they're they are saying there was a headline last week saying that CEO and I think this was like a scare tactic to to to get to get business and CEOs to give even more money to the GOP, but basically I think it was an op ed from the Wall Street Journal suggesting look out, CEOs. If the Democrats win back to Congress, you're gonna get investigated a lot. You're gonna you're in trouble. So You don't need support? Yeah, that's I mean to I think that's their secret way of asking for more money to beat the Democrats, but No, that's that's the playbook that the current conservatives are using that the you've opened up that here and here's the problem with the Democrats in the in the United States right now, the liberals in the United States right now. They seem to be playing by some set of moralized rules. Like some set of rules that existed th thirty or forty years ago. No one's playing by those rules. Democrats are bad for business. Well let's not forget. Well it's funny you mentioned that because a lot of these the the people who run a lot of these institutional investors who keep who keep who who don't vote out directors, who don't vote out CEOs or also chairs, who d who don't come after Goldman Sachs and who support Tesla Paper. They they are some of the these so called liberals that you're referring to. It's not like it's all Republicans running all these institutional investors. There's plenty of Democrats in there. No, but but it's not the institutional investors the problem with institutional investors is there is in too much individual career risk to doing anything that isn't just the most expedient, least visible, do what everybody else is doing, make the money and walk away. Well, you could I think Tough. Tough. So is it only black women in America who have take risks? Yeah. Correct. Like like you basically have reduced us to a series of cohorts where you have no choice but to fight, and that's the most marginalized people. But if you want to keep making as an institutional investor that paycheck, if you're like a big asset manager, or if you work at a pension fund and you want to keep your job as a deep state bureaucrat and not get like laid off for for having a thought. But why? Why is why is it the mark you want to leave? I I I don't understand the the that's probably the stage two revolution 'cause there's a consumer revolution and then there's an employee revolution. The employee revolution is guess what? I'm not gonna work here anymore. You can't replace us all. You literally can't. Yeah. Or or I'm gonna or I'm gonna save some money in case I get fired, but I'm gonna I'm gonna like try to do something. But the allure of the money is so high. This there they reported that there are four thousand four hundred SpaceX employees that are now millionaires. And those people are not building SpaceX for the benefit of humanity. They are building it for the benefit of Elon Musk. They are willing to bend to to their knee to the cult of Musk so that they are a millionaire. That's it. Full stop. They want to build something cool with Elon. Yeah. Yes, of course. One man. Yes. Yep. All right. That's the third story. So I have two I have the the Bro I IPO nightmare and I have two from Elizabeth Warren. Then I'm gonna end on something lighthearted because I I just wanted to. The I just the so we finally so we covered this we've been covering this for a while. I remember Trump he was gonna sell phones to his people. As story of the week. Yeah, yeah. The Trump phone. First first they were gonna be built in America and they're they're gonna be the bet better than Apples and i they were delayed for like over a year. anyway. so they finally got the the phones finally come out. This website, this repair company called iFix It, which they often do. They they do teardowns of products and they they look at the insides. So a teardown of Trump phone reveals an incredibly embarrassing secret, and the secret is is that it's basically an entirely unmodified H T C U twenty four Pro, a two year old and mid tier Android phone built in China that has a g cheap coat of gold coloration. That's it. I love that. I like that th th they took someone they took a phone they found and spray painted it. That's what they did. That's what they did. That's ex that's exactly what they d this is like the and I and I know this is stupid and silly, but to me this is like this is really the the perfect encapsulation of everything we're talking. Because i is that not really what's happening with Tesla and and SpaceX? I it to me it just seems like the same damn thing. You're just you're just you're just taking advantage of of of undereducated people, I guess. Or I don't even know. Or people who've stopped caring. Apathy, I don't even know. I don't know what it is you're taking advantage of. Greed, maybe? I I I don't know. I it isn't AI just like people spray painted like technology, right? I I yeah. You know It's worse because it's because it's spray painted not just on their scalps, but like in their brain 'cause it's actually stopping the brain from working, right? It's like clogging neural networks or something like I yeah, something bad's happening there, but That is, that is true. Yeah. Yeah. Alright, so you're giving me the options of the basically the SpaceX IPO, the bro brotopia, Senator Warren twice writing letters or asking questions, and then the Trump phones a joke. Those are those are my options. Yeah. Sh Lex Luther's Superman, Superwoman, Supergirl. Yeah. Well someone has to do actual ESG work around here. It was the people at iFixit. They're looking into things. I I'm gonna g I I think I have to go begrudgingly with the Brotopia. I mean I think we're at the peak, right? I the I don't think open AI is the peak. This is the peak because there is no cult like the cult of Musk. And there Well what do mean it's all the it's all the peak. This all happened in the same week. What are you talking about? All right? but they but the when the other IPOs come out, they're all going to be second rate IPOs relative to the SpaceX IPO. Give me a prediction. Give me a prediction here. We know w w what do you think the actually the the share and ownership structure at Anthropic Anthropic is like pretending to be the adults? they're a B core. They're a B Corp. There are they're certified B Corp currently. So if you look if you when the S one becomes not confidential, if they if there's a suggestion that they're moving from being a B Corp, I think the rules are of a B Corp is you can't have dual class shares. I'm not sure that you're allowed to. So I I think Anthropic might end up being like a regular company and be an adult in the room. I hope that's true, right? the only adult. Except of course except of course they're building models so powerful that they also just warned this week that like, hey hey everyone, AI is gonna start to build its own AI models. Like we're like they're actually like we can't really control them pretty soon. Well, they they're they do subscribe to the Mark Zuckerberg playbook of, you know, we can't help ourselves. Somebody's gotta stop us, right? Like so regulate us, please. Yeah, exactly. And like they're warning us, like this is getting out of control, but we're not gonna but we gotta keep going here. Yeah. I mean we didn't pull off the off switch yet, but like it is out of control. It's nuts. but open AI is going to be the biggest loser. I think the I think the open AI is gonna be a big loser. Right. God. All right. Let's let's move on. That's that's the reports are right now. Look, this this is why those brave women tried to c actually they did. They had a successful coup d'etat like a couple years ago. They got rid of Sam Altman for two days, but they did it. But this is why they were a warning, 'cause he is the ultimate emperor with no clothes, I guess. I mean yeah. So all right, so let's move on. We gotta move on. Yeah. It it worked for a couple of days. He's such a sociopath. Yeah. Alright, let's go on to goodliest. Man Yeah. And there's only like one good thing that I have on here. Woo, I'm exhausted. My I have one good thing too, and it's not even really good. It's just sort of like kinda not bad. I'll go with mine first. Google Google and Meta denied new trial in youth social media addiction case. That that's good, I guess, right? They appealed. Remember, we talked about a lot about this a few weeks ago. That that they that what they did is they went after the algorithm, right? They they went after the the algorithm was addicting people, so they so it was a way of avoiding Yeah, do yours first then. Yeah. The like button, yeah. Section two hundred thirty. section what is it called section two thirty and and they won and and of course Google and Meta immediately appealed and they the court said no. So that's it. It's over now, right? You can't appeal again, can you? You can? I didn't think you could go above I didn't know you could keep going. great. So they're gonna get there and then John John Roberts is gonna I know. I know. Hey the y Well No, they can appeal up beyond that, I think. I think you just keep appealing until the Supreme Court denies your appeal. Like I love though that the celebration the good thing in the last week that happened is s like some court did not take the appeal. This could be the third s soft revolution. I mean, I I always say like peop I I don't travel as much as I used to, but when I used to travel, I used to tell people that that maybe the only good the only thing that the United States has gotten right is that is that we've actually kind of people don't smoke as much. You don't see a lot of cigarettes here, although with vaping, I don't know. But we actually we've controlled the tobacco companies pretty well. Like people you don't see kids with cigarettes it's you know, we that's the only thing I can think of, right? It it took thirty years to do that. Okay, but that's the only thing I could think of. So maybe they always keep saying, Are we at a is is big data, is big tech, are they are they having their tobacco moment? You know, is are these court cases gonna a precedent for something? Look. You're on to something in as much as like everybody just they you need to put down your phone and get off the internet. Like like have some internet free hours. I spent some time while you were gone, like lifting rocks around my yard that needed to be moved and fixing some stuff, like doing yard work. No, I mean like it like we had a retaining wall that was we had a retaining wall that was breaking. I had to rebuild it and use field rocks and there is There's nothing good on there anyway, it's not that exciting. Needed to be moved. You wanted to move them. Which I applaud you. It's better than being on your phone. Yeah. You could've let your house collapse into a into a chasm. I'm gonna say this, and this is dumb and everybody knows it, and I know it's like c sort of glorifies manual labor, which is not what I'm trying to do. But there is a d satisfaction that comes with having done something not sitting in front of a computer, right? Like Well yeah. Well even they say that even about exercise, right? It's like it's it's hard to be depress when you're feeling depressed and you just work out for like a half hour, it it it does like it's weirdly hard to be depressed when you're moving your body, yeah. It does a thing. Like go outside and dig a hole. Like you'll come inside and you'll be like, I made that hole. And there is something about that that is satisfying. Just try it. Just try it is all I'm saying. All right, my goodliest. Here's that line. In the dig a hole. Yes. The sad attempt at getting rid of of meta platforms is Matt telling you to dig a hole. In the United States, solar energy is outpacing coal for the first time ever. Yeah. I I give it the first time ever. But yeah, but I thought Trump was putting money into coal now. Isn't he throwing He's just announced like multiple investments in coal, but what this what this was was solar energy. The output of solar was higher than the output of coal for the first time ever. And the the energy's cheaper and it's also like you can have it in more places. It like everything everything's great about it. Yeah. Okay. the output. Okay. Got it. Yeah, you can do more with it. I know in New England, in my state they j in my state they just I think this is all many places in New England maybe, but they just said it's okay to to basically p have your own solar panels, consumer bought solar panels, and that you can feed that energy into your home energy network or whatever. I don't know. I can't believe that was illegal but Well the the i not only was it illegal in Connecticut, where I am, they they we have to go ask permission from the utility to put solar panels on our houses. That that's not a joke. We have to fucking ask the utility for permission. And they can deny you on the grounds that it's quote unquote not safe f in in the in in the grid. Like like it's so make believe. Unbelievable. Yeah. Yeah. huh. Well that's like didn't didn't Trump call what remember he tried to get rid of those the wind energy on the coast of New England because he said it was like a a military it was a military risk. Yeah. Alright, let's let's keep going. What did we vote on Goodliist? Alright, go ahead. Wait, that's who you have to appeal to in Connecticut? A publicly traded utility. Ugh. Yeah. Yeah. I'm gonna pull up look look at look at this. I'm gonna I'm pulling up Eversource Energy, my energy company right now. That's why I have to bend the fucking knee to that. In fact, the our HVAC system crapped out. We have to go to Eversource Energy to ask them if we qualify for a rebate on a new system, and then the Connecticut state will give you a special environmental loan for it. That's that's how nice Joseph Nolan, the CEO of Eversource Energy is. Oof. my god. is. who's also happens to be on the board of NB Bank Corp. So like this is a guy who's s supplied investors a three seventy one overall batting average. He like investors get nothing for this fucking company. Well. Not to mention your your third biggest influencer, director ever sources someone that we've talked about. It's someone Daniel Nova at Har he's also at Harley Davidson. Harley Davidson 'cause we talked about them with the D E I flip flopping, didn't we? Yeah. with the DEI flipping. Yeah, and he's got eleven percent influence there. Like these these people are such a protected class of asshole. It's The This it but this is this is why I find the the database at Free Flow Analytics so important 'cause because again, like it it humanizes this world, right? I mean when you w w w when you listen to what Matt is saying is that he has to go appeal to this y publicly traded utility company Ever Source Energy and with one click I found that one of their directors is is on the board of Harley Davidson who you know, responsible for basically telling women and and black people to to go to hell. I dunno, it's just this stuff's important. There are people making decisions here. I mean, the second most important the like influential person on this board actually is that he's on the boards of Mass Mutual Life and Liberty Mutual. So like these are the so so basically I have to ask a guy who sits on the board of two insurance companies whether or not I'm allowed to put a fucking solar panel on my house. And I I have to like beg Joseph Nolan, who's got nearly 30% influence on the board and runs this company, whether or not it's okay to I people love those companies, yeah. If my HVAC unit it qualifies for a state rebate, not an ever source rebate, a state rebate. Meanwhile, our the vote predictor model expects that every one of these board members will get at least 93% support from investors. I have to go bend the fucking knee as a person to them, and investors could give a shit. They could give a shit about it at all. all right, so that was goodliest, right? Right. Yeah. let's move on. Let's move on. Yeah, I think it it got derailed there. Let's go to assholes. Yeah. I felt good for a moment though. I I like that solar energy beating coal, that's good. Yeah? All right. What are you doing? How am I involved? Am I just listening? Am I voting? That's good. Yeah, that's a good story. All right, we're gonna do an asshole speed round. Okay. I'm gonna give you the headline, and you're gonna give me a quick zero to ten on how big of an asshole this is. And at the end, we'll see what it is. All right, here's the head here's I'll give you the name of the asshole and the headline. I will give as little exposition as possible. Number one BP, their useless reactionary board of directors. Here's the headline. Let's go. I love it. I love being involved. BP drops net zero division in wake of of boardroom. They had a division of people that were working they dropped the whole thing and BP's new CEO Meg O'Neal rips up the energy giants playbook and the green era with it. Division. W they broke they dropped the whole thing. Jesus. my god. What? Why? i is z is this the reason why the the chair was was supposedly had conduct problems? Is this why he was pushed out? Do you think he was pro green? I mean He was the green guy? you just threw a you just threw a mega twist at me. But don't you think though, I mean th there must don't you think it was a power struggle? What? Yes. Yeah, but maybe sh maybe he was maybe he had too much power on that board. I don't know. Maybe they Didn't he pick her? Didn't he help pick her? He had fifteen percent of the influence on that board. because the the the the data hasn't been update. it's a interesting point, actually. Yeah. The timing seems weird to me. The 'cause we've 'cause I know we this is purely anecdote we don't we it's anecdotal evidence. I don't have any hard facts here, but d you can't tell me there that there aren't like every boardroom and company doesn't have these type of bully blowhards that that have horrible conduct. I mean they just suddenly discovered this about the chair at BP and pushed him out. I it just seems like a weird coincidence, but Well working against you is the fact that Albert Manifold, who's the ex board ex board chair that you're referencing here, who's pushed out a couple of weeks ago, has I think the lowest carbon score batting average of the entire board. So Mm-hmm. Who was pushed out a couple of weeks ago, bro? Okay, well, I don't know. I don't know. I don't look, I don't get it. Again, I don't get how BP can't figure out how to make money off of green energy. Like it is it is asinine. Honestly. Right? I mean, considering their biggest markets are the US and and Europe, two markets worth tons of people who want to spend money on green energy things and projects. Like it i is crazy. I you're you're I don't understand it. I don't I this is a I'm just triggered by this. I'm just going right up to a ten on this one. I just I in fact I was thinking, the the former CEO of Exxon, Lee Raymond, who this this other idiot yes, okay, so this is what I was thinking, 'cause I was I was I was like getting a little too deep into the Lex Luthor Elon Musk world where we have no way of affecting anything anymore. And if we've all let it happen, right? Even the the good meaning corporate governance people Didn't he just die? He just died. Yeah. They all sit on their hands and they're all so polite and they they file these polite shareholder proposals and they they do they they say polite things on on LinkedIn and whatever they're just very polite and they're all probably rich and no one's trying to really do anything anymore. So now we're left with this, right? Okay, I know, I'm sorry. You're right. It's not fair, but I'm just feeling a little bit extra triggered this moment. So but I thought to myself, Lee Raymond, former CEO of Exxon, who who infamously thought climate change was a big joke. That's not fair. I know some of were trying stuff. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Right. He thought like yeah. He he he was one of the w the loudest blowhards about it. Yeah. Don't they all they all think that. Yeah. He was bad. He they fought they they secretly funded stuff. Yeah. So he dies, and I think, that's it. That's our only hope here is waiting for people to die. That's it, right? That's all we have. We have time. That that's our only weapon is time. Is we have to sit back and wait for trillionaire Elon Musk to maybe maybe die. Although he'll probably develop something that keeps him alive forever or something or Yeah. All right. I'm slowing down the game again. Ten. Wow. That's ph Yeah, well Peter Thiel has anything to say about it. They're gonna be freezing their heads. All right. So what's your do you have a instant reaction to that? Ten. All right. This is gonna be all tens. how about this headline? from this is this is CEO Michael O'Leary, who you might recognize his name from Ryanair. Biggest blowhard. headline Ryanair investigated over charging parents to sit I mean B P you' you're you're you're terrible. Yeah. yeah. We talk about him all the time. He's he's one of the most famous CEOs in Europe. Yeah. With children. Well but this is this is the EU i who is doing this? Who's investigating? Is it Ireland? Well this is the EU just doing good things that we never do here anymore because this is not just Ryanair, let's be f let's be fair. All airlines do this now. The EU, yeah, it's it's yeah it's an EU. I think the UK is actually doing it, yeah. But y so we had this exact experience. You have to beg the w you have to beg the people at the gate to help you out because you do you have to pay more in advance to get to to sit with your family members. it's horrible. It's horrible. Like w we flew to Italy like three years ago with a six year old and they put the six no, they this was some other airline. They put the six year old like ten seats away from the parents and we went to the front and we were like, what the fuck? Like w so who's gonna take care of the six year old? Like you w like you are you going to do it? And we had to we literally had to argue to not pay extra to sit next to a six year old. And it wasn't Ryanair though, right? Why? Why would they do that? Yeah. Yeah, it's nuts. So give me a score. you know, I I can't fully blame Ryanair and Michael O'Leary, but it's a five. What am I what am I voting on? How big of an asshole they are for doing this? Well, it's five for it's five for O'Leary, it's eight for the industry, the airline industry. Okay, I don't even know what I'm going on. It's hard to get that mad considering what's happening with like like Elon Musk, it's hard to get that mad at that. Yeah. No, I'm I'm triggered by it. I'm triggered by wow. I just Asshole, yeah. S size of the asshole. Size the asshole. I'm not doing that. I'm just giving it a five. All right. How about Eevee killing? Well, you have your your kids are old. Your your kids are old now too. This is infuriating to parents. Eva Eevee killing GM CEO Mary Barra. How about this? GM is pivoting its battery expertise toward powering AI data centers. What? Ri but while gas is over four dollars a gallon in most states? Stop. Yeah. So rather than taking all the expertise that they got from EVs and making EVs that people want, they are using it now to power data centers that no one fucking wants. I don't get it. This is this angers me like the B P story because here's an I drive by gas stations every day in my electric car and I'm like, why don't they have chargers out there? Like w they could just be making money off that too. Why are we not making money off of every different angle of transportation? Like why are we why are we why are we blocking out EVs? W because we figured out a way to make No no we figured out a way to make money without doing work. Like s it's like SpaceX loses money and they're minting millionaires. Like Tesla is a meme stock. Like so so what what's your score for that? Yeah. That's unbelievable. Mary Bear, I don't I don't understand. I i I think it's a ten. I love it. how about every company that has fired employees and replaced them with AI? Any we've been talking about companies r firing employees for the last two years and saying it's for cost cutting and get rid of employees. I'm it's not a headline. This is this is the group of this is the asshole. This is the headline. Unfortunate company accidentally blows half a billion dollars on Claude in one month, and it was part of a series of Huh? Yeah. every company you're saying. It's not a headline. You're saying that's the okay, that's the topic. Okay, got it, got it. Wha what? What company is this? This is a publicly Yeah. Well I keep I keep reading these horrible stories that they're now paying more for like AI tokens than they are for p employee benefits. Yeah. I mean we're we're we're out of whack. We're out of whack. AI sticker shock hits corporate America. Yes, token maxing. Yes. So so this is this is the pro this is the thing. This is the trade that companies had th that no one is paying attention to. That we talked about, but no one really cares about until it actually happens. Which is to say you had a whole bunch of employees. Those are human beings. They have job let you're giving them jobs. They Rely on your company. They're they're some of them are gonna be loyal, some of them are gonna be assholes, they some will be very productive, some less productive, whatever. But you have a group of people that basically are bought in or need your job, right? What you've done is you've cut them all out and replaced them not with AI, you've replaced them with four people Sam Altman, Dario Amoti, the Sergei Larry pairing. And Elon Musk, like the major providers of AI. So you took 10,000 people and replaced them with the whims of four dictators. That's it. That's that that was the trade. Now they're waking up and realizing, shit, we traded for this, and it's really fucking expensive when one of those four dictators decides this is what we're gonna do now. yeah. Yeah the the And we can't get the ten thousand people back. You can't go out and just bring back and have it be okay. Well here's the thing. Here's the thing though, like you're what you're talking about is the the the the the short termism of the market, right? It's like the the CEO tenures have shrunk. They they they make we we all we track these huge golden hellos, these whole huge golden parachutes. They have there is no incentive to do anything that lasts beyond like a a one year time horizon anymore. i right? 'Cause they can make all their money quickly and get out. The the the whole idea of long term decision making is doesn't seem to exist anymore. Like I everyone it just knee jerk reactions constantly. No of course it doesn't exist. But it doesn't exist for a specific reason. Another reason we talked about for the last two years, up until very recently, announcing that you were going to do something because of AI, like cut a division or whatever, boosted the stock price. And when you boosted the stock price, a few people at the top of the corporation benefit from it. Just like with buybacks, just like with you get these short term boosts. And the people who benefit mo most are like five executives at the company. Yeah, the stock price will go up. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Alright. Yeah. This speed round is slowing down. I mean that's a I I gotta go in light of everything, in light of the the IP auc IP A c bullips. What's it called? Bro it's a ten. It's a ten. For that short term boost. So the So give me a give me a number. Give me a number. Give me a number. As a 10. How about here's the asshole? Everything out of Alex Carp's fat mouth. Here's the headline. Palantir CEO Alex Carp. Palantir CEO Alex Carp says executives who brag about their AI cuts might as well sign up for the Bernie Sanders manifesto. he he thinks they're basically guaranteeing a socialist movement in the United States if you keep bragging about AI cuts that you make. He's a scary he's a scary guy. Yeah. What is he saying now? This is the Palantir CEO, Alex Carp. What does that mean? because they're because they're putting attention on the fact that they're screwing over workers? Is that it? Yeah, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then Palantir CEO says AI companies don't understand how unlikable they are. Didn't he say in an earnings call like six months ago what an AI company Palantir is? Like it w Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. By the way, Alex Carp, proving that you're an idiot, the thing about I I th the joke. First of all, it's your people in your dictator world that write manifestos, right? It's the Mark and Drees. It's the people that you can't touch. You there there are there are no checks and balances to get at your people who actually write the manifest the thing about Bernie Sanders that you don't understand and that your your your joke belittles is that Yeah, nobody else writes a manifesto, yeah. I I know the the manifest manifesto is meant you you're suggesting that he's a communist or something. He's a he's a democratically elected socialist is what he is. He has been elected by the people in his state. That's why he's there. If they if they stopped voting him in, he would leave. And if he got less than the majority, less than the the next person, the they can't reject his his resignation. Like he he has to leave. The board there's no board of the of Vermont that says despite what the voters said, we're gonna keep Bernie Sanders on. Like so so the joke falls flat, Alex. You know what I'm trying I I Well there there's no there's no board palantir that really says anything at all 'cause there are a bunch of I'm not putting I'm not putting it well, but but the whole joke, y Alex Grab, you're a dope. It's a ten. All right. It's a ten. Well, I knew I could just write Alex Carp there and get a ten out of you. Alright. Sorry, Liz. Elizabeth Sand or Elizabeth Warren. This is actually investors' job. The headline that you already talked about, Senator Warren calls on SEC to delay SpaceX IPO, flagging concerns about valuation and governance. It Elizabeth Warren, stop like stop being an asshole and writing letters. Just fucking do a thing or Yeah, bit done. Keep going. That's not necessarily true, is it? no. No. Hey, a Anytime you know when you you know when you're young and I mean not that my life is perfect now, but you know when you're young and like everything you do is like you you suck at, you messing up, every everything is a potential like you know, you you're not paying you can't pay your rent or or like y you accidentally like put a hole in the wall in your dumb apartment and the the everyone always tells you is you create a paper trail. Like it It's this is this is supposed to be investors' job. It is. You you write your landlord and you ha you you save the the response. You gotta create a paper trail if there's gonna be some kind of a dispute down the line. She I think she's doing it in the right way. She's writing letters, having a paper trail, building evidence, but this is part of of how investigations and lawsuits work. What's the right a paper trail? So what, f 35 years from now we can finally depose King Musk? Like what what are we doing? We don't have time for this. Look, I know, I know, it's old fashioned but admit admit it's the right way. I alright, I said zero. Let's move on. Elizabeth Warren, you cannot call her an asshole. How dare you. Ten. Move on. wow, wow. How about every investor in the SpaceX IPO? Because even while Liz Warren is it is writing letters about how this every investor does not care. Just the headlines for reference. Franklin Templeton to participate in SpaceX IPO, CEO Johnson tells CNBC. SpaceX IPO demand is approaching four times oversubscribed. Wall Street's undignified SpaceX Mania. President hints at Tesla merger, that might make Elon's life a little easier. Yeah, let's make a trillionaire's life easier. Yeah, you know, one thing I didn't even one thing I didn't even mention is that it's even like our academic institutions. w I saw University of Washington and University of North Carolina both up to over over ten percent of their assets are invested in SpaceX. I mean, it's like nobody cares. As l as long as they can have some return on their investment, that's despite the fact that you're funding this guy to to st to take over the universe. Yeah, he's had a hard life. Yeah, good. I mean another six percent is bet on black. So like whatever. how about billionaires? Here's the headline billionaires' billions are increasing faster than ever. Unbelievable. Yeah, that's a ten. Move on. Well, it's a clear ten. I mean, come on. I mean even the b even a lot of the billionaires warn us that income inequality is basically gonna it's it's all gonna come crumbling down if if income inequality continues at this pace. And it it's not even to your point, it's it's an exponential pace. It's a it's a frightening pace. How about this? Beef. Yeah. Beef like cow. And and this in order to get this asshole, you have to contrast beef with Ebola. The headline is Elon Musk faces backlash as horrific Texas screw worm outbreak follows brutal doge budget cuts. Uh-huh, what? I heard about these screw worms. I yeah, these screw worms are are frightening. They eat flesh, right? They eat cow flesh. But here's the insane part. There has been like mass mobilization in Texas to stop the screw worm from eating cows. Yeah. Yeah, of course. That that's why we haven't had these problems. And there is no outcry the fact that we have the largest Ebola outbreak because the US was central to monitoring Ebola outbreaks, helping provide vaccine access. Weak value the fucking steak you're gonna eat tonight significantly more than the over five hundred cases of dead people from Ebola. Yeah. Well it's it's in Africa, yeah. Hey. I mean we're already at point where the where history at least, you know, it's only two years after, but history is is historians are are are already suggesting that without Elon Musk's help, Trump doesn't win that election, right? And and and we and he just went on record this week, Elon Musk, saying that the only reason why he turned right wing and got angry is because of his trans daughter. That's it. He got he admitted Yeah, I think there's more than that. No, but I'm saying he that's what he said. He said he got tweaked by his by his transphobia, his hate of trans people, and he basically lost his mind and went right wing. That's what he's saying. So ten. That is a dollar ten. I don't trust anything he says either. Alright, and last, number ten, Mark. here Zuck, yeah. Zuck is avoiding the headlines because the SpaceX IPO is distracting us, but here's the headline. And Anthropic and all the yeah. Meta furious over bombshell smart glasses revelation. The smart graph Except for Elizabeth Warren, yeah. Zucky. Yeah. and and open AI and and yeah, like he he's he's hiding, yeah. And China, don't forget China. He used to blame China. I don't know what that is. Glasses Revelation Wired. There's still news being reported in places, and and Wired as an actual magazine that you can like pick up, right? Wired deconstructed the meta glass smart glasses, like the Ray-Ban things. Like the smart. Yeah, exactly. And what they found in the code of the app was meta. Okay. Wired's good, yeah. Covered the tech industry pretty well, yeah. kinda like the phone kinda like the Trump phone, but a a little more sophisticated. Yeah. Had moved to infuse facial recognition technology into the smart glasses. They did not turn it on, but they found a piece of code that will allow them to basically create biometric signatures of everyone you look at and store it that mm and meta can see it. Of course. Yeah. Course. Yes. Of course. Wha what's he mad about? But we knew this was coming. That's the thing, is that w but that that's I I I'm gonna circle back to the beginning of the show. Everyone knows this is coming, but somehow collectively lost interest all at once because there are celebrities watching basketball games in New York City. Like I don't even know why yeah Here no But here's the here's the part that like that makes it so insidious. Because you're wearing the glasses, it doesn't affect you individually. So you your your in your incentive is to care less. But some asshole walks by me wearing those glasses. Do I am I in the right to punch them in their fucking face because of my privacy? I get it. I get it. Yes, obviously. Well people are aren't people like aren't people like attacking Waymo's? I mean like isn't that the descent into pure anarchy when everyone else is armed with like privacy invading shit and we're angry at them and not Mark Zuckerberg? Yes, absolutely. unfortunately, yes. But you're right, the the vo the zone has been flooded that it people have become just a hundred percent apathetic. They they know deep they know deep down these things are wrong, but but apathy reigns. That's a ten obviously. All right, so that that makes it hard because there's an eight way tie for Asshole of the Week. Let's finish up with headlines, winners, and predictions. Okay, let's move on. I can't take it anymore. I can't take it. I I at least have a light hearted one. My headline is of the week, I love these good old-fashioned corporate governance headlines. U UBS CEO Sergio Ermati hopes to step down before 2030. There's a market market breaking news there. You know, I I shouldn't make fun of this because I was I was railing against short termism, right? Publicly traded companies, but this is some great long-term planning. And you know what's still gonna happen? I will bet money on it. Ooh, hopes and before. That is good. Yeah. Haz (01:00:01.022) That when he steps down in twenty thirty, the board of directors still won't be ready, we won't have a succession plan in place. Matt (01:00:06.732) Yeah, no, they will. They're gonna put the board chair in as CEO. That's it just it's just gonna be like your turn. I have two. the first one is well f one is furious judge cancels entire trial after finding out lawyers on both sides used AI. I just I I didn't look. I it is it is it is a female judge. Haz (01:00:09.703) they'll just put the Yeah, right. Yeah. What do you got? Bet they better make me happy. Haz (01:00:25.123) is it a is it a female judge? It's usually women. The women are like the only ones fighting back. It is. There you go. You know what's incredible? We we monitor f female leadership in any direction we can here at this company. And and you know what? It doesn't really exist. And yet they're the only ones who pop up in any story doing anything good, whether it's free child care in the state of New Mexico or or or or writing letters to the SEC. Or are are just canceling trials because lawyers have become absolute idiots. So it's always women fighting back. Matt (01:01:02.068) I j I I love that story. And the other one I f I I pulled and this one I quoted from, you can now get a religious exemption from using AI at work. Haz (01:01:04.957) Yes. Go ahead. Haz (01:01:12.253) Well c do I have to prove what the religion is? What if my religion is like Satanism or something? Any r anything? Matt (01:01:16.748) Yeah, well some s you know, some dude how d what prove your religion. Some dude went in and basically said I d I shouldn't have to use AI because Pope Leo said that AI is evil. This is the quote from the article. Haz (01:01:23.303) Yeah. But you'll get fired, won't you? I I won't they fire you for something else? Haz (01:01:31.313) Yes. From Chicago. White Sox fan. Yeah. Matt (01:01:37.137) the funniest possible outcome of the AI mandate era is about to be HR departments discovering that sincerely held religious belief under Title VII has a much lower bar than they assumed, and Pope Leo handed every Catholic employee a written excuse, tweeted San Francisco-based startup founder Corey Quinn. I love that. I love this. And then Haz (01:01:53.873) Yeah. I don't know. Come on. Everyone's at will. Everyone's at will. They can fire you anyway. Can't they fire you for smelling like bacon? Matt (01:02:05.227) Then where where is Leonard Leo f like the the the fucking conservative guy who who was the lawyer behind killing affirmative action? That's when the lawsuits start say you s you should be immediately bring a lawsuit saying you discriminated based on my s my religious beliefs. I think that's the guy's name, yeah. Yeah. who won the week for you? Haz (01:02:15.987) yeah. Sh in in yeah. Haz (01:02:23.869) Was it really Leonard Leo? Really? Pope Leo and Leonard Leo? clearly the easy winner. It's the HTC U twenty four Pro, a two year old and mid tier Android phone. Or maybe or maybe it was the gold the cheap gold paint. Was it is it the paint? Okay, it's the paint. It's the paint, yeah. How many days before that paint like starts to chip off, you think? Yeah. Matt (01:02:41.666) No, I think it was the paint. The paint one. The paint one. It's like one. my w my winner is everyone religious. I mean w what can't you opt out of? Is there a thing you can't opt out of? Like Haz (01:02:54.525) But okay. Alright, that's true. That's true. Well w w wasn't religion like you couldn't sell you didn't have to sell a cake to a gay person because of your religion? Matt (01:03:07.362) Yeah, exactly. If I if if I don't have to actually do my job because I don't li like like what do I what like Haz (01:03:11.879) I don't have to do anything. Yeah. Like like Bart will be the scrivener, I prefer not to. Matt (01:03:18.232) Like I could probably find some religion that's banned like t the typed word, right? Like I I there must be. In which case I'm I d I'm not allowed to do email, social media, Slack, messaging of any kind. Like it was great. predictions. Haz (01:03:24.091) Yeah. sure, of course. Haz (01:03:30.823) I like it. Yeah. Hoy vee. okay, my prediction gets serious now. Yeah, sorry. You maybe you can wrap it up in a silly way. I think that attacking dictator run companies, you know, i.e. Iran and Tesla, starts to enter the realm of normalcy. Like I I think we're here. I I yeah, yeah, actually I actually think we're here. I actually no, and I'm I'm not kidding. I actually think that Matt (01:03:51.54) War against dictator run companies. Haz (01:04:00.594) that that a attacking meta platforms or attacking Zuck's homes in Hawaii co will could be on the table in global warfare now. Matt (01:04:09.782) It's a good thing that they have such large security forces and bunkers, then. all right. My prediction is that as an atheist, I can pr I can I can say this confidently, atheists adopt a religion to opt out of the tech bro oligarchies. I really think that like like there's a large subset of people that are actually atheists and don't talk about, or at least agnostic. I think that they're just gonna come out as Haz (01:04:12.947) True. What's your prediction? Haz (01:04:20.562) Yes, go ahead. Haz (01:04:26.745) interesting. Haz (01:04:33.683) Yeah, they don't admit it. Yeah. Matt (01:04:38.67) Pick a religion that allows me to not have to do some bullshit that some tech bro oligarchy runs. That's what I'm hoping for. That's all we got. That was a lot of ranting. That's it's a lot of talking. It's a lot, it's a lot. That's Hazelnut Rawlis. I'm I'm a soul, Matt Muscari. We're back, at least for today, because next week I'm gone and maybe Damien will do some shoes and like and maybe we'll do shows again some Haz (01:04:44.242) I like it. Haz (01:04:48.979) That's all. What are you talking about? That's a lot. Well Haz (01:05:00.345) seriously, I didn't realize that. Okay. Matt (01:05:05.73) regularity later in the summer, but it's gonna be spotty. But you can see the platform is up. It's been up this entire time. So pretty soon you'll get access to it. Come back for more until then, good bye.
