These escalating costs ultimately fall on shareholders, yet there is little evidence that such proposals yield meaningful economic benefits.” Median US CEO pay hits record $16.8 million on soaring stock awards Median pay among top U.S. CEOs rose 7.5% to a record $16.8 million for 2024, a new study found, as big stock grants boosted leaders' reported earnings well beyond the pay received by U.S. workers. There it is. Yeah. Live. From your ESG. Pope filled Dei crawler. I don't know. What does that mean polkville? Wouldn't it be a crawler filled Pope? It's a business pants Friday show here at April 25th Studios, featuring analyst whole Matt mascardi. Whoo, he's back. Yeah, it's a bit of a lie because we're live streaming on Thursday and we're releasing show on Friday, on today's weekly wrap up. The death of the Doge. Pope oh, Subaru's new flip phone. And blaming China is finally cool again. Yeah, it's been a while since we've gotten to blame China for everything, funny how it kind of mirrors administration's Funny how that works. It's not that funny, I showed today is being sponsored by free float, analytics.com. The lonely platform measuring board power connections and performance for free. I love that. And I will say in case you're confused by the syntax of that statement. Not only is, it is it the only platform that measures board power connections, correct? Yeah. And at all, right. It's all the only one that does it that for free, right? They only. Does anything for free. I mean, no one does anything for free and if they do the data sucks it's just like it's kind of like dated and weird and wait, are you saying a free First Data? Sucks know I'm saying, people analytics data works. So now you got to say they're the only platform measuring board power and connections and performance for free and doesn't suck. Yeah. I mean, it doesn't have like, if someone stepped down yesterday, you know, there's a bit of a lag, we all wait for its bigger data vendors to give her to give it, you know, information. But yeah, it's just a little baby company, but you can make this baby company a big company by buying their stuff. That's that's what they're here for. That's right. On the show. Oh, are we doing it now? All right. What are we doing? First story of the week, that's what we do stores and de. Are we miss a few weeks? But I am just focusing on this week. I didn't actually go back. We actually, if you're interested in hearing the wrap up of all the stories when Matt was gone. We did a 16-hour show this week that we already released. I think clocked in, at 36 hours. By the time we were done. So here's the story of the week. This is a difficult week. I don't know why. Even though I feel I feel like there was a lot going on, but I didn't really know how to land on anything. So I'm gonna start here. CEOs to the rescue know accordingly. According to business reports a trio of top CEOs warned Trump, that tariffs will empty store shelves. They're really crediting some of the his crown, his CEO buddies and basically telling him to stop being an idiot. That because because after they met, I'll get to who they were after they met, basically Trump came out and basically changed his mind on most tariffs, at least he's done for the most part. Yeah. Said that. Now, like they're basically negotiating with China, although I think China kind of won that by saying, like, we're not playing your dumb games but also he said he's not going to fire the head of the Federal Reserve and they this is from the CEOs. And here are the three seats here, are the top three CEOs in the world. Here are the here are the the men, of course, the white men, who ruled the universe and they are and no particular order. And I'll give you a little bit of information about each of them. Target CEO. Brian Cornell. Yeah. Which is a great choice because he is the guy, he's Mr. The Gay Pride display is too expensive because there are too many colors. He's that guy. He or anti-woke now, I don't. Well, okay, so, he, he hung up some rainbows. But then, you know, the, the Bud Light Shooters told him to that, that rainbows were bad and then he got rid of them. And then he tried to hire black people and people of color and women and, and what again they were like, that's not good. That's so he hung up the rainbows and then everyone stopped buying it. So it was like three guys, shooting Bud, Light cans, were upset. He hung up the rainbows and then a million people stopped. Going mean he's in. So much trouble that he actually called someone, who was famous from the 1990s, a man named Al Sharpton. And yeah, because he's once out to solve his problems of being, you know, basically kind of a racist, you know, he's like and congrats to ALF for saying you suck. Yeah, he had to say. So, this is the guy, this is the guy that one of the trio, who is Robert his, you know, his Corporation is suffering, but I will add this, his CEO. So, pay ratio, maybe this is what Trump was looking at is 719 to 1. Yeah, baby, but that's kind of cool, right? I mean, he makes as much as the median worker before I think he even parked his car in the garage and the right in the first day. No, come on. He he has to work for two solid hours before he gets as much as the median second guy. Home, Depot Home, Depot CEO. Ted Dekker. Oh, who Charlie Munger God. Rest his soul would probably hate because he actually got a ba in English, you know? Yeah. So maybe he's a bit of a poetry reader. Could you be a top CEO with a ba in English? His CEO pay ratio is almost too woke. I don't know. It's 443 to 1. That's just, I mean, get a raise Ted, get it. Well, it's gettin's good. But the real Champion here in this list is, of course, the man who runs a family Empire and he is the wonderful Great, CEO, Doug McMillan of five. There we go, some real CEOs in here. And, and I, I respect, Trump picking him because this is the guy who basically announced a few months ago that that racism has been solved. Because back in 2020 2021, he was basically saying that systemic racism is that is the one of the main issues in our culture today in the world. But now he's saying we figured it out, we're getting rid of our Dei, finally, and his CEO to pay ratio is a beautiful 976 to 1. Congratulation for hating all of your workers. He's still munching on a bagel before when he gets paid media. And, but the real question is, why do they send Doug? Why not send someone from the Walton family? Wouldn't that been like a more powerful? The ones are are brilliant now because they still retain control of the company but no one talks about the Walton family know like except for us except for us because like the influence numbers suggest that Doug McMillan while one of the trio of top CEOs quote on quote only as 6% influence of his own company. And look it's not to say that you know, his his voice is not important, the boardroom but If Stuart Walton, you know, he's 42 year old Stuart Walton heir to the throne of everything. If he threw a fit, I think Doug would be listening. Let's just say, right, you think? Yeah, I think, yeah, I do. That's the that's the top. That's one of the top stories. Second big story. You're gonna hate this one. Elon Musk says, he's stepping back from Doge supposedly. So uh which of course you know, causes the Tesla stock to go one way or the other every day. It's going like to talk about this one. You want me to skip over it? I mean, the highlights are, he's gonna spend a couple days a week for the rest of the term, right? No, yes. This is why I picked this story. This is a stupid. Any investor in Tesla is and any any anything, any, any governance expert, who talks about Tesla? You're this is a idiotic. The whole situation is he's still, but even though he's stepping back from Doge, he's still planning to spend a day or two per week for the next four years. Well, he's already running 17 other companies. The whole thing is a joke was a joke. Oh, so it we could just skip it. Because you can't trust the thing that says he's never said anything he sticks. I know you say that too, but I was struggling to pick stories. How about this? How about the third story that we got a big fat nerdy? ESG story. I love this one. Yeah, yeah. It's one of these every week. Yeah, Business Roundtable. Urges sec to immense proxy voting process, but but maybe not. I know what you're thinking business roundtable's, very Pro, stakeholder capitalism. That's what I was what they announced and was it 2019. They announced that. Yeah, they announced that the, it wasn't just a corporation to serve shareholders. It needs to serve stakeholders, and they told us, which ones and one of the champions of that at the time was I think who was the chair of the presidential was Doug. McMillan up, not mistaken. The chair, then was Jamie Diamond immediately took over, right? He was on the board, he signed up. Like so there are there lovin' it? So here's a quote out of the business round. Able to current state of the proxy process is unsustainable. I don't know how they have information to prove that. They said, companies are being forced to divert significant resources and attention toward responding to a flood of ideology, driven shareholder, proposals resources, that would be better, spent driving long-term value creation, Matt. And again, this is kind of ironic of a funky dink of a headline because X on mobile. Just announced this last like this week last week that for the first time, in 25 years, they have zero sure earlier, proposals zero. tables paying attention to, but I'm pretty sure that So the like total number of shareholder, proposals dropped from three to 2024 and I look at all the big ones for our other show proxy content and they're continuing to go down. So we know that that number is actually going down. So and we also know that the SEC itself like estimated it was like 150,000 dollars per proposal to actually deal with, right? Which is and like the most proposals, any company really gets, you know, let's say if we include the ones that get tossed and include the way that there's 20 like let's just say there's 20 20 proposals, I mean the including the ones that gets tossed and okay negotiated away, right? Whatever let's say there's 20 yeah three million dollars a year million dollars, a Doug McMillan made 27 million in his just summary compensation last year. Just just summary comp. Well, you don't think he which significant resource are we talking about? That's getting diverted. Here's the other headline that Business Roundtable. This is also from this week that somehow they didn't include this in their press release. Median us CEO pay hits record 17 million dollars. There it is. I'm soaring stock quote so yeah, I don't know. Business Round Table, I don't really know what's going on with you sound. Maybe you're just doing the whole like Middle School, Debate Club, like all the other CEOs and because this just sounds, this makes you sound stupid is I mean the proxy process is unsustainable sustainable. Yeah, that's unsustainable. So the AI that you're using now to go through these proxies, which is probably doing 98% of the work, that's not sustainable. I mean today and this Administration you call your friend Gus. Who works at the SEC just be like Gus exclude this one and that's, that's unsustainable to you. Like I don't, I mean, you're not using one of your intern like you're interns and your legal department to take, not to mention. So the most recent data suggests that 40% of Cheryl the proposals right now are anti-woke. Yeah, can we just be? on top, can we just Like like we don't believe mistake or capitalism anymore and now is the time for a war on on shareholders on even shareholder Capital. Yeah either like this this is a soft launch to what we hope is getting rid of all voting and all annual meetings in the future. This is what we're trying to do so it's just think it's beyond that we went we went from like the one extreme which is pretending to care about stakeholders to The Other Extreme which is pretending that shareholders should even exist. Right? Like it's their presence is an unsustainable. That's correct. Yeah. That's correct. Yeah I like that. That's the third story. And finally the fourth, there's a bit of a reach but I thought I'd throw it in there because I know that you're from Rhode Island, you must be Catholic. So I just threw this in here. The ESG Pope, the ESG, Pope Pope Francis has died. Oh, you mean Oh you mean actual Pope? Who did yes. But I say I think you're referring to a person who is known as the ESG Pope. Well, he I'm calling it like a rock star. Yes, she Pope Pope because there have been like 100 of Articles over the past five years. Basically, yelling at the dude for being so, bro, ESG, so I just felt like, yeah, he is the issue Pope, is he not? I just saw the headline in the New York Times this morning about Progressive Christians or Catholics are now worried about being Catholic because really, they're Pope died. Yeah. Well, he's a Jesuit right in the Jesuits have a long history of kind of what? I know yes I'm an atheist with that. I thought you could play play along with this was the first stories. So my three options or four options here are and it's really three because I'm not gonna choose the pope CEOs to the rescue Elon Musk stepping back from Doge and business, Round Table is Cheapo. I cannot choose Elon Musk because he's this big. Yeah, I don't know. I, yeah, there's no way. He's a big, fat liar. Um, CEOs definitely did not come to the rescue because they elected this moron. Like that's like that's the other part of that story that no one wanted to talk about. Like can we can we just admit that? You people are the ones who helped put him there and now you people are coming to the rescue. It's manufactured crisis. So I'm not in on that, which leaves me with the Business Roundtable. Like, I mean, come on, they're finally coming out of the word works, we haven't heard from them in a while. Yeah. And their first thing, their first sort of like, big splash of 205 is let's stop. Having shareholder proposals at all, they're sustainable. Yeah, there's too much. It's too much. That's my story. That's my story. And I gotta say that your estimate of even if they were dealing with 20 proposals is is absurdly high. He looks like five. I bet it's like five proposals. I mean, Literally like that, you know, like the we did, we did the math on this. And and before and it's there it's basically no resources everybody's using boilerplate language. Yeah. The same thing 640 seconds and frankly, I don't even believe the estimate that it's 150,000 dollars per proposal like, yeah, nobody believes that. Yeah. Because if you're in this business long enough, it's the same as you just pointed out. It's the same damn proposal. God love you, John chevin and Jim mcritchie and and I don't know if God loves the anti-woke proponents but they might God might love them but it's all the same boilerplate nonsense. You know what they're talking about. So I think that these can handle it. It's all don't, they have like an auto responder like this, so they get the proposal. Like they've seen all of them and it just says, you're out of the office rejected. Yeah, like that's the CEOs on vacation. Yeah. So there's Auto respond to all of them. All right. Goodly. I only got one, I only have two and I don't even have any extra fluff and me neither there were others that I considered give me one question. Can you think of one you considered? Because I don't like Paris biking. One like that. What's that there's um so apparently in Paris they are doing something right. They're they're closing streets to cars. Yes. And they're replacing parking spots with trees. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I love it. Yeah, and everything. There's nothing to not like about right. Like. Um and the downside has been that Rush Hour bike traffic has doubled. That's that's upside because it's like it's great for the environment. It's great for your legs too. But it's really annoying for anyone who's like walking, you know, because it's like crazy. I suppose to the cars supposed to, I don't know. I don't know, traffic. Yeah. The other one was like, Microsoft actually, signed a carbon removal, deer deal where they're trying to do carbon capture, are you the responsible investor? Now, is that who you're working for? I'm just telling you. Those are the ones I skipped over. I didn't include those because I felt like, yeah, the Paris one's cool, but like, all right. So, so 10 guys are riding bikes more. Like, I need to celebrate something bigger. So I couldn't find much. I got one for you, I got two actually, but I'm gonna start with one that I know you're gonna. This is a pandering to you, but, but I also love it. Subaru is bringing back physical, knobs and buttons. There it is. I do need any more. No. That's the best thing. God Subaru here. Yeah. Thank you, Subaru. Yeah, mine was Tesla. Whistleblower wins legal battle against Elon Musk. What was you? Do you know what that battle was about? It? It was the battle about the schwick stickers on the the wall and the guy who was discriminated against he won, he won his lawsuit. So, um, is this the guy who they know this is not the guy that Elon Musk threatened to deport, because they know not that guy different guy. But I just like, you know, thanks for clarifying. Anybody wins the battle against the Swatch. It feels like good in 2025 like the way that sounds I don't, I don't, I feel, I'm just saying like you gotta celebrate the wins, you get yeah, I got a real one that you can actually feel good about Twinkies new owner. I didn't I should have looked up with twinkies and you owners don't even know Twinkies you know Twinkies are right? Yeah obviously yeah that was the school. Lunch. Probably that was yeah Twinkies new owner Court, a novel group of snackers Stoners. Wow. Did get good ones. I mean, is that a novel group of snackers? This isn't that is not a novel drink. Like if you're eating a Twinkie at all, you're already halfway stoned even if you're not like, you're over eight years old. Yeah, and you're eating a Twinkie. You must be stoned. Oh man, this is actually hard to pick a winner because your two are really good. I think you know what the real winner is though. Uh yeah, the real winners physical knobs. I love a good knob, I'll take a knob all day and I don't mean it in the British way. So no, I don't know, he doesn't if you're listening to the show, don't be writing me about. Knobs the British. That's not a British company. Right? Exactly. No, they're not. All right. Now we're not me. Yes, now bring this back down. Again, make us that was that was good though, cuz I did feel good for a split second time. He's a knobs. Yes, come on. Alright, so I've got five. Oh, Jesus is Jesus. One of them know Jesus, because he could be as holy. He is not okay. All right. Number one, open AI. That's an easy pick. Yeah. Do we need to go. Any, do I need to say more like, I know, say more did we did? I already cover we covered on the show this week, right? That the horrible change in their They're willingness to realistic. Critical risk models like yeah, yeah, we did cover that on Tuesday, if you don't know what Damien's talking about, get the date, download the show, download the show, they they changed their threshold for what is dangerous misinformation, they had levels like low risk, medium risk, high risk and then they had critical risk and they decided that in some circumstances. They're happy to release a model that has critical risk of misinformation and horrible effects. If someone else is or the similar model and they said and yesterday, they were only allowed to that. Their own rules would prevent them from releasing anything above a medium risk. But now, you know, now they're skipping over Matt, as you point out, their skipping over high risk is okay. And critical risk, both all the way all the way. Here's the funny part. I actually used chechi PT, I took Damien's headlines for the week. Good. I don't have to hear ya. I put that all the content from the headlines into chat GPT. Sure. And I asked chat cheap, what does that mean? Is that like a toaster? Like what are you talking about? You put it in the chat GPT. I'm leaving like copy paste, some stuff. You just drop a file on there. You copy. And I said, isn't like amazing. Give me a top five list of assholes for the week based on the content here. I love. I want to chat. You chat. Gpt's number one option? Yeah. For asshole was open AI. I'm not kidding. Does chats. Real does Chad GP should ask this chat sheepy. Teen know that open AI is the company that releases church, but I'll read to you, what? Chachi PT said about it. Go ahead. In fact, this is verbatim. This is literally what Chachi BT wrote. I didn't write any of this. This is what it said. It said the headline that they chose to highlight, as the asshole was open ai's, safety is optional strategy The name of their terrible. Yeah, it's frightening. Um, and then it's five bullet points. Launched GPT 41 4.1, which is the one I was talking to GPT 4.1 with zero safety report claiming it's not Frontier. That's one reason. Yeah. Okay, updated. Its preparedness framework to say it might lower safety standards if Rivals. That's frightening, I hate that so much former staff. Filed an amicus brief supporting Elon, musk's lawsuit saying four profit incentives, undermine safety. So their own ex-staff saying that they're under likely to undermine safe, they're trying to prevent the company from losing its its not for profit mandate. Yeah, they stopped safety testing of fine, tune models, and less released openly and then this is and then this is Chachi PT's, like editorializing this is text version of if the other kids jumped off. A bridge dot dot. Yeah, I was thinking it more like you know Mary Barra a GM gets rid of like safety glass and seat belts and so you're like okay well we should get rid of that. That's right. Seat belts, right? Like needs them. If Mary beerus says it's fine. Have no seatbelts. Why do we have seatbelts? Yeah, right. We don't like, we don't need floorboards. We don't need Windows. Well, I mean Fred Flintstone didn't have floors, right? That's what I did. Yeah. So we don't what do we need that for? Yeah. So on top of that other open AI headline was open AI considering its own social network to compete with Elon. Musk's x. Wait, so chat GPT consider that an asshole move to that. Open AI was gonna oh, yeah, that one. Yeah, I don't like that either. Yeah, we don't get more social media networks. We don't need more Sam like Sam Altman. Is another College Dropout, Texas. Got that. I forget that dropped out of Stanford. He never got a Bachelor's degree, right? Look, getting a bachelor's degree is not the most important thing in the world. I'm just saying. Why do all of the people who are like Middle School? Edible, you know wispy stash, middle school, man? Flakes, who are running this car. The world into the ground Humanity in the ground. Why did they all drop out of college every single one probably because of the the required. Ethics course. Yes, I believe that's true. So I do you remember when open AI had a board? Remember that moment when they had a board that nobody likes the moment that we celebrated for months and, and the rest of the world was that was angry at them and then they realized like a month after that, that we were right all know. Yeah, that's correct. And then everybody said we were right. Whoops, yeah, go ahead. Number two. So this is number two assholes. The first asshole was opening just open AI number two asshole blaming China. I love this. It's just three headlines, and you don't really need to say, much more Elon Musk worries. Chinese companies will fill out the world's top 10, robot makers, but claims Tesla is in, will stay number one. So, you know, Fred are we not afraid? What is that mean? I I have the same feeling I had about the Business Roundtable, not being able to support this idea that proxy voting is going to become unsustainable. Where's the proof that that China is going to take over the world and kill us all with their robots? Why is that the premise that do? They think that the Godzilla movies is real life? And it's from China and that, that's what that that's what China is doing. They're gonna send Godzilla around the step on us. I don't get this weird old fashioned racist Trope about China. Explain it. Do you understand it? I why robots bad. I don't understand. Isn't it just old-fashioned racism? Well, I don't just don't get it. I just I'm sorry, Elon. I just don't get free that the more afraid of white South African guy. Honestly making robots in a Chinese guy. I think we're afraid that the eyes of the robots will will hypnotize us and to be sure you missed. I don't that's what's happening now, right? That's that, that I believe their reports of hypnotic. Robots turning South African man. Babies into Communists, that's good. Yeah. All right, here's the other headline. Google says doj's proposal for breakup would harm us in global race with China. Yeah, right? Sure. Yeah. So by handicapping a big tech company over there in California. It's definitely gonna it's gonna harm, all of us because of China, right? I understand, that's right, because no one else you read that, right? Because Google, no one else is gonna step up to build up a crappy browser or figure out how to put ads on things or I don't even know what you do anymore. Nobody gets it's not possible. Yeah. What else to do that and then the last one was trade War. Woes Boeing stock sinks after China reportedly blocks plain delivery. Well I like that one. Yeah well but the funny part about that one is it does feel blame me like China blocks are plain deliveries and it's killing our other not supposed to fight back. What are they supposed? To do. Did they not did? And whoever wrote the article, did they not read the first part which was bowing sucks at making planes like part of it? Yeah, I mean, like yeah, are they? They're blocking them. They could be blocking him just to screw with Trump but more likely their planes suck like well, are they not? But are they not supposed to create their own leverage against Trump? Or there's just supposed to like sit around and they actually take it. Take it, I believe didn't. Um, you know, Zuckerberg just was on trial for his antitrust trial. He's he appeared and and his comments they were talking about, you know, like there's he's been talking about China for years, so it brought me back to those blame China days. Well, there are China days, they're also was I think embedded in. One of the articles about open AI basically getting rid of his safety framework was also blaming China because they were worried that if competitors were putting out models that that could also disrupt the kind of global order. So they They too blame China there. Let's just let's summarize all of it for anyone who's listening and its billionaire man babies who act like China are afraid of China. That's really all that's happening, isn't it? Like these are dual class dictators. Yeah guys, if you can't handle it, maybe you just step down. Sell your shares. Go go live, a nice little happy life on a yacht summer. Let some other companies give it a shot, right? I mean, if you can't handle it, you can't handle the competition competition. Just gets like, scaring you just give up. We don't need you anymore. We're done quit. Maybe go maybe. Go back to college, get your degree. No shut, right? Read some Jane Eyre. That's so woke. All right. Number three. So so we got open Ai and blaming and number three, whiskey stash middle school, man, flakes, who are going to make you like them whether or not you want to, I don't understand that. Go ahead. All right, well, look, I just there were like 10 headlines this week. And while I was gone about these These fucking man flakes, who were just demanding that you like them. It's Middle School. It's how it kind of the social order worked in Middle School. Like like here. Here's a good one, right? Elon Musk reportedly sends DMS on Twitter offering women the chance to have his babies. That sounds terrible. He's just sending messages to be people being like, have my babies, please. Like, why would you not? You know, I actually believe that headline to be real. Ah, well, he also he also, there were headlines this week about how he was. He killed the followers, and the views of far-right, like super conservative influencers, who didn't agree with him called him out. Well, it's like, man. He it's his company but what we're gonna like he already forced himself on, everybody's feeds. Like he's the most viewed guy not because he's interesting his company because it's his company. It's literally attention. Stop just get me the attention. There's another one Tesla. Really wants the Cyber truck to be a working man's truck. Have you ever seen a cyber truck mat? Yes, I have Elon. Have you ever met a working man? Ever stepped on anything? That's not pavement I mean yeah I mean seriously it's like those trucks are built like that for a reason. I'm they have imagined like a Rancher and Idaho Hole with the Cyber truck. Know, I actually actually I cannot it's so stupid this and this is the same time that Elon here's a headline Elon quote rattled as he's brutally trolled and gaming live stream from private jet. Yeah. That was a big story while you're away. So I I guess what happened. What happened was a, he was playing a stupid game and his private jet and they were all making fun of him because he sucks and and then he just started. He blamed starlink of all things a company. Yeah, that had crappy service and he had to leave the game. That's so he cell phone. Yeah, he went online and he tried to play this game that like a Path of Exile and he claimed that he was like one of the best players in the world which is made there. So weird claim. And you know what? If it was true, I wouldn't even admit it because you have investors worried all over the glow that you don't spend enough time at your But he's and here you are admitting that. You spend 100 hours a day getting good at games. So they estimates to get as good as his character was was literally would take you 40 hours a day or somewhere. It was more hours than they're on the day. So yeah, everyone who plays the game speculated that he was just cheating. You just hired somebody to play, and then he, and then when he tried to play live for the first time and show everyone his character, his character was ridiculously good in the game like the best ever. And he didn't know what the and he didn't know what the buttons did. Like, he was literally trying to figure out how to move. And that's the player of the game. That's the part. I actually believe of the story because I tried to play Madden football for the first time in 20 years of their day, it took me four hours to learn how to hand the ball off. Everything is so confusing now. It's like there's 27 buttons, you got, you have to like bend your thumb under your index finger. There's just no way, he's no way. Imagine if like your son played Madden. Are three months straight and had an epic team and then handed you the controller and you live stream saying, I'm so good at this game. Watch me play and you didn't know to hand off the ball. Sounds like his daddy Trump with the golf tournaments. Well, then Elon went live streamed again from his jet and to quote, unquote test, our link, and all people did in the chat because these games are live streams. There's live chat, they just spammed the chat saying, you're a loser. How do you live with yourself? I can feel your sadness. Yeah, so so much. They did it so much. No one could have it. He tried to respond a couple times. Didn't work. They did it so much that he abruptly turned the game off said starlink's. Not working, and then signed up. Well, I like big petulant baby. I'm pretty old. So there's probably like three people. We're gonna understand this reference, but this reminds me when I was a kid. We had a gaming system called Atari, and then when kids, when kids would get getting beaten pretty, Bad. They would like, kind of lean over and hit the reset button. Like they would like, you know what I mean? Like they were just start the game over because they were a child. This is the equivalent of when, when I was like 12 and I was playing Nintendo and I would lose and I would throw the controller at the wall, that's what. But here's I think about this whole story. Is that a whole story is that he has investors screaming at him. He has, he has American screaming at me, shutting down school lunch for, you know, shutting down everything. He's firing everybody. That doesn't have any effect on him, but if but if a bunch of other like, childish Gamers start yelling at that's the thing that yeah, he responds to he's a real fit. Yeah, there's another headline that said, he his his cuts are creating starvation in Sudan, like he's literally starving kids and and this headline sums, it up. Huge number of people who used to like Elon Musk now to test him holding shows. Of course, I mean so, but there are other so many stories about these. Like people demanding to be like meta co-sponsored White House, Easter Egg Roll really in the middle of their Anti-Trust trial, right? Well, let's not forget what else Mark, Zuckerberg's done. He first he appointed Trump, buddy, Dana White, right? You have a couple months ago and now I think a week. Do you know how old McCormick? Yes. Exactly. Another person from the Trump Administration. I mean, Mark knows what he's doing, right. He knows. It's like, you just have to kiss up. You just please, Mr. Trump would like me. Now, invite me and then Trump himself just spent yesterday he lashed out at a British hedge fund. A British hedge fund. Yeah. Um, for shorting truth. Social they basically took a position saying she's right which is totally legal. Totally able to do and Trump. Why the company Ask the SEC to investigate the head fund for the short, right? Matt. There's good news because I've been covering all the SEC investigations and they have basically canceled every investigation inspired the principal know. But there they do have they have a completely empty docket. So they actually have time to investigate this one. No. But there's no investigator that's fired. All the investigators. Can't like one of Elon Musk like 12 year old interns do it. Yeah Doja Big Balls. Maybe so these Middle School men who are gonna make you like them is number. I don't like that one. Can we move on? I don't like that. I don't like that. Yeah, number four jokes on you Luigi. We United. Health is the is the asshole. Oh, the guy I thought you meant the Nintendo characters. So now the guy who murdered Gionee yeah, the United Health Group killer here's the headline. You United Health stock craters, as CEO calls, disappointing, results unusual and Unacceptable and usually, yeah, okay. Followed by this headline, United Health, CEO's pay jumps 12%. There you go, of course, I mean, like, come on and not to mention the fact that they spent 1.7 million on Executive Security. That's it. I mean, it shows you the ego of Mark Zuckerberg days, they routinely spend over 20 million dollars for Mars doing it wrong. You know how somebody was literally murdered and executive was literally murdered in Manhattan and yet still, Mark is spending more than, but United Health is so tone deaf that they gave the CEO in the year. Another executive was called for them being absolute shit heads. Like yeah, well, we're saying raise in the middle of the most disappointing result. They the stock dropped 22% in one day after the results. Unfortunately, 22% drop. It's only companies like ours that are paying attention to this stuff. So, yeah. And then, finally, how about re History. Okay, that could be good. I literally hate this. Yeah, I actually there's very few things. I would say, I like actually hate, you know, say I hate this and like, you're kind of exaggerating. Like, you don't actually hate gum, I don't know. That's right. Actually hate gum, I don't mind going, don't mind it reality. I hate this go ahead. Here's the headline. How did Elon Musk make his money? Okay. What's that an innocuous headline? It's identify Yahoo. Okay, I'm here's a quote. From the story. Many people would have simply taken this Larger than Life fortune that he, he was part of PayPal sold that he got, you know, 180 million dollars as a result of the sale, many people would have taken simply taken this Larger than Life, fortune and retired, but not musk. Instead, he invested 100 million to start SpaceX, 70 million to found Tesla 10 million in Solar City. Yeah, he did not found Tesla know. He Tesla was founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc tarpenning. Yeah, okay. They built the first Tesla, the Roadster. They got funded one of the. Funders was Elon Musk, okay? That does not someone who invented anything or found as part of his funding. Became chair of the board of Terror, right? Musk didn't actually run the company. He helped them with product design as chair of the board, and then In 2007, he appointed himself as CEO, right? Four years after he actually invested what he did was raise them a ton of money and then put himself as the CEO. In fact, everhard sued musk because musk refused to say he was a Founder, like, a big fucking diaper baby. Yes. And they actually had to settle and the settlement said, you have to call Martin ever. That's one of the founders as Petty and childish isn't like, but that is the future of Tesla, right? Like that's the whole thing, a petty childish, man, who was who was like, basically saying like I'm now the founder. Yeah. Um, and that's how we Works. He raises money from friends and then lies about what he actually did. He's a big fat frog, just like the video games. He's re-reading history. Oh yeah, I wonder who, where does this article from its Like, which one I'm trying to, who would say that. He's the founder of Tesla though. Who didn't do. I'm just trying to understand who didn't do their Duty. Nobody knows like nobody. Does their due diligence, right? So like these are aggregated articles, so I hate that I literally hate it. I hate that nobody looked up. Is he actually the founder of Tesla? We just taking it as wrote. Yeah. And by the way, it's not, it's not unusual that that you have Executives who they don't, usually, just take the money and retire. Usually, that's what they reinvest it into other things, that's usually what they do. It's not, that's not unusual. I don't even know what they're talking about but I just I hate it. I want to throw that one too. I don't want to talk about you. All right. So open AI blaming China, a man flakes who make you like them, United Health and rewriting history. Oh, I would just go with my instinct. I don't want to labor this. I, I, it always gets me. The blaming China thing. Always wrinkles me. I, oh, you're gonna go. It's interesting. Tell me, tell me where I messed up. Which one got you? Well, you, you don't like the rewriting history. That's the one that really, I hate the rewrite, but that's been going, but that's forever going with forever. So I get that you couldn't make it this weekend would be open AI. That would be the correct answer because I guess with the week they dropped some wishes this week drop. Yeah, you might be right, actually? And all. So they're threatening to buy Chrome from Google which I don't like. Oh my God, I'll change my phone. Say, open. I let's move on. Come on. All right, let's move on. Let's do deadline's. Winner's predictions. Thank God. Nobody wants to hear us anymore headline. Yes, I have two of them. I'll go first. First of all, here's some good news and I don't even know if I mean that sarcastically or not. The headline is Mark, Zuckerberg's wife, Priscilla Chan her tuition-free school. That champion Dei is closing after 10 years, they calling this a sound good. They're calling this event. Well I guess that's not what the category is. They're calling this a very difficult decision that came after much deliberation. But the reality is Matt is that this whole school Champions Dei and not only did Mark Zuckerberg come out against it but they're Foundation came out against the EI. So they're actually closing a tuition-free school just to prove a bigger point to you poor kids right? No no no it's not just poor kids. Most importantly it's people of color, poor kids because oh sorry, sorry, sorry he's all. So you write this. So that's just, I don't know what more there is to say really. I mean, did they send the notice to the people of color parents saying, if your kid wasn't a person of color? We keep the school open. Yeah. Look in the mirror if you're Brown. Sorry. It's over for the reason why we're closing. Yeah, they should have written that. And so, I only mentioned that because, again, if you're one of these, people still uses things like Instagram, WhatsApp. Just come just do something different. My other headline headline. Yesterday, the week, Ralph, Lauren CEO, whose name is Patricia. Patricia Levee, says, Sometimes employees need to be hit by a two, by four across the forehead to get important feedback to sink in. I like I like how specific that imagery is there not just him in the forehead but with a wooden board, a two by four. I like that. Is that a management philosophy? Well he's French. I'm guessing yes. It's a very it's still a very strong patriarchal society over there. So I'm guessing there is a board that he probably walks around with and yeah, it's probably yeah, hit them in the head with a six inch heel. He said, yeah, he should say two by four patriarchal. Um, what do you? I have two sticking with the Facebook theme and the meteor theme. And the Zuckerberg one was face. It's not Facebook. It's Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg pushes its llama for AI model to the right wants to present both sides. It wasn't already to the right. Yeah, go ahead. Well, First question, these AI models, they steal all of the world's copyrighted material that they can correct. That's how they train them. If the model comes out and it's Progressive or liberal, which is debatable in the first, but I don't even know what that means. I don't know how they're qualifying just to reflection of what you gave it like, what the world. Does yes. Another way to read this headline would be We wish that people were more conservative, so we're just going to make the model more conservative like he doesn't actually like people's thoughts, right? Well, they're stealing all the world's data anyway. I can't they rewrite the data before they steal it and just make it more conservative because then we talked about how they illegally downloaded. Like what was it seven million books from a part of the library? Why can't they go in there? Because you know, 98% of all literature is certainly not conservative but why can't they go in there and just insert horrible conservative stuff? Yeah, like every time there's a black person in a book you just replace it with white. Yeah. Like I like that. I like that would be that Tony Morrison novel. That would be a fun exercise. And second Zuckerberg encourages theater, goers to use their phones while movie is playing. That's I don't like that's Why? Yeah. Well the fucking movies. Well the poor the poor kid, the people poor people of color kids that are not gonna have a school day that's maybe that could be there just right. Is he gonna give them the free phones? Like, no tuition. So, they could pay attention to the phone to the movie course not. But, is there anything you hate more than going to the movies? I have some idiot on their phone the whole time. Yeah, like there's something. I hate more than that. It's Mark Zuckerberg. Okay, let's just do it. No, I'm gonna vote. Yeah, you know, one you go ahead. It's it's, I'm gonna the two by fours the winner because all the other Facebook one CEO kind of quit. Yeah, I just love that. He needed. He needed to be a two by four because really, he couldn't have just said, employees need to be hit across the forehead. That's already a vodka, it's already a lot already saying a lot. Yeah, a nice dope slap know he's getting, he's getting the wooden board out. I like yeah. Like he's ever touched a two by four in his life. Yeah, right. Maybe he got it from the Home Depot CEO, Ted Dekker because he's one of the most important CEOs in America now. All right? Who won the week for you? Oh, I'm exhausted. Uh, that would be. I have to scan down the document. Oh, it would be Stoners Matt. Oh, nice. Yeah. Because finally, someone targeting them four days ago, was 420 and also coincided with Easter. And there's a lot of chalk on Easter and the story we covered about Twinkies, Twinkies, and selling to stoners. And the fact that Subaru is which are mostly driven by Stoners. Let's be honest, it's like people from New England, right? Where weed is so it's just legal everywhere but that, you know, hard is when you're really high to kind of figure out these like touch panels and these cars they have knobs now, like right? So if they're sweating in a super, they can just turn the AC down with big things. Yeah, turn it down with all volume down, volume up, volume when you're cranking that, like the fish out album, it's so easy. Now, it's just so easy. All right. So I, I have a winner of the week, but I think I need to Overwrite it to your winner of the week. I that they are the winner of the week. That is definitely number one. So I'm just gonna take yours. I'm gonna oh, I like this. The first the first time it's ever happened. Yeah, I went agree with you. Do you got a prediction? I do? Okay. So in light of the recent Business Roundtable story that we covered which is actually one of the story of the week. What they didn't tell you is that that business around table is going to urge the SEC to adopt an annual meeting rule. Okay, stay with me here. A new rule. Requiring investors to memorize a unique 40 digit PIN that gains them entry into the meeting room. So why can't even get in? Unless they, they memorize a 40 and you can't write it down in a post. You're not allowed to write down, can't tattoo it on your hand. Nothing you have to memorize it. Wow, 40 digit PIN, that's brilliant. That's a that's I hope that happens but it's not anti-roll holders just, you know, it's just, it's just it might be a little woke because it's Matthew. It's gonna go, they're numbers. All right, so I'm gonna play myself out with mine good. My prediction is I saw this headline Meadows, oversight board, rebukes company over policy overall. That's a lot. Yeah, the medicine actually the board said like all these new changes and balance and no Community notes and all that bullshit they said this is horrible and met us that they would respond. Inside 60 days to the oversight. Really. That's that. Yeah. My prediction is the response will be to shut down the oversight board. That will be there. Well they pay for it. I will say this, I will say this credit Mark Zuckerberg. I suppose that he actually he picked for his oversight board 40, very impressive world leader, Scholars, world leaders from across the globe. And really, it looks kind of, whoa, kind of D would be the time. There's a lot of black people on that black people call a lot of women, it might now might be the time to shut that shit down. The oversight board is so 2019, get out of here. That's all we got. That's hazelnuts. We are free floats, come back next week. We're gonna have a smattering of shows. It's gonna be a little wonky, and then we're gonna get back to regular schedule until then, Good.
